"So, there's good news and bad news," was the worst sentence Minho could ever hear as he waited in the Vet's waiting office, hoping Chan would come back with just good news for his Soonie. "Which would you like to hear first?"
But Minho couldn't even speak, his mind racing so many miles per second as he imagined so many ways his poor Soonie could be hurt, or in pain, or both! Not his Soonie, not his first sibling.
Seeing Minho about to burst into tears, Chan starts stumbling over his words to make the younger feel better. "The go-good news is that nothing is wrong!"
Minho froze inside and out as if his emotions just switched off. "What.. What's the bad news then?"
"We don't know why he isn't eating.. It might be the food or he might be depressed, anxious, it's not something we're able to determine here, you'll have to take him to a cat specialist or- or! Actually," Chan pauses as he rushes behind the counter, hurrying to scribble something on paper before rushing back over towards Minho. "There is this guy, name's Han Jisung, who can talk to animals so he'll most likely be able to help you with Soonie."
Someone who can talk to animals? Sure, Minho has met a few witches and encountered a vampire before but none of them have just a power like this.
"Why am I only hearing about him now?"
"He doesn't want a lot of business, usually, he's only known by word-of-the-mouth kind of thing," Chan explains before handing over the paper. "Give him a text, don't call, he hates phone calls, and he should be able to see Soonie within the next few days."
"Days?" Minho huffs, worried, "Soonie hasn't today or yesterday, I need to see him today, I can't let Soonie go hungry!"
Chan just sighs with a shrug before offering his advice, "tell him I asked if he could see you today, I know you're worried Minho but please don't be demanding."
Minho agrees easily, knowing it wasn't smart to get on the bad side of someone who could help him. Chan came back out with Minho's cat carrier backpack with Soonie sitting inside patiently as if he wasn't worried that his owner was losing his mind on getting him help.
With some encouraging words from Chan, Minho started to message the number as he exited the Vet's building.

Minho was so anxious, all he could do was sit in his car fussing over Soonie where he was parked near the location Jisung had sent. When the time came, it led Minho into a small little shop next to equally small little shops. One of the windows next to the door showed the times in which this place was open but plastered on the door said " Seo Records " which made Minho concerned on if he had the right place or if he was being punked.
Minho just took a deep breath, made sure Soonie was comfortable in his carrier, before entering the store.
The bell above the door chimed as Minho entered, coming into what seemed like an ordinary music store with instruments lining the walls and racks full of records and music sheets. There was a counter just right to the door, in front of the window where a decently buff guy but shorter than Minho was standing, scribbling something down.
"Can I help you?" The worker asked without even lifting his head to look at him.
"I'm, uh, looking for Han Jisung?" Minho shifted awkwardly. Maybe Minho should have messaged Jisung to make sure this was the right place.
The worker actually looked up this time, made eye-contact with Minho before looking down to see Soonie through the mesh in the backpack. With a loud sigh, he just pointed towards the back of the store where a closed door was that just said 'please knock'.
Giving the worker his thanks, Minho rushes back there and quickly knocks a few times, shifting his feet as he waits.
Though, when the door opened, Minho did not expect Jisung to look like this.. Truthfully, Minho didn't have a person in mind and yet, Jisung's features still surprise him with his very chubby cheeks, wide doe eyes, and his smile pulled into a heart shape. He just looks so adorable and cute at the same time.
"Minho-ssi?"
"Y-yes," Minho can't help but stutter before blushing as Jisung lets out an adorable little giggle. "That's me.."
"Come in," Jisung opens the door wider to reveal a small but cute office with a desk in the left corner, a couch against the right wall with a bookshelf next to it, and a table right against the back wall. "You can place the carrier on the table and I can take care of him."
Minho sets the backpack carrier on the table, unzipping it and detaching Soonie's leash connecting his harness to it on the inside.
Minho expected Jisung to then start asking him questions about Soonie but instead, Jisung bends down to his cat's height and begins asking Soonie the questions.
"Hi! My name is Jisung.." Meow . "Oh, well, nice to meet you Soonie," Jisung introduces himself and Minho doesn't know whether to be surprised or impressed that Jisung can actually talk to animals even though that's what Chan said he could and that Jisung is exactly what he needs right now.
"Well, Minho was telling me that you refuse to eat the food he bought you?" Meow . "..Ah- oh, really?" Meow . "I see, let me tell him then," Jisung lifted himself back up to full height and turned towards Minho who was still semi-starstruck by this person having a literal conversation with his cat. "Did you happen to change Soonie's food recently?"
"Um- I, yeah but only because the last type of food was apparently very unhealthy for cats so I picked a more healthier option.. Is he not eating it because he doesn't like it?" Is Soonie being an absolute little shit and starving himself because he doesn't like the food Minho is feeding him!?
"Well, the way he explains it is that like when you use to eat dirt for like the first few years of your life but then finally getting to eat like a gourmet dinner for a few months before having to switch back to dirt," Jisung tries to explain it as Soonie had annoyingly told him.
Minho just scoffed, irritated, before leaning down to Soonie's height, directing his emotions towards his cat. "That food wasn't good for you! I want you to live a long, healthy life and it doesn't include eating that trash!"
Minho froze as Soonie let out a loud hiss towards him causing both Minho and Jisung to flinch back.
Soonie just hissed at him!
Flabbergasted, Minho snaps his head towards Jisung for an answer.
"Um.. Soonie doesn't like being yelled at with that tone," Jisung shrugs sheepishly.
With a deep sigh, ridding him of his annoyance, Minho leans back down towards Soonie, "Soonie, please, I can't keep switching your cat food, it could make you sick."
Meow . The cat sat back on his butt and turns his head away from his owner.
"Soonie still wants a different food choice, a more tastier one, he says," Jisung bites his lip to stop from laughing at this whole interaction. At times like these, Jisung loves helping owners and their pets for the entertainment of owners trying to plead with their stubborn pets who just want more toys or more attention or even different kinds of food.
While a loud groan and the roll of his eyes, Minho relents, "fine! But, I'm only giving you the chance to try 2 more food options and then you're going to have to pick which one and no changing, deal?"
Jisung didn't need to interpret afterwards as Soonie reached forward and rubbed his head against Minho's face with a loud purr.
"Stubborn little shit," Jisung could hear Minho mumble into Soonie's fur as he picks up his cat, unable to stop the giggle escaping him as he watches the pair bond.
