Work Text:
Marinette was looking at Juleka and she couldn’t help but notice Kagami was also looking over at the girl. “Have you met Juleka yet?” She asked and Kagami shook her head. The only thing Kagami could do was keep looking at the taller girl. “Kagami,” when Marinette’s voice reached the other girl’s ears, Kagami tried to pay attention to Marinette without looking away. When the blue-haired girl realized what Kagami was trying to do, she couldn’t help the giggle that fell from her lips. When Kagami turned her head at the sound of the giggle, Marinette had a feeling what she was going to ask.
“Can you…” Kagami took a moment to pause and think about how to word her question. She didn’t want to sound rude towards her friend.
“I don’t mind introducing you to Juleka,” Marinette spoke up, having guessed correctly what Kagami had wanted to ask her. Marinette waited until Kagami recovered her bearings and once she was ready, Marinette approached Juleka, who gave the two a small smile.
“Juleka, this is my good friend, Kagami,” Marinette told Juleka, who found herself staring at the other girl. Kagami tried to ignore the burn on her cheeks, knowing she couldn’t back down now. She had asked Marinette for help and now that she was getting it, she wasn’t going to chicken out. Besides, she was a Tsurugi, and people with the Tsurugi last name didn’t run away from their crushes, no matter how much she wanted to.
“Nice to meet you,” Juleka sent Kagami a small smile and even though Kagami knew she needed to be careful about expressing her emotions outwardly, she couldn’t help but feel her cheeks burn even hotter than ever before.
“Nice to m-meet you too,” Kagami didn’t want to scare her off so she didn’t try to smile. However, she didn’t have to as both Marinette and Juleka noticed the sparkle in her eyes and that conveyed more than enough emotion both girls needed.

It wasn’t until lunchtime that Marinette knew Kagami was going to think about how many times she had been imperfect. “I’ve made two mistakes and I’m not supposed to make mistakes,” Marinette allowed the girl to vent, knowing that she understood how strict her mother was. Marinette had seen it first hand and that was why she always wanted to make sure Kagami had a stress-free school life. Although, I’m worrying her by running off to be a superhero. Marinette thought, feeling guilty for still giving the other girl stress but she knew Kagami would understand should she ever tell her about being Ladybug. “Juleka is cute,” Marinette smiled at the words, knowing Kagami was doing things at the pace she wanted. “You think she would want to go on a date with me sometime?” Kagami asked.
“Keep talking to her. You never know what surprises life will give you,” Marinette told Kagami, who gave her a shy smile.
“Thank you, Marinette,” she responded and Marinette grinned back as her answer.
