"I really don't think this is a good idea, pups."
Taehyun and Kai look up at Jungkook with annoyance written all over their features. However, Beomgyu nods, looking extremely worried.
"Hyung's right. This looks really dangerous-"
"Shut up, pup-hyung, or go back to Yeonjun-hyung's nest," Kai spits, and Jungkook sighs at the way Beomgyu's bottom lip is trembling.
"Okay, okay, we don't need to fight. We just jump in and swim out straight away, got it?"
They were at Dead Wolf's Creek, where plenty of wolves came during summer to take a splash in the river. They were at a cliff that was notorious for jumping from.
However, it wasn't the safest thing to do, not at all. In-fact, to jump into Dead Wolf's Creek would consider you a 'daredevil' in many people's books. Quite a few wolves hadn't made it out alive.
Taehyun had suggested trying it when all the pups had gathered together during the monthly Pack Feast. Packs from all over the place joined and brought food they'd caught from the recurrent Pack Hunt that took place a few days in advance of the feast.
Felix and Jeongin from Chan's pack had boasted about how they'd got into an alpha nightclub last week without their hyungs spotting them. They said, as they'd probably be presenting soon, that they needed to have all the fun they could before submitting to their duties as an alpha, beta or omega.
Jungkook, who was passing by (all of his hyungs were conversing with other packs about boring stuff), began to listen in.
"W-well, we've done a lot of crazy stuff like that! Just last week, the three of us took on a rogue alpha and beat him!" Kai babbled.
"You were grounded in the nest last week, Kai," Beomgyu said meekly.
Kai huffed. "Shush, pup-hyung!"
Felix and Jeongin both laughed, and Jungkook could see how much the pups looked up to them. It was then Taehyun brought up the idea of going to Dead Wolf's Creek.
Jungkook, being the responsible alpha he is, had to step in.
"No, absolutely not," he said, and all jumped to look at him. "That's far too dangerous."
But Kai and Taehyun looked so devastated, that in the end, he reluctantly agreed to accompany them to the creek, just to make sure nothing went wrong.
It's nearly midnight now, it's getting cold, and they still haven't jumped yet. Felix and Jeongin have arrived and look bored.
"Okay, um, why don't I go first-"
"No." Jungkook grabs the back of Kai's jacket and heaves the pup behind him. "I'll go. I'm wearing trunks."
"Hyung-"
"You don't have to-"
"I do," Jungkook snaps, but he gives the pups a comforting look. "It's okay. Let Alpha make sure it's safe first."
Felix and Jeongin both scoff, saying they didn't have an alpha to accompany them when they did their dare, but Jungkook ignores them and strips off his clothes. He's glad he had the idea to put his trunks on beforehand.
He steps onto the cliff, gulping when he looks down. The water looks calm in the moonlight; there isn't a wave in sight. He'll be okay, he thinks.
Taking another step forward, Jungkook closes his eyes. His foot hovers over the edge, he's going to jump, he's going to jump. Next foot out, he's going to fall-
Wait, is he flying?
No, no, he's dangling nearly 10 metres over the water. By the scruff of his neck.
"Just what the fuck do you think you're doing?"
Oh, Taehyung sounds angry. Scratch that, he sounds livid, as if he could murder someone. Jungkook seriously hopes that someone isn't him.
Jungkook whines and squirms, but he's helpless with the hold Taehyung has on his scruff. Alpha is so mad.
"Taehyung-hyung-"
"Shut up, stupid pups."
The pups all take a step back. It was nothing like when Jungkook had gently scolded them when he'd overheard what they were saying about the dares. No, they look genuinely terrified now.
Taehyung doesn't let go of Jungkook's scruff. He keeps hold of him, rendering the younger alpha immobile, and Jungkook just whimpers.
Until he sees where his hyung is taking him. He knows what Taehyung's planning. Despite barely being able to feel anything, Jungkook does everything he can to struggle out of his hyung's grasp.
"Alpha, alpha, nooooo!"
But Taehyung acts like he can't hear him. He takes a seat on the log and settles the younger alpha over his knee. Without warning, he yanks Jungkook's trunks down to his ankles. The pup screeches.
"Do you know how many people have died jumping into that river!" Taehyung growls, peppering sharp swats all over the wriggling alpha's bottom. He keeps his free hand pressed firmly into Jungkook's scruffing area, so the alpha can't even kick away the pain.