Having slightly forgotten where he was, a little startled to hear Jisung giggle, Minho faces the younger with a shy smile, carefully placing Soonie back in the cat carrier backpack and zipping it up.
"Um, thank you- a lot! For this, Jisung-ssi," Minho blushes as fumbles around with the zipper.
"Of course! I love helping animals in need, and helping such cute owners less stressed," Jisung softly mumbles at the end of it but still loud enough for Minho to hear, looking towards the older with a knowing wink.
Minho wasn't known for blushing or even showing emotions but how could he not be so quickly fond and crushing on this very cute boy with the powers to help his cat, and even wants to help without being convinced!
Noticing how Minho hasn't really said anything and is sort of just in a blushing trance, Jisung giggles again before opening the door back to the music shop with a smile.
"Well, you can always message me if you need anymore help, okay, Minho-ssi?"
"Yes- okay.." Minho nods, slowly shifting on the carrier but heading out the door except for one last turn back towards Jisung. "Ah.. You can also call me hyung, if that's alright?"
"Awesome Minho-hyung," Jisung gives him a very wide, gummy smile that shows how his mouth forms into a heart and if Minho could get anymore red without bursting, he's sure he would.
Without another word, Minho gives the younger a panicked smile before rushing out the music shop door while ignoring the store worker's look as he passes him.
Minho all but collapses against the outside wall with a huff, mumbling something close to how he's very weak for cute and caring guys. After hearing a small meow from Soonie that sounds like he agrees, Minho pushes himself off the wall and heads to his car.
Time for a stop at the pet store.
☆ ~ 2 ~ ☆
"Soonie!" Minho calls over to his first cat, patting the spot next to him as he has finally settled down on his couch, ready to start binge watching a new TV series that Chan has recommended: Supernatural. A show with 15 seasons and has a pretty great story-line according to Chan so Minho decided to give it a try.
And what makes it even better is that Soonie loves to binge watch with Minho.. Except for that Soonie just likes to sleep near Minho and not actually watch but since Soonie's a cat, Minho isn't mad. He just enjoys the company of his animals.
Animals. Plural.
Minho has gotten another cat, Doongie, whom he just fell in love with when he was volunteering at the nearby shelter and met Doongie.
The only problem is that Soonie doesn't seem to like Doongie and Minho has no idea on how to make them get along. Instead of Soonie settling next to Minho on the couch like usual, Doongie decided to jump up on the humans lap and make it his current resting place as the cat quickly settled down to sleep on the thick thighs all while Soonie, sitting on top of the cat tree in the corner, seemed to glare at Doongie and Minho before turning away.
Back when Minho first volunteered and took care of Soonie at the same shelter, the cat was nice and even a bit playful to the other cats that remained there. Sure, Soonie hasn't been around another cat for about 6 months but that doesn't mean he would go hating all other cats automatically.. Right?
Or was this a territorial thing..?
With a loud groan, Minho fell back against the couch, softly apologizing with a pet for shifting as Doongie looked up at him with annoyance before quickly settling back down. Minho wished he could just easily speak with his cats like the cat whisperer from before could: Jisung.
Just like every time Minho meets a new guy who is his type, he thinks about Jisung for a week, maybe two, before slowly moving on with his life and focusing on school, work, and his cats..
Except now that Minho needs the powered male's help again so they must meet again.. This hasn't happened before with Minho's past crushes, one quick meeting before they never see each other again but if this helps his precious babies get along, then there is no harm in trying.
Minho had ignored the want to see Jisung the first week, having no reason too, but.. Now he does!

While Soonie was used to the backpack carrier and harness, Doongie was not and fought with Minho every step of the way. Soonie looked smug as he sat in his carrier all ready to go, watching Minho struggle with putting Doongie's legs through the harness, arguing with the cat.
"Keep your little fucking paws- Doongie! Stop trying to leave!" Minho growled in annoyance through the struggle, slightly becoming more worried about being late to meet with Jisung. He doesn't want the cute boy thinking he's not punctual or unreliable. He wants the cute boy to like him so if his little shit of a cat would just cooperate-!
Through very quick maneuvers, Minho manages to secure the harness around Doongie's legs and backs with a victory screech.
"Aha!" Minho joyfully yells before spending the next 10 minutes struggling to put the stubborn cat into the backpack carrier.
By the time Minho makes it out of his apartment and has the cats secured into his car, he notes that he'll be 10 minutes late if he doesn't break any speeding laws. Damn. Minho almost messages the cute boy about being late but decides to just floor it and hope no cops are around to catch him.
Throughout the whole drive, Doongie was doing his best impression of a cat screaming his head off. Minho gave him an 8.9 rating out of 10 since Doongie had to keep pausing to breathe. Soonie was an angel during the drive like always.
The only problem was as Minho had parked and was putting one of each of the carrier's straps onto his shoulder, Soonie began growling at Doongie for being so close.
Please let Jisung help these two get along.
As Minho steps into the Record Store, there is still the same employee as last time, sitting at the counter while writing over a notebook. He still doesn't look up.
"Welcome, how can I help you?" The employee asks in a very monotone voice.
"I'm just here to see Jisung, again," Minho gives the worker a tight-lipped smile as he heads to the back, wincing at the sound of his cat still growling at the other one as he knocks on the back door.
"Minho-hyung!" Jisung cheerfully greeted as he opened the door, his smile pulling into a heart shape as he lets Minho enter the room before shutting the door. "Come in, come in."
"Hello again, Jisung," Minho smiles politely at the younger, feeling his ears grow warm at how happy Jisung seemed to be when seeing Minho. He carefully put the carriers on the table and unzipped them like last time but left the cats inside with their harness still attached to the packs. Minho does not want to have Jisung watch him struggle to put Doongie back in the carrier.
"Alrightio, let's get down to business, what is the matter Soonie? I thought we weren't going to have to meet again," Jisung bends down to the cat's height like last time but has his head turned towards Soonie. If Minho didn't want to date the cute boy before, he sure does now because how Jisung can just so easily tell the difference between the two cats after only meeting one for a brief period of time has gotten him stumped.
Meow ! Soonie responds very loudly, non-stopping as Jisung obviously tries to hold back his laugh. Soonie only stops his meows when Doongie hisses at him. Minho just watches this interaction looking very concerned.
"Well-" Jisung starts before letting out a few chuckles. "That is a problem, what do you want me to tell Minho?"
