Pitaya Dragon Cookie was furious. How could she just- disappear? After everything, the sparring, the conversations… she’s gone? They looked at their surroundings, seeing lush trees. Such trees could only be found in the Hollyberry Kingdom climate.
No. No. Pitaya Dragon Cookie told themselves. Not like this.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie thought back. Decades. It had been decades - about a century - since she disappeared.
And they spent every single year trying to find her. They flew across oceans, valleys, deserts - They checked everywhere. They double-checked places. They triple-checked places.
What would the other dragons think? So desperate to find a cookie.
Words of what Lychee Dragon Cookie first said when they were told about Hollyberry Cookie. “She’s only a cookie!” They jested. “How special could she possibly be?” They laughed.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie grunted. What if Lychee Dragon Cookie was right. What if they wasted their time? All those years?
Pitaya Dragon Cookie felt their throat close up. Their vision started to blur. And their breath got shaky. “Wh-what!?” Pitaya Dragon Cookie gasped between breaths. Surely, someone must have been casting a spell on them. They frantically looked around, yet no one was there.
They could feel liquid running down their cheeks. Their finger traced the liquid to the source. It was coming from their eyes. They looked at their finger. Pitaya juice, of a lighter color than when their flesh gets punctured. The pitaya juice was light-pink.
The realization hit Pitaya Dragon Cookie. They were crying. Pitaya Dragon Cookie never cried - in fact - no dragon has ever cried before. Only cookies cried. They were ashamed of themselves.
“N-no…” Pitaya Dragon Cookie gasped. “Th-thisssss iss ssssssstupid!” They fell to their knees, as they started to violently cry. Heat started emanating around them. They screamed, as a fire blasted from them at all sides. All trees in a 5-mile-radius were scorched, and the ones in a 1-mile-radius were completely decimated - not even branches were left behind, only a pile of ashes.
They broke down into ugly sobs. “N-not like thisss…” They were humiliated.
15 minutes passed, them sobbing throughout the whole time. They heard a distant voice. “It came from there!” Footsteps rapidly approached them, but they were too weak to move and hide.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie saw a group of cookies rush over to them, but the cookies froze in place when they saw the source of the explosion. A crying dragon. Pitaya Dragon Cookie could see the fear in their eyes, as they started to back away. Yet… there was also… pity in them. Cookies pitying a dragon?
Pitaya Dragon Cookie felt insulted. No cookies should see them in their most vulnerable moment. In their flurry of emotions, they grabbed their sword, still crying, and swung it at them. A fiery wave emanated from it, hitting the cookies. The cookies were severely injured, jam flowing out of them. They stumbled away as quickly as possible.
Somehow, that made Pitaya Dragon Cookie feel so much worse. The sobbing grew so much louder, and they started to hyperventilate. They couldn’t take it anymore. They stabbed inbetween their armor’s plates, and the jolt of pain caused them to stop ugly-crying. They were now breathlessly sobbing. As the normal hot-pink colored pitaya juice seeped out of their leg, they started thinking.
She wasn’t gone. She couldn’t be gone. They wouldn’t ever give up on her. They sniffed. But… They sighed.
“If Hollyberry Cookie issss ssstill alive-” They corrected themself. “Ssssincccce Hollyberry Cookie isss sstill alive, I jusssst have to grab her attentttttion.” They wiped their tears one final time.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie had the most brilliant thought. They were going to take over the kingdom. They didn’t listen to the voice that told them Hollyberry Cookie would be furious when she comes back. They started laughing, thinking of the chaos and destruction they were going to cause.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie lost all sense of morality, and flew to the Hollyberry Kingdom, about to fulfill their dragonlike need for chaos.
Pitaya Dragon Cookie shakily flew into the forest. They got Hollyberry Cookie to return. Hollyberry Cookie scolded them. She had the AUDACITY to blame them for what had happened. They scoffed.
“‘Too far’? Bah! If that misssserable cookie had come back sssssssooner… None of thisss would have happened!” Pitaya Dragon Cookie complained, as if someone was listening. “Decadessss… and ssshe blamesss me?” Pitaya Dragon Cookie was furious.
After everything they’ve done to get her back, Hollyberry Cookie has blamed Pitaya Dragon Cookie. “Hollyberry Cookie…” They sighed. “How… how dare you…”
