Chapter Text
Seonghwa blinked when he heard the words leave the mouth of his crush. He also stared at the boy as he then walked away, not saying a word. He should have known it wasn't going to end well, but he just hoped. He really did. He let out a sigh, not thinking his crush would ever be friends with him, so he just turned to walk away.
'I never liked you like that.'
Ouch. Just thinking about it had him pouting a bit. He sniffled, but tried not to cry. He then walked into a cafe to heal his broken heart. Sweets helped…right? He smiled at the person at the counter and then ordered his Strawberry Banana Parfait. He also got himself a cookie and went to wait for his name to be called.
Once his order was received he walked out to go home. His sips kinda made him feel a bit better, but he felt the tears forming and blinked so they wouldn't fall. He even dressed up really cutely to meet up. Thinking that the crush would reciprocate his feelings. He really thought it was mutual. Ah well…so goes the game of love.
He found himself at the park, luckily not many kids were around since it was the afternoon and the sun was setting. He went to sit on a bench and eat his cookie. The moment he bit into the cookie though, the tears were falling down his face.
'I didn't mean to lead you on. Plus…we're both guys. It wouldn't work '
How would you know if you didn't even try? Seonghwa chewed slowly then swallowed the cookie, sniffling and going to wipe at his eyes with a napkin. The tears kept falling and he began to let out a few sons now. He held them back just in case and then let it out. He bent over by the wait and put his face in his hands.
A few more sobs were let out when his phone rang. He blinked, reaching for it and seeing his friend's name. He huffed, trying to calm his sobs down as he answered the phone, his voice a bit shaky. "Hello? Wooyoung-ah?"
"Hyung, have you confessed yet?? I need to know the deets! You promised." Wooyoung said with excitement.
Seonghwa smiled bitterly as he shook his head. "Well..yes…but it was a no."
"...Hyung…you're okay? Come on over if you need to. Or better yet, I'll come to you. Don't worry hyung." Wooyoung said with understanding, rustling being heard from his end for getting ready to meet up.
"Please come. Thank you Woo…" Seonghwa sniffled as he picked up his trash then began walking to his home. He heard a hum of agreement from Wooyoung.
"See you in a bit okay? Bye."
Seonghwa hung up after saying bye while continuing his way home.
Wooyoung's company was very much needed. They talked about the guy at first and what he said to Seonghwa. Wooyoung wanted to go beat his ass. The hell he meant it wouldn't work?
"I swear he was flirting with you all this time?? He had no right to tell you that! What a chump." He said, harrumphing and crossing his arms over his chest.
Seonghwa smiled and patted Wooyoung's shoulder. "I know…but it's okay. I'll be alright."
"Knew that dude wasn't shit. Sorry hyung." Wooyoung apologized while clearing. His throat after Seonghwa gave him a slight warning stare. He then clapped his hands and held Seonghwa but the shoulders. "Hyung…why don't we go out?? It'll take your mind off that guy. We can go to a party and maybe meet some new people. How about it??"
Seonghwa blinked at him and looked at the time. "Tonight?? Oh…but it May be too late…what about Friday?"
"Yeah not today, let's do that! I'll even pack a bag and come stayover if you want, unless we snag ourselves some cuties?" Wooyoung said excitedly, he giggled as Seonghwa pushed him playfully and shook his head. He nodded to Wooyoung then fiddled with his hair.
"We'll see. Then see you Friday."
Friday rolled around and Wooyoung came in a T-Shirt and sweatpants, however he had an outfit on a hanger and a duffle bag for staying over as promised. Seonghwa smiled at him and let him in.
They agreed to get ready together and then head to one of their favorite bars. Seonghwa was getting a bit more excited as they both prepared and the time drew nearer.
Wooyoung came out of the bathroom with his face and hair done up. His black and blonde hair being styled in his usual up do with the blonde part being down. His makeup matched the outfit he was beginning to get out of the cover he had over it. He pulled out a black and red plaid shirt with black jeans that had a few ripped holes. He began changing and I to those and pulled his shoes out his duffle bag, a pair of black short boots with the heel being two inches at least. His makeup matched with subtle red eyeshadow blended in with black for a smokey eye effect and red tinted lips.
