Chapter Text
A/N: To be honest, I had zero plans to actually post this fic because I am satisfied with just imagining it but not really writing it, but here we are. I just got back in the BSD fandom, only having watched S1 and S2 so let us just say this story in within that timeline more or less. This will follow some of the canon but will not really stay true to it due to the fact that I cannot remember the anime really well now.
But keynotes to remember : Dazai and Chuuya had a thing back then when they were in the Port Mafia, right before Dazai left the PM, he and Chuuya mated.
Keywords : In this omegaverse, being mated is the same as being bonded. Meaning once mated, the Omega and Alpha cannot get with another people or else their body will reject it. For Omegas, they would experience extreme nausea, headaches, and sometimes even getting sick. For Alphas, they would never get aroused, no matter what they do. Being mated is a permanent thing, unless one of the pair dies, then the mating marks would “heal” overtime, after that the Omega and Alpha would be free to mate other people again. Betas can also mate but their mating marks would fade every year, thus needing to be marked again if wanted.
Another note: In this story, Chuuya’s first appearance would be his first appearance to the ADA members. Meaning it does not follow the canon where they already know Chuuya and his power. In this story, they are in the dark of who Chuuya is, it will be explain in further chapters, for the sake of the story.
I would explain some other concept the further we get to the story.
-
If someone were to enter the meeting room within the Armed Detective Agency, they would most likely close the door then re-enter it, or if they really have any common sense would just literally get out of the room. Because there was no way in hell that the members gathered around the meeting table could vary reactions due to the news that their President just dropped them.
For some reason Kunikida, removed his glasses and wipe the non-existent dirty in it using his shirt. He took a deep breath, before returning his glasses to his face “I’m sorry what?” he asked as if he suddenly developed hearing loss in the last 30 minutes that they were in the meeting room
Their President, Yukichi Fukuzawa, just nodded calmly as if he knows that this will be their reaction to the news he just announced “Yes, Kunikida-kun, I briefly talked to the Boss of the Port Mafia, and after some… lengthy discussion, we have decided that a truce should be in place, between us and the Port Mafia.”
Ranpo, as always (being the only person who knows what would happen even before it started), just laughed at Kunikida who looks like he just swallowed a very sour lemon and would looks like he would rather jump off the building, he cannot because he respects their President of course. “I am honestly just here in this meeting to witness your reaction guys” Ranpo stated as if this amuses him, as if the whole situation is not inherently insane.
“As expected of Ranpo-san~!” Dazai chimed in, his usual attitude in display, as if he also knew this was about to happen “I don’t know what so hard to understand Kunikida-kun! Maybe working too much on your paperworks has finally taken up all the empty spaces in your brain!”
If Kunikida was a lesser man, he would go up his chair, strangle Dazai, then return to his seat. But alas, he glared from across the table “You sorry-waste of good bandages! Why do you take this news as if it won’t affect you huh!? You do realize that you were in the Port Mafia for a while before ending here, who knows what that organization’s true intentions are with this truce!”
Dazai just shrugged which just irritated Kunikida more “Eh? Why would it affect me? It’s not like I would return to them anyway~” he said then he looked at Ranpo “Besides, after running hundreds of calculations and scenarios with Ranpo-san, this truce will really benefit Yokohama in the long run.” Dazai then returned his attention to Kunikida “Unless, Kunikida-kun can defeat the overseas organizations planning to attack us, then really we should just tell the port mafia that we don’t need them because we have you~!”
Before Kunikida could truly explode from the laid back attitude that Dazai is displaying, Atsushi raised his hand, albeit shaking a little from the news “Ummm… is there really no other way?” he asked looking at their President at the head of the table
Fukuzawa just shakes his head “As much as it pains me to say this but… just like what Dazai and Ranpo said to me, this truce is more than just a truce between the two organization but rather a safety blanket not just to us but also the whole city.” Fukuzawa simply stated “With our combined efforts, we could greatly lessen the upcoming attacks, thus saving more lives, rather than fighting the Port Mafia whilst defending the city. It was the only logical way that we could all come up.”
Atsushi just nodded; he could not truly understand but at least he could try to see where the President is coming from. Beside him Yosano spoke up “And what is the catch? I mean is the Port Mafia just doing this for fun or are we going to lose something because of this truce?” she asked
Fukuzawa turned his attention to her “We haven’t really gotten to the specifics because the idea of the truce was proposed over the phone but, rest assured, we will not lose anything within this truce. I will make sure of that.”
