Gossip travels quickly amongst bored soldiers. Roche heard the rumors about General Reynard Odo and that upstart Rivian duke - Brossard, if he remembers correctly - that they bickered endlessly, even came to blows, but evidently set their differences aside long enough to fuck each other.
Apparently the general has a type.