Jungkook sobs at the fact all the pups are still there. They're seeing him be punished like a tiny pup, one that's much younger and littler than them.
"No, don't you all look away. I want you to see what's coming your way when I tell your packs."
At least the pups try to help him out.
"Hyung, please, it's our fault! He didn't even want to do it, Kai made him-"
"What the heck, Beomgyu?!"
"Quiet!" Taehyung rumbles, and Jungkook can smell the fear coming from the pups. "Your alpha has his own mind, and knows right from wrong. But if he's not grown up enough to say no to little puppies, then we have a problem."
Jungkook sobs, grasping uselessly at Taehyung's jeans in the hopes of being able to yank himself off his lap. But it's no use. He's exhausted.
The youngest alpha isn't even sure when the punishment ends. He's kept over Taehyung's knee for a long time. The alpha has the decency to at least redress him, probably because of how cold it's getting. He keeps his palm over Jungkook's scruff, and the alpha is feeling his vision go hazy.
Soon, he hears different voices. Taehyung removes his hand from his scruff for a second to reposition him, this time sitting Jungkook up, and the latter sees that the other pups' packmates have arrived.
Felix and Jeongin are in tears as Minho, their prime omega, chews them out, while Beomgyu, Taehyun and Kai are stared down severely by Soobin, until eventually, Beomgyu falls to his knees, apologising. The other two follow suit.
"I trust you all to deal with this appropriately," Taehyung warns, patting his pup's bottom. Jungkook sobs, pushing his face into his alpha's neck, hiding from the others but also seeking comfort.
Chan and Soobin both nod, bowing out apologies. Clearly, Taehyung is the dominant alpha in this situation.
"We promise, hyung. This will never happen again."
"Our pups will be dealt with accordingly."
Jungkook barely remembers the journey back to the pack house; he's so tired.
He's carried in by his scruff. Seokjin and Namjoon ask what's happened, but Taehyung shocks everyone by growling at them.
"How dare you-
"Joon, don't interfere. There's nothing we can do."
Jimin's lounging in his den, nesting for his upcoming heat, when Taehyung marches in. His attention flits from the almost red gaze in his alpha's eyes to the whining pup wriggling helplessly in his mate's hand.
Taehyung locks the door, ensuring no intruders can force their way in, and lays the pup over his mate's knee like an offering. Jungkook immediately begins to fuss, and the older alpha growls, once again placing his hand on the pup's scruff.
"Taehyung, what's wrong?" Jimin asks worriedly. He doesn't remove the kicking pup from his knee, and instead runs a gentle hand through his hair, looking at him in confusion.
Taehyung growls, quickly explaining what's happened in a low, rumbling voice. Jungkook whines when he feels Jimin's hand stiffen in his hair.
Almost immediately, he's bared again, and the pup attempts to escape in one final act of defiance. But his hyungs are in-control here, not him, certainly not him.
It's funny how Jimin always intercedes in Taehyung's punishments, nervous that the alpha may accidentally hurt the pup at some point, while his punishments are way harsher. Taehyung never gets mad, just fondly lets his omega take over, knowing that it's instinct for a dam to get overprotective of their pup.
The alpha watches calmly now as his omega effortlessly keeps their pup restrained over his knee, reminding him of his place, letting him know that he's not going anywhere except the nest.
Then his omega demands for a brush, and Taehyung retrieves it without a word. He feels slightly bad for his pup when he wails as the brush makes contact with his bottom, however the thought of what could have happened if he'd have jumped into the river sends anger shooting through him, and he simply observes his pup coolly, not reacting to his cries.
When the punishment is over, when Jungkook is slumped in pure submission over Jimin's knee, Taehyung takes his hand off the pup's scruff.
"Alpha?" Jimin chirps out when Taehyung makes a beeline for the bathroom. The latter just turns around and gently tells his omega that he's running them a bath.
He watches dotingly for a second as Jimin croons, leaning down to scent their pup.
For a second, when he bends down to retrieve their pup, Jimin bares his teeth at him. However, a warning rumble settles the matter swiftly, and Jimin whines, baring his neck.
He knows his omega is just acting on pure instinct, the desire to protect their helpless little pup strong, but Taehyung needs to remind him that he's Jungkook's sire, too.
