“Heya, sis.” Moon smiled widely, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. Even before he spoke again Earth could tell he wasn’t… Moon. He was, physically, but not mentally. “Sorry you’re going to be collateral in all of this.”
Earth almost laughed, was he serious? “All right… be… before this I wasn’t sure if I was able to forgive you again. If I even had a chance.” She shook her head, her dirtied hair brushing her back out of its ponytail.
She glanced over at where Bloodmoon and Ruin were, even Ruin flinched at the comment. Earth didn’t know how to feel about that, maybe he wasn’t irredeemable? Or she could just be overthinking the small facial expression.
He was the one who killed Solar, he was the one responsible for the fact she was trapped here and why Monty was hurt.
She shook her head again, this time just to clear her thoughts.
Moon gave another smile, a bit smaller this time. He held up his hand to Bloodmoon, palm first from a good few feet away.
It took a moment after Ruin looked horrified for Earth to realized he was about to blast Star Power.
“I’m sorry, Earth.” Moon repeated quietly.
The sound of a loud explosion shook the large room, a stalactite fell from the ceiling of the large caved out area.
Earth didn’t notice she still had her eyes open until she blinked, even though her eyes were open she saw nothing but black. For a moment she thought she’d turned off for a long second but even that didn’t make sense. When she was unconscious she went to her beach house… this wasn’t unconsciousness.
Earth winced as a loud ringing sound came into her mind.
A robotic voice spoke up, “Star Power detected.”
BeAeeeEeeEEeep
“File 8462-55-Delta-Gamma-4.”
BEEP
BEEP
“Activate.”
A searing pain stabbed her chest, like someone plunged pure fire in it. The cold metal binding her wrists released themselves. She grit her teeth hard enough to hear it as she landed on her feet and heeled over.
The ringing in her eyes didn’t waver or quiet down even a little bit.
Before shutting off from system overload she heard Puppet’s voice from somewhere in front of her.
“Fuck…”