Meow ! Doongie responds even though the question was directed at Soonie.
"Okay, I understand that Doongie but Soonie is the one with the problem.. Soo..?" Jisung pats Doongie on the head before turning back towards Soonie to answer.
Meow .
"Got it," Jisung nods as he rises back up to full height, turning towards Minho with a sheepish smile. "So, Soonie is upset you're giving Doongie all your attention instead of him."
"Wha- that's not true!" Minho sputters at the thought of favoring one of his babies over another.
But Soonie disagrees as he lets out a loud hiss towards his owner.
Both humans looked very shocked as they stared at Soonie who begins licking his paw, obviously looking away from Minho.
Minho looks towards Jisung for reassurance for that being what Soonie actually said and frowns as the tight lipped nod Jisung gave him. With a soft sign, Minho slowly moves to kneel on the floor in front of the table causing the cat to be higher than his head.
"Soonie.. I'm so sorry I've been neglecting you, I didn't realize it as I was trying to make Doongie comfortable in this new environment," Minho explains, voice tight as if to hold back tears from accidentally hurting his baby. Soonie quickly looks back towards Minho, easily swayed by his human.
It helps that Soonie wasn't totally upset, mainly jealous but is very happy to know it wasn't intentional.
Soonie sniffs before letting out a small meow as he looks away, looking aloof.
Minho glances towards Jisung, confused and worried that his cat is still very upset with him.
Except that Jisung smiles brightly, showing a gorgeous heart shaped smile.
"He's waiting for you to pet him."
Minho blinks as if he can't believe him but from the encouraging nod from the other human, Minho bounces on his knees for a second before turning back towards Soonie, slowly raising a hand up to his pet's face.
And just like that, Soonie presses his face into Minho's palm with a soft purr, rubbing his head against him.
Minho does a mini squeal, quickly forgetting Jisung was in the room with them as he quickly picks up Soonie and cuddles his cat to his chest with a happy little wiggle, nuzzling his face into the cat's fur, all while Soonie just lets him with a continues purr.
Jisung and Doongie watch, one giddily smiling with the other pouts, licking their paw as they come to the realization of what's to come. And the latter isn't Jisung.
Eventually, Doongie meows, annoyed as he bounds up to the pair, pawing at Minho's waist.
Soonie hisses instinctively as he burrows deeper into Minho's arms causing Jisung to laugh at the attitude the cat was currently sporting.
"C'mon Soonie," Jisung speaks up, coming over to pet the two cats at the same time. "Minho is going to give you both equal amounts of attention but you also need to start being nice to Doongie."
Meow .
Soonie yowls, upset.
"Soonie.." Jisung warns as he crosses his arms, engaging in a staring contest with the cat.
If Jisung hadn't proven he could speak to his babies, Minho would've thought of him as crazy but now.. He can't help but see him as extremely adorable in the way he acts with his cats.
Even as Jisung's eyes start to water and twitch, trying to solve his burning eye solution but slowly blinking one eye at a time, he refuses to back down from Soonie's unwavering stare.
Until Minho speaks up with a pleading, "Soonie," does the cat finally let out a little huff, before wiggling himself out of Minho's arms to plop on the table. Both humans stare in curiosity and concern as Soonie makes his way over to a confused Doongie before Soonie starts to groom right across Doongie's face.
Doongie tries whacking Soonie in retaliation but as Soonie does the same, both cats standing on their hind legs with the paws up in the air, Jisung giggles.
The soft sound breaks up the tension between the cats as Doongie sits back down first with a slight pout as Soonie goes to groom him again. Minho, happily, doing a little side-step dance as he watches the two cats finally, finally, get along. All thanks to Jisung.
"Ah, thank you so much!" Minho grabs onto the younger's shoulders, shaking him slightly with joy before freezing as the position he put them in, unintentionally glancing down to Jisung's lips. Feeling his cheeks and ears heat up as well as Jisung lets out a soft, confused but endeared laugh, Minho accidentally pushes him slightly away, rubbing at the back of his neck, embarrassed.
Jisung does another slight giggle, covering his lips as he glances at Minho before turning back to the adorable cats.
"It's no problem! I love helping precious animals such as these," Jisung bends down to stare at them closely, both animals glance at him for a little before slowly going back to ignoring him as Doongie tries to ignore Soonie licking all over his fur.
"That's- Ehem.. That's great! So.. You do this often then?" Minho stutters to keep the conversation going, to slightly know more about the chubby cheeked man as he leans down to also pretend to stare at his kitties but is looking at Jisung from the side.
"Mm, yeah, I usually volunteer at the shelters around the city to help them figure out if their animals need anything or to let them know about anything that might help new owners know about the pets if they plan to adopt them," Jisung explains and Minho could practically feel his heart grow triple in size from how caring and selfless Jisung is for these creatures.
Is this what the Grinch felt like at the end of the movie?
"That's.. That's just amazing for you to do that," Minho praises.
"Well, I feel if anyone should help, it should be me considering I can properly understand the animals and make their lives easier as they finally get to be fully heard," Jisung shrugs it off, cheeks slightly glowing at the praise.. He hears it a lot but it still makes him blush.
"Well, I mean. You don't have to but the fact you feel the need too is just really great," Minho gushes, slightly worried he's overdoing it but the way he catches Jisung looking away with a wide smile makes him feel fuzzy inside.
Gah, why does he have to be so caring and adorably sweet!
The two fall in silence as they just watch the cats, Doongie now beginning to groom Soonie while Soonie keeps trying to place a paw on his head to stop him from doing so without being too rough.
But the longer they watch the cats without talking, Minho wonders if this is awkward and if Jisung is feeling too awkward to say anything and if they should've been leaving by now. Minho would like to stay longer, talk more with Jisung but what if he's busy?
"So," Minho starts, speaking accidentally loud to where he causes Jisung to flinch next to him which causes him to flinch as well, the cats also stop and look up at him. "Ah- sorry.. I just think it might be time for us to get out of your hair?"
"Awe, already?" Jisung does a sad little pout before nodding and heads towards the kitties. "You two better behave now for Minho-hyung, alright?"
Meow .
Hissss .
Meow !
Mew ..
Jisung laughs lovingly as the cats argue for a moment before both walk up to the edge of the table towards Jisung, letting out soft purrs as he says goodbye to them with many pets.