They both undress, and Jimin gazes hungrily at his alpha. Taehyung smirks, but a whine from their pup curbs any budding arousal. As amazing as his omega smells, as gorgeous as he looks, now is not the time.
He quickly pulls Jungkook's trunks off the rest of the way, and then hands the pup to their omega, settling into the bath first. Jimin follows, resting between his alpha's legs, and then settles Jungkook between his own.
The pup cries out when his red, burning bottom hits the water, but Jimin is quick to soothe him, cooing into his ear. Taehyung just watches them adoringly, lying back against the porcelain, his body caging both his mate and pup protectively.
Jungkook can barely hold himself up, but it's okay; Jimin's looking after him. He washes the pup gently, cooing as he fusses cutely, and then suddenly, he whisks himself and the pup to the opposite side of the bathtub. Their larger than necessary tub is more than handy.
Taehyung instinctively growls at the loss of his omega and pup between his knees, sitting up briskly, water spilling down both sides of the tub. His eyes flash at the giggle coming from his mate - was he issuing a chase right here in the bathtub? - but then Jimin holds up a washcloth lathered in soap.
"Time to wash you too, Alpha."
Exhaling with a laugh, Taehyung allows his omega to tend to him. His pup is tucked securely against Jimin's neck, though he peeks out curiously every few moments, watching tiredly as his sire is washed. Taehyung lets out a comforting rumble.
Taehyung washes Jimin then, and he has to restrain himself from mounting his omega right then and there with their pup in full view. Jimin croons yearningly as his alpha takes care of him.
They're back in the nest soon enough, dry and clean, all ready for bed. Jimin slips on a satin nightie while Taehyung throws on a pair of sleep pants. Jungkook is over Taehyung's knee once again to have his bottom lotioned, and the alpha pumps out his strong, buttery sandalwood scent when his pup begins to kick.
He knows Jungkook isn't too thrilled being reminded of his place, especially as an alpha. His bid to reject comfort is a last, desperate attempt to hold onto any alpha strength he can. Taehyung just chuckles fondly and pats Jungkook's bottom, settling his gaze on his omega, who's waiting patiently to nurse their pup.
"My pup is not leaving my sight again," Jimin growls possessively. Jungkook whimpers against his breast, but the omega just shushes him gently. They're not mad at him, but at the pups who had convinced him to do something dangerous.
Taehyung nods. He's lying down, propping himself up with his elbow, cheek against his palm and legs spread nonchalantly. "Their alphas and omegas are dealing with them properly. They should have known better to pressure him; he's only little."
Jimin nods in agreement while Jungkook whines again, suckling indignantly. Nobody had pressured him at all! He was the one who came up with the idea of going with the pups for their safety!
A knock on the door immediately has both the alpha and omega growling. Jimin cups Jungkook's head protectively while Taehyung shoots up, positioning himself at the foot of the nest. He lets out a thundering, deadly growl that could put Namjoon to shame. Jungkook whimpers but Jimin looks lovestruck, crooning adoringly at his alpha's display of protection.
"Are you all okay in there?!" Yoongi's frantic voice calls, and Taehyung growls again, as if he can't even recognise his packmate.
Yoongi lets out a few curses. A few familiar scents join Yoongi's, and Taehyung looks livid now. The alpha stalks over to the locked door, but he's so deep in his instincts that he can't even find the lock, just fumbles with it furiously.
"Okay, we need to go. There's no reasoning with either of them like this," Seokjin orders, and soon, the scents are gone.
Taehyung doesn't move from the door, just watches it with a fiery glare.
Jungkook unlatches to see if he can call for his other hyungs, but Jimin shushes him, laying back with the pup on his chest. Immediately, Jungkook's eyes begin to flutter shut.
"Don't worry, baby boy; Alpha will keep us safe."

"Ohh, you're so warm, Omega," Taehyung coos, stroking Jimin's hair off his clammy forehead. The omega's heat had started the morning after Taehyung had locked them away from the rest of the pack.
Thankfully, the alpha and omega hadn't done what they'd usually do during Jimin's heat. Jungkook flushes just thinking about it.
He'd tried calling for his other hyungs when Taehyung had taken Jimin for a cool shower, however the hyungs had barricaded the door! Hoseok had apologetically said it was too risky to give Taehyung any chances to maul them.
