//Authors note that characters do not belong to me! This is merely a fanfiction that I wrote for fun!//

A dark fog surrounded a soul, tearing at it in an attempt to break it. The soul did not attempt to fight against the force of the fog. It accepted this action as if it were its punishment. The soul was damaged, and it pulsated very slowly. The soul was weak and did not want to continue existing. The soul, when alive, sacrificed themselves, destroying their body. This soul lost everything it tried to protect and, in the end, died themselves, thinking that Noone loved them, no one cared for them, and that everyone hates them. It kept repeating the same words over and over again in the hope that the fog would answer it.  In the hope that it would listen to the souls' cries.

The soul begged for it all to be over. It kept saying that they wanted it all to end. For the pain to stop. The soul cried because it lost everything. It wanted nothing more but to sleep and finally get the break and ending they deserved. "Please just let it all stop, I don't want to be here anymore! Just... I don't want this anymore. I'm tired, so please just let me die!"  The soul kept saying these words over and over again, never stopping to take a breath. The fog answered to the souls cries and kept on attacking the soul, trying to break it. The soul, however, did not know someone was trying to reach it, trying to talk to them. The person who tried to reach them was listening to these words, a silent sob escaping their lungs. He asked quietly and in a nearly breaking voice, "Wei Ying...?" The soul did not answer. It did not listen to anything the man asked. The soul kept on pleading to just die.

Listening to these words, the man held in a sob. The connection broke, and the man tried to hurriedly connect to the soul again. The man failed to re-connect to the soul, failing to call upon the soul of the man he tried to call upon for years. Only to hear these heartbreaking words, the true feelings and thoughts of the person he cared so much for. He himself could not listen to these words without breaking down, yet he tried to continue to talk to Wei Wuxian.

Lan Wangji breathed heavily, his lips twitching. He sucked in a breath, trying to compose himself. He could not stop the sobs from coming out. He tried to silence himself but couldn't. He slammed his fist onto the ground, swearing under his breath. He couldn't stop the tears from falling. He didn't want to cry like this. "Wei Ying.." he sobbed out quietly in an attempt that Wei Wuxians soul would comfort him. He focused on the words that left Wei Wuxians' soul, and he couldn't stop himself from crying more and more. He didn't notice the person behind him, sighing, the person knelt down.

"Wangji, it's alright." Said a soft and comforting voice. Lan Wangji ended up being startled a little but turned around to face his brother, Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen gave Lan Wangji a reassuring smile, taking Lan Wangji into a gentle embrace. Lan Wangji continued to sob in his brothers arm. Lan Xichen gentle patted Lan Wangjis head in a way to comfort his younger brother.

Wei Wuxian woke up in a run-down hut. Talisman hanging from the ceiling and being stuck on the wall and the door. There were some shelves with a few artifacts and books, and scriptures. The place was dusty, and the hut had a metallic smell that caught Wei Wuxians' attention. He noticed that he was lying in a ritual circle that was drawn by someone's blood. He was barely awake when he heard the door of the hut opening, people coming in, and a young  lord commanding them to do something. Wei Wuxian heard the sound of wood and artifacts being shattered and broken.

He heard how papers were ripped, and on top of that, the young lord even kicked him! Wei Wuxian tried to stand up but was kicked again. His body was weak as if he hadn't eaten in days, which was most likely when someone would judge how these people treated him right now. He sighed, waiting for the turmoil to end so he could get used to this current body, which was obviously offered him. He was forcefully summoned and, on top of that, had to fulfill the summoners wish! This sacrificing ritual was used to summon a fierce spirit, and for the prize, the summoner would need to offer their soul.

Those who used this ritual mostly wanted one thing, revenge. So why not summon the Yilling Patriarch to do the revenge for him? The downside of this ritual was that it was also a curse. The wish needed to be completed. Otherwise, the soul would be harmed or even destroyed. How humiliating! Wei Wuxian would rather have stayed dead than deal with this right now!

After a long time of loud noises and kicking, the people left, and the hut became quit. Wei Wuxian sighed and attempted to stand up again. As expected, the body was weak. Wei Wuxian took a look at his wrist, four cuts. Each cut represented a life. Whether you humiliate them or the extreme, eliminate them, it needed to be fulfilled. Wei Wuxian just needed to find out who the four people are that he needed to harm.

He forced himself to stand up, and his legs felt weak. He walked over to a book that looked a little like a journal. He read through the various pages and came to the conclusion that he probably was meant to get rid of the Mo family. That young lord was probably Mo Ziyuan. To think that this kid had the audacity to kick him!

