Bored.
It's all Hellboy manages to think as he watches the clock ticks agonizingly slow at the front of the classroom. He's slumped over in his desk, his arms crossing over each other while his chin rested on top.
He does his best to drown out the monotonous lecture that seems to echo throughout the room. The professor gesturing to the lines of literature on the whiteboard.
It's the last class he has for the day before he's gotta hoof it to practice.
He couldn't help but crack an eager grin, wanting nothing more than get on the rink and bust in noses and tackle his teammates in the ice.
Yeah. He'll have lots of fun.
But that's an entire hour away and until then he's stuck in this lecture hall.
He huffs and turns to rest his cheek on his arm; his gold eyes flicking around the large classroom, peering at the sea of students until he sets his sights to his side and sees Abe diligently take notes.
He murmurs quietly to himself, his pen zipping through the notebook studiously, while chewing on the nail of his thumb on his other hand.
Hellboy smirks. He was bored and his friend will have to suffer for it. As he thinks of the quietest, yet most effective way to disrupt Abe's concentration a gentle knock is heard on the classroom door.
His attention, along with the rest of the class is turns to the door.
Professor Broom stops, excuses himself and makes his way.
Everyone watches intently as he quietly opens the door and lights up softly.
"You must be John," he greets warmly. He opens the door wider. "elcome, welcome."
A scrawny, young man is ushered in. He mutters a nervous apology as he enters, doing his best to not look at the crowd of students before them. He looked like he was in a hurry.
The guy had on regular jeans and a white polo shirt. It had wrinkles and only half of his shirt tail was tucked in. He had a light gray hoodie on top that had definitely seen better days. His mousy brown hair had a few strands that stuck in different directions.
Hellboy catches a glimpse of his hazel eyes.
Broom chuckles lightly before turning to address his class. "Students, this is John Myers. He'll be my assistant for the remainder of the semester."
John gives a nervous wave, not quite meeting the classes wondering gaze.
Broom continues.
"Midterms are coming up very soon and John will be here if you've any questions about the course so far. He's quite knowledgeable in this field, so it'll do you some good to ask questions and get some help homework and our upcoming test."
Broom lists out John's office hours along with own, as he concludes he glances at his wristwatch and his brows furrow.
"It seems as though our time has ended. You are dismissed. I hope to see you all Wednesday this week!"
The scraping of chairs and desks is heard throughout. Hellboy and Abe stay, watching the students trail out.
The Myers guy turns to see them both still seated, cocking his head to the side.
"Hey." Hellboy gives a half smile.
