Chapter 1

Notes:

Hi, Cia here.
Uh.. I think this is my first fic that I planned out thoroughly, I got a whole crazy layout, yet I'm still not confident with it. I'm sorry if I slipped up on some grammar mistakes. English is not my forte.

Anyway pls be aware, that some characters' full names, relatives or ages are headcanon, etc. I tried my best to write this.

It's kinda inspired by real events in kpop and this fic (it's so beautifully written pls check it out)! But, I hope you enjoy it.

I just hope this show won't get canceled anytime soon. With the amount of crazy jealous fans going around. Yeah, you know what I mean. I only want to see my idol up there interacting with other idols bruh, it's cute.

They're not even fans at this point lol. They are delusional people that exist in Teyvat, sadly.

They should invite anyone from 6REEZE. Literally will boost the show since they're everywhere in my timeline.

Today like any other day, Vision's dance practice room beamed with loud music. Seven men working hard practicing their butts off without any break. After the last beat, Childe strikes a finishing pose in his position in the group. Right, he's supposed to be at the center. Now his face is scowling, very much irritated at the fact that he made a mistake right at the end of the song.

"We should take a break," Zhongli said as he reached for a bottle of water. Passing it through the others. Huffed noises can be heard as his friends slump down on the rock-hard tiles beneath them. Squeaking noises come out of their shoes.

Childe doesn't understand why today he felt so out of it. Since morning, he had these unsettling feelings in his chest. As if something was about to happen today. He shouldn't have thought too much about it though. Better to focus on fixing his mistakes at practice today. It always has been his goal to be the perfect rising idol he is right now, and he knows he can reach even more heights seeing the current flow of their boy group.

Obsessing over improving his singing and moves had been his thrive. It's always worth it after hearing the loud cheering from his fans every time they finish a performance. Self-satisfaction is screaming in his chest as a result of yet winning another award or most highest-grossing sales of the album. Yet, it's not enough. He craved more.

"What the hell was that sloppy hand dance Alhaitham? Can't you bother to try a little bit harder?" Kaveh sneered.

"Shut up," was the man's response. Listening to their bantering brought a small smile to his lips. Well, at least he's not the odd one out.

Passing the audition in Palais Entertainment changed his life tremendously. Never has Childe imagined being the popular idol from a boy group called Vision where he is right now. At first thought, he was skeptical when he met the grey-haired man and the blondie for the very first time. Thinking, can such a nerd like them actually have the desire to be the apex of an idol such as him? Oh, has he been so wrong.

They proved him wrong ever since all seven of them had been put in the same team, surviving the hell out of the survival show their agency set them in. Vision would have been non-existent if they didn't survive if all of them did not survive and thankfully debuted after.

And to think that he used to prefer to work his way alone. The irony, they're as much as inseparable now. The ginger had always thought that maybe he would be a successful soloist idol. He always wanted to get the Divo recognition. It has been his dream. To achieve the recognition of a Divo would be the pinnacle of his existence.

Oh, Divo, celestial sovereign of the realm of renown. In the grand saga of human existence, stories of both success and struggle. There strides the Divo, a being of charisma, a star of the celestial design. A Divo would inspire wonder with every step, his presence a tempest of allure, a magnet for ravenous eyes, a lighthouse for doubting souls. Being a Divo is the epitome of greatness and the essence of praise.

It would be comparable to conquering the world.

It's crazy how fast they ranked up in the Entertainment world. It feels like they just debuted a while ago and now they are already preparing for the rehearsal of a new album. It's been a daily routine for Childe to practice with the group every day. Learning the new dance might be exhausting but he can't wait to show the whole world with the new choreography that Kaeya made for them. He can't wait to shoot the music video.

"Childe, you're not in your game today. What's up with you?" Wriothesley said as he shook a water bottle in front of him, prompting him to take it.

The ginger took it out of his hand without too much thought. He needs the water like his life depends on it right now, he's exhausted. "I can't fucking focus since morning."

"Childe, what did I tell you about your use of language?" Zhongli adds while Childe shrugs in protest.

"Mne vse ravno, ded. It's not like I can change my habit overnight, Zhongli." He opened his water bottle and sighed, quenching his thirst with a long drink from the cool water, slipping down his throat like a soothing balm. Just what he needs.

"It's not good for your public image. I've told you many times that—"

"I know, I know! Don't lecture me. I'll tone it down!" Childe interrupts before the man can finish his sentence.

Zhongli fixed him with a stern gaze that brooked no argument, and once again responded with a curt "Good."

Before they could relax and chatter further about what to improve and discuss about their day. The door to their studio creaks open revealing their manager, Albedo, who enters the room whilst holding a note.

