Chapter Text
Pandora Fawn couldn’t believe it.
In all her years at Hogwarts- know-it-all Hermione Granger hadn’t once spoken a word to her. Not a passing ‘hello’ nor a greeting in class.
So when she came to her with a, well, quite frankly, a preposterous proposition she couldn’t help but laugh in her face. Only sobering up once she’d seen that very embarrassed look on the younger girls face.
She raised a perfectly manicured brow at the bushy-haired girl, “oh my, you’re serious.”
Hermione nodded her head in embarrassment, “yes.”
“And why would I do this for you?” Pandora questioned quizzically.
“Because-“ Hermione started. “You’re the only one who can.”
Scoffing, Pandora asked again. “What would I get out of this? Sounds like a waste of time.”
“Anything!” Hermione half shouted desperately before clearing her throat and speaking in a much softer tone, “Anything you’d like. I can do your homework for the rest of the year, next years too!”
Pandora rolled her eyes, “I make O’s in all my classes, I don’t need your help.”
“What about…” Hermione trailed off thoughtfully as Pandora sighed deeply.
“Look. Boys are assholes, that’s something every girl one day learns. They’ll toy with your heart and leave you for dead, you’ll move on.”
Hermione looked at the girl with tears pricking her eyes, “it was absolutely humiliating.”
Truly, Pandora felt bad for the girl. An entire group of Slytherin boys had made a bet to see who could make her fall in love first. Just like most things stupid boys do, they took everything too far.
Not only had they made up the cruel bet in the first place but they hadn’t the decency to end the joke privately within their little friend group. They publicly humiliated her in front of the entire school.
Hermione was a laughing stock, and the worst part, the immature teasing wasn’t even limited to Slytherin.
Every day Hermione had to walk past Mattheo Riddle, Theodore Nott, Tom Riddle- even Draco fucking Malfoy in the halls. Four boys barely a week ago she was confessing that she loved, that she couldn’t have possibly chosen between.
The bushy-haired girl had thought about it for days, curled up in her bed sobbing in complete and utter humiliation. Thought about how exactly she could get them back- make them suffer even the slightest bit of the humiliation she had gone through.
Then it came to her, like a click, and everything became perfectly clear what she had to do.
Pandora Fawn.
The most sought-after girl in all of Hogwarts, and it certainly helped that she was the most beautiful girl most of anyone had set eyes on.
The girl was intelligent, charming- ticked all those boxes every boy- and girl wanted.
Someone Hermione overheard a certain group of Slytherin boys talking about on multiple occasions.
Not to mention, she had left more than a few broken hearts along the way.
Pandora was perfect.
And she was perfect for the job.
But Pandora had more things to worry about than getting involved in some stupid, silly immature schoolgirl drama, for a girl she didn’t know, nonetheless.
“Humiliation only lasts as long as you let it bother you,” Pandora pursed her lips. “Sorry, I can’t help you.”
“That’s easy for you to say,” Hermione grumbled, thinking about how the girl had never been rejected by anyone much less by a boy, she thought about how she’d never been humiliated in such a manner- had her heart toyed with- but in the end Hermione accepted the girl's final decision.
Pandora glanced over the girl's shoulder as she’d turned to leave. Catching a glimpse of a head of familiar red hair before something suddenly clicked for her.
“Wait,” Pandora called absentmindedly, still looking over the girl's shoulder. “You’re friends with the twin's little brother right?”
“Ron?” Hermione questioned, confused.
“Yeah, sure, him,” she waved her off. “So you know Fred, right?”
“Yeah, we’re friends,” Hermione confirmed suspiciously.
“Friends?” Pandora raised a brow, looking back to the girl before shrugging the question off. “Look, let’s make a deal. I’ll twist, squeeze, then break every single Slytherin boy's heart that chewed you up and spat you out and in exchange you’ll do the same to Fred Weasley.”
“W-what?” Hermione stuttered.
“That’s it. That’s the cost of your little revenge.”
Hermione bit her lip nervously, staring straight into Pandora’s unwavering eyes.
“Deal.”
