I walk to school as normal as the last day, just 18 years old. Then a boy with glasses comes up “hi Orion- im glad you made it” I sigh “thank you Billy- still hard to believe it’s the end of school.” Billy smiles But he’s cut off when a guy bumps into him on purpose.“Watch where your going pip squeak! Going to the loser convention- hahahahah!” A skinner guy laughs “good one bulk! What a loser.” Billy groans “come one skull- not now.. it’s the last day seriously.”
He shoves the boy down, I growl “back off fatass! Isn’t there a burger you need to shove your face in?” He twitches “what you say shrimp” skull whistles “your dead now punk hahahah!” Bull goes for the punch but a dodge and push him into a locker hard, his buddy cracked his knuckles. I punch him square in the face, making him fall onto the big guy. Lending my hand to Billy i help him up, we head to class- not noticing my nose is bleeding.
We walk in and a girl hurried to Billy worried “I heard what happened- are you alright?!” He nods “Kimberly! Orion stood up for me- even took bulk and skull down no problem!” She looks at me then gasps grabbing a tissue “your nose is bleeding! Here let me help you.” Kimberly wipes the blood off and throws the tissue in the trash, then a boy speaks up.“saw you stand up to those assholes. Your cool Orion.” Then another boy speaks “Anyone who defends our friend is friendly in our books- nice Orion!” A girl greets me “Those two are total jerks.” I sit by them in an empty desk, class goes on as we clean up.
We are currently on a 7 minute break to collect our supplies to take home. Lunch comes and I sit by the others, the cafeteria food isn’t that bad- but not that good. Then tommys watch makes some noises the group get up quickly and go where they are completely alone. “Huh? Wonder what that was about.. guess it must be important between them. ” Then a big explosion gets me attention, I run to see the action- a monster causing mayhem.
Then a bunch of colourful people appear it’s the power rangers- soo cool. The monkey looking creep snarls “ok power fucks- I’m gonna destroy you and this pathetic city you call home. Yellow ranger yells “shut the hell up baboo- we’ll take your ass down before you even get an idea!” They go in fighting the monster as I watch on, they are so in since. Red kicks as black punches, pink and yellow hold him in place- blue helping civilians escape. Then the four get knocked back blue gets hit hard, the creature goes for the final blow. The others scream no- I jump out and take the blast, falling to the ground.
Pink screams shooting baboo away, they rush to us- the pain is unbearable.. I’m barely awake. Red yells blue- help him! We got this asshole- you’ll be ok o-SIR” they charge back in. Blue holds my limp body, my arm is singed the world gets blurry- last day of school and I’m going to die. The others destroy baboo, but the monkey thing grows massive- they call their zords. The each attack, my eyes glow a tint of silver… my wound sends a wave of energy through my body. Then i black out- not sure how long I’m out for or what’s happening.
My eyes drift open to a science looking base with lots of tech, my left arm is no longer there. I jolt up in a panic and feel metal, then a bump- feels like a stone of some sorts. A robot looks at me “you’re awake thank goodness- I’m alpha!” I scream falling off the counter “what is going on?! Where am I- who are you?! What is this thing and why is my freaking arm metal?!”
Then a face appears on the wall “I am zordon- this must be a real shock for you Orion. When you took that blast your arm was unsalable… it was amputated. That crystal is what saved your life- blue ranger put it on you.. bonding yourself and the crystal. Hence The prosthetic.” I just stand there dumbfounded- my mind is racing at a million miles, and did a floating face just talk to me?!
Alpha cheers “they destroyed baboo! Saving the city- good work rangers. Then 5 beams of colours teleport in, it’s the rangers and this must be their base of sorts. They all sigh of relief blue is first to speak “I’m so sorry Orion-you saved my life and I couldn’t let you die. I used the silver crystal… it was a rash decision.” Yellow holds her hand out “I’m so glad you’re ok.. we all are.. it’s a miracle.” I move the mechanism around, it’s perfectly sync of what I’m thinking- hells it’s feels so strange.
Black looks at zordon “he’s already in our base- could we take our helmets off? I trust him completely and might bring him less anxiety.” Red nods taking his helmet off, then the rest follow- I gasp “Tommy , Zack, trini, Kimberly.. Billy?! Your the rangers?” They look at me tommy sighs “yep- sorry we couldn’t tell you.. just need to keep it a secret from the public.” They explain everything to me, it made perfect sense… all the times they ran off just at random. “So Billy saved me by using the crystal and the prosthetic- this is so much too take in. It’s un-fucking-believable.”
Kimberly looks down “so are you pissed at us? I wish you didn’t get hurt like that.” Trini sighs “what you did was extremely dangerous for yourself- our suits give good protection.” I smile “of course not- I’m not here to make you guilty, what I did was stupid. It will be fun to explain this to my parents and everyone else.” Alpha pushes a button and the metal turns into my skin colour, its looks uncanny. “There it has a disguise so no one will know, it’s so advance it feels like a normal arm. I test it- it’s my arm the crystal is in a bracelet looking contraption, I rest for a bit till lunch is over. We go back to class, just going to hang out and do whatever that’s appropriate for school. I just can’t stop looking at my arm, moving it around in amazement- the crystal is a shiny grey.