Wei Wuxian realized that he needed to eat something. Otherwise, he might starve to death. How humiliating! Dying after being summoned! Just right after he cursed to himself, a little door opened, and a bowl of rice got pushed into the hut. The little door was probably made to just push in a bowl of rice, and not even a dog could fit in that door. Wei Wuxian took the bowl of rice and stirred it a little. Dry rice. 'Better than starving, I guess' thought Wei Wuxian to himself. He started to eat the rest over rice and got a little satisfaction from having something in his stomach.

He heard some people talk outside, and he eavesdropped on them. They were talking about corpses being sighted in the village and how cultivators from a prominent sect came to help with the situation. 'A prominent sect? I wonder which sect they are referring to'. The servents conversation peeked his interest, and he intended to find out more. He finished the bowl of rice and, forcefully, kicked the door open. The two servants were shocked, and they looked at him wich terror written all over their faces.

The male servant, A-Tong, tried to shoo him back into the wooden hut. Wei Wuxian kicked him lightly, yet A-Tong still tumbled backward. Wei Wuxian laughed and headed to the place these two servants (A-Tong and A-Ding) mentioned.

He met a few people along the way, who stared at him like he was a lunatic. which was true, Mo Xuanyu was a lunatic! I mean, look at his face! Covered in white powder and his hut being covered in blood and talismans! The reason why no one paid attention to that was because they all knew he had gone mad! Wei Wuxian took some fruits on the way to the Mo manor, where the extinguished guests from a prominent sect. He really wanted to know which sect was referred to as the 'prom one', also, he might as well find out whether he was to humiliate the Mo family or wipe them out completely.

Once Wei Wuxian reached the Mo Manor, he peeked inside. He froze the second he saw the juniors. The Lan sect of Gusu! Out of all the sects, it had to be them?! How did he recognize them? Because of their funeral like clothes, of course! No other sect wore clothes as if they were going to a funeral! Wei Wuxian composed himself and cleared his mind before entering the room. He knew that Mo Xuanyu was a lunatic and therefore decided to act like one while also trying to figure out whether humiliating or eliminating the Mo family was needed.

As he expected, humiliating them was nowhere near enough. So he had to think of a way to get rid of them without drawing too much attention to himself. That proved to be quite hard, and Wei Wuxian was struggling to come up with a plan. He realized that the juniors placed the flag formation in the courtyard, like they said. He took a closer look at these flags, and his mouth curled up into a sinister smile. So they hated and wanted him dead, but they  used his creations? Laughable, these sects really were just pathetic!

Wei Wuxian noticed something was off, not with the formation but rather with himself. Why did he look like he planned on killing those juniors? There was no way the Yin Tiger Seal still had an effect on him, right? He shook that thought out his head and decided to just fool around with those juniors. He snatched one of the flags and decided to inspect them further. Naturally, the strokes weren't messed up, and the flag was usable. However, it wouldn't attract spirits, corpses, etc. in a wide range. Just maybe 2 or 3 kilometers. However, it was enough to draw in the prey and deal with it.

One of the juniors noticed that Wei Wuxian has snatched one of the flags and messed up the formation. Lan Jingyi walked towards Wei Wuxian and told him to hand over the flag. He refused, of course. Lan Jingyi threatened to punch him if he didn't hand it back, and how much fun did he have to tease that kid. Another junior jumped down, who seemed to be the leader of the group, and asked politely. "Young master Mo, would you be so kind to return the flag?" This kid really acted like someone from the Gusu Lan sect! The one who asked Wei Wuxian to hand over the flag in a polite manner was Lan Sizhui.

Wei Wuxian took another look at the flag before he continued to act out his roll and threw the flag towards Lan Sizhui He ran away laughing like crazy and Lan Jingyi wanted to say something, but it seemed like Lan Sishui shut him up before he could do so. They reformed the flag formation and went into position. They reminded him from afar not to go outside once the sun is set. Wei Wuxian didn't feel like doing that anyway, so he decided to listen to those juniors.

He walked back to the hut and went inside. He closed the door and sighed, getting used to the metal stench, which was easy. He had to get used to the roten smell and the metal scent of blood in the burial mounds, so this was easy. He sighed and sat down to meditate. He needed to clear his mind first, though, which was not calm at all. The smell of blood clouded his mind, and he remembered the time at the burial mounds.

