"You wanted hair everywhere, didn't you? Now you got it!" Mushu exclaimed.
"Not like this!! This won't help my disguise!" Mulan pulled at the fur on her arms and face and felt her tail move. So weird.
"I mean...you don't look like a lady any more?" Mushu tried before hiding when footsteps crunched around a corner.
"Ping? Are you alright?" It was Shang. Mulan scrambled to hide or shift back or or something!
It didn't work, Shang saw her.
"Oh," he said and then, "I'm glad you're okay."
"What?" Mulan croaked out. Glad it came out almost a growl rather than a squeak.
"I'll get you training with the other wolfmen, they can teach you how to control it." Shang grabbed her around the shoulders and was dragging her back to the camp. "I was worried when you were injured but it was a wolf bite right?"
"Uh. Yeah." Mulan said, trying to get the growl back into her voice.
"At least you didn't shift in the middle of camp and end up naked in the middle of the grounds when your commander walked by the next morning. Not that that happened to anyone I know. Definitely not." Shang said as they walked.
Mulan felt the blood drain from her face and was grateful for the hair hiding it. That would have been devastating. But it didn't happen. She was fine.
Wait.
"Are you one!?" She asked
Shang looked at her out of the corner of his eye and said "of course not".
Now Mulan had a very different picture in her mind. Shang. With the fluffy ears and tail Mulan was dealing with right now. Maybe little fangs. Naked. In the middle of the training yard.
She swallowed.
Her heart was all...fluttery for some reason. Probably reacting to the change.
