Work Text:

“Come with me”

Penelope didn’t argue. Simply let Hope guide her outside the school and into the woods. The sun was blocked by the clouds but she could still feel its reassuring heat on her skin. As they went past the Old Mill, the birds chirped louder and more frequently, many ruffling their feathers and flying away as they ventured deeper into the forest.

“Where are we going?” Penelope finally asked.

Hope stopped, turning around to face her.

“I uh- You’re always asking what it feels like to be a wolf and I never gave you a proper answer because I honestly can’t quite put it into words so I-” She started fidgeting with her rings and looked down at the ground. “I figured it’d be easier if I just uh- showed you…?”

Penelope squinted her eyes, her head turning sideways. What exactly was Hope proposing here? Show her? It’s not like Penelope could turn into a wolf. Even if she could, she wasn’t keen on breaking every bone in her body just to sate her curiosity.

Hope must’ve taken her lack of response as an agreement cuz she started undoing the buttons of her shirt, revealing a white laced bra.

“Woah woah, wait.” Hope stopped at once, looking at her concerningly, “What are you- what are we doing here? I don’t get it.”

Hope gave her a soft smile as she slid the shirt off her arms and folded it messily before meeting Penelope’s eyes.

“My mom and I used to do this thing when I was younger and got nervous or restless. She’d take me to the woods near our house, shift and run with me on her back for hours.”

“Oh.”

“There’s more to it, but I'd rather show you instead of just tell you.”

Penelope furrowed her eyebrows in confusion but gave Hope a vague nod all the same.

“Do you trust me?” Hope asked, taking Penelope’s hand and rubbing a thumb soothingly over her knuckles.

“Of course.” Penelope said immediately, “I just don’t get what you are trying to achieve here. Do you want me to ride you?”

“For now, yes.” Hope blushed at her choice of words but nodded nonetheless. “I think I figured out a way to finally answer your question and help you relax at the same time. Can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner to be honest. Mom and I did this all the time.”

“Okay.”

“Okay.” Hope unclasped her bra, slid it off, and handed it along with her shirt for Penelope to hold while she skimmed away her skirt and underwear and kicked off her boots.

Penelope took those pieces too and Hope took a few steps back. Her smooth skin looked even paler under the diffused rays of sunlight. Goosebumps rose on perky breasts as her pink nipples hardened into taunt peaks and Penelope couldn’t help but let her eyes wander freely over Hope’s ethereal naked beauty.

No matter how often she saw her like this, she knew that was a sight she would never get bored of. Hope’s petite body was nothing but perfection in Penelope’s eyes. From the long orange locks cascading over her shoulders and almost reaching her ass to the blue of her eyes, the many light freckles adorning her face, protruding collarbones down to the round boobs she loved to have in her hands. Even the marks left by the underwear on her thin waist looked beautiful.

Hope straightened her back, arms clasped behind her, and light blush still on her face but she held her ground, letting Penelope’s admiring gaze roam over every inch of her like it was her God-given right to. Her body swayed loosely with the breeze, blue eyes fixed on Penelope and by the soft smile on her face, it seemed like she was in no rush.

Minutes passed in silence and Penelope was about to summon her camera when Hope, finally spoke:

“So, uh- Should I change now or you just wanna keep... looking?”

“Oh- Right, sorry, I-”

“No, it’s okay. You know I don’t mind.” Hope smiled sweetly, “I get lost when I look at you too.”

“You’re beautiful , you know that, right?”

Hope giggled.

“You’ve mentioned it once or twice.”

“I’m serious.”

“Thank you,” Hope said quietly, bouncing on her heels and waving her arms.

Penelope eyed her up and down one more time and then cleared her throat.

“You can change now if you want.”

“Okay.” Hope nodded again and then disappeared behind a tree. Five seconds later a majestic white wolf walked out from the other side. She circled Penelope’s legs, rubbing herself against the girl’s fishnet tights while fingers wound into her fur.

Hope lowered herself to the floor and Penelope swung one leg over her, arms tight around the wolf’s fluffy neck and clothes pressed between their bodies. Hope stood up and Penelope yelped, almost slipping off. She bucked her hips and bracketed her knees more firmly around her flank.

Hope moved slowly at first, just one step at a time to make sure Penelope wouldn’t fall.

