Work Text:
Jisoo has always lived in her own bubble.
Never spoken out of turn, never talked to strangers and never played around. That's just how she was, being a secluded art major.
Seokmin's bubble was probably the size of a hot air balloon in order to fit everything she liked inside of it.
She loved to have fun, play games, practice with her team-mates, drink and overall live life to the fullest. That's just how she was as an eccentric musical theatre major and the ace of the univerity's baseball team.
It's safe to say they have never crossed paths before. At least, according to Jisoo.
Seokmin, on the other hand, has seen Jisoo around campus a multitude of times. Almost enough to form a tiny "hall-way" crush on her.
This "crush" amplified ten fold when one day Seokmin forgot her wallet and couldn't pay for her drink in the university's resident coffee shop. Embarrassingly enough, Jisoo, in line behind her, decided to kill two birds with one stone: paying for both Seokmin's drink and her own.
Seokmin remembers that day as if it was some cruel endless nightmare her brain decided to create in order to tell her that she was in actuality not a cool sports player, but a big fat loser.
"Next time, please check your bag before you leave your house. Watching you dig through your bag pretending that your wallet was buried in there was just hard to see."
Seokmin felt her face redden immediately, flustered (and horrifyingly ashamed) at the comment thrown at her paired with the beautiful smile Jisoo shot at her. It was like salt to a wound, but Seokmin could never compare Jisoo's smile to salt. It was beautiful. Her bunny teeth really tied the knot on securing Seokmin's first ever girl crush.
Jisoo could really care less.
All she ever thought about were her deadlines and whether Jeonghan was alive or not. Which, if pondered in a figurative sense, it would be never. After her encounter with Seokmin, she walked over to the table Jeonghan sat at, face planted in her hands.
"Drink the water first, you look like you need it." deadpans Jisoo, already feeling annoyed from having to pay for a strangers drink. She knows she didn't have to, but, it made her ego feel slightly better knowing she saved someone from financial crisis.
"Jisoooooo!! Ah, my head hurts so much... could you make it better?" whined Jeonghan. Jisoo sits down and stared at her face, now painted with a pair of puppy eyes and puckered lips.
"Would you like me to hit your head?" Jisoo replies softly, with true malice hidden in her tone. You couldn't tell because her eyes crinkled into a soft crescent moon shape--it would fool anyone else but not Jeonghan. She huffs and drinks the water provided by Jisoo.
"So mean..."
"Who told you to stay out until 3.a.m. again?" scolds Jisoo, brain already done with the conversation.
"You were the one who told me that we should meet other people!" exclaims Jeonghan, body fully lifted from the table as she drinks the water.
Of course she was going to bring up the break-up to excuse her actions... Yoon Jeonghan was certainly a specimen Hong Jisoo would never forget. The reason why Jisoo even broke up with Jeonghan was because she never saw it go anywhere. After having been friends since middle school, she had more seen Jeonghan as her really close friend whom she sometimes did gay shit with. Both of them didn't see a problem with that.
Jisoo rolled her eyes and unwrapped her straw, stabbing in her drink roughly which was purposefully done to fully wake Jeonghan up, "When I said meet other people, I meant in a normal way. There's a reason why dating apps exist!"
"You're the only one for me Jisooooo..." crys Jeonghan, hands reaching out for her face.
Jisoo raised her hand to mock hitting Jeonghan, who cowered and laughed, "Ahh! I'm joking! I'm serious!" Jisoo smirked and pulled out her sketchbook in order to finish brainstorming a prompt given to her by her art professor. The main reason why she even cared to come was because the café vibes gave her a slight boost of inspiration.
"So why did you call me here? I know if you just wanted me to take care of you I would've seen a passed out Jeonghan on my couch." impassively says Jisoo, eyes focused on the sketch she was curating in front of her.
Jeonghan giggles and moves closer to Jisoo, planting her chin on her hands, "Well... I kinda found someone..."
Jisoo looked up, eyes wide and ready to disregard her sketch to pay attention to Jeonghans story, "Seriously?! Tell me everything! Who is it?"