Seonghwa was always impressed with his skill. He clapped after Wooyoung was basically done. Wooyoung smirked and waved him over. "Come on. Your turn! I'm feeling ..twinsies tonight?" Wooyoung said grinning and nodding over to the closet.
"I don't think I have plaid, but I'll check…" Seonghwa said as Wooyoung went to get his headband.
Once on, Wooyoung did the same on him, but a bit cuter. Red with some yellow highlights for the eye shadow and a bit of blush. His lip tint is also being red and some eye liner to define his eyes more. He styled Seonghwa's blond hair with a split, leaving it bouncy and light with the side part. Once done with that, Wooyoung ran over to the closet and picked out an outfit.
He pulled out a black turtleneck and a red button up silk shirt, the sleeves being poopy with ruffled hems. For the bottoms he selected a pair of black leather pants as well, no rips however, and found a pair of heeled boots for Seonghwa as well, his being red.
Once assembled, he looked over to Seonghwa and grinned. "You're gonna slay sweety! Hurry up and let's get it!" Wooyoung said as he went to find a good perfume for them to use.
Seonghwa changed and felt a bit more confidence bloom. He then gathered his wallet and phone, placing them in a small bag to hold both of their things in. Once Wooyoung came back, he gave a whistle and nodded.
"Hell yeah Hyung! You look hot as hell. If none even tried to pick you up tonight, they are stupid."
"Thanks Woo…you as well though. You look amazing." Seonghwa smiled , fiddling with his hair a bit and then going over to put in earrings. He walked back over after Wooyoung put on cherry perfume. Strawberry for Seonghwa though as he sprayed some. After that they made sure they had everything, Seonghwa showing he put Wooyoung's things in his bag, and then they went to grab a taxi. This was gonna be a night they would remember for sure!
The club, Mars and Stars, had a decent line leading in. Both the boys found themselves pretty fast, paying for entry and then went through the doors, hearing the bass booming and seeing colored lights bounce around.
The crowd was dancing and people were cheering. Excited when some people in a dance circle busted a move, or when the next song blended perfectly into the next song. Wooyoung made sure they were holding hands as they maneuvered their way to the bar. Seonghwa forgot how busy it could be since it's been a while for him. He kind of missed this and looked around the crowd. Some people grinding on each other to the music and some at the bar chatting with each other up. He had to look away from a couple kissing against a wall by focusing on Wooyoung, who was ordering drinks for both of them.
"I'm gonna have two shots for both of us and then A strawberry and Green apple Margarita please." Wooyoung asked the bartender sweetly. The guy smirked and nodded, getting the shots first then going to make the Margaritas. He turned to Seonghwa and raised his glass in a cheer.
"May we both find happiness and someone to love us!" Wooyoung said, grinning.
"Yes! We both deserve it!" Seonghwa said, grinning as well and clinking his glass with Wooyoung's. They then both took the shots quickly and giggled when they set the glasses down. The alcohol felt good and released some of the tension Seonghwa had in himself. The Margarita's came with salt around the Apple one and Sugar around the strawberry one. Little umbrellas also I. Them both, making Seonghwa take a picture of them actually. Wooyoung and I'mhimself thanked the bartender and the nodded back at them,
Seonghwa knew he had to be careful with his intake, but knew he might go over. Wooyoung then turned to Seonghwa and they both toasted with the drinks.
Wooyoung turned in his chair, crossing one leg over the other and looking out to the crowd and scanning for a potential partner. Seonghwa also sat the same way, but he just held his drink and sipped on it, staring at his drink and then looking at Wooyoung.
"Woo, thank you again for suggesting this." Seonghwa said as loud as he could. Wooyoung waved him off and pulled him into a hug.
"It's fiine! I love you too much to see you sad." He said, smiling a bit and placing a smooch on his cheek. Seonghwa smiled and patted his back, taking another sip of his margarita after licking a bit of the sugar off. The two flavors made him smile a bit and wished he had more sugar.
Moments passed and Wooyoung got up, pulling Seonghwa up as well. "Come on! Let's go dance!"