Penelope leaned fully into the wolf, soft fur tickling her face.

“Alright, let’s go.”

Hope nodded her head and took off.

Penelope didn’t know how she didn’t fall. It felt like she was in a wind tunnel, the wind whipped through her hair, and she couldn't help but close her eyes, feeling the rush of air against her skin. As they tore through the woods, Penelope could feel Hope's power coursing through her body, could feel the strong muscles tense and release with each stride and for a moment, she imagined what it would be like to be a werewolf like her girlfriend. To have that kind of speed and strength at her disposal all the time. She knew it was impossible, of course, but the thought was exhilarating.

Equally as powerful was Hope’s heartbeat beneath her, its steady rhythm a comfort to her racing thoughts.

When she opened her eyes again the trees around them were a blur of greens and browns, but Penelope couldn't help but notice the beauty of the forest. She saw flashes of sunlight breaking through the dense canopy, and the sound of birds chirping and rustling leaves filled her ears. The wind carried the scent of pine and earth, and it felt like she was breathing in the essence of nature.

Hope darted through the trees with ease, effortlessly maneuvering through the thick foliage. It was clear that she knew the woods like the back of her hand. And despite the incredible speed, Penelope didn’t feel dizzy or scared. No. Her heart raced inside her chest and she felt warmth spreading through her veins.

Hope's strides were long and graceful, and Penelope felt her heart pounding with excitement and a newfound sense of freedom. She’d ridden horses before, but nothing could’ve prepared her for this. This was so much better. Maybe because this was her actual girlfriend, Penelope couldn’t quite explain

“I think I get it now.”

Hope barked, turning her head to look at her for just a split second but Penelope could’ve sworn she saw what a wolf’s equivalent of a smirk would look like on her face.

As they ran, Penelope saw flashes of movement out of the corner of her eye. Small animals scurried out of their way, and birds took flight, startled by their passing. But Hope never slowed down, never even wavered from her path. It was as if she knew exactly where they were going, and nothing could stop her from getting there.

And so, they ran.

They ran until Penelope’s throat got dry from laughing and screaming until her eyes began to sting from the wind whipping on her face but she didn’t mind. She could’ve kept going for much much longer, but Hope slowed down to a stop when they reached a clearing bathed in sunlight. A small river ran down a slope and Penelope would’ve run straight into it if she could’ve stood still without feeling like she’d fall face-first on the grassy floor.

In a second bones snapped and Hope was by her side.

“Woah, easy there.”  She said softly, helping steady her, wearing an adorable look of anticipation on her gorgeous face. “Are you okay?”

“That was-“ Penelope took a deep breath. “That was amazing !”

Hope’s smile could’ve blinded her.

“Yeah?” She asked, once again bouncing on her heels like an excited child. Except she was no child. No. Standing there, completely bare under the sunlight Penelope could’ve mistaken her for an angel. An adorable, lovely, sexy angel.

Or a siren, if the way Hope’s boobs bouncing ever so slightly in her childish excitement drew Penelope’s gaze like a magnet, was anything to go by.

“Yeah,” She swallowed the lump in her throat, snapping her gaze up to her girlfriend’s face, “Yeah, I think I'm good now.”

“You sure?” Hope let go of her but stayed close just in case. Penelope took a hesitant step forward and when the world didn’t spin, she nodded her head and they headed for the river.

Both knelt down by the edge, filling their hands with crystal clear water and bringing it to their lips. Penelope didn’t know how thirsty she was until she found herself lowering her head into the water to gulp more of it down.

When she resurfaced, hair wet and sticking to her face, she looked at Hope — watched a droplet of water slide down her chin to her throat, between the valley of her breasts, and down her toned stomach, and suddenly she was very thirsty again.

Hope’s giggles echoed in the air as Penelope leaned down for another go and she nearly choked from the smile that split through her face.

“You sure you don’t want to summon your camera? You look like you want to take some pictures.”

And yes, yes she did. But she didn’t.

“Maybe later.” She stood and stretched up while looking around; The clearing was bigger than she initially realized, tall oak trees enclosed them on all sides but a narrow pathway from where they came. There was a big mossy rock near the center being hit by an ever warmer spotlight and maybe she should get her camera and get Hope to pose on top of it for her but, “I believe you wanted to show me something?”