Yosano seems satisfied with that as she just nodded “Alright, as long as everything is fair and square, I won’t really mind what happens.”
Fukuzawa nodded at her statement, then turned his attention once again to the room “Any more questions?” he asked
Surprisingly it was Tanizaki who raised his hands next “Specifics…?” he trailed off “Like, are we going to have to meet them or…?”
Sensing that Tanizaki would not be finishing his question, Fukuzawa nodded “Yes. There will be a face-to-face meeting with some of the Post Mafia members, in a neutral ground. With everyone of us in attendance.”
Atsushi paled at that thought “But Akuta-“ Atsushi wasn’t able to finish his sentence as Dazai draped his arms around his shoulder “Don’t worry your little bangs too much Atsushi-kun! All of us will be there, so if anything happens, I will just nullify all of their abilities, including Akutagawa-kun’s!” Dazai loudly said which made Atsushi breath a little bit “Thank you Dazai-san!” Dazai just smirked at him “But you will owe me~!” of course, Atsushi should have seen that coming.
Kenji on the other hand looks rather excited “Oh~! We will see all of them? That is so exciting! They all dress really fancy!” Kenji said, making Atsushi envy him just a little bit, having such laid-back attitude sure is nice, he thought.
Fukuzawa turned his attention to the only member that has not really spoken yet. Upon his gazed, Kyoka looked up “…I’ll be fine.” She simply stated “Ane-san and I had no bad blood going on now so…” she trailed off “And… to be honest I kind of miss seeing her…” she softy admitted.
Fukuzawa respected that, he once again looked at everyone at the table “I know this came as a shock but, I believe that this truce has more pros and cons in it. Of course, with that being said, I will make sure that we will not lose anything, just think of this truce as a weapon for us to do our jobs more easily and that is to protect the city. I know we have very different morals from the Port Mafia, and will probably clash with them whilst in truce but, I trust that each and one of you would uphold whatever agreement both sides will talk about. It will be a hard adjustment for us to trust the Port Mafia, but then again, they would be doing the same thing to us. I am just asking that all of you will use your proper judgement when the time comes.”
-
“Honestly… if you told me years ago that I would be even considering this truce, I would have laughed so hard I’ll be seeing stars.”
In front of Mori, Kouyou calmly sips her tea, a smile graced on her features “Oh?” she said, intrigued “But didn’t you already see this happening anyway?”
Mori smirked “Of course I did.” He simply stated “After all, morals or not, we could always use additional people to protect the city, don’t you also think of that?”
Kouyou simple nodded “Well, whatever happens… I am sure that it would bring you entertainment.” She said smiling “So, when will we meet them?” she asked
Mori shrugged “I let them pick the date and place, after all I would not want to burden myself with those details. Anywhere is fine.” Mori looked at her, calculating “The real question here is… who in the Port Mafia should we bring to the meeting?”
Kouyou looked back at him, as if reading his mind “You already know who.” She simply said, as if stating a fact. “But for the sake of entertaining your thought, the command unit and the Black Lizard should be sufficient, aren’t they?” but then Kouyou let out a soft laugh “But the answer you really want to hear, is if Chuuya would be able to come right?” she asked but really, with the look that Mori is giving her, she already knows that answer, she chuckled instead “Of course, I wouldn’t miss the chance to give Chuuya a chance to give Dazai a piece of his mind. That would be a silly thing for me to miss to see.”
Mori laughed, amusement clearly on display on his face “That’s all I need to hear.”
-
“I’m impressed! Because if I were in your shoes, I would be sweating a little” Ranpo suddenly exclaimed as he walked up to Dazai “Or… you are just a really good liar for your emotions not to leak out right now, very interesting Dazai~!”
Dazai was not even surprised, he just looked down at the detective, a smile in his face “I don’t know what you’re talking about Ranpo-san~!” Dazai cheerily said “Today is just the simple meeting between two organization, nothing to sweat about!”
Ranpo just smirked at him “If you say soooo!” Ranpo hopped back but not before whispering “I wish you Goodluck.”
Dazai didn’t even acknowledge that, to take his mind of the impending meeting he looked at Atsushi who looks like if given the chance, would bolt out right out of the garden. “At~su~shi-kun~!” Dazai called out as he placed both of his hands on the obviously nervous and tensed shoulder of the poor boy “Don’t look so gloomy! If you do, Akutagawa-kun would surely bully you!”
