Chapter Text
There was a loud crash.
Izuku jolted up, his eyes darted around the room but it was untouched, He ran to his door and ever so quickly whipped it open.
in the hall everyone was in as much of a panic as he was.
”The hell was that?!” Bakugo growled nearly blowing his door off its hinges. “It came from downstairs!” Kirishima rushed to the elevator.
The couches were torn and seemed to be thrown across the room. Mina was on the floor by the purple portal that closed clenching her stomach in pain “Mina?!” Kirishima rushed up to her stopping once he saw the blood leaking through her fingers, Izuku noticed Hagakure and Jirou struggling to get up as well, but Ojiro and Kaminari rushed to their sides. There was a low explosion and a huge gust of wind followed by the smell of burning ash Izuku looked over at Bakugou who lunged toward the disappearing portal “What is going on!?” Yaoyorozu rushed in seemingly shocked by the destruction around her she was followed by Tokoyami and Iida, “They got Uraraka!” Mina cried from Kirishima’s arms “And Aoyama!”
Ojiro looked over at Kaminari in a panic. Iida's body tensed as well as Midoriya whose eyes just widened. Bakugo was an angry mess, more probably so because he was unable to hit someone for waking him up. Nobody moved, everyone was frozen, that’s when Aizawa came rushing down to the disaster.
The next day school was canceled which meant classes could do what they wanted besides leave campus, besides 1a all students except Mina, Jirou, and Hagakure were brought back into the dorms for questioning after they were sure there were no villains.
“This place is clear.” Aizawa walked in toward 1a that was gathered around the new couches “I hate to confirm it, but Uraraka and Aoyama are missing.” The class exchanged looks except for Bakugo. “We have pros working on the case already. So do not intervene.” Aizawa said with a threatening tone, “Excuse me, Mr. Aizawa.” Iida raised his hand, and everyone turned to him “Yes Iida?”
“This is the 2nd time one of our classmates has gotten personally targeted. These random villain attacks are getting out of hand. I would never assume Ua is not concerned for our safety, but this is a serious matter, why can we as future pros not help find our friends?”
Iida's statement made the room quiet, but the students agreed, “We have experience with villains, why can't we just help?” Todoroki added silently "we have licenses."
“By law we cannot involve children.” Aizawa turned to leave “But if you have any more information, I will think about it.”
Once Aizawa left, Kirishima stormed off to his room, it made sense that he would be mad he could not do anything, but it would not be a surprise if he went out to help his friends. It is all he ever wants to do. “It's like Bakugo all over again.” Shoji mentioned with his head down low, “They can't just tell us not to do anything, two of our classmates were taken!” Sero complained, Tsu beside him just had a sad look on her face. Bakugo growled getting up from the couch “This wasted my time enough.”
The room was silent as he left.
“What if they're in serious danger?” Mina said looking to the other classmates as if they had answers “They could be dead.”
“No.”
Midoriya broke the tension.
“If they took them then they want something. Just like with Bakugo.”
“But what?” Momo winced gripping her shirt.
Nobody knew. Izuku hesitated, he opened his mouth to talk but nothing came out. Why were they taken...?
The rest of the day went by quietly, Mina, Jirou and Hagakure were brought back the next morning to nothing but deep cuts and head injuries, but they were encouraged to stay at the dorms.
The next day during class Aizawa and Present Mic could not seem to keep a topic up.
“You know it's hard to teach when you all look so bummed out.” Mic sighed, turning around to the darkened class, some students looked like they were trying to pay attention, but it was hard not to notice the 2 empty seats in row 1. Aizawa stepped out of the sleeping bag “If it's about Uraraka and Aoyama then...”
“We’ve got it covered!” present mic interrupted. Aizawa gave Mic a look as if trying to quietly tell him to shut the hell up, "it's nothing to worry about!"
the door slid open, and all might walked in “Aizawa.” he motioned behind him silently mic moved aside letting Aizawa walk past and leave the room.
“Do they have any leads?” Kirishima, unsurprisingly, asked making some other students perk up Mic bit his lip as if he was not allowed to answer before replacing it with a huge smile “I have no idea!" He gave the class a huge thumbs up.
“This is bad. Not only was there another attack but two students got taken.” all might complained quietly “Ua is on the verge of getting shut down if attacks like these keep happening...” all might cut himself off “if those students die. That is guilt no hero can pass. What makes it worse is we promised them protection, but we put their lives in danger.”
Aizawa shook his head, “These attacks are beyond our control.”
All might rolled his eyes “Tell that to the media.”
Aizawa stopped looking over to all might confused, "what?"
All might raised a skinny brow "nezu didn't tell you? Reporters want a meeting with half the staff." Aizawa gritted his teeth.
"That includes you eraser."
Jirou placed her tray down on the table, Yaoyorozu was the first to say something
“Is everything okay Jirou?”