They went back to where Penelope had dropped Hope’s clothes but before she could reach them, Hope stopped her.

“Actually-” The tribrid blushed, “I’m gonna need you to take yours off too for this part if that’s okay.”

Penelope smirked, heat starting to set low in her belly as she reached for the buttons at the top of her blouse, looking swiftly around before starting to undo them.

“Was this just an elaborate scheme for you to finally bang me against a tree?”

Hope’s eyes widened and she playfully swatted Penelope’s arm.

“Not like that! Geez! Get your mind out of the gutter.”

It was Penelope’s time to laugh and God, how it felt good!

“Okay, okay, sorry.” She raised her hands in defeat, then opened all three buttons, pushed the blouse up her head, and let it fall straight into the leaf-covered dirt. Her dark nipples hardened at once as, just like Hope, goosebumps rose on her skin. The tiny rods made themselves more present, making the friction and pleasure more difficult to ignore whenever her nipples got hard like that. Having them pierced must’ve been one of Penelope’s better decisions but it was definitely biting her in the ass now.

Covering her breasts, she looked over her shoulders before reaching for her shorts.

Hope’s hand covered hers.

“Don’t worry, nobody ever comes here.” She assured her, “In fact, I don’t think anyone even knows this place to be honest.”

It’s not like she would mind someone seeing them, so why was she hesitating? She ignored that nagging thought and pushed her shorts, fishnets, and panties down.

The leaves crunched loudly under her bare feet. The dirt was warm and damp and the earthy scent was heavy in the air now that she stopped to notice. She spun in circles, looking up into the afternoon sky, and was surprised to find no thoughts bugging in the back of her mind.

“Have you ever tried meditation?” Hope asked quietly by her side, but it still startled Penelope. “Sorry.”

“No, it’s okay. I should be the one apologizing.” She took Hope’s hand. “That’s what- the third time I've zoned out on you?”

“Don’t worry about it.” Hope squeezed her hand reassuringly, “Are you with me now?”

“I am. And uh- No. I don’t think I've ever tried meditation before. Why? Is that what we are doing?”

Hope nodded.

“I’ve read about it before though and I don’t remember nudity being involved.”

“It’s not a standard procedure, I’ll give you that, but in my experience, it enhances the results. You’ll see.”

“Fair enough.” Penelope agreed and with a gleeful nod, Hope gave her a quick peck on the lips and moved behind her. Soft boobs pressed into her back and a quiet gasp fell from Penelope’s lips. She would never get over how unbelievably soft Hope’s skin was — it could literally make the finest silk in the world feel rough in comparison. Warm hands trailed along Penelope's arms, eliciting a delightful sensation, until their fingers interlaced, and a kiss graced Penelope's bare shoulder. “Although, If you keep this up I don’t think we’ll get anywhere close to what you have in mind…”

“Keep what? This?” Hope asked innocently, laying another kiss on the juncture between Penelope’s neck and shoulder. “I’m trying to relax you.”

“Uh… I’m afraid you're doing the opposite.”

“Do you want me to stop?”

“Don’t you dare.”

Hope giggled.

“Okay. Close your eyes for me, please. And take a deep breath in,” Penelope felt Hope’s chest expanding against her back, “Hold it… That’s it, now let it out through your mouth. Slowly. Yeah, that’s it, babe. Again.”

“Keep going,” Hope instructed in a whispered voice, hands moving again, fingertips running up from her waist, brushing the curve of her breasts and back down… Goosebumps followed her touches, spreading through her entire body. “Focus on your body, on the sensations, the sounds…”

Hope’s touch was light like a feather but as reassuring as a rock. The warmth of her body pressed against Penelope’s back, as nourishing and soothing as the sun. The smell of wet dirt acted like a natural sedative, helping relax her muscles. With each breath, she could feel herself getting more in tune with her body and her surroundings: the warmth of the sun on her bare skin; the sound of leaves rustling in the breeze and flowing water; the sweet aroma of flowers in the air; the grass blades caressing her legs and feet…

She leaned her head back onto Hope’s shoulder, grasped her hand, and pressed it against her heart.