"Another job from Neuvilette just came in." Albedo reached them while they gathered around the blonde to listen. Childe casually rests his hand on Wriothesley's shoulder.

"The music video shooting will be held in the next three days, so you guys better be prepared by then. Zhongli, I trust you to lead them." Albedo said as he made eye contact with Zhongli. The said man gives him a nod.

Albedo's eyes moved down to the list and continued, "Alhaitham and Kaveh, you both are going to attend an interview about your last gig on the movie you're both in. It's on Monday, at seven in the morning, don't forget."

Kaveh grumbles softly, giving out minor protests under his breath. "Great, stuck with this guy again," he mumbles. Meanwhile, Alhaitham simply nods, wiping the sweat from his face with a towel dangling from his neck.

"Diluc you are chosen to model for the latest Teyvat Fashionzine, congratulations. The photo shoot will be on Monday, starting at eight." Albedo continues.

"Great for you." Kaeya nudges Diluc's arm with his elbow, a smirk playing on his lips. The red-haired man closes his eyes and crosses his arms over his chest, nodding in acknowledgment towards Albedo.

"Kaeya, there's been a small adjustment to the dance choreography. Eula would like to discuss it with you. Meet her at nine. I suggest Zhongli accompany you." The blonde remarked, swiftly jotting down notes with his pen.

"Huh, seems like she's not a fan of my choreography for the second chorus. She even made a face out of it before. Oh well." Kaeya remarked as he lifted both his hands and casually shrugged.

"Your choreography is too demanding for me, especially while singing. It's hard to catch my breath while moving that fast, Kaeya. I understand where she's coming from." Wriothesley commented, crossing his arms.

"Hey, it adds impact to the performance. I get that your lines are mostly in the second chorus, but imagine the audience's reaction when they see us nail that flip." Kaeya retorted while pointing a finger at him.

"I'm not done." Albedo cuts in, he grimaces at the long line of text in his notes. Wriothesley just rolled his eyes in response to Kaeya's retort.

Albedo continued his explanation of the extensive list of jobs they had to tackle over the next two weeks. It appeared that they wouldn't have much of a break. They needed to dedicate their time to perfect their dance choreography. Additionally, Childe and Zhongli had to record additional adlibs for certain songs. Meanwhile, Wriothesley and Kaeya had numerous modeling gigs lined up.

When Childe realized that he had fewer gigs than the others, he found himself surprisingly content with it. It was a rarity for him to not have loaded work to do, given his current rise in popularity. People's demand for him is high, so a change of pace or a little rest seemed appealing.

He considered writing his own song. He wanted to try music production and contribute to their new album, eager to see his name credited as a songwriter or composer. However, to his dismay, Albedo surprised him by saying he'd get a new schedule to align with his new gig.

"Childe, you're going to get your own schedule. There's a new gig for you. Quite significant, I must say," Albedo announced. Childe's expression soured into a frown.

Looks like he had to push back his plan to write a song for now, as the demands from the agency held greater importance at the moment.

"Ho-ho, looks like Mr. Sexiest Idol of the Year landed another big gig. Can't say I'm surprised," Kaeya teased, while Wriothesley whistled in amusement, drawing an exasperated 'I'm done' expression from the ginger.

"Cut the chase, get to the point." Childe sighed, pinching his nose and wearing a stressed expression. Looks like he had grown accustomed to the others' teasing by now.

"Hmm," Albedo nodded, his eyes glued on his note. A hint of amusement crossed his face as he delivered the unexpected news.

"You're getting married."

...

...

...

"What?" Childe finally breaks out his word after a brief pause. Disbelief loading in his mind. Kaveh snorts along with Kaeya and Wriothesley, as they laugh uproariously.

"Unbelievable." Kaveh chimes in. "Are you finally giving up on being a Divo?"

"No! What? I... I don't even, huh...???" Confusion washed over his face as he looked up at Albedo, his expression betraying a sense of feeling betrayed.

There's no chance he's getting married right now. He only recently debuted and is striving to achieve the first step of his dream at the age of 21. Besides, he doesn't have a girlfriend or anyone fitting that role. So what the hell did Albedo mean?

Diluc struggled to stifle a laugh, his best efforts not quite enough to suppress his amusement completely.

"I offer you my congratulations," Zhongli said, offering him a pat on the shoulder.

"No!" Childe blurted out. Removing Zhongli's hand on his shoulder. "Albedo, you better explain this joke of yours. I'm not eating any of it," he demanded.

"Technically, you are going to play a role, a simulated marriage for a TV program called We Got Married," the blonde said while checking the contract agreements, before continuing, "As per the agreements, you'll be shooting episodes for the next three months," Albedo explained, referencing his notes.