"Her name is Seungcheol and she's on the baseball team! She's soooo cute Jisoo... I seriously want to eat her up-"
"Okay, lets not get side tracked... I'm not interested in hearing your sexual fantasies in a café. How did you two meet?"
Jeonghan then went on about how she met Seungcheol at Soonyoung's party, how they talked, exchanged numbers, then played drinking games with their friends which resulted in Jeonghan getting piss drunk which is why she's here recounting the events with a slight daze and slur to Jisoo. But, she really couldn't believe it, she was so happy for Jeonghan! She finally found someone who could match her. Someone who seemed like they could compliment her personality so well albeit tbheir characteristics not sounding even near similar from the story Jeonghan recounted to her.
"Oh, right! I also met her teammate, Seokmin, and her birthday is in two days. She's gonna have this huuuge birthday bash and invited me! She said she didn't mind if I brought a plus one because according to her words, the more the merrier!"
Jisoo's eyebrows furrowed and she slightly grimaced--Jeonghan noticed her facial expression change and whined, "Jisooooo, you really need to start getting out more. I promise I'll leave whenever you need to and I'll even follow you around so you don't get lonely!" Lies.
Not in a bad way, of course. The last time Jeonghan promised her that, though, Jisoo had to scower an entire party full of drunk people and drag Jeonghan off a billiard table which she happened to get too attached to while Jisoo awkwardly stood in the kitchen helpfully delivering water to some people who entered the kitchen to sober up. She should've gotten paid with the amount of dui's she prevented.
Nevertheless, she sighed and slowly nodded, it could really help her to find some more inspiration anyway. People have a lot of thoughts and the drunker they are, weirdly the more sophisticated they get.
----
It was the night of February 18th and Jisoo really couldn't lie to herself, she was extremely nervous.
First of all, she doesn't even know who this 'Seokmin' person is, and second of all, she does not know what to wear.
"Jisoo are you ready? We're going in about... 15 minutes. Seungcheolie is gonna pick us up!"
Seungcheolie? Were they that acquainted with already? There finally came a day where Jisoo would thirdwheel someone. Willingly.
"Uh, actually could you come in? I really don't know what to wear..." mutters Jisoo, still looking at her closet with frustration.
The door to Jisoo's door opens and Jeonghan looks amazing. She's in a black tube top layered underneath a slightly yellow washed jean vest, paired with a jean tube skirt that had white lace frills on the bottom, making Jisoo feel really embarrassed.
She still hadn't put anything on, only in her matching underwear she bought on sale.
"Aw, Jisoo... what are your options?"
Jisoo moves aside to reveal the very limiting closet choices she has to Jeonghan, who just sighs and begins to walk to Jisoo's closet. She digs through every single dress Jisoo has, from revealing, to dresses she wears to church--ultimately deciding on a low-cut sleek silk mid-length dress and throws it to Jisoo.
"That with red lipstick, and you're set. Let's meet outside in 5, okay?~" says Jeonghan in a sing-song voice, waving her hand behind her as she walks out of Jisoo's room.
Jisoo stands there stunned, but mainly confused. Why did Jeonghan choose such a classy yet sexy outfit? Wasn't this just a simple birthday bash? Putting everything aside, she doesn't complain and does as told, she was the one who asked for Jeonghan's advice anyway.
After putting on the dress, she slightly curls her hair and puts on red lipstick for the final touch. She looks in the mirror for a final check and wow, Jeonghan really knows what she's doing. It's simple, yet elegant--hugging her curves and complimenting her body in all the right ways. The slight curl of her hair accompanied with a deep, red lip looks beguiling on her. Sex on heels, as they say.
She walks out and Jeonghan turns around from their couch, looking up from her phone and whistles, "Jisoo... you look gorgeous. I'm amazing, right?"
Jisoo smiles and goes to put on her shoes, "Yes, yes, you're so knowledgable and amazing, Jeonghannie," Jisoo says, grabbing the keys after she sees Jeonghan stand up. They both walk out of the apartment and are greeted with Seungcheol rolling down her window and yelling, "Hey, Yoon Jeonghan!! Over here!" She waves her hand terrifyingly fast, with a big grin on her face.