“That’s it… Feel the way your lungs expand as it fills with air, focus on that fullness and then slowly release it… Feel the grass beneath your feet, let it ground you.”

Penelope nodded. She flexed her toes, digging into the warm and damp dirt, aware of its grainy texture, of the ticklish feeling of the grass on her soles, and suddenly it felt like she’d been anchored to the floor. She brought her focus back up, to the way fresh air made her chest expand and then contract, to the sound of the birds chirping up in the trees, to Hope’s hot breath hitting the skin of her neck…

“Good,” Hope kissed her neck, and goosebumps made themselves even more pronounced, now covering every inch of her body. “Feel the air brushing against your skin…”

It was just a gentle breeze but it felt like a light, thorough caress over her naked skin. She focused all of her attention on that sensation, letting it wash over her like a wave. Her mind cleared, and her thoughts slowed as she surrendered to the moment. A shaky breath left her open lips as she felt her muscles relax, one by one.

The world around her faded away, and she was left with nothing but the feeling of the breeze and the beating of her heart.

For a moment, she forgot about everything else. Her worries, her fears, her doubts, the stress her parents caused - they all melted away in the face of this simple pleasure. She was here, in this moment, and nothing else mattered. The breeze was like a soft, steady hand, guiding her toward a place of peace and calm.

“See?” Hope whispered hotly into her ear and pressed the palm of her warm hand over Penelope’s heart — who just now realized how it was beating in a slow and steady rhythm, “Being nude like this out in the open always made me feel… connected? Like I’m part of nature itself. When we bare ourselves like this and accept our own vulnerabilities we manage to let all of our troubling thoughts, and feelings just… flow away. Like a river.”

Penelope turned around, arms looped loosely around Hope’s waist and the girl’s over her shoulders, fingers intertwined behind the ravanette’s neck. Foreheads met in the middle, hot breath mingling between them, and then Penelope kissed her.

Their lips moved slowly, just a soft brush but it still dragged a throaty moan out of Hope that had a fire igniting low on Penelope’s belly. That sensation however she chose to ignore otherwise their meditation session would be cut way too early.

Hope was the one who deepened the kiss after a while, tongue pushing gently against Penelope’s lips. She parted them greedily, her own tongue meeting Hope’s in the middle and she sucked it into her mouth, resulting in a moan from both parties.

Parting for air, Penelope found herself lightheaded, her lips tingling, aching for Hope’s. She pressed their bodies impossibly closer, and kissed her girlfriend again, focusing her attention on all points their bodies touched, on the ever-present heat of Hope’s soft alabaster skin, on the delicious press of their boobs, hard nipples poking each other, on the little frictions caused by their subtle movements.

“Thank you,” Penelope said eventually, blissfully out of breath.

Hope smiled against her mouth.

“My pleasure.” With a quick peck, Hope stepped back, “Why don’t we sit down and go again?”

“Only if you keep touching me.”

“I can do that.” Hope nodded and urged Penelope to sit down near the big rock at the center of the clearing.

She sat with her legs crisscrossed, trying not to think about how weird and ticklish it was to be sitting butt naked on the grass in the middle of the woods. But as soon as she felt Hope’s body pressing against her back again, legs bracketing and crossing over her lap and arms tightly wrapped around her, any thoughts of discomfort disappeared from Penelope’s mind.

[...]

Hours could’ve passed and Penelope wouldn't have noticed.

There was a lightness in her mind that made her feel like she was floating in the highest of clouds and her chest was full and her body heavy, sturdy, and rooted onto the ground like a tree.

After God knows how long she opened her eyes, head leaning against Hope’s shoulder and leaving a kiss on the underside of her cheek.

“Hi,” Hope whispered, “how are you feeling?”

Penelope opened up a roguish smile.

“Like I have no bones left.”

Hope chuckled.

“That’s good, I guess.”

“More than good.” Penelope corrected, “I can’t remember the last time I felt so… calm? How’d you learn to do that?”

“Lizzie,” Hope explained, “Well- for the most part. Mom taught me the basics but Jo and I did some extra research when Lizzie got diagnosed.”

“Oh, that makes sense.”

“Yeah. She’s tried a lot of methods ever since but meditation is her favorite and the one that works best to calm her down so I figured it was worth a shot with you.”