He remembered how he tried to plant something there and how he took care of the innocent Wens! He remembered how he helped Wen Qing with taking care of the people, how he and Wen Ning cleared out any threats to guarantee that they were safe. He remembered how much fun they had, despite their lifing standards, they had a great life there. He misses them. He really did. They were like a second family. He loved to help them and protect them. He loved to play with the kids and try to teach them some things. He also loved to go out with Wen Qing to collect herbs in case anyone got sick. That way, they wouldn't run short on medical supplies.

He misses them all. He also remembered how they all are dead now, even A-Yuan. That kid was actually quit adorable. Sadly, now he was dead. (That's what he thought, at least, lol). He started to meditate after clearing his mind. Suddenly, he got woken up by the sound of shouting and footsteps rushing. They grew louder, and he realized he was being dragged outside of the hut. He looked at the people dragging him, a twisted glim in his eyes, that ge shooed away just as quick as it had arrived. They dragged him to the Mo manor and basically threw him to the ground. He looked around and found something being covered by a blanket of some sort. It reminded him of a human body, and his thoughts were true. It was a human body. It was Mo Ziyuan. His mother looked heartbroken, but upon seeing him, she fell into a fit of rage and fury.

The juniors stepped in in time and tried to explain what they had found out already.  However, Madam Mo insisted that it was Wei Wuxian who killed her son because he said earlier that he would take the arm if he touched his things again. The juniors explained that it wasn't him because he had been sucked dry and had no blood in his dead body anymore. With that said, the only thing that came to mind was a viscous ghost.

Wei Wuxian looked at the dead body and noticed something sticking out. He inspected it closer and found that it was a Spirit attraction flag. That kid basically committed suicide by picking that one up! Once you have it on you, you become a life target for resentful monsters, spirits, zombies, etc. Wei Wuxian was a bit worried that he now couldn't avenge Mo Xuanyu. He checked his wrist, and two cuts had vanished? One must have been for Mo Ziyuan, but for who was the other cut?

Wei Wuxian decided to give away what he had found out and also shut that lady up who is complaining and being rude to these juniors.. "Is that how you treat these cultivators? They came here to help you with your corpse problem, and that is how you show gratitude?! Not to mention, that son of yours isn't even a kid anymore! He should have known better and listened to these cultivators! He died at his own stupidity and recklessness! How many times have these juniors told us to stay inside and not go outside to the courtyard?"

The juniors sighed in relief once Wei Wuxian spoke up for them. Madame Mo, however, was still enraged and yelled at her husband. He didn't respond, and therefore, she told him to leave. No response from that either. Madame Mo grew even more furious and ordered the servant A-Tong to get him out. A-Tong listened and dragged Mister Mo outside. After a short while, they heard screams. No doubt this was A-Tong! Everyone rushed outside Wei wuxian, However, he took his sweet time. Once he was outside, he noticed the shocked faces and how a junior tried to force the iron grip around A-Tongs' throat to lose. However, after a short while, there was a cracking sound, and the hand finally released the throat.

A-Ding froze, and she screamed. Wei Wuxian looked at the now corpse and realized that there was also a left arm missing. The same was with Mo Ziyuan and Master Mo. They all missed a left arm and had been drained from their blood. The juniors were trying to calm everyone down so there wouldn't be too much of a turmoil. However, that task proved to be more difficult than they had expected.

Everyone was scared, and some were angry. Wei Wuxian looked at his wrist again. All scars were gone. He had bet that the last scar was for Madame Mo, but she is alive, right? He looked around to find Madame Mo and found that she was unusually pale. Sure enough, she was dead. The moment he wanted to warn them, all the candles and lights went out. Everyone panicked and ran away. The juniors had an even harder time now. One of the juniors lit up a talisman, and sure enough, the rest of the lights went on again after a short while.  The juniors sighed in a short relief. They looked around and found Madame Mo standing unmoved.

One of the juniors walked towards Madame Mo and tried to ask her if she was alright. Wei Wuxian pushed Lan Jingyi in front of Lan Sizhui. Lan Jingyis' outer robe lit up, and he removed it quickly. He turned around to meet Wei Wuxians' gaze, and he looked at him with fury. "Why did you do that! Did you plan on killing me?!" Lan Sizhui calmed him down and gave the order to throw the outer robes onto Madam Mo. The other juniors obeyed and threw their outer robes onto Madam Mo. "Formation!" Ordered Lan Sizhui. The juniors formed the formation around Madame Mo.