"Thank you again.." Minho speaks as Jisung helps the cats into their carriers, walking over to pick up the containers.
"Anytime hyung, really.. Don't be afraid to message me," Jisung blinds him with his smile as he walks Minho out the backroom and to the front door of the shop, passing by the shop worker. "Be right back Binnie!"
Binnie just waves at them without looking, still looking down at his notebook as the two step out of the shop.
Out on the sidewalk, Minho turns towards Jisung with a shy smile as he shifts the carriers in his hands for a moment, unsure of what to say but thankfully, it's Jisung who speaks.
"Bye Soonie, bye Doongie! .. Bye Minho," Jisung gives him a slight wink that causes Minho to malfunction and just stare as the cat whisperer heads back into the shop without another look towards the cat owner.
God, he is so incredible.
♢ ~ 3 ~ ♢
"Doongie!" Minho calls out as he sets a box full of cat toys to the side, unable to unpack them until his new chest box specifically for all the cat toys arrives and not wanting them just strewn around his new apartment. "Soonie!"
He calls for them both and since his last meeting with Jisung, his babies have been more 'understanding' of what he wants from them so when he does call their name, they would come atleast 75% of the time.
The other 25% is Doongie not showing up, especially recently for whatever reason.
One of those times seems to be now as Soonie walks out from exploring the kitchen to see what Minho needs. He sits and waits impatiently for Doongie to show up but when the cat doesn't Soonie meows towards Minho to explain what he needed from them. Minho frowns but has Soonie choose a spot for where to put their large scratching & relaxing tower, moving it in front of the window per Soonie's orders, knowing he's done a good job when Soonie stretches out on the top platform, letting out a loud purr as he bathes in the sun.
Leaving a now happy Soonie to rest, Minho goes looking for Doongie and is almost 100% sure he knows where is currently hiding.. The same place Doongie has been hiding since Minho moved into the apartment almost a week ago.
And he was proven correct as he spots the little lump curled up under his blankets on his bed.
"Doongie.." Minho frowns as he slowly crouches on the bed and peels up one corner of the blankets until he can barely see Doongie's orange/white face in the darkness.
Mew .
Doongie just meows pitifully, curling into a tighter ball to hide his face.
Minho wants to just hold his baby but he doesn't know if it'll make it worse.. What's wrong with his sweet boy?
Of course, someone instantly popped into his mind but Minho didn't want to seem desperate and that he was such a terrible cat dad that he constantly needed Jisung's help every time something seemed off with his babies. He could also take them to the vet but he was trying to save his money now that he'd finally move out of his shitty apartment and spent most of his savings on the deposit for this new one..
Jisung first! Then maybe the vet depending on what Jisung says..

Minho then spent the next 30 minutes trying to clean up his apartment littered with cardboard boxes & random clutter he didn't want to waste finding time to find a place for so he just set them aside as he unpacked random boxes. And even though he had just moved into this new apartment, he didn't want Jisung to even think of him as messy or disorganized..
He is organized! He's just unpacking!
Eventually, there is a soft knock on his front door that he almost thought he had imagined it.
But opening the front door revealed the most amazing person he has currently ever met.
"Hey Jisung, thank you so much for coming," Minho thanks him as he opens the door wide enough to allow the male to come in. And if he couldn't get any better, Jisung makes sure to remove his shoes right as he steps inside, leaving them to the side of the door.
"Hey Minho! Of course, I couldn't just leave you and Doongie hanging," Jisung follows his hyung as he is led into the living room, catching all the cardboard boxes and half filled furniture around the room. "Are you moving?"
"Oh- no, I actually just moved into this apartment, I was just unpacking," Minho explains sheepishly, rubbing at the back of his neck.
Jisung just nods as he takes in the room before spotting the curious cat looking over at him as they sunbathe from his tower.
"Oh, hi Soonie!" Jisung greets enthusiastically as he bounds over to the cat, allowing the kitty to sniff at his hand for a second before pressing his face into the human's palm with a loud purr. "Haha, I missed you little friend."
Minho's heart practically explodes as Soonie reacts so comfortably and lovingly towards Jisung, both being considered friends.
"Alright, where is Doongie?" Jisung slightly frowns as he heads back towards Minho, remembering why he was here and not to just hangout with Minho and his cats.
Minho guides Jisung to his bedroom, partially glad he didn't label his boxes of secret lingerie and toys that are currently hiding in the corner.
"Doongie?" Jisung speaks softly as he walks forward towards the bed, spotting the little lump under the blankets shift slightly at the sound of his voice before continuing to hide under. With a soft sign, he glances towards Minho for permission as he lifts up the edge of the blanket to go under and with an approved nod from the eldest, slowly crawls under the blanket, trying to keep the light from coming in as he wiggles his way until he can see the scared cat. "Hi Doongie.."
Meow !
"Ah, yeah, I'm here.. I missed you!" Jisung's voice is muffled from under the blankets before Minho watches, biting his thumb nail nervously.
Mew ..
"But.. But that's not all I'm here for Doongie! Why are you hiding under here? Me and Minho are very worried something is wrong.."
Hissss !
"Oh.. Oh! That's why? You don't have to worry Doongie! Minho isn't going to get rid of you, you're still here after all, with your family!" Jisung explains but Minho frowns, wondering why on earth Doongie thought Minho might be getting rid of him. He would never ever get rid of his babies.
Meow ..
"Ah, yeah, I can see why you'd think that but don't worry, it's just a new home but with the same people, you don't have to worry about being separated.. I promise you that!"
Mew .
Jisung sighs under the blanket, going quiet for a few seconds. "Alright, but you do have to come out a few times until it's all settled, alright? Not a lot, maybe like twice a day just so Minho can see you're okay, deal?"
Meow !
"Haha, if I'm over, I'll also make sure to say hi to you as well, don't worry Doongie," Jisung laughs softly but his figure wiggles backwards out of the blanket, Minho reacting slightly to late as the younger wiggles out too far and flops over on the ground with a small 'oof' before erupting into laughter, causing Minho to do the same.
"Shit! Sorry Jisung, you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah.. No worries hyung!"
Their laughter dies down as Minho bends over, grabbing at both of Jisung's hands to help him up but accidentally forgets to let go of his hands and Jisung gets back oo his feet, both of them now holding hands and just staring towards each other. Jisung smiles, amused while Minho panics, quickly dropping their hands as he realizes, wrapping his arms around himself.
