Earth was pissed. No, he was fucking furious. He could vaguely hear the voice of Luna trailing behind him as he made his way to the Kuiper belt. He couldn't make out his words, but he wasn't dumb. Impulsive? Sure. Self centred? Probably. Tired beyond belief? Oh you fucking bet. But the amount of pure magma he could feel thundering through his veins could keep him running for centuries, his earthlings? Eh, if they could handle a little heat, they could handle a little cold.
So you may he wandering, why is Earth so greatly pissed off? Well, the answer was simple. The moons had pelted Mars and Venus until they were half dead. Sure, Earth had said some hurtful things, scratch that, Earth was a downright shit person. If the moons came after him he would understand, hell, he would welcome any asteroids and insults they would fling at him without so much as a hint of retaliation.
But coming after his closest friends?
That was unforgivable.
So, Earth drifted into the Kuiper belt, his slowness and nonchalance a betrayal of just how furious he was. Once he had finally drifted far enough into the cluster of asteroids, he took a deep breath, and bellowed.
"Titan! Get out here!"
An interesting fact about the rocky planets, they could be very loud. The Gas giants had soft bodies, and thus took much more effort to make much less noise beffiting their frame, Uranus and Neptune had even more trouble, being mostly liquid, sure the ice allowed Uranus to be a bit louder than most other mostly-water planets, but it paled in comparison to the sheer volume capable by the rocky planets.
So when Earth really put effort into it? The Solar System quaked. The Sun could feel the sheer force of Earth's shout, and Earth was facing away from him, Earth wouldn't be surprised if planets in other Solar Systems could hear his words like a whisper on the wind.
So, Earth knew that Titan, hell, everyone in the Solar System heard his shout. Planet, Moon, it didn't matter. Luna was still by his side, trying to pull him away, to stop him from doing... whatever he was going to do, even Earth didn't know to be honest.
But as the Moon revealed himself from behind the cover of some Asteroids, Earth could feel his Core beating beneath his crust.
"Earth, I di-" Titan began, raising his arms as if he were the ringleader of a circus, Earth shut that shit down real quick.
"Shut it." Earth growled out, voice echoing, bouncing off of asteroids and poorly hidden moons. Earth took a deep breath, before glaring at Titan with all the rage he could muster, which, considering what Titan had done, was an awful lot.
"I was a dick, yes. I was an arrogant asshole too self-absorbed in my deluded sense of superiority to realise just how small-minded and hurtful and stupid my words were. Truth was, I was insecure!" Earth laughed, head teetering on the edge of insanity.
"I had worked so hard to develop life, tirelessly, day in, day out, I tried to carefully build the perfect environment for life to flourish, and hearing that a Moon? Thousands of miles from the goldilocks zone? So cold that all my humans would simply die if they even attempted to go a minute of your surface? Was capable of developing something so beautiful and tragic as life? It drove me half mad!" Earth could feel his head dripping into insanity.
"So sure! I said something hurtful, and borderline racist, and basically insulted you to your face, but for you to then decide and pelt my best friend's half to death with asteroids? To try and kill Venus and Mars? My orbiting neighbours? The ones, other than Luna, that I spend the most time with? You could have attacked me, in any way you wanted! You could have killed me and I would have stood there and took it with no complaints." Earth stepped forward, grabbing the collar of a now shaking Titan, when did that happen? It didn't matter.
"I have a half a mind to crush you with my gravity here and now." Earth hissed, pretending to not hear the horrified gasps of the moons nearby, including Luna.
"But I won't. I will wait. I will sit. I will calm down. I will talk with Venus and Mars, and ask them what they think I should do. Until then, don't dare show your face around me, I will not always be so merciful." Earth let loose his grip, turning on his heel, and walking away.
"Oh, and Titan, word of advice." Earth paused, looking over his shoulder at the cowering moon.
"If you truly wish the planets to respect you and understand you, don't kill two of them. Remember Jupiter could kill you, and every single other moon that are hiding terribly in the surrounding asteroids, with barely a thought." Earth grumbled, walking away once more.
"Just go on fuckin' strike or something." Were the last words he said, before exiting the Kuiper belt, making his way back to Venus and Mars, both currently resting in his orbit.