They both made their way to the dance floor, Wooyoung letting go of Seonghwa’s hand and then beginning to sway to the music for a warm up. He then pulled Seonghwa a little closer to him, causing him to sway with him. Seonghwa grinned and then began to follow, adding his own little movement and flares. They continued to rock with each other, sway, and just enjoy the music. Seonghwa could swear he felt someone try to grind up on him, but Wooyoung would ward them off by pulling him closer or glaring at the person who was committing the crime. Seonghwa felt comfortable with that and always thanked Wooyoung, who would just give a wink and continue dancing.
As they were reaching a time for recupiration, they went back over to the bar or just Seonghwa went back to the bar to sit. Wooyoung noticed a guy that was staring him down. Not just any stare, a stare full of interest, a stare borderlining adoration, even a hint of lust was showing through and Wooyoung was loving the attention. He bit his lip while looking at the man and began to dance his way over to him. The man’s eye brow hiked up a bit and gave a smirk of his own. He stood up from the couch he was sitting on and made his way over to Wooyoung. His sleeveless shirt showing off his arms well. His medium washed blue jeans were around his waist well as his hips swayed while moving towards him. Once they were face to face, the other man leaned over to Wooyoung’s ear and whispered something, which had Wooyoung shiver a bit and place his arms over his shoulders, smirking while looking at the man's eyes when he pulled away to make eye contact as they swayed together.
Seonghwa witnessed the whole scene and it made him look away quickly, a light blush dusting his cheeks. He glanced one more time towards Wooyoung, who was also looking at him, and he gave a thumbs up. Wooyoung grinned and returned it and then let out an inaudible gasp as the guy held his butt as they swayed, pulling them closer and Wooyoung practically melted into the touch. Seonghwa grinned and looked away, he was happy for his friend, now he needed to accomplish his mission. He looked at the bartender and asked for a sprite. He had to watch how much he actually consumed since he was kind of a light weight. The bartender even put a bit of cherry juice to make it sweeter, since he saw how much Seonghwa liked sweet drinks. Seonghwa thanked him and sipped on his drink.
As he finished his drink and swayed to the music in his seat, Wooyoung came barreling next to him, with the mystery man with him. He heard him giggle and then felt one of Wooyoung’s arms be placed over his shoulders as he turned him to look at the man.
“This is my bestie Seonghwa! We’re here...to help him get over an old crush! Ahah. Seonghwa, this is San!” Wooyoung said, grinning at him while rubbing Seonghwa’s shoulder.
San smiled kindly and held out his hand to shake with Seonghwa. “Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you as well. It seemed like you both were having fun out there.” Seonghwa smiled while patting Wooyoung’s hand. Wooyoung giggled and dropped his arm, clinging to one of San’s arms as he nodded to Seonghwa.
“Oh we sure were! And you know what? Apparently San didn’t come alone either! He has a friend here too~!” Wooyoung said excitedly. San’s hand was placed on his hip and Seonghwa stared at them both, blushing a bit and looking around.
“Oh…well that’s nice. I hope they’re having fun.”
“Kind of…He’s just chilling over there. Hold on.” San said as he looked up at a guy sitting on the sofa he was sitting on from earlier. He waved his hand to a guy who happened to be his friend, and Seonghwa’s breath caught in his throat. He was looking at a guy with blue hair, wearing a black beanie, circle glasses, and a solid black jumpsuit. His top part was down, so it showed his tank underneath. His shoes were black and white laced boots. He stared back at San then the other two, stopping when his eyes were on Seonghwa.
His body quivered a bit when he saw the guy stand up and walk towards them, you could even call it a slight strut. Seonghwa felt all types of nervousness as he approached while trying not to stare at him.
The guy stopped in front of them and smirked, greeting Wooyoung first then turned to Seonghwa and held out his hand. "Nice to meet you, my name's Hongjoong. What's yours?"
"Seonghwa. My name is Seonghwa." He said, clearing his throat while shaking his hand with a firm grip to match Hongjoong's. A blush creeped up on his cheeks when he felt the slight caress of Hongjoong's fingers as they slipped away.
Hongjoong then leaned in towards his ear to whisper "Would you like to dance?" A nod was all it took for Hongjoong to walk towards the dance floor with Seonghwa's hand in his. Wooyoung's supportive hooting and hollering was heard by Seonghwa, who just smiled and gave a thumbs up to him in return.