"Ah! Right! So.. Is Doongie okay then?" Minho stutters as he switches the subject back to why Jisung is here.
"Oh.. Yeah, he'll be okay, this whole moving thing apparently reminded him of his last owners and as they moved, they left him at the shelter instead of taking him with them so it brought up some bad memories and he was kind of scared you might be doing the same.." Jisung explains with a sad sign, shaking his head as he turns towards the little lump under the blankets, wondering how someone could just give up a family member like that.
"What? That's horrible! I would never give up Soonie or Doongie like that," Minho explains, slightly furious for the previous owners to be so heartless.
"I know that hyung.. And Doongie also knows that, it's just giving him anxiety seeing the apartment like this so once everything is packed and settled, he'll feel better again and won't stop hiding," Jisung tells him but as he does so, Minho feels the instant need to start unpacking and setting everything up immediately to help his cat not feel so terrified.
"Oh.. Oh! I better get started on that then!" Minho jumps up, slightly panicked as he looks back and forth on what to start unpacking first but remembers he does need to see Jisung out. But he also wants Jisung to stay.. But his cat? "Do you..?" Minho trails off, confused on what he should ask or say.
"Well.. If you want Hyung, I can help you?" Jisung offers with a shy smile and hopeful expression that causes Minho to freeze.
"Really? You're.. You're not busy or anything at all?"
"Nope! Totally free day to help you unpack and snuggle some kitties!" Jisung smiles brightly as he heads back towards the living room, Minho following him like a love-struck puppy for a second before brightening up at the thought that Jisung wants to spend as much time with him as Minho wants to spend with him. This is great!
"Well- well that's awesome! I was.. I think I was gonna start on the kitchen next? If you want to join me?" Minho asks carefully, still slightly unsure but enthusiastic to spend more time with his crush.
"Totally, just let me know when you what specific things and we can tackle and finish this up in no time," Jisung declares, following Minho into his kitchen area, watching as Minho pulls out a single box from a stack of like 6 boxes, all for the kitchen. "How.. How about we play some music, cool?"
Minho nods, letting Jisung control the music selection as the younger pulls out his phone and opens a random (totally not carefully crafted) playlist for this situation and puts it at full volume, letting the members of Twice fill their ears and they tackle one box at a time, together.
At one point of another, Minho will constantly be glancing at Jisung as he sways his body to the music, letting the lyrics spill from his lips, his beautiful voice echoing along with the song, causing Minho to brightly smile and blush before looking away, not wanting to get caught. And right after, Jisung will glance over towards Minho with a knowing look and an equally matching blush as the duo continues on their task.

Ever since that day where Jisung helped Minho unpack most of the boxes in his new apartment and cuddled with his cats, the two have been messaging more and more about things other than Minho's babies. Of course, they're still the topic of like 40% of their conversations but now they talk about so much more things, getting to properly know each other!
Minho's heart is going to explode one of these days unless he finally gets a sign to ask Jisung out on a date. Jisung did mention he was single and bisexual so Minho knows he has a chance, unsure of how much of a chance considering on Jisung's feelings for him but there is still a chance!
One of their more recent conversations was about a new kitten at one of the shelters Jisung was volunteering at for the week. The kitten was so small, barely old enough to be without his mother but apparently quickly warmed up to the other cats.
How apparently when the kitten will finally be adopted, it'll break Jisung's heart from how close they bonded.
So, Minho being Minho and doing the sweet and sensible thing, totally not to just get another cat and have another reason for Jisung to come over more often, goes to the same shelter on a day he knows Jisung won't be there and inquires about the new kitten.
And on that day was apparently the day they put the kitten up for adoption though with high reluctance as the workers there did want Jisung to eventually adopt the kitten even if Jisung says he won't. But after Minho spills the truth of knowing Jisung and wanting to adopt the kitten partially for Jisung, the staff very enthusiastically allow him to adopt his new kitten.
This is how Minho finally got his third and possible last cat, Dori.
The staff did say that Dori was very friendly and affectionate with all the cats he played with at the shelter but when taking him home and trying to introduce him to Soonie and Doongie, Dori puffed up into a scared little ball and hid in the corners away from the older cats.
Soonie and Doongie didn't act aggressive or harsh to the new kitten, even a bit confused as they looked towards Minho for an explanation before going back to their tower to rest and sunbathe in hopes the new kitten will get used to them.
But after 3 days, things didn't change. Dori was still scared and hiding from them but did act sweet and nice to Minho so he was all confused. Minho also didn't tell Jisung about how he had adopted Dori yet so maybe this will be the perfect chance as he can help Dori get used to Soonie and Doongie, especially with someone Dori is extremely comfortable with.

Minho waited anxiously as he tried tidying up his apartment in waiting for Jisung to finally arrive. And in no time, basically 15 minutes, there is a soft pattern being knocked on his front door which Minho quickly heads over to let Jisung in. He removes his shoes before bouncing into the living room, looking all around.
"Where is this new kitty?"
"Wha- no hi for me?" Minho does a fake pout, slightly pretending to be hurt.
"Oh, sorry Min! Hi," Jisung spins to face him with a quick wave before turning back towards the room and crouching down, hoping to find Dori. "Now, where is the new kitty kitty?"
"Well.. Actually.." Minho tries to explain but a slight thump is heard from the direction of his bedroom before Dori is just skidding around the corner before running up and full on pouncing into Jisung's arms. Probably was hiding when he heard his favorite human's voice and just had to come see him.
"Dori!" Jisung shouts, surprised but excited as he holds the purring cat to his chest, snuggling his face deep into the kitten's fur. He carefully rises to his feet as Dori rubs his cheeks all against Jisung's squishy ones, making Minho slightly jealous he can't do the same as Jisung turns towards his hyung. "You adopted Dori?"
"I mean.. Yeah?" Minho chuckles awkwardly with a nod as Jisung stares at him with the most fondest look he's seen out of the younger's wide, doe eyes. "I knew how much you bonded with him and were very upset when you wouldn't see him after being adopted so instead, I did so you could still see him?"
Jisung freezes as he just stares at Minho with wide eyes and slightly parted lips in awe before jumping in place for a moment.
"I fucking love you Hyung!" Jisung rushes over, wrapping an arm around Minho's neck as he keeps Dori clutched carefully to his chest, pulling Minho into a tight hug.
And Minho?
