Hi, I'm Ginger and I write fanfictions. Although my publishing schedule is nonexistent I at least try to publish once or twice a month lol

I wrote this instead of working on Sleeping In The Sun.

Work Text:

     Cold droplets pour onto a body lying in the middle of the field, their clothes drenched and hair completely soaked. Yet their face and body didn't tremble or shiver, if anything they seemed at ease, almost as if the sticking of their clothes didn't affect their quality of sleep or the mud that was slowly seeping onto their back. In the distance a bright blond and a floating creature were walking down the path nearest to the field, their voices disoriented due to the rain but the small creature's voice boomed at this moment.

     “Uhhh Traveler Paimon’s eyes might be tricking her but is that a body over there” The creature now named Piamon points towards the big Oak Tree, her face morphing into one of concern. Turning to look in the direction of Paimon’s point, the Traveler squints his eyes and without a word rushes over towards the Anemo Archon’s statue, Paimon right at his tail. Stopping right in front of the figure he kneels down and quickly checks the temperature, cold but still holding some warmth, he exhales lightly presumably relieved.

     The body although unknown to the two in front of it is well you. Your clothes were clearly different from his own or from anyone in Mondstadt, it reminded him slightly of another world he'd visited before but couldn’t put a finger on it. Almost as quickly as he had checked your temperature he came to a conclusion, or at least an inference, that just like himself you were from another world. Brought over here someway from the stars and crashed into this world, drenched in rain and mud, left unconscious. A subtle sadness washes over his chest as he gazes at your peaceful slumbered face, easily imagining how your reaction would be once you've awakened.

     “I think we should take them to the Cathedral, who knows how long they've been here. Poor person…” Paimon’s voice drags the Traveler back into reality, humming in agreement he hooks an arm underneath your upper back and legs before lifting you up with him. Walking down the path towards the city Paimon tries to use her hands to prevent any more rain from hitting your face, a kind gesture that didn't do much due to her small hands but sweet nonetheless.

     Instinctively you lean into the Traveler, the warmth emitting from his body gives you a sense of safety and comfort. For only a second were your eyes able to open, you solely see the white and yellow of his scarf before you drifted into unconsciousness. Your mind remains blank, stuck in darkness, but the heartbeat of the Traveler echoes through your mind. You let out a quiet hum, a sudden feeling of sparks course through both you and the Traveler making him stop as a burst of stars and glowing specks of light subtly emitted from the two of you. Paimon looks at him with confusion and he meets hers with a similar look but continues to the city.

     As for you the moment the burst of energy happened you're once blank and voided mind is filled with blurred visions that played out as memories. The only constant attribute in each one is the blob of yellow that always appears in front or beside you. Then in the last memory, the blob of yellow grabs hold of your hands and whispers in a voice filled with adoration and love.

“cor meum ad te suspirat, ut una stella fiamus.”

You feel a smile grace your face. In a similar tone you respond;

“amor noster in astris”