Jirou looked up at her “Yeah... It is just kind of weird knowing your friend is being held captive.”
Mina leaned back in her seat “Yeah? Isn’t she remarkably close to you?” she teased
“Mina not the time.” Momo sighed “Don't worry! The pros will find Uraraka soon! Just like how they did with Bakugo!” Hagakure stood up hoping to encourage them. After a moment
Jirou blinked looking away “Yeah...”
“This is a way of declaring war.”
The pros turned to Nezu
“They have no intention of turning Ochako to the dark side, they know very highly of her loyalty. But it is war they want.” Nezu slid a paper toward Aizawa
“We’re not seriously going to go through it with war, are we?!” Midnight asked as Aizawa passed the paper around “If they're declaring war by holding two of our student's hostage then what is there more to do?” All might is now holding the paper looking helpless.
“I am telling you! There is a traitor!” Present Mic said tiredly “Someone is letting the League in giving them information and screwing us over!”
“Mic calm down!”
“Why should I?!”
Nezu shook his head “If we want to find these students without having to cause war then we have to be smart about this” He looked over at All Might “Even if it means doing this without the symbol of peace.”
All might frowned "you're going to have to do it with the new number 1."
Mina bit her nails
Momo placed her hands on Jirou's shoulders “Are you okay?”
Jirou froze completely her face burnt pink, Kaminari raised a brow nudging Kirishima
“I'm fine...” Jirou panicked silently, “I’ve got some ideas about what happened to Uraraka and Aoyama if you all are interested?” Momo said sitting down beside Jirou who was still burning pink, Kirishima perked up “What do you have?”
“Uraraka and Aoyama were taken just as Mina, Jirou, and Hagakure were dropped. Hagakure said Uraraka put up a fight, but Aoyama did not.” Momo explained, Kirishima and Mina shared a confused look “So what are you saying?”
“I am saying does anyone not find it weird how Aoyama did not put up a fight and Uraraka did? Like he wanted them to take him.”
“But Aoyama has always been scared so...” Mina shrugged; Momo shook her head. “You don’t understand what I’m saying.”
“What exactly are you trying to say? Aoyama is working with the villains?” Kirishima said with a small sass placing his hands on his hips.
Momo sighed, opening her mouth to speak but was cut off.
“I heard They have leads now so we have nothing to be worried about,” Tsu said, walking out of the room. “Tsu?” Jirou whispered knowing the girl would not stop if she called her name either way.
"Just leave her." Mina mumbled, "Nobody can blame her for how she feels."
Jirou nodded,
"they're never going to find them." Kirishima swore, Kaminari raised a brow "The pros found Bakugo what makes you think this time will be any different?"
"They found him, but we were the ones who got him!" Kirishima motioned towards Todoroki, Momo, and Midoriya who were silently sitting there "They were hardly going to get him if it wasn't for us. We jumped in and grabbed him! Without all might no other hero can take on all for one other than him."
Midoriya made a sad face at the thought, since all might be gone the pros stood no chance against all for one.
"What if all for one doesn't have them?"
"What?" Kirishima turned to Midoriya
"After his battle with all might he's not in police custody anymore. He must be hospitalized so this could be the league's idea themselves." Midoriya said clenching his fists his face looked sober. "They must want her quirk."
"It makes sense." Todoroki added, "They want us to come and rescue them, that is if what Yaoyorozu is saying is true and Aoyama wanted the league to take him then this abduction has more meaning to it than wanting her quirk."
"Why would you think Aoyama would do such a thing?!" Iida entered the room "he's not like that."
"I know it's hard to believe but we don't know anything right now, so how can we know any of us are right?" Yaoyorozu put her hand on her chest "But it isn't right for me to put such little hope in my classmate." Her expression saddened "it was an offensive thing to accuse."
"You didn't do anything wrong. It was just an observation." Todoroki told her, Iida clenched his fists looking at the students around him Bakugo was already in bed, Sato was assumed to be cooking in his room, and he was not sure where everyone but Midoriya, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, Jirou, Momo and Todoroki were.
"Uraraka and Aoyama are my friends as well. I am worried for their safety more than anything else. But I will not allow any of you to go out making the same mistake we made when Bakugo was taken." He glared at Todoroki and Kirishima "especially you two. Even if you're considering it."
Kirishima glared back "Well you're in luck because we weren't."
"I don't want to sit back and be helpless again!" Mina stood up "My friends are kidnapped this could be worse than what happened with Bakugo!"
The room went silent with Mina’s outburst.
"They could die and we're all sitting here doing nothing! We're not even helping them look for her."
"If we do anything we're expelled." Todoroki reminded
"shouldn't we be okay and willing to risk it?! You and Kirishima were ready to risk everything for Bakugo! What is so different about Uraraka and Aoyama?" Mina cried, "If nobody wants to help me, fine. I might not go after them and look but I will do research." She began to walk away "And if you want to help, you're welcome to. But it seems nobody wants to." She left the room with the cold shoulder. Momo stood up "Mina’s right. she doesn't see our intentions as one that wants to help but she doesn't see that it's all we want to do."