Cheeks red.
Heart pounding.
Mind empty.
"I- I'm.. You're.. Welcome.." Minho barely pushes out as he barely wraps his arms around Jisung to reciprocate the hug before Jisung pulls back with a wide smile. Gripping onto Minho's shoulder before going back to cooing over the cat in his arms with Minho just to calm his raging heart.
Jisung casually makes his way over to the couch likes he has done a thousand times with Dori tucked into his arms, moving to sit right next to Doongie who was resting on the couches arm rest until Dori lets out a soft whine and shrinks tighter into Jisung's arms, hiding his face into the crook of the human's elbow.
"Dori?" Jisung questions, confused at the kitten's reaction and looks up towards Minho for a quick explanation.
Catching Jisung's eyes pull Minho out of his panicked daze as he moves to take a seat next to Jisung, pressing their thighs together as he leans over to pet across Dori's back.
"Right, um.. Dori seems to be scared of Soonie and Doongie but I can't figure out why or how to help.. Partially why I also wanted you to come over and see.. Maybe Dori would feel better if you were there to help them get along," Minho explains with a soft shrug as Jisung frowns in thought, petting over the kitten's back, sometimes accidentally brushing his hand across Minho's who tries to act totally unfazed although his cheeks would say differently.
"Dori.. You got along with the other cats at the shelter.. What's different?" Jisung questions softly to the kitten in his arms but Dori just lets out a sad little mewl, refusing to lift his head up. "Dori.. Please, talk to me," Jisung pleads.
Mew ..
Jisung frowns for a point, eyebrows furrowing before sighing and looking up towards Minho with a sheepish look. "Do you mind if we talk privately in your bedroom? Dori doesn't want the other cats to listen.."
"Oh, sure?" Minho pauses, slightly confused but supportive although it still seems slightly funny to him how the cat needs to have a private conversation with a human but Minho will try not to judge. "Do you want me to stay out as well?"
Jisung looks like he's about to answer but instead looks down at Dori and repeats the question to him.
.. Meow .
"Yeah, I hope you don't mind Hyung," Jisung bites his lip, unsure, feeling bad about being closer to one of his new cats than he is but knows Minho would understand as they have gotten used to each other in the shelter before Dori was adopted.
"Not at all Sung, we'll just be waiting out here while finishing up this Supernatural season," Minho smiles and heads over to the couch as Jisung ducks into the bedroom, letting the door close with a gentle click behind him as Minho takes a seat on the couch. Soonie and Doongie already heading over for Doongie to curl up on his lap and Soonie to curl up against the side of his thigh.
The human smiles gratefully for these two cats to be in his life as he starts the ending finale to season 5, wondering if his boys will finally defeat the Devil or not.
But only about 10 minutes into the show, Minho hears his bedroom door slowly creak open and pauses the TV, turning to see Jisung smiling softly towards the trio on the couch and making his way over, slowly bending until he is kneeling in front of them. Dori was still shyly hiding his face into Jisung's arm but with a little nudge towards the kitten, Dori slowly looks up towards the two older cats staring at him.
The three cats just stare at each other in silence before Soonie, always the impatient one, decides to finally speak up.

The cats seem to talk to each other for awhile, Minho and Jisung staring on with adoration as Dori seems to become more open in responding and even begins to slowly move closer to the cats until Dori is fully sitting on the couch in front of them, currently not in Jisung's arms anymore.
Minho almost wishes he could pull out his phone and record his babies if he wasn't worried they would stop once the camera was on them so he refrained and tried committing this moment to memory. He also denies almost crying as Dori slowly lays right down next to Soonie, letting the older cat groom him on the head as his large tail drapes almost fully over Dori's tiny kitten body.
Jisung even does a tiny, mini squeal at the two cats starting to bond together that apparently makes Doongie jealous so he goes to lay on Dori's other side and grooms the kitten's tail.
At that point, Minho softly starts hitting Jisung on the shoulder as if they were both looking at the same exact thing. His cats were bonding!
"Genius Jisung succeeded once again," Minho praises, bragging about his friend as Jisung just laughs, taking a seat next to Minho on the couch.
"Nah, I just listened and gave advice, I didn't do much," Jisung shrugs sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Shut up and accept my praise, dammit," Minho curses as he does a fake glare towards the younger who holds up both of his hands innocently.
"Alright alright, I did help a little," Jisung allows before shaking his head and reclining on the couch, getting comfy as he rests against Minho's side. "No.. What season are you on?"
Minho just shakes his head before resting back, basking in the warmth of the side of Jisung's body that's pressing against his as they continue to watch the finale. Even if Jisung has seen the whole show before, he'll still watch it with Minho.
What does that mean for their feelings now?

"Dori!" Minho groans loudly as he catches the kitten wiping his paws on Minho's now tarnished pillow as the kitten has finished using it as his litter box.
Dori dodges out of the way as Minho rushes over to put the pillow on the floor, not wanting to get any of it on the rest of his bed. He isn't sure why Dori keeps doing this as Minho is always keeping all their litter boxes clean but unless Dori just really hates this one specific pillow, Minho doesn't know why.
Dori acts innocent as he bounds up to Minho with a soft purr, rubbing against his hip, slightly pressing the phone he has into his front pocket into his leg. Every time Dori uses his pillow as a bathroom, he is also purring and rubbing against him.. And for what reason?
Is there something medically wrong? Should he get a new pillow entirely?
Or maybe Jisung can come over and figure out why Dori is set on trying to ruin his pillow.

Jisung arrives without needing to knock as he was finally given his own key to be let in, sliding off his slippers and heading into every room to find either Minho or Dori. He finds Minho first, stuffing the nasty pillow into the washer and washing it on the highest setting possible.
"Boo!" Jisung tries as he jumps into the room as Minho was looking away from him but instead, Minho just turns around with a raised eyebrow which Jisung shrugs at. "Worth a shot."
"Mhm, sure," Minho playfully rolls his eyes as he shoves Jisung on the shoulder before heading back into his bedroom with Jisung following closely behind.
"Soo, what's my little trouble maker doing now?" Jisung questions looking around only to spot Dori still sitting innocently on the bed as if he was waiting for Jisung to appear. And at the sight of him, Dori bounds over to him with a sweet purr, pushing his body into Jisung's leg. "Awe, sweet baby!"