Jeonghan quickly runs to the passenger seat and goes to make loud obnoxious kiss noises which with no doubt was sounded to annoy Jisoo.
Groaning, she opens the backseat and enters the car, immediately slapped with the sight of Jeonghan pinching Seungcheol's cheeks, saying the worst baby-talk known to women.
Feeling heavily uncomfortable and distraught, she greets Seungcheol before plopping in her air-pods and resting against the window. Jeonghan notices this and stops her flirting, now paying full attention to Jisoo.
"Jisoo-ya, why are you acting so cold? You haven't even asked me who Seokmin was or what she looks like!" exclaims Jeonghan, body resting on the centre console of Seungcheols car. Seungcheol's eyes widen at Jeonghan, as if she knew something that Jisoo didn't. Taking out her air-pods, Jisoo hums.
"Well, maybe because... I don't know, it doesn't matter?" confronts Jisoo, staring straight into Jeonghan's eyes.
To which, she blows a raspberry and turns back, facing front. "What a shame, she has honey skin and large muscles. Your type, right?"
Jisoo flushes, rushing to put on her air-pods while Seungcheol looks even more shocked, mouth hanging open. The last thing Jisoo sees is Jeonghan shutting Seungcheol's jaw and planting a kiss on her lips, making Jisoo look out the window.
----
Yeah... she should've never accepted this invitation.
Jeonghan actually did end up keeping her promise in almost the worst way possible.
All she ended up doing was getting Jisoo tipsy. Which was a terrible idea because they both appointed her for calling the taxi back home.
After drinking a bottle and a half of soju, Jisoo immediately left to the kitchen to sober up, leaving Jeonghan with Seungcheol to do god knows what.
Stumbling into the kitchen, she bumps into someones soft chest.
"My bad, I'm kind of drunk..." Jisoo says, looking up at the unknown person, if that's how you can even classify the person glued to the ground in front of her right now. They're... terribly red. Almost so red that Jisoo worried that they're absolutely wasted beyond no return.
"Are you... ok?" Jisoo asks, wholeheartedly concerned.
The person in front of her yelps, fumbling and quickly moves to give Jisoo water and pulls her out of the doorway.
"Oh. Thanks, I guess," Jisoo says, opening the water and bringing it to her lips to chug down.
"No problem at all! Uh, what's your name?" The person asks nervously. Jisoo finishes half of the water which sobers her up enough to be able to stand up and look at who she's talking to, and... wow.
To say that this person was her type was an understatement. She was... she was perfect. Sweet-looking with a strong jaw-line, beautiful nose and warm smile? Sign her up.
Jisoo stares a bit longer, letting the beautiful scene last before introducing herself, and the girl absolutely lights up. "I'm Seokmin!" She exclaims, with Jisoo smiling back at her with glee. She was just so adorable. Jisoo slowly took in Seokmin's outfit, baggy jeans and a baseball jersey complimented by her short wavy hair. Jisoo was just in awe. Jeonghan knew what she was talking about, huh? Yeah. Seokmin was her type. Heavily. She couldn't even deny it. Where had she been all her life? Assignments would've been so much more easier to get rhough.
"Ah wait, you're the birthday girl, aren't you? Happy birthday! I'm so sorry I didn't bring a gift. Actually, I was invited by Jeonghan," Jisoo says, giving a slight pout to gratify her forgiveness, hoping it would allow her a little bit of a chance. Jeonghan has reminded her multiple times that her pouts are killer. Seokmin quickly shakes her head, "No it's totally fine! I wasn't really expecting anything from anyone anyways," she says, chuckling. Her arms raised to scratch the back of her head, which was when Jisoo definitely noticed the arms. Those honey coloured, muscled arms. She was hooked. She'll remember to be extra grateful on Sunday.
And oh, Jisoo could listen to her laugh all day. It was as if her voice would leave her body and enter Jisoo's--it was just so pleasing to listen to.
Jisoo continues to smile and begins to examine Seokmin further, she began to notice the veins that travelled along Seokmin's forearm and how wide her shoulders were. Jeonghan did say she needed to put herself out there more and the longer she stared at Seokmin the more attracted she was. Slowly, she brings her manicured hand up to Seokmin's hair.