Anger and confusion gradually dissipated from the ginger's face. Relief flooded in as he realized that, naturally, his agency wouldn't force him into a marriage or anything like that. After all, he took his love life very seriously. He wouldn't settle for just anyone to be his lifelong partner.

Childe tensed up upon hearing all that information. Azure eyes remained wide with disbelief as he looked at Albedo and absorbed the surreal situation. Couldn't believe there was an entire reality show centered around celebrities fake marrying each other.

"...That ought to be the first thing you should've said," Childe exhaled, his sigh resonating loudly as he frowned. Meanwhile, Kaeya persisted in laughter, playfully slapping his shoulder.

"Oh, WGM?! Dude, that's all the rage lately! It practically dominated Akasha's trends throughout the entire last season," Kaveh exclaimed, his face tinged with excitement and surprise.

"Yeah, it consistently showed up on my timeline, even though I'm not following anything associated with it," Alhaitham revealed, catching everyone off guard, while he checked his phone.

Well, if even Alhaitham commented on it, it must be a big deal, right? Just what exactly makes it so popular that it managed to infect Alhaitham's phone?

"It is indeed very popular lately, which presents a prime opportunity for you, Childe. Just make sure to do some research before you start filming," Albedo suggested, looking at his phone.

Lots of questions start to pop out in Childe's mind. He still doesn't have a clue about this reality show, having never watched it before or paid attention to it if it ever appeared on his own Akasha.

"Wait, who am I gonna get paired up with? Also, marriage simulation? Am I going to have to live with her?!" Childe asked bluntly.

Albedo sighed as he handed a stack of papers to the ginger, responding, "That's why I said, do your research first. And don't forget to read the contract. You have an interview scheduled for tomorrow at nine a.m. sharp, so make sure you're prepared."

"Tomorrow?!" That is not even enough time to be mentally prepared. He doesn't even know who he's going to be fake married to.

"Yes. They want your reaction to be as genuine as possible. That's why they don't reveal too much information beforehand. There isn't even a script; you're just guided through it with goals and challenges," Albedo explained with a nod.

Dumbfounded, Childe found himself experiencing a whirlwind of emotions right now. How on earth was he supposed to research this reality show of fake marriage that he never watched before with only three hours left before the day ended and the interview began?

Also, without any knowledge of who he's going to be married to, this person could be older or younger than him. He certainly didn't want it to be just anyone. Their first meeting could be incredibly awkward.

Moreover, appearing on a reality show, especially one where marriage is involved, could upset his fans. Aren't idols supposed to belong to everyone? Wouldn't they get upset if their idol married someone?

He let a few moments pass, taking a few breaths to gather his thoughts before continuing. "What if I don't want to sign this contract..?"

Albedo's gaze bore into him with a grave intensity. "Honestly, this contract offers nothing but benefits for you."

"There are very few downsides, given that fans enjoy it and understand it's fake," he stated, his arms crossed. A contemplative expression settled on his features. "Unless you want to appease the deluded ones. Additionally, it pays very well and will significantly increase your popularity, at least threefold."

Threefold?!

The blonde paused for a moment before continuing, "But if you're not comfortable with this kind of gig, it's your decision to decline. Just take some time to think about it."

Childe stares at the blonde supposedly lost in thought. True, he would likely be a fool to not sign a contract as big as this one.

Suddenly, Kaveh interrupts, declaring "If Childe doesn't want it, I'll take it! It sounds fun anyway." Childe winces; this is just another road to achieve his dream. Probably he shouldn't let it slip away.

"No, I'll take it," Childe said, closing his eyes while exhaling deeply. He just needed to mentally prepare himself for what was to come. "Don't worry, I'm just making sure I know what this job is."

"Good," Albedo nods in approval, closing his notebook and returning his phone to his pocket.

"The producer extends the invite directly to you anyway." The blonde shrugged indifferently, "We can only recommend Kaveh's interest if you decline, but they're probably going to say no."

Kaveh pouts upon hearing Albedo's statement. Well the T-Pop industry can be ruthless, driven solely by the pursuit of gaining interest and it's MHY Net we're talking about here. You don't need to see the numerous articles discussing their history of profit-driven shows. Yet, despite from that fact, they continue to thrive with their diverse range of programs. Can't deny that they're a genius.

Life can be unfair sometimes.

Childe turned his head, searching. "Anyone have a pen?"

No one responded as Kaveh resumed his conversation with Alhaitham, seemingly lost interest. While Kaeya and Diluc engaged in their own discussion.

"Use Albedo's," Zhongli replied, chin moving to point to the blonde.