Wei Wuxian took notice of the left arm and pointed it out. The juniors decided, to not question how he knew that. The left arm on Madame Mos' body was twisting and trying to grab onto something. The formation wouldn't hold on much longer, so Wei Wuxian needed some corpses to keep that arm at bay. He ran towards the backyard and found a few corpses. "That's a nice find." Wei Wuxian smiled and walked over to the corpses. He knelt down and whispered into the corpses ear,: "wake up." The corpses awoke and stood up, looking at Wei Wuxian. These corpses, however, were useless. They didn't have enough resentful energy, and neither were they fierce corpses, so they just trembled in front of Wei Wuxian.

He sighed and looked for more corpses. Sure enough, the arm had broken free from Madame Mos' body. The juniors had already sent out a help signal. He needed to act quickly. He looked for more corpses and found the dead bodies of the Mo family. "This will do." Wei Wuxian knelt down and grabbed one of the corpses by the hair and whispered into its ear. "Wake up. Do you see that arm there? Kill It. You wouldn't let it harm your mother, would you?" The corpses woke up, and sure enough, they rushed towards the left arm.

The corpses fought, and the juniors stood there, watching this event go down in front of them. They were excited because they had never witnessed a corpse fight before. Sure enough, the arm was getting the upper hand, and the corpses were having trouble with keeping up. Just before Wei Wuxian wanted to use a demonic trick, the sound of a guqin played. Wei Wuxian hid behind a pillar, cursing at himself. Out of all the people who could have shown up, it had to be Lan Wangji!

The sound of the guqin, somehow, caused Wei Wuxian a light headache. He decided to run towards the hut again. Once he reached the hut, he decided to take a few breaths. He still had a headache, and it only seemed to get stronger. He felt dizzy and decided to sit down for a while. He never felt dizzy before whenever Lan Wangji played the guqing. He did not understand why he felt dizzy now. Probably the side effects of the incomplete ritual.

He sat down inside of the hut and decided to try to meditate. He took deep breaths. The metallic smell really didn't help. It somehow made him feel sick to the stomach. He took in a few breaths before closing his eyes again. He steadied his breathing. For some reason, he seemed... lost.

He felt like he was floating in a dark, foggy place. His limps felt weak, and his breath was unsteady. He looked around. His eyes seemed to be open. However, he felt like they were closed. He looked around and noticed he couldn't breathe at all. He panicked as he tried to take a breath. He clenched his fist at his chest. The fog around him seemed to come closer and closer. Once it reached him, he could only feel pain. The fog was trying to tear his limps off, one by one, trying to break him. He screamed in pain, but after a short while, he heard the familiar sound of the guqin again. The sound was relaxing and calming. It forced the fog to let go of him. He felt like he was falling. It felt like he was summoned back into his body again, only to realize that this wasn't his body anymore. It was Mo Xuanyus' body.

He sighed, his eyes feeling heavy. He looked at the person in front of him. He... was in his body? Was this the past? Is he remembering things again? He doesn't remember this happening. However, he let's himself listen to the mind calming song. Lan Wangji played the guqin carefully and calmly. He checked on Wei Wuxian from time to time again. He seemed... happy? Was he happy because Wei Wuxain was actually letting him play this song to him? Wei Wuxian was too tired for this to actually care. He fell asleep again, exhaustion taking over his mind. He heard the calming notes of guqin. His mind was starting to calm down, and he began to relax. He listened to the song carefully, even with his eyes closed.

Was all that he just experienced a dream? This felt more real than being stuck in another person's body! He started to smile gently. Lan Wangji took notice of Wei Wuxians' calm expression, including his gentle smile. He smiled at that. He was happy that he was helping Wei Wuxian with the turmoil in his mind. He decided not to talk. He plucked at the strings calmly and with gentleness. Wei Wuxian opened his eyes, letting out a satisfied sigh. He felt more relaxed than ever. He began to forget about what happened in the Mo Manor and relaxed.

"Lan Zhan, how long have I been asleep for?" Wei Wuxian casually asked. Lan Wangji continued to play carefully and took a glance at Wei Wuxian. "You have been asleep for 3 days. You passed out, so I carried you here." Lan Wangjis' words were spoken softly. His expression was neutral and focused. He observed Wei Wuxian carefully. He stopped playing the guqin with the last note. He sighed.

"Wei Ying.." Lan Wangji started. Wei Wuxian had a suspicion on what Lan Wangji was going to say and wanted to make him stop talking about it. "Wei Ying, you have to wake up again. I... stopped the turmoil. You should be able to return to the body now." Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji before his eyes widened in shock. "W-what?" Wei Wuxian asked in disbelief. He didn't hear that right, did he? This was... not the real world? This...

