Chapter Text
(the boy here is Mizu, i'll be referring to mizu as a boy for this chapter since no one yet knows Mizus pretending to be a guy yet)
The rain fell hard, creating puddles all around in the small ditches on the ground. The faint sound of small footsteps splashing in the puddles could be heard from all around the quiet night.
“Get him!” A voice echoed in the night as a group of men carrying lanterns, ran after the frail young boy.
He ran as fast as he could, cutting into corners trying to escape the men. Though he was fast, he didn’t have enough stamina to outrun them. As he came to a stop, he pushed forward with all he had. The boy was breathing heavily, clutching onto his side as he ran up the hill, looking back to see the light of lanterns nearing. Reaching the top of the hill, he had nowhere to go. The men were now near all creating a wall so he wasn't able to get by. His breathing increased with his heart rate, seeing as there was no escape to this. He tried to make a run for it by jumping off the hill into the freezing winter waters below as it was his only way out. As he ran to the ledge, a firm grip held him by the waist, pulling him back; he was thrown onto the floor as his vision began to blur.
The boy awoke a couple hours later, his head was pounding and his ears were ringing. He sat up only for his head to be hit against something hard. It took him a while before noticing where he was. There were metal bars keeping him locked in the small space, with a door that was locked. He was inside a cage.
The room was filled with other people all wearing all different kinds of masks covering their faces, and had a dark cloak running down their backs. Everyone was seated in a circle with rows going up. He noticed that in the middle of the room there was a small table left empty.
A booming voice took his attention off the table.
“Let us begin the nobel mass this evening!” The man said, he too, had on a mask with a cloak going down to his feet. He stood in the middle, turning around to face everyone as they rose to a loud applause.
“For tonight's star, is this boy right here!” His hand pointed right at the boy, he froze as everyone's gaze shifted onto him. A woman who was standing next to the cage took out a rusty key from her coat and unlocked the door, as the man grabbed him by the arm as he dragged him out the cage.
“Whom we offer to our king,” he took the boy and shoved him forward in the middle of the room “is this one!”
The boy looked around to be faced with men coming his way, he was put onto the table, they held him down as the man made his way over chanting some words. The boy used his every strength to try to pull away from their firm grip. He was yelling to let him go as he came closer.
“Come forth!” he pulled out a sharp blade from his back holding it high in the air “lord of chaos!” the young boy, who was now yelling for them to stop, had taken notice of the blade causing him to go silent as only tears escaped his eyes.
‘No one is coming to save me’ the boy thought as everything began to move in slow motion, as if the word had stopped, time had stopped ticking. ‘There is no god! his last thought rang in his head, seeming as if he had just yelled that out for everyone to hear.
Before the blade could make contact with the boy, the ground began to shake violently, the small torches they had set up around the room were shaking to the point where they fell over. The man dropped the blade, holding onto the table as everything shook. The people in the crowd ducked down to avoid anything falling from the ceiling. The shaking stopped, there was a second where everything was complete silence, before a dark cloud came from the ground.
There was smoke everywhere, the dark cloud that had emitted from the ground had traveled up. It had now formed into a dark liquid that moved around, going into the form of a tornado. Screams had erupted from the crowd, as the liquid splashed onto them and caused their skin to burn.
“Answer me,” a voice came from inside the liquid, a female voice. Red eyes bubbled to the sides of the liquid all around, many clusters of them in one spot as they searched around the room. “Who has summoned me?”
The screams hadn’t stopped, as people were trying to run out of the place. The man from before, was now on his knees, looking up to the strange entity.
“It-It was me” his voice trembled
“No, you're not the one” the man was picked up and thrown high into the air before his body splattered right onto the floor.
The entity had quickly become irritated as they began to throw everyone around trying to find who had summoned them. With all the commotion, the boy jumped off from the table and began to run away. With the many eyes the entity had, it was quick to spot the boy running. A hand had formed out of the liquid, quickling pulling the boy back and setting him down on the table.
“You're the one” everyone who was left was quickly killed in an instant by the entity as the boy was the only one left alive. He was frozen, he couldn't move or speak from fear that was eating him. The eyes on the entity had changed to resemble a dragon like, then quickly changing to having the eyes like a fly.