“You’re a good sister,” Penelope whispered against Hope’s neck.

“Thank you.”

“And a good girlfriend,” She brushed her lips over her pulse point and kissed that ticklish spot behind her ear, and sure enough, Hope gave a light squirm, “Amazing girlfriend actually.”

“Then why are you attacking me?” Hope giggled, trying to shy away from Penelope’s lips but failing miserably before letting go of her and getting up.

“You know that’s how I show love,” Penelope whined, the absence of Hope’s body against her feeling like an abyss. She scrambled to her feet, wiggling fingers poking at Hope’s sides.

She jumped and Penelope froze, contemplating the way her boobs bounced, how the muscles of her stomach clenched revealing the faint — but very firm lines of her abs as she brushed her fingers along the side of her pale, firm breasts. How her strong arms flailed helplessly around, not even trying to free herself but urging Penelope on even more.

The sound of Hope’s laughter echoed through the woods around them and was the only thing Penelope wanted to hear, but then she grabbed Hope by the waist and pressed their bodies together — The breathy moan that came out of the tribrid’s parted lips… That, that was the sound Penelope wanted to hear for the rest of her life.

She tucked Hope’s orange hair behind her ear, hand resting there and thumb stroking her light freckled cheek while running her fingers up and down Hope’s side with the other. Closing her eyes she leaned in, but in a second Hope was no longer there. The sound of her giggles was getting slowly distant.

By the time Penelope reopened her eyes, Hope was crossing the shallow river and nearing the trees, a childish smile on her face,

“What-”

“If you want to keep this up you’ll have to catch me.” Hope challenged and Penelope smirked.

“Oh, you’re on ”

With one last giggle, Hope took off.

“Hey!” Penelope shouted after her, giving chase immediately, “No vamp speed you cheater! Come here!”

Their laughter filled the space, the shuffling of bushes and branches scaring the birds away from the treetops and Penelope never felt more alive.

The air filling her heaving lungs was the freshest Penelope’s ever breathed. It breezed by her bare skin like silk — soft and reassuring. The grass tickled her feet as she ran, dirt getting trapped between her toes. The woods dissolved into a mess of greens and browns once again. Branches scratched her arms and legs but she didn’t care, her eyes fixed on the prize.

Prize that wasn’t that far away anymore.

Hope’s hair flew gracefully behind her like a fiery veil — long and wavy, almost reaching her ass, that may or may not have been the focus of Penelope’s gaze for the last couple of minutes.

Sometimes her hair would bounce to the side for a quick second and Penelope squeezed her eyes to see the crescent moon shaped birthmark on Hope’s right shoulder blade.

Wait.

This felt oddly similar to how Hope described- Was this part of her plan all along?

Penelope ran faster, air rushing in and out of her lungs, legs starting to ache, face hot, goosebumps and scratches on her skin.

Her mind, however, never felt so… empty.

The only things on it were; her surroundings, the fresh air on her naked skin, the damp warm ground beneath her feet, and the need to catch Hope.

Nothing else mattered.

So simple.

So perfect.

So clever.

With a newfound tsunami of affection boosting one last sprint, Penelope tackled Hope to the ground. They landed on a soft mossy patch, their chests heaving — Penelope’s obviously more than Hope’s.

They were back at the clearing. She flipped Hope onto her back, sat on her thighs holding her down with a hand on her chest, feeling the fast and strong heartbeat under her palm, and looked down at her — Hope’s hair framed her head against the green of the grass like a halo. Her face was slightly flushed, a thin layer of sweat making her hair stick to her skin.

“Gotcha.” Throwing her own hair back she surged down, capturing Hope’s lips and pushing her tongue inside her mouth without even giving the girl a chance to fight for dominance. Penelope would’ve won either way. Right now she felt like a predator finally catching her prey, and so, just like a wolf would, she savored the win, thrilled by the hunt.

Hope whimpered with the ferocity of the kiss, back arching off and rolling her hips into Penelope while she wound her fingers into raven hair or dug into her shoulder.

She pulled back, hand still holding Hope down, eyes fixed on her now red, breathless face, and stretched her hand out. The next second she was closing her hand around her camera, fitting her eye over the viewfinder and zooming out her lens so she could frame Hope’s entire upper body before hitting the shutter button.