Atsushi looks like he is ready to cry “Not bully me! Kill me!”
Dazai just laughed “Don’t be so dramatic! Dying is fun so look forward to it!”
Dazai was not able to say anything else because Kunikida smacked his head “You waste of good bandages! Stop making Atsushi more nervous than he already is!” he angrily exclaimed at Dazai
As usual Dazai just whined at him, which Kunikida promptly ignored “So mean Kunikida-kun! I’m just trying to calm him down! We can’t have his pheromones all over the place, Akutagawa-kun would go crazy!”
Kunikida just ignored him in favor of turning his attention to Atsushi “Don’t mind him kid, your scent-blockers are doing their job just fine, Dazai just have a broken nose and brain.” Kunikida simply stated “And besides we are in an open garden, you can’t smell anything in here properly!” Kunikida shouted at Dazai
Dazai just shrugged, not even bothered at the slightest “I can’t smell Atsushi-kun!” he said “I’m just sensing it you know? Atsushi-kun is very predictable.”
For some reason that caught Yosano’s attention “You can’t smell Atsushi, Dazai?” she asked, as she stepped a little bit closer to take a small sniff at Atsushi “Even with scent-blockers some of his pheromones are leaking a little bit…” she trailed off “I’m an Alpha so I could still smell it, albeit not it’s full scent.”
Even Kunikida is now interested in the conversation, he raised an eyebrow at Dazai “Oi! is something really wrong with your nose? Or is this just one of your mind games?”
Surprisingly Dazai just smiled “Aw~! Is Kunikida-kun concerned with me?” he exclaimed loudly making Kunikida once again pissed at him “At this rate I would really believe that you love me Kunikida-kun!”
Before Kunikida could explode, Yosano cut him off “You really won’t answer that question Dazai?” she asked, eyeing the fellow alpha curiously.
If even more possible Dazai’s smile just widen “Ah, who knows~? After years of smelling slug, it’s no surprise really!” Dazai stated, ignoring the knowing look that Ranpo is currently sending him in his peripheral vision, Dazai is confident that Ranpo would not tell. After all the beta detective doesn’t like spoiling the fun. That’s what Dazai likes about him.
Before any of them could speak any further, several footsteps could be heard. And really it doesn’t take a genius to know whose footsteps are they. The entire ADA members present looked towards the entrance of the Garden, and lo and behold.
The Port Mafia makes an entrance.
-
In the ADA ‘side’ consist of the President himself, Yukichi Fukuzawa. Just slightly behind him are Yosano and Kunikida, followed by Ranpo, Atsushi and Kyouka. For some reason Tanizaki and Dazai are at the back of the formation.
In the Port Mafia, neatly lined up behind their Boss Mori Ogai, Akutagawa followed by Higuchi. Behind the command unit is the black lizard, also neatly lined up, Hirotsu, Gin, then finally Tachihara. Kouyou standing gracefully at Mori’s right side.
For a few tensed second, nobody dared to move or even make any sound. The two organization isn’t even glaring at each other, merely observing. As if someone dares to break the first line of tension. Well minus Akutagawa who is openly glaring at Atsushi.
Finally Mori smiled, looking right at Dazai, whose expression is a perfect blank, a mask if you will “Ah, Dazai-kun looking for someone?” he asked, it seems like an innocent question but Dazai knows the meaning behind it
It didn’t escape’s anyone’s attention the way the temperature suddenly dropped a few degrees “Mori-san, I can’t truly say nice to see you again.” Dazai stated still looking directly at him, gaze not wavering “If it were up to me, I could go my whole life not seeing you!” Dazai’s tone might be light, but his eyes and tone say otherwise
Kunikida doesn’t fully understand the atmosphere but he nudges Dazai “You can’t say things like that, the truce…!” Kunikida half whispered, Dazai looked at him, then back at Mori. Dazai shrugged as if suddenly bored with the interaction, but thankfully said nothing else.
Fukuzawa finally cleared his throat bringing the whole attention to himself “Mori-dono, we are here for the formalities of an official truce between the two organization, and I highly suggest that we do just that. No more and no less”
Mori’s attention was turned to Fukuzawa “Ah of course Fukuzawa-dono pardon the small ice breaker I provided.” He simply stated “After all I know that everyone is tensed with this development, but I can assure you, we are here on diplomatic terms. You can have my word that none of my members would attack at any point on this meeting.” Mori then once again looked back at Dazai, his gaze portraying something “Ah unless… well it’s really not in my hands.”