Kirishima plopped back down on the couch with a sigh, Todoroki walked around the couch sitting beside Kaminari "what if they make her an offer?" Kaminari raised a brow leaning back against the couch "they made an offer to Bakugo because he was strong not likely they will with uraraka."
"Are you trying to call her weak or something!?" Jirou threatened by pointing one of her earphones at Kaminari as if daring him to make a move, "No! I did not mean it like that! I am talking about it like quirk wise!" He defended
"Then why didn't they take you?" Todoroki turned to him less obvious that this was an unintentional insult, Kaminari sadly turned away
"Uraraka's quirk can be powerful. But it's easier with hand-to-hand combat." Midoriya loudly muttered "but they might want to make her dangerous maybe like taking her quirk and replacing it?"
“Why would they do that.” Kirishima groaned pinching the bridge of his nose “Yeah they didn’t want Bakugo's quirk?” Jirou frowned “What could they want with zero gravity?”
“Can we please stop comparing this to Bakugo?” Iida sat down beside Yaoyorozu “It's unfair.” Jirou looked away “Your right I’m sorry.” She drew her ear jack back “No need to apologize.” Iida reached over Yaoyorozu patting Jirou's shoulder; it was an awkward gesture but kind.
"What are you all still doing awake?!”
Everyone jumped turning to the figure walking out of the dark
“Lights out was an hour ago.” Aizawa’s eyes flashed red, and his hair flew up “Sorry Mr. Aizawa!” Each student apologized quickly rushing up and out of the room.
“Midoriya.”
The green-haired boy stopped and turned to his teacher “Yeah?”
“Fat gum is helping on the case to get Uraraka and Aoyama back, so is Ryukyu and Mirio. This means Kirishima and Tsuyu will be involved as well. Tokoyami may as well if Hawks takes in the case. Mirio requested to bring you along.”
Midoriya's eyes widened.
“And I accepted as a pro. I am not fully okay with this idea, but I know that if I do not accept you will be willing to do something risky even if I said no. But as your teacher I have some concerns involving how you will handle this case.” Aizawa looked up at Midoriya with a glare his hair finally fell to his sides “can I trust you to be mature during this mission.”
Midoriya nodded his face looked determined “I promise.”
Mina sat down in her chair with an angry sigh, she ran her fingers through her messy pink hair before stopping at her horns, "what am I doing." She mumbled to herself opening her computer brushing her fingers against the soft fabric of the pink n black leopard case, her mother bought her it for her birthday. Mina clicked on search, but articles popped up 'Ua students Ochako Uraraka and Yuga Aoyama reported kidnapped by villains? Here's Ua's response!'
Mina squinted at the link. She does not remember Aizawa saying anything about ua speaking publicly about it. Out of curiosity she clicked on the link.
Principal nezu was sitting in a chair beside him was Midnight, Present mic, and Mr. Aizawa
Didn't he hate the media...? But He did go on the media when Bakugo was kidnapped...
Questions were asked and everyone kept their cool, "This isn't the first time a student has gotten kidnapped I thought you said the dorms were to keep the students safe?" One reporter asked.
"How noisy." Mina mumbled resting her chin in her palm.
"That was the point of the dorms yes." Nezu confirmed
"Then how can you explain these two students kidnapping?"
"We aren't saying the students aren't safe. They still are." Midnight defended calmly, it was oblivious, but mina noticed mic lean over and whisper something to Mr. Aizawa
"Then how was a villain able to break into the dorms which are supposed to be protected?"
Aizawa stood up.
"This is going to be good." Mina commented leaning back in her chair
"There have been thoughts of this, and we believe there is a Ua traitor among the classes."
Mina's heart dropped
"We aren't certain who but please do not worry, for the parents of 1a's students your students are safe." Nezu smiled widely, Aizawa lowered his head
"Can you elaborate your term on there being a traitor? Like a teacher?"
Mic shook his head "we're certain it's a student, giving information and secrets from the school to the league." Do they know how dangerous that is... Speaking about it publicly?
"No students at Ua are endanger until the traitor makes another move." Midnight said standing up beside Aizawa
"Do you plan on Fastly locating these stu-"
Mina slammed her computer shut, a traitor? Why didn't Mr. Aizawa say anything? Why would they even go out publicly without warning ua first? Is this their way of trying to tell the traitor they are onto them?
For a second mina thought about what Yaoyorozu said about Aoyama she knew it was not true, Iida was right Aoyama would not do that. He was supportive and sweet. very self-centered but he was still their classmate.
And they had no right to accuse him of this.
Mina plopped down on her bed hugging one of her pillows "what am I going to do?" She whispered into the cloth.