“It was you, no? The one who had called me” A pair of dark boots formed from the floor as the faint sound of the heels clicking on the floor echoed in the empty room
“I didn’t” he stopped “I didn’t summon you” his voice was just below a whisper
“No,” they said, stepping closer, it was odd to just see a pair of boots walking towards them as the rest of their body was covered by the strange liquid. “I'm quite sure it was you. You denied the existence of god and cursed the world, in return, you have been granted a wish”
“What sacrifice..?” he asked as he was the one to be sacrificed. The entity stayed silent, as the boy took a look around to notice that everyone who was killed had been the sacrifice.
“No, I didn't ask for this!” he yelled
“If you wish for me to disappear that can be arranged,” the entity spoke up “If you wish to summon me at a later date, that is also an option”
The boy looked up to be faced with the many eyes again, he knew that he was granted one wish but he didn't know exactly what he was going to wish for. He had in mind something but only being so young, his wish could change at any given time.
“Ill wait for a later date” he said locking his gaze with one of the many eyes
“And when do you wish for me to be summoned again?”
The boy thought about it for a while before setting a date to 16 years later on this exact date. The entity quickly disappeared, leaving the boy alone in the room surrounded with the dead corpses.
Those 16 years had quickly passed by, the boy was now grown and had forgotten about the deal he made with the entity all these years ago.
He had set out to seek his revenge against the four white men who had ruined his life from the day he was born. All that was on his mind was getting his revenge and he had no plans to stop anytime soon. However it was all stopped, he was in the middle of a forest when suddenly the familiar smokey clouds emitted from the ground up.
In an instant he was reminded of the deal he had, the dark cloud formed into the same liquid and stopped him in his path.
“I hope you remembered this date” the same voice was emitted from inside the liquid
“I remember” his voice was firm, not like how it was the first time they met
The entities hand reached out the liquid as they spoke again.
“Now let us continue from last time. Let us engrave the contact on each of our bodies, the more visible the location, the more power you have to control. Where do you wish for the contact to be placed”
“I don't care where” he spoke looking right into its many eyes as they all glared back
“Alright then” their hand reached for his face as it made contact with his right eye. A beam of light struck off of their hand and onto his eye, a seal formed on their hand as sparks of electricity spurred out everywhere all around them. They removed their hand off his eye to reveal the same seal in his eye, he groaned out in pain as he covered his eye.
“I must ask master, what is your name?” The entity reached out their hand as more of their body was becoming more visible.
“Mizu” he responded taking their hand
“I must take a more appropriate form for you, master” a female had emerged from the liquid, she had e/c eyes, h/l h/c, and was around the same height as him, if not taller. He was silent as she stood there, she looked at him raising a brow.
“Is this form not to your liking?” she scratched her neck before transforming into many varieties of different people “I can take on many different forms, how about this one? Perhaps this?” he was watching her wide eyes as she went from person to person, he shook his head.
“The first one was fine” he mumbled as she returned back to her originally form
she clapped her hands together which were now in white gloves as she began to speak again.
“With that being settled, let's proceed to discussing our long awaited contact” as she spoke to a table and chair formed from the liquid on the floor. “Since you haven’t told me your wish yet there is still more planning I need for this contact” The two sat face to face.
“I seek revenge against the four white men who ruined my life” his voice was filled with anger as he clenched his fists under the table.
“Revenge huh,” she paused, “for our contact i will grant you 3 additional wishes to add on” she smiled to him as he kept his head down
“And they can be anything, right?” he asked as you nodded in response. He thought for a while, keeping silent.
“My first wish, you will never lie to me ever no matter the circumstance” she raised a brow but silently nodded holding up her hand, removing the glove as the seal glowed as well as the seal in his eye.
Contract number 1. Never to lie
“Secondly, I want help with getting my revenge” she took note, “Haven’t you already wished for this?” he only nodded. She didn't have a say in what he wished for and was only able to oblige to his request.
Contract number 2. Help get the perfect revenge
“And for my last wish, I want you to never betray me and only ever protect me as I seek my revenge”
“Very well” she responded as the last wish was made for the contact
Contract number 3. Never to betray the master and to only protect them at all costs
“I shall follow every one of your wishes to the day our contract ends, and once you receive your revenge, the moment our contact had been fulfilled, I will receive your soul as recompense” the last word she spoke made the boys heart skip a beat
“My soul?” he asked “What about the people who were sacrificed?”
“That was only necessary to bring me into this world. It is in my compensation”
“I see” he fell quiet as she looked at his face
“So tell me master, how do you plan on getting revenge?” her question lingered in the air