He woke up again. The metallic smell reached him again, and he left the hut. He looked down at his clothes, realizing that he really wasn't dreaming. He cursed at himself. He really wished that what he experienced just now was the reality. His mind really was in a turmoil before that.

He saw a donkey chewing on some green, juicy grass. He decided to use this donkey to get away from the Mo estate. Doing that, however, proved to be rather difficult. Not only was this donkey stubborn, but it was also a very picky eater. It wouldn't eat grass when it was a little yellow on the top! He somehow managed to get to a mountain. He overheard things from the locals on how this mountain had a Spirit devouring monster or something. (Yes, I skipped the part where he got the apple. Just imagine he already has it.)

He walked around and tried figuring out where that soul devouring monster or spirit was hiding. He heard people screaming and crying for help, and he rushed over to help them. He found them in a spirit-binding that was used for hunting. He realized he couldn't cut through it because he didn't have a spiritual weapon on him.

He could never wield a sword again.

He heard footsteps and decided to hide behind a bush. There was a young boy in yellow robes. Definitely from the Jin sect. He looked at the boy and realized his way of speaking. It made him feel a little angry at the boy. Little Apple (the donkey) rushed forward like a prince trying to save his fated love. Truly heroic. Wei Wuxian used some easy tricks to bring the boy down. Wei Wuxian used the boys' spiritual sword to cut the spirit-binding net open.

He sighed and gave the boy the sword back. He bit down a comment and wanted to walk away. "Why are you on the ground? Get up!" WeiWuxian flinched at the familiar voice. He turned around and saw his brother, Jiang Cheng. His heart skipped multiple beats, and he removed the leaf that was holding Jin Ling down. The leaf, however, was caught by Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng inspected the leaf and destroyed it. He looked angry at the leaf. He looked at Wei Wuxian and then at Jing Ling. "What did I tell you what you should do when you encounter someone who practices demonic cultivation? Kill them." Jing Ling drew his sword and charged at Wei Wuxian.

Jing Lings' attack was blocked by the play of the guqin. Jing Ling fell backward, but he got up right after. Jiang Cheng looked at the person who played the guqin. He was even more enraged. "So the rumors are true after all. Hanguang-Jun really does show up whenever there is chaos." Wei Wuxian was a bit confused. Lan Wangji did not reply. He only listened. Jing Ling wanted to argue with Lan Wangji, but he couldn't open his mouth. Jian Cheng knew what spell Lan Wangji used and was furious. "He is not from your sect, so you have no right to punish him!" Lan Shuzui stepped forward and bowed. "Sect leader Jian, the silence spell will release itself after half an hour. As long as young master Jing doesn't try to open it forcefully, he will be fine."

Suddenly, Lan Jingyi stepped forward and bowed down after a discpel of the Jiang sect explained that the spirit.binding nets had been cut by a blue sword. Jiang Cheng knew which sword was used, Bichen, Lang Wangjis sword. "Sect leader Jiang, the night hunts have always been a fair competition. However, 400 Immortal-Binding Nets are not a fair competition for other junior cultivators. If necessary, the Lan sect will pay you back -" Jiang Cheng interrupted Lan Jingyi. "No need. You heard them. Go. And don't return unless you catch something!"

Jing Ling looked at Jian Cheng and nodded. He headed into the forest and deeper into the mountain. Lan Wangji turned towards the juniors and told them to do their best and not overdo it. The juniors nodded and headed deeper into the mountain. Wei Wuxian was still standing there looking into the distant, lost in thought. Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian and nodded. Wei Wuxian noticed the nod and when Lan Wangji left. Wei Wuxian looked at the leaving figure and sighed. Little Apple seemed to notice Wei Wuxians' mood and nudged against his hand. "Mh? Oh. So you do care!" Little Apple knocked its head against Wei Wuxian and hmfpd'

Wei Wuxian laughed at that reaction, and little Apple seemed happy that Wei Wuxian was laughing. Wei Wuxian decided to inspect the cliff, following the compas. It led him to an old man, who was undoubtedly a Spirit, who was saying,'it hurts, it hurts' over and over again. Wei Wuxian asked where it hurt, and the old man pointed at his head. Sure enough, this was one of the spirits that had been stared awake after the thunderstorm.