Jisung instantly picks up the kitten who rubs his head under the human's jaw, loud purrs filling the room as Jisung gives him all his love and attention.
"Yeah.. Soo sweet, so sweet that he keeps peeing on my pillows!" Minho huffs angrily, crossing his arms with a pout.
Jisung just gasps dramatically as he holds Dori underneath his armpits and holds him away from his chest with a disapproving look.
"Dori! Why do you keep doing this? Minho's been keeping your little box clean and everything."
Meow !
Dori chirps happily with his tail softly swaying behind him while Minho catches Jisung freezing for a moment as if he didn't believe what Dori just said.
"I.. I mean.. Well, you still can't pee on stuff that isn't the litter box!" Jisung stutters for a moment, looking very flustered as Minho wishes he could understand what Dori said to make Jisung act like this because Minho hasn't seen Jisung blush and stutter at all.
Mew .
Dori mewls, looking upset as his little body just sags in Jisung's grip.
"It- it doesn't matter! Use the litter box!" Jisung huffs as he sets Dori back onto the bed with a groan and shakes his head at the cat's behavior. The duo have a quick staring contest before Dori does a little huff and jumps off the bed and heads to the living room, away from the humans.
Minho just stares for a moment, confused at what just happened before turning towards Jisung.
"So.. Why was Dori not using the litter box?"
But the question causes Jisung to freeze again, glancing around as if to find an answer before turning towards Minho with a tight, fake smile. "He doesn't like the litter you use?"
Except as Minho just stares at him blankly, knowing Jisung just made the up, Jisung fumbles for a bit as he heads out of the bedroom.
"Well, if that's all, I got to go!" Jisung practically shouts as he slips on his slippers but Minho quickly runs up and catches up to him, grabbing at the younger's arms and refusing to let go, forcing Jisung to face him.
"Sung! What did Dori say?" Minho demands to know but for a split second, he catches Jisung's eyes slowly glancing down at his lips before Jisung's cheeks turn red. And then, Minho wonders if the first thought he has on seeing this was connected to Dori's attitude.
It causes Minho to slightly loosen his grip in surprise and Jisung takes the opportunity to slip out of Minho's hold and out the door, shutting it with a quick, "see you Sunday!"
Most likely for movie night but Minho wants to see Jisung before then. Wants to know what Dori said and if his initial thought was correct.
But how to do that?

Minho didn't even get an answer to what Dori had said and why Jisung left so quickly afterwards. Any time he tried to get the answer from Jisung, the younger pulled the 'it's private and I don't wanna betray Dori's trust' card. Minho did also try asking Dori but the cat just looked at him before hoping away to bother one of his older brothers.
So no, Minho never got an answer. But he does think it had to do with Jisung looking down at his lips, unless that was heart trying to convince him it was. He is still on the fence on wanting to confess to the younger about his feelings.
How they have been getting so much closer recently and how an amazing person Jisung is all around, how they fit together so well.. He wants to so badly but is still slightly unsure over Jisung's feelings except the situation at the door did give him slight hope that Jisung did somewhat share the same feelings, he still wasn't sure.
He just hasn't gotten a sign yet.. Until today.
Curled up on his couch with a bowl of strawberries, watch a sad romantic drama play out that Jisung mentioned once. Jisung didn't even recommend for Minho to watch it, Minho's only watching it so he can share the experience of having seen it with Jisung!
That's how low Minho has sunk for Jisung.
And apparently, his cats have had enough over his sulking and pining for the younger.
Doongie jumps up onto Minho's laying form, taking a seat on his stomach as the cat just stares down at the human, hoping this would do something while Dori tries a different approach and pounces onto Minho's phone that was laying on the carpet, pushing and kicking at the device with his paws until it turned on.
Minho allows the kitten to do this, curious on what was happening until Dori opens the phone app, something that doesn't need to be unlocked to do and presses on Jisung's contact, the one at the very top of the list from how often he and Minho talk.
Catching his phone ringing for Jisung, Minho practically scrambles for his phone, accidentally yeeting Doongie off his stomach as he lands on the floor, snatching his phone from the kitten's paws and quickly hanging up before Jisung could answer. He sends a quick glare to the innocent looking cat.
Then finally, it gets very weird as Soonie comes over and starts to softly bite at Minho's ankles. Minho does a shooing motion with his foot but Soonie is undeterred and continues on until Minho rises to his feet, perplexed at his cat's very odd behavior. He thought Soonie would stop as he stands up but Soonie keeps nipping at Minho's feet causing the human to practically jump and dance to avoid his cats sharp teeth.
Somehow, Doongie understands Soonie's plan and starts mewling for Minho like he usually does when he wants food and tries to guide him to the kitchen. Only this time, Doongie is trying to guide Minho to the front door as Soonie keeps nipping at his feet, not letting him take a step in any other direction than the front door.
His cats are trying to kick him out?
Very concerned and baffled, Minho allows this to happen as he slips on his shoes, catching sight of the cats now sitting in a row, blocking him from the living room, before exiting his apartment.
His cats just kicked him out of his own house. And for what?
Minho was easily able to put it together but almost didn't want to. With the romantic drama playing and Dori trying to call Jisung and all of a sudden, the cats banished him from the apartment.. They want him to go to Jisung.
When did his cats get so smart to plan this out?
Minho did ask for a sign to confess.. Was this the sign?
Either way, he's almost positive his cats won't let him back into the house without Jisung and considering how quickly they herded him out the door, he's almost 100% sure he left his keys inside. So now he has to go to Jisung's anyways. With a defeated sigh, Minho pulls out his phone, the only thing he managed to take as he was shoved out.
Only to see a message from Jisung, probably wondering why he called him.

Minho is wondering how he missed it, since Jisung is obviously texting him like this, it means he likes him.. Right? Currently, as Minho begins the somewhat long journey to the Record Shop, he tries to find everything in how Jisung acts towards and with him that might indicate him having romantic feelings for Minho in hopes of boosting his courage to confess.
And it somewhat works that as Minho passes by a florist, he pauses, and with enough confidence, buys a bouquet of mixed flowers. If he's already putting everything on the line, then he might as well go all out.
But as he stands in front of the Store's door, he can almost feel all his confidence strip away, leaving him shaking and unsure. But he's committed, for him & for his cats. Plus he's already bought the flowers and needs to see Jisung to let him back into his apartment.
He has to do this.