When Taehyung spotted his pup by the door, he'd promptly deposited him back into the nest. Since then, Jungkook hasn't been alone at all.
The pack is nice enough to leave meals outside for them, removing the barricade for a short time, but Jungkook is always held in Jimin's lap during that time for a dam/pup scenting session. It's impossible to turn his head away from his hyung's warm, omegan scent. He feels so, so safe, and always cries when his hyung eventually pulls away, gently ending the sessions.
They're in the bathroom now. Jimin is showering under cool water. Originally he'd wanted a bath, however realised he'd probably be too hot, so Taehyung's getting in instead.
There's a plush sitting area in the corner of the bathroom, where Jungkook is currently residing while the alpha and omega get clean.
When Taehyung removes his clothes, however, Jungkook's jaw drops. The alpha's already huge knot has increased in size, a natural response to being around his omega in heat.
The pup squeaks furiously, his cheeks bright pink, but Taehyung thinks it's just because he's missing his sire and dam, and settles the pup in the bath with him.
Despite the humiliation of being treated more like a tiny pup than an alpha, Jungkook secretly adores being doted on so closely. He can fuss around as much as he wants and kick out all that pent up alpha fury, be fed as much as he desires, and gets to sleep between his alpha and omega every night, feeling very protected.
He flexes his very toned arms in the mirror, briefly deciding that he'll have to challenge Taehyung sometime in the future. Although he feels very much like a pup when he's around the older alpha, there's still the desire to dominiate swimming around.
Who knows? Maybe Taehyung would be the one over Jungkook's knee one of these days, calling him 'alpha'?
The pup bites his lip. It doesn't sound or feel right, not at all; in-fact it makes Jungkook feel icky...but that's his duty as an alpha, isn't it?!
On the fifth day, they're all beginning to feel more like themselves again. Although Taehyung doesn't open the door, as he's not totally sure his mate and pup are safe just yet, he apologises to his hyungs. Namjoon tells him they're going to be having a long chat once they're out, and Jungkook's eyes widen when Taehyung cowers like a little pup.
He's laying down in the nest while Taehyung and Jimin go to take a shower together; finally, they've stopped demanding he be with them 24/7.
His phone starts ringing and he answers it promptly - Beomgyu is video calling him.
"Hyung, hyung, you weren't in too much trouble, were you?!"
Jungkook sighs but gives his dongsaeng a soothing look. "It wasn't too bad," he says calmly. Beomgyu nods fervently. "What about you?"
"Ohh, well if you thought Soobin-hyung was mad, Yeonjun-hyung really did look like he was gonna kill us," the younger explains. "We haven't been allowed to leave the nest since Friday night!"
Jungkook sighs. "We're in the same boat, then."
"Felix and Jeongin too. And you know what?! They didn't even go to the alpha nightclub after all."
Groaning, it dawns on Jungkook that they've all been punished for nothing. He's going to be having a stern word when he sees Chan's pups again.
Although, he doesn't know if he wants to. He's sure none of the pups will forget his session over Taehyung's lap anytime soon.
"You took your punishment so well, hyung," Beomgyu says seriously, as if he can read Jungkook's mind. Jungkook just stares at him. "Honestly, I barely lasted a second before breaking down. But Taehyun and Kai were the exact same. Maybe they'll stop calling me 'pup-hyung' now."
Jungkook laughs then, and so does Beomgyu. A submissive look crosses the pup's face as he glances off camera however, and then suddenly, the screen goes black.
"Dam said no phones," a teasing voice coos. Jungkook immediately recognises it to be Yeonjun.
"W-wait, Omega-hyung. Sorry, sorry!" And then, the call ends.
Jungkook giggles, setting his phone down. Taehyung and Jimin join him, and Jungkook eagerly bares his neck, allowing them to scent him.
"Right, pup, let's go see hyungs," Taehyung coos, and Jungkook stands up with them.
For the first time in days, the lock is unbolted. Jungkook looks back to the nest one last time before he leaves, sighing sadly.
Maybe they could stay for just a little longer...?
But then Jimin chirps at him, and Taehyung nuzzles at his neck, and he realises it will all be fine. They can come back later.
For now, it's time to get back to normality.