After figuring something out, he decided to wash the paint of his face. After doing so, he looked at it. It was the face of a young and rather handsome man. He looked at the face, but he didn't seem to find himself in it. Silly him. How could he find himself in it? This wasn't his body. It was someone else's. Even so, he can't stop but feels disconnected from this body. It was like a nightmare. The person who you are in the dream is not necessarily you, but the dream you that your mind created. So you might not understand why 'you' were doing certain things, simply because 'you' didn't do them. By that logic, if one were to become aware of that, they might feel disconnected because they know it's a dream, or in that case, a nightmare.

That's how he felt right now. Little Apple went over to the green grass and laid down, waiting for Wei Wuxian to stop looking at his face. He sighed. Why did he out of all the people have to be forcefully offered a body? He'd rather be dead and let his soul get torn from the resentful energy than stay here any longer! These past three days have been a living hell! First, he woke up in a hut that reeked of blood. Second, he encountered Lan Wangji twice! Third, he met Jiang Cheng, who wanted Jing Ling to kill him! Come on, what kind of a start is that! It's all so rushed and confusing!

Even now, he's confused if this is real or not. The Lan Wangji in his 'dream' seemed more real than this one! He just didn't seem like him. Maybe because he's older now or it's just because Wei Wuxian feels so disconnected about reality that he feels like that. Either way, it sucks. It's like being a newborn and being forced to be able to wield  sword, walk, and talk all at the same time! It's not only overwhelming but also impossible! You can't expect someone who was dead for who knows how long to just accept the body that was offered to him and accepting the living conditions!

After thinking for so long, he realized that he wasn't at the mountain any longer. He was back in the small room like last time. Lan Wangji was sitting there again, playing the guqin. "Wei Ying shouldn't feel like that." Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji with a puzzled look. He realized what Lan Wangji meant and decided to because this seemed to be a dream, tell Lan Wangji how he feels. "Lan Zhan. I know what you mean, but how couldn't I feel like that? I'm stuck in a body that isn't my own, and things are happening so fast! Only three days have passed!"

Lan Wangji played the guqin and sighed. "Wei Ying shouldn't feel like this! Wei Ying should..." Lan Wangji was unsure if he should say: "Talk to the present me! He will help you!" But of course, he can't say that. He can't say that he knows. He can't say that it's him. The present Lan Wangji is simply coming in contact with Wei Wuxians' soul. "Lan Zhan, it's alright. It's not your fault I feel like that!" Said Wei Wuxian with a smile. He seemed more energetic now and more alive. "Wei Ying seems... energetic today!"

Wei Wuxian simply smiled and looked around in the room a little more. Last time, he didn't get the chance to look around because he was too tired. "Lan Zhan, how long have you been playing the song of clarity to me?" Lan Wangji stopped playing and looked at Wei Wuxian. "The second I took notice that you were alive." Wei Wuxain smiled at the answer. He looked towards Lan  Wangji and found a few blue flowers in a white porcelain pot. The porcelain pot had been painted with blue flowers, making it seem fitting for the blue flowers inside of it.

"Wei Ying, are you tired?" Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji and shook his head. "No! I feel like I slept for days, and my energy is beyond normal! It feels amazing!" Lan Wangji hesitated a little before saying. "Wei Ying should sleep. You need to rest more." Wei Wuxian scoffed. "Whyyy? I feel just fine!" Lan Wangji sighed. "Wie Ying, you need to sleep! Wie Ying Needs to connect to his current body." Wei Wuxian sighed and looked around a little more. "Did you decorate this place, Lan Zhan?" Lan Wangji nodded while also pointing to the bed. He wanted Wei Wuxian to sleep and not stay here any longer. He needed to be awake!

"Wei Ying Needs to return to the real world." Was the only Thing Lan Wangji said before Wei Wuxian fainted. He woke up running. He looked around and found a giant statue that resembled a dancing woman. He realized that the junors were in danger and looked for something to use. He ripped a part from a bamboo and turned it into a flute. He needed to help them!

He played something, aggressive, but effective. Due to the fact that he had been dead for a long time, his flute playing sucked and needed more improvement. But for now, it will make do! He played the quickly made flute and used his demonic cultivation. He hoped that whatever would be summoned would be strong enough for this! He heard the sound of chains being dragged on the ground. He looked around and continued to play the flute in the hope that whoever he summond would be able to understand the situation. The one who he summond was the ghost General, Wen Ning. Wasn't he supposed to be turned to ash? How was he here?

