Yoo Joonghyuk came back with a bag of groceries. He opened the door, only to be greeted by an armful of his roommate.
'Joonghyuk-ah!'
'Kim Dokja, what are you doing?' Yoo Joonghyuk said, pushing the shorter man back while keeping his hands on his shoulders.
'I missed you!' Kim Dokja took a step back to look at him. 'Can't I greet my boyfriend with a hug?'
Yoo Joonghyuk froze. Boyfriend? He looked over to their friends sitting in the living room.
'It's okay, Joonghyuk-ssi. We all know about it now. You don't have to pretend,' Yoo Sangah said with her usual gentle smile.
'Yeah! Although I can't believe you've been keeping it from us for months!' said Jung Heewon. Next to her, Lee Hyunsung gave him a reassuring grin.
'Not me though! I knew something was up with these idiots,' Han Sooyoung smirked as she sipped her drink.
Did I walk through a portal to another world on my way back? Is this real? Yoo Joonghyuk looked at the man with an infuriating smile standing before him. Has it all been–
'Anyway! Now that you're back, we should finish setting up and start the party!' Kim Dokja turned to walk away. Then Yoo Joonghyuk noticed the calendar on the wall.

Yoo Joonghyuk calmly walked over to the kitchen counter, put down the bag, and grabbed Kim Dokja by his waist.
'Party is cancelled. I'm sure you understand,' he told their friends, who got up from their seats with a knowing smile, all except a confused Lee Hyunsung.
'It's April Fool's Day! Joonghyuk-ah, I didn't know you'd be so upset–'
'You started it, Kim Dokja. Take responsibility.' Yoo Joonghyuk pulled Kim Dokja into his room and shut the door.
'Are you sure we can just leave Dokja-ssi like that?' Lee Hyunsung asked with a worried look on his face. Jung Heewon patted him on his shoulder and said, 'Don't worry. That grumpy bastard would never hurt that idiot.'
'We've suffered enough watching them dance around each other. What poetic justice that the squid set his own trap! Come on, let's find another place to have an actual party!” Han Sooyoung nudged the others to leave and closed the door behind them.