Surprisingly Ranpo snickered at that, but nobody paid him any mind. Fukuzawa simply nodded “Then shall we start? Rest assured that you also have my word that no weapons and abilities are to be drawn at the duration of this meeting.”
Mori simply smiled, as if already sensing that will not be the case. But deciding to let the show transpire nevertheless “Of course.”
-
“Mama…”
Chuuya looked behind him as he slides in his gloves, perfectly fitting every fingers. He smiled at the boy “Yes, Yue? Do you need something before I go?” Chuuya softly asked, not the tone you would expect from someone who could easily snap your skull in half. But alas, its just him and his son.
Yue, a 4-year-old boy, dark brown hair neatly styled even though it is clear that the boy just woke up from his nap. Chuuya couldn’t help but crouch down so he could be eye level with his son, he gently brushed his son’s bangs to remove some hair that is covering his dark brown eye, same shade as the bastards’ eyes. Chuuya absentmindedly thought, it’s a good thing that for some gifted reason his son developed a heterochromia eyes, a beautiful blue shade eye as Chuuya’s own eyes on his right, and the same exact replica as Dazai’s eyes on the left. Chuuya couldn’t even be mad that the only physical trait that his son managed to get from him is his right eye color. Well, it doesn’t even matter because Chuuya would forever love his son regardless of the striking resemblance with that stinky waste of good bandages bastard.
“When will you be back?”
Chuuya smiled “It’s just a meeting… you know how boring those get right?” Chuuya said “I can’t take you with me because… Mama isn’t one hundred percent sure that these people are nice.” Chuuya carefully said because for some cursed reason, his son is very intelligent for someone his age. Wonder where he got it from… Chuuya sarcastically thought, of course he knows.
Yue looked at him, after some minute, he probably decided not to push “Okay Mama, but I will miss you.”
Chuuya laugh lightheartedly “I will just be gone for like 2 hours tops.” He said hugging his son who immediately wrapped his arms around him “I promise, then after that we could do whatever you want okay?”
With that promise, its clear as day that his son was happy, his blue eye shines with anticipation “I really want to read this book with you but I don’t understand some of the words yet…” even without looking at Yue, Chuuya knows that his son is pouting. He doesn’t understand the dilemma because frankly, Yue’s reading, writing and understanding ability is way beyond normal child his age. Chuuya just justify that it’s the genes.
“You don’t want to play instead?” Chuuya asked teasingly
Yue broke the hug and looked at him as if he was suggesting something he doesn’t understand, his nose scrunching up “I wanna read.”
Chuuya sighed but smiled “Of course, whatever Yue wants okay?”
And really, whatever his son wants, especially the way his son smiles at him “I love you Mama” Yue happily said as he leaned forward, kissing Chuuya right in his forehead, a thing his son loves doing at any point.
Chuuya placed both of his hands in his son’s face, gently squishing it, “I love you more Yue…” he softly said.
Chuuya knows that he should probably leave now, seeing as he is a few minutes late already and he is known for his punctuality. But the way his son smiles at him right now, Chuuya couldn’t give a fuck about the meeting, important meeting or not, his son takes fist priority of course. But Chuuya knows deep down that he is intentionally delaying the inevitable, after all despite not being an official executive of the port mafia, he knows who will be present on that meeting. He almost declines the meeting but given his new line of work within the port mafia, he knows that the more he delays the more he admits to being a coward. It’s just Dazai he chants the moment he sees that name on the list. Chuuya knows, despite all the longing, hoping, and little bit of waiting on his part, anger will resurface first the moment he sees Dazai again.
Really, its just unfortunate that Chuuya is planning on punching Dazai square in the face right in front of his friends in the ADA, but well… Chuuya does sometimes miss the thrill of violence.
Its just too bad that Dazai would be the receiving end of it. Totally not planned.

A/N: If you have a hard time picturing Yue, his hairstyle is the same as Aqua’s from Oshi no Ko, the bangs on his left eye is long to the point of hiding the eye. The reason? Nothing in particular, it’s just that Yue will have his reason. Also, heterochromia means having two eye colors. In this case, Blue in the right eye, dark brown on his left. His name is Yue because I absolutely adore that name and I use it almost always in any fics that I have.
Thoughts on how the next chapter will go? :D Also to clear things up, Chuuya is part of the port mafia, not an executive though (I know its canon that Chuuya is an executive) but in this fic I decided to give him a new position that will be revealed later on and why.