That did not matter right now! Now that he is here, he needs to make use of that. He played the flute to lead Wen Ning, and Wen Ning attacked the goddes statue. Breaking it down.

After Wen Ning had broken the statue down, Wei Wuxian realized that the tune he had played earlier was too aggressive! He needed to lead Wen Ning away while also calming him down. However, only one song came to mind. He played the song. (The lovely Melody of WangXian) Wen Ning stopped attacking the people around him and followed the play of the flute slowly. Wei Wuxian continued to step back, making sure Wen Ning would follow him. After a while, he managed to get away from the juniors. He still kept playing and leading Wen Ning further away. Unexpectitely someone was behind him. That said, the person grabbed Wei Wuxians' wrist in a firm grip. Wei Wuxian realized that the juniors were closing in, so he decided to play a fast tune. In the hope that Wen Ning would understand and run away.

Once he started playing, the grip on his wrist increased. His wrist hurt, but he continued to play. Continuing to tell Wen Ning to run as quickly as he can. And he did, Wen Ning understood the hurried tune and fled. Wei Wuxian dropped the bamboo flute due to the force of the grip on his wrist. He looked at the person who was holding his wrist in such a firm grip. It was Lan Wangji. He looked at him with an unreadable expression. Wei Wuxian looked at the present Lan Wangji. He was older now. He seemed even more serious. However, once again, he felt like things were happening too fast. He was quiet for a while before suddenly Lan Wangji played the guqin, blocking the attack of Zidian. This went on for a long while. Wei Wuxian was thinking of what he should do. Even if it seemed to him like he was thinking for a long time, the time around him seemed to slow down. Everything mostly came to a halt when he thought about it.

He knew Jiang Cheng had a reason to hurt him and let him take his anger out on him. It would never justify what he did. He knows that. He stood there in silence watching this go down slwoly. He thought about the time the Wens arrived at Lotus Pear. He ended up getting whipped by Zidian as a punishment. He can still recall the way it hurt, as Lightning cursed through his body with every hit. He took the punishment. He accepted the punnishment like a child who did something wrong. He wasn't able to protect Jian Cheng, and neither was he able to protect his ShiJie, Jiang Yanli. He failed at that. He failed to protect the ones he cared about.

No. This isn't the time to think about that. He needed to clear his mind again, deep breaths. He decided to leave the scene. Once he was out of Lan Wangjis' protection range, Zidian hit him. He fell forward, but luckily, Little Apple was there to block him from falling further. He needed to act quickly and get into the role of a lunatic. "Wow! Must be nice, coming from such a powerful clan, eh? Beating whoever you want!" Jiang Cheng was stunned at that. Zidian had a special ability. However, it did not work on Wei Wuxian. Duh, because he didn't posoes someon, he was forcefully offered a Body!

Jiang Cheng wanted to strike again, but Lan Jingyi stepped in. "Sect leader Jiang, Zidian does not make mistakes. It proved that Young Master Mo is not possed." Jiang Cheng thought about it and tskd. Zidian doesn't lie. It would be an emerassedment if he were to use Zidian again! So he decided to let it be for now. "Come with me." Everyone knew that whenever the Yunmeng Jiang sect caught a demonic cultivator, they would never return. Lan Jingyi protested, saying that Zidian is proof enough. Lan Shizhui quickly shut him up, reminding him of Lan Wangjis' presence. He shut up immediately. Lan Shizhui decided to say something. "Why don't we let Young master Mo decide? After all, Zidian had already proven that he was not possessed."

Jiang Cheng thought about and scoffed but waited for Wei Wuxian to say something. He really didn't want to go with either of them, but for some reason, he felt Dizzy. So, trusting Lan Wangj in his dreams, he decided to trust the present Lan Wangji. "I will go with Hanguang-Jun!" Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian, a certain softness in his eyes once Wei Wuxian said that. They turned to leave, and Wei Wuxian followed them back to Gusu.

Once they arrived at Gusu, he took notice of the sect rules. A thousand more had been added! How ridcolus! He sighed and was a bit hesitant at first, but Little Apple followed Lan Wangji, so Wei Wuxian decided to do the same. He doesn't know why, but the Lan Wangji in his dreams seemed to calm him down a lot. The dark thoughts leaving him the second he hears him Play the guqin. Once he entered the Gusu Lan Sects estate, he felt a bit watched? However, that did not matter. He only followed Lan Wangji. Lan Wangji brought him to a rather quiet place. (Never said I'll be going with the complete storyline, lol) The place looked rather beautiful. There were many flowers planted, and the trees had a beautiful green-blue like color. There were even the rabbits he had gifted Lan Wangji back then. He chuckled to himself quitely. Who would have thought that he would take a liking to these little guys?

