Chapter Text
Adrien slowly opened his eyes and sighed as he forced himself to sit up on the bed, unraveling himself from the burrito of covers and blankets that he had previously wrapped himself up into. He grabbed his phone, turning it on only to notice the low battery power sign flashing up on the screen.
"Shit." He grunted before grabbing the charging cord and putting his phone on charge. He slowly got up and winced, ignoring the tinge in his stomach and stiffness in his legs. He trudged through the mess of a trash heap he called a room before reaching the door, opening it and squinting his eyes as the sunlight shone directly into his eyes.
He went to the kitchen, yawning slightly as he got himself something light. Maybe some cereal? He grabbed the box of cereal and a bowl from the cupboards, setting them down on the counter and pouring himself a serving. He then looked over at the fridge before opening it, grimacing as he grabbed the milk, uncapped it then smelled the contents.
He immediately dumped the spoiled milk into the sink. Fucking hell. He had just bought that not that long ago. Or.. maybe not that long ago. Who knows anymore, because well, he sure didn't know. He put the jug into the sink before he washed his hands, drying them on his shirt before grabbing the cereal and a spoon.
Dry cereal would be alright for now.
He sat down on the couch, turning on the TV and flipping through the channels to find something interesting to watch. He paused as he stopped on the news channel, which was currently airing on the current weather situation,
" Temperatures at an all-time high. Be careful of heat-related injuries. "
"Huh. Global warming, am I right?" He said out-loud before flipping to another channel, some interesting shows were airing on this one. He watched the shows as he ate his dry cereal. He was going to have to go to the store soon to get himself a new jug of milk. And maybe, just maybe, not waste it the next time.
He kicked his feet up onto the coffee table in front of the couch before shoving another bite of the cereal into his mouth. He paused for a second as he felt his organs fight back against him after practically starving himself for so long. He grumbled before setting the cereal down next to him and lying back, switching the channel again to a kids TV channel before trying to focus on that.