As he steps into the store, he catches Changbin still at the counter where he always is, scribbling lyrics into his notebook with the backdoor shut, most likely having Jisung waiting in there for him.
Minho tries taking in a deep breath to calm his nerves but his feet refuse to move as he stares at the door where the love of his life is currently waiting behind. He needs to confess, he wants to confess, but the way his heart pounds and he can hear the loud beating in his ears, he knows it's terrifying.
From the lack of movement, Changbin looks up towards the customer only to see Minho, the guy Jisung is often with and constantly gushing over. And with the flowers in his hands, Changbin could quickly guess correctly as to why the older was here.
"Finally!" Changbin practically shouts, ecstatic to not have to hear his friends constant rants about Minho's godlike facial features. He jumps up and heads around the counter to stand behind Minho, giving the older a helpful nudge towards the backdoor going with to make sure Minho isn't going to stop and just dart out the door.
Except he does stop right in front of the door, hands tightly clenching onto the bouquet but remembers to unclench them to not damage the flowers, only to clench on them again as he remembers why he's so nervous and shaky. But as Minho refuses to move, to either knock or just go in, Changbin moves to knock for him, catching Minho's horrified gaze before Changbin runs back to the counter, giving him a quick thumbs up.
And in no time at all, the door opens.
Except now, Minho is faced with Jisung. A star-struck, open mouthed Jisung as he catches Minho's very nervous and sweaty demeanor whilst holding a bouquet full of mixed flowers.
They're just frozen, staring at each other. Jisung, waiting for Minho to speak as a wide smile comes upon his face as he's been waiting for this day while Minho tries to gather the courage to get his tongue to work properly, face growing redder and redder with embarrassment.
Until Minho finally remembers how his tongue works.
"Go on a date with me!" He almost shouts, practically bowing as he holds out the bouquet, clenching his eyes as his face faces the floor to avoid Jisung's eye contact.
But as Jisung lets out a loud giggle, partially covered by one of his hands as the other slowly moves to carefully take the bouquet from Minho's, the older slightly looks up with a very bashful look.
With a slight smirk, Jisung takes a big whiff of the flowers, practically sticking his whole face into them before looking at Minho at the corner of his eye. "Is that a question or a demand?"
"Uh.. Question? Or a demand- depending on how you feel!" Minho stutters his way through as he fully rises, eyes wide at the sudden question but Jisung just starts laughing, endeared by Minho's panicked confession.
Shifting to hold the bouquet in the corner of his arms, Jisung steps forward to grab both of Minho's hands in his with a giant, gummy smile. Minho staring in awe.
"I'd love to go on a date with you, Hyung," Jisung confesses.
"R-really?" Minho stutters out, a large smile appearing as he feels the need to start bouncing and find a bed to jump on and kick his feet in the air in excitement. "That's.. That's great! Amazing! Super fucking awesome!" Minho starts actually bouncing in joy as Jisung laughs for a second before following. The duo bouncing together with silly smiles, staring at each other in absolute joy.
Eventually, they get tired and with a soft laugh, Jisung pulls Minho into the backroom to rest. They sit on the couch with Jisung throwing his legs over Minho's lap, the older softly running his hands across the younger's knees and shins. Jisung sniffles the flowers every so often with a grateful smile, nuzzling into Minho's shoulder afterwards every time.
"I was waiting for you to confess.. Y'know," Jisung speaks up, teasingly.
"You could've confessed to me yourself," Minho snarks with a huff but his smile refuses to fall.
"You were the shy one, I didn't want to accidentally push you too far," Jisung explains with a shrug.
"Yeah, well.. My cats are the ones that forced me too," Minho grumbles at the memory of his cats kicking him out. Even though they helped him, he's still salty towards them about it.
"Ha!.. How did they do that?"
"They kinda herded me out of the door and locked me out?"
"Pfft.. No but seriously Min?"
"..Seriously, I'm gonna need to borrow the spare key I gave you."

Jisung tries not to be too loving with Minho in front of the cats, as he can actually hear the cats judge them but Minho doesn't care at all.
Especially now after they went out to a club with their friends and Jisung decided to wear a skirt.
Minho couldn't keep his hands off Jisung at all, always finding his waist and thighs to grip and squeeze at. Eventually, the tension became too much and the rest of their friends practically forced them to go home though, no arguments came from the couple.
But as Minho forces against Jisung their front door, barely locking it as they press their lips together, they forget they don't live alone, technically.
"Fuck- Min," Jisung whines as Minho nips on the younger's lips, tapping at the younger's thighs, giving Jisung the order to jump up and wrap his legs around Minho's waist which does indeed happen. Minho's hands permanently attach to Jisung's smooth thighs.
Jisung wraps his arms around Minho's neck, trying to pull him as close as possible as their tongues slide against each other. Swapping spit as Jisung sucks around Minho's tongue for a moment, the older letting out a pleasurable groan.
Until it's all interrupted.
Hiss !!
The sound is very loud, very close, and comes from two cats. But from the words Jisung could actually hear causes him to jump and practically shove Minho away, forgetting about the position they were in.
Minho fumbles and lands backwards on his ass while Jisung falls back against the door, almost hitting his head with a yelp, also landing on his ass. The couple groan out in pain, wincing at their matching injuries. Minho glares at Jisung before turning his glare towards Soonie and Doongie, looking extremely unhappy towards their owners while Jisung is blushing up a storm as he stares at them apologetically.
"Seriously?" Minho huffs towards the cats, annoyed at being interrupted again.
Mew .
Soonie huffs with a swish of his tail, leaving the room with Doongie following closely behind, not before giving the couple a quick side-eye though.
Looking towards Jisung, the younger pouts before the duo helps each other up off the floor, and with an agreeable plan, they slowly try to act nonchalant as they head to the bedroom in hopes to continue their plans.
Only for it to be foiled with a sleeping Dori laying on one of the pillows.
With a pouty look towards Jisung who shakes his head, Minho sighs, and the two decide to wash off their makeup and change into pajamas, not wanting to disturb the baby. They'll just have to find some other time to pick up where they left off.
As Jisung and Minho slip into bed, Jisung wrapping all his limbs around Minho and Minho burying his face into Jisung's neck, the couple easily slip off into sleep as eventually, Soonie and Doongie make their way into the room.
Doongie laying right against Jisung's back and Soonie laying down by their feet.
And soft purrs fill the air as the family sleeps peacefully together.