She moves closer, slightly tousling with the naturally curvy locks. Seokmin looks more flushed than she did before, Jisoo seeing how pursed her lips were getting. Seokmin was downright adorable and once Jisoo latches on to her, not even the world's strongest magnet could take her away.
"I'd feel really terrible if I didn't give you a gift, Seokmin. How about one we'll both enjoy?" teases Jisoo, staring up at Seokmin with her head slightly tilted, arm slightly pressing her boobs out. So what, Jisoo knows that they're fantastic and no way was she going to miss out on the opportunity.
Seeing Seokmin's reaction, though, definitely meant an astounding yes.
-----
Seokmin's back hit the bathroom door and was immediately met with Jisoo's soft lips, both of their lips slowly moving against each others. Seokmin's hands move down to grab at Jisoo's waist, squeezing, making Jisoo moan into the kiss. The bathroom was slightly cramped, too. Enhancing the overall lust of this interaction. Jisoo felt so warm under Seokmin's hold.
To think that Seokmin would be making out with her newly founded crush at her birthday party seemed like a dream come true. She would've never thought she would meet the Jisoo that she had constantly seen around campus with a pencil in hand. She was already pretty from afar, but up close? It was so unfair. Her beauty was out of this world. Seokmin thought she would turn into a statue when Jisoo bumped into her, and now, she quite literally had her in her own hands. She can finally tell her friends that she gets game off-field too.
Their lips continued to move rhythmically onto one another until Seokmin pulled away to attack Jisoo's neck, littering her canvas with red bruises. Jisoo whines and Seokmin's grip on her waist loosened, moving down to her hips. The dim lighting and the warmth of Jisoo's body slightly made her lose her mind, wanting to just take Jisoo in the bathroom instantly.
Seokmin then lifted Jisoo easily and placed her on the bathroom counter to hopefully take things further because honestly, she could hardly wait.
"Haa, you're better than I thought," Jisoo sighs out. Seokmin lands one more kiss on her lips before asking, "What's that supposed to mean?"
Jisoo giggles, "You just look so pure. Although... seeing you now, you look like you want to eat me whole." Jisoo wasn't wrong. Seokmin's eyes had darkened intensely ever since they had entered the bathroom, sporting the same face of concentration just like the ones she'd have whenever she would play baseball. Jisoo might just need to start picking up an interest in the sport after seeing this look on Seokmin's face--damn, was it hot. Seokmin responds by grabbing the back of Jisoo's neck softly and beginning to move her lips against hers once more. The air feels hot, both of them content with the current level of sensuality.
Just as Seokmin begins to move her hand down to Jisoo's dress strap, preparing to strip her, a frantic knock is heard on the door.
"Who's in there?! I really really really need to pee!!!"
Kwon Soonyoung.
Seokmin and Jisoo let go and hurriedly fix their outfits to look (barely even) presentable and open the door, "Oh finally- oh, I see what's going on here... Sorry guys!" Seokmin and Jisoo awkwardly shuffle out of the bathroom to give Soonyoung space. With the bathroom door closing, they both look at each other and begin to laugh.
"You look really cute with that shade of red on your face," Jisoo says, giggling. Seokmin makes a noise of confusion and pulls her phone out, faced with red lipstick absolutely smothered around her lips. How did she not notice that in the mirror? She flushes and look at Jisoo's crinkled eyes from how hard she's laughing. Seokmin grins and kisses Jisoo's cheek, which immediately stops her laughter.
It's Jisoo's turn to be a bit shy now and she distracts herself by grabbing Seokmin's phone to input her number inside, "Hey, uh, I... I honestly think you're really cute and would love to go out with you."
Fireworks play in Seokmins mind.
"Of course! Uh, I'll text you! Right now actually!" declares Seokmin, voice slightly wavering with how her heart can't seem to calm down.
Seokmin grabs her phone again to open Jisoo's contact, making her laugh again--causing Seokmin to grin even wider. This was probably the best birthday Seokmin has ever had.