Lan Wangji seemed hesitant to ask something. Wei Wuxian noticed it but seemed to find it innapropriat to ask. After a few more minutes, Lan Wangji asked rather quitely. "Are you, Wei Ying...?" Wei Wuxian was quiet for a bit, seemingly lost in thought. That seemed to be an answer for Lan Wangji, who seemed rather happy about that. "Please, sit down." Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji, a bit hesitant to do so. But even so, he did just that. The atmosphere wasn't necessarily ense. It was just a little uncomfortable. "Wei Ying, how long have you been -" Wei Wuxian knew what Lan Wangji was going to ask and replied to the question before Hand. "Nearly four days now." Lan Wangji was quiet for a bit before nodding. "So, how have you been so far?" Lan Wangji asked rather nervous. Wei Wuxian thought for a moment, realizing that he didn't really be good nor bad, but just rather confused and overwhelmed. "Well, things simply seem to happen a little... too fast." Lan Wangji nodded.

"Wei Ying, how do you feel right now? If you are comfortable saying that is.." Wei Wuxian was quite for a bit. With the Dream Lan Wangji, he was honest about how he felt. Wei Wuxian tried to form a scentance. However, he couldn't think of one. He decided to put it simple. "Just a little stressed. That'S all." Lan Wangji seemed to know what he meant by that and sighed. He looked at Wei Wuxian and thought for a moment. "Wei Ying, do you feel...comfortable in that body?" Wei Wuxian was quiet for a moment. "It's alright. There's no need to worry." Lan Wangji did worry.

"Wei Ying, do you want me to play the song of clarity?" Wei Wuxian thought for a second and have barely noticeable nod. Lan Wangji started to play the song of clarity. Wei Wuxian listened to the song and closed his eyes. Hearing the song of clarity from the real Lan Wangji, it was rather soothing. He smiled at the calming sensation. Wei Wuxian realized he seemed rather tired, and a yawn escaped him. He didn't realize how tired he was until now. Lan Wangji noticed but continued to play the song of clarity. Waiting for Wei Wuxian to fall asleep.

After a few more seconds, Wei Wuxian actually fell asleep. Lan Wangji finished playing the song of clarity and walked towards Wei Wuxian. He knelt down and picked Wei Wuxian up. His chest was rising and falling in a steady motion. He seemed peaceful like this. He wasn't in pain this time. "Rest, Wei Ying."

Once Wei Wuxian woke up, he found himself in a room within the cloud estate. He looked around, and he felt more relaxed than before. He wanted to stand up, but someone gently pushed him down again. "Wei Ying should sleep a little more. You need the rest."

Wei Wuxian was a bit stunned by the fact that Lan Wangji was being so...kind to him. He simply nodded and decided to close his eyes again. Surprisingly, he did fall asleep very easily.

This happened a few more times until it was 3 p.m. Wei Wuxian woke up again. He felt relaxed and actually well rested. He looked around to see if he would find Lan Wangji again, to no one's suprise he was there. He was playing the guqin again. Once he noticed that Wei Wuxian was awake, he stopped playing. "You're awake." Wei Wuxian yawned and stretched his arms.

"Yeah, after you told me to go to sleep for like 3 more times." Lan Wangji smiled, and Wei Wuxian was stuned. Lan Wangji actually smiled?! "How do you feel now?" Wei Wuxian thought for a moment, realizing he felt connected to the body now.

"I feel... alive? How did you...?" Lan Wangji smiled gently at Wei Wuxian. "I realized you seemed rather disconnected to that body, despite the fact you have fulfilled the previous owners' wish. So I decided to help Wei Ying by playing the song of clarity."

Wei Wuxian wanted to think for a moment again. "Don't think too much. It's not good for Wei Ying." Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji and nodded. "Alright."

Lan Wangji played the song of clarity every morning and evening. He helped Wei Wuxian get used to the new body and try to get him to be more comfortable in it. After a month, he was somewhat used to it and started to accept it. Lan Wangji was very patient with Wei Wuxian. After three more months, Wei Wuxian was starting to actually realize what was happening around him, and he was beginning to be more energetic.

After five months, Wei Wuxian was basically like his old self again. The young boy from Lotus Pear, who loved to bend the rules and do as he pleased.