"Ah," the blonde responded, his expression unchanged as he brought up the pen and handed it to the ginger. "Here you go."

Taking the pen, Childe strode over to the nearby flat surface stereo to sign the contract. No turning back now. He could read the rest of the schedule later.

As he finished signing, he handed the specific page of the contract to Albedo with his right hand, which the blonde accepted.

"Now that's done, that's all the briefing for today. Make sure you all rest well and eat properly," Albedo said, scanning each of them with his gaze before turning to leave.

"I still need to check up on some stuff with Neuvilette, so I'll take my leave," the blonde added, heading towards the door. He glanced back at them as he left, ensuring they were all accounted for. Before disappearing on his back as the door closed.

"Well, more work to do," Kaeya exclaimed with a shrug, his laughter sounding forced. Childe slumped down to the floor, deep in thought, his expression furrowed with a frown.

"Hah, seems like we're in for even busier times," Wriothesley remarked, a smirk playing on his lips as he glanced over at Childe.

"Well, my friend, best of luck with your 'marriage.' I could always gift you some of my tea as a congratulatory gesture," he added before crouching down, patting the ginger's shoulder with a smirk.

Childe let out a sigh, getting used to all of the teasing his groupmate gave him. Yet still felt a bit shocked and shaken by the situation. Guess he'll have to start binge-watching some episodes of WGM show before bed later.

Imagining what kind of person who would soon become his wife, Childe delves into the abyss of his mind.

I hope she's cute... .

"Lumine! Yanfei asked me to pass you this," Amber rushed into the cafeteria, approaching the blonde who was seated at her table, munching on some dango.

With her brunette hair in disarray, as if she had just sprinted down the hall, Amber appeared with a stack of papers clutched in her left hand. Lumine couldn't help but wonder; what could be so urgent?

"What's wrong? Sudden commission coming up?" the blonde asked, looking frazzled. She had just found some peace after a long shoot for Teyvat Tabloid.

"Lumi, you just landed a huge gig! But the interview shoot is tomorrow!" Amber exclaims, halting by her table, her hand slamming down emphatically.

"Here! Read this first though," she urged, handing Lumine the stack of papers. Lumine assumed it was the contract for the new gig she just received.

Her eyes widened at the mere title of the show, We Got Married. Lumine was familiar with the name; it had been quite popular lately, and she would occasionally watch it during her breaks, playing it on her dorm TV without much thought.

This is a massive opportunity where she will not only be paid for her performance but also receive an additional 7% of the revenue from the episodes she appears in. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to be featured on a show with 11 million subscribers?!

Speaking of marriage, the thought never came to Lumine's head before. It's a delicate subject for an idol. All her life has spent on catching up on his brother's success, Dainsleif. Four years ago, she and Aether decided to pursue careers as idols. Despite the fact that they were accepted in a separate agency.

That didn't make Lumine's heart falter. Her resolve remained unwavering. Leading her to focus on her own career, and this determination paid off with her winning many awards as both a soloist and actress.

Perhaps this show is just another way to even further enhance her career path.

Still, this contract doesn't state anything about her future husband though. They expect her to appear fresh, keeping the element of surprise untouched. There's no script involved.

"I thought they were joking when they acted like they didn't know who their partner would be," Amber said, settling into her seat in front of her.

"Huh," a look of amusement crossed Lumine's face. "I thought this show was scripted."

"Yeah, same here. I suppose that's why fans are buzzing with the hype," Amber remarked, shrugging and turning eagerly to the blonde.

Lumine continued on reading through the contracts and schedule, noting that the interview was scheduled for two p.m. tomorrow afternoon. Nothing wrong with hoping to meet her soon-to-be fake husband, right? After all, they'll be living together for a brief period.

Dating had never crossed her mind before, nor did it pique her interest. Probably she'd resign herself to growing old alone, and it's a safe pretend marriage show. No one would be privy to her true feelings. might be her sole chance to taste the typical teenage experience.

At least, even if it's make-believe, maybe I can feel love for the very first time.

"So," the brunette prompted, sliding a pen in front of the blonde, a clear hint. "Are you gonna do this?"

Other than her hard work that manages to helped her progress, Lumine doesn't like to follow the usual rules of the T-Pop industry. She detests the traditional standards expectations that idols shouldn't collaborate or interact with the opposite gender.

Why not surprise them yet again?

She grinned, her hands reaching for the pen Amber slid in front of her as she set down the contract. "You know what?"

Picking up the pen while opening the cap with a resounding pop, she quickly scribbled her signature. Then, with a smirk directed at the brunette, she declared,

"I'll call it dibs."