“I hope these don’t end up on your Instagram,” Hope panted.

Penelope smiled.

“As much as I’d love to share this moment with the world, I’ll keep these to myself.” She pulled the camera down and looked at the screen, eyes gleaming with tears, “It’s already one of my most precious memories.”

“Yeah?” Hope breathed, leaning on her elbows.

Penelope nodded and her tear landed on Hope’s belly.

“I- I don’t even know what to say, honestly.”

“Oh,” Hope smiled, “That’s a first.”

“I know right?” Penelope laughed. “No, but- Really I, uh- I can't even-”

“I love you,” Hope whispered but it resonated so deep in Penelope’s heart that she felt it almost vibrating.

Another tear fell.

“I love you,” Penelope repeated, leaning down for another kiss, soaking in the serenity of the moment and the feeling of Hope’s lips. “So so so so so much.”

Hope’s head fell back on the mossy pillow, her eyes gazing around.

“The sun’s starting to get low, wanna take more pictures?”

Penelope’s eyes sparkled, love and joy filling her chest.

“I’ll take that as a yes.” Hope chuckled and lifted herself along with Penelope off of the ground. “Okay my love, what should I do?”

Penelope took a step back and looked around. There were quite a few options but the one that caught her eye the most was that big mossy boulder at the center being hit by an almost golden ray of sunlight.

“Hop on that boulder for me?”

By the goofy smile on her face, Penelope knew what Hope was going to say.

“Oh, I like that boulder, that is a nice boulder.”

Penelope laughed regardless. So much her stomach hurt.

“What?” Hope joined in too, “Come on, you know I couldn’t miss that one!” And in the next second, she was on top of said boulder. “Okay okay, for realsies now. Do I just stand here or, how do you want me?”

“Uh…” Penelope moved around, got some distance, and then crouched behind a smaller rock so she could get a lower angle and a wide frame being backlit by the sun shining through the trees. “Okay, crouch down sideways to me. Left arm stretched over your knees, right hand under your chin, and look at me- yeah, that’s it. Hold that pose.”

Penelope brought her camera up and snapped several photos, trying slightly different angles.

“Okay, perfect! Now, lay down, kinda like in fetus position but a bit looser. Perfect,”

The camera clicked and clicked and before Penelope realized, they were shooting in the woods with Hope surrounded by pine trees, laid over a fallen trunk, climbing a small cliff looking down at the camera... Then they reached the far side of the lake and Penelope looked expectantly at Hope. She really wanted that shot but she wouldn’t force her into the cold water if she didn’t want to. She’s gotten enough outstanding pictures already

Catching her look, Hope stepped into the lake, giving a slight shiver but didn’t stop.

“Babe, It’s okay, you don’t have to-”

“Do you want this pic?”

“Yeah but-”

“Then I’m fine, don’t worry. Go ahead.”

“You’re sure? Aren’t you cold?”

“Yes, love. Anything you want.” Hope reassured her, “Besides, I can keep myself warm just fine.”

“Okay.”

Penelope brought her camera up, zoomed all the way out, capturing the circular ripples of the water around Hope in a picture she could only describe as; peaceful.

A perfect representation of this day.

Her heart was so full she thought it might explode.

She’d die happy if that were to be the case.

Today started bad but Hope was surely turning it into one of the best days she has ever had in her entire life.

There were no words she could use to express her gratitude so she clicked her camera, trying her absolute best to capture the beauty of that moment, Hope’s beauty the best she possibly could.

If words wouldn't express her feelings, art surely would.

And so they shot. They shot until they ran out of sunlight and had to go in search of their clothes in the dark. Hope shifted into her wolf again and went ahead, bringing the clothes back in her mouth before turning back and getting dressed.

Part of Penelope felt sad that they were getting dressed and for the day being near to its end but she knew they could have more like this one in the future so she ignored that sad inconvenience and brought Hope for one last kiss before they started heading back to the school, hand in hand.

“Thank you for this.” She brought her joined hands to her lips and kissed the back of Hope’s.

“I love you, Penelope.” Hope said, voice soft but decisive, “Always and Forever.”

If one could die from love overload, Penelope would be five feet under at that exact second.

The smile didn’t leave her face for the entire rest of the day.
