“Show me She Ra again” Catra laughed as she watched Double Trouble reenact their interpretation of the said hero through her monitor, pulling another shriek out of her.
“Do you miss her in any way?” The shapeshifter asked in their usual smooth manner.
“I miss fighting her, seeing her in that pathetic princess outfit and getting the upper hand on her since she's too wuss to actually kill me” the magiccat responded with a shrug as the lizard grin grew wider.
“Well you're in luck, I just heard she's going back out the woods to hunt down the bot that is her friend Bow, alone. By her request.”
“And how do you know for sure she’ll be alone?” The force captain questioned, with a raised eyebrow and narrowed eyes at her screen.
“Well she wasn't allowed to on her own but you know her, she’ll never follow the rules. Thought you might want a nice reunion with your Adora~” they laughed as the woman’s device beeped, a message by the spy of the princess’s possible coordinates, the ones she inquired in the meeting and basically begged to go to.
“I’ll think about it..” a lie, she already has her mind made up. Hanging up the call as Catra walked out the hideout, jumping onto the tallest tree and transitioning to the coords given to her.
Typical Adora, she had reached the coordinates to see Adora, in her normal form, walking in the woods with her sword cautiously held out. It brought a smile to her face, seeing the face that once held so much comfort for her, but that comfort is gone now, replaced by anger, pain and a lot more emotion that she chose to disclose and suppress.
“Hey Adora~” she purred, sitting up at the tree branch, watching as the blonde eyes widened and turned her back to a Catra who jumped at her, straddling her waist, claws battling the Sword Of Protection.
“Catra.” Adora grunted, her back pushed against the ground.
“Missed me? Ow!” Catra yelped when a booted foot crashed into her stomach, forcing her off.
She watched as Adora screamed out the words she considered as slurs, a blinding flash of light accompanying it as her princess form now stood before her.
“Please Catra. I don't want to fight you.” She pleaded, holding the sword up in a defense position.
“And why is that? Think you're too good for me? You didn't bat an eye during the battle of Brightmoon.” She smirked through all the emotions that she pushed down, a pit of guilt forming in her stomach when she watched Adora’s face conforming in guilt.
“I had to, you're my enemy now Catra..you know it yourself.”
“You chose this path yourself, Adora.”
“Because it was the right thing, I know you're not a bad person Catra. But I know there's no point in pleading for you to stay.” The said woman’s ears pinned behind her as her tail lashed out angrily before she pounced on the taller woman again, taking her off guard, putting them back in the same position as before.
“YOU WERE THE ONE WHO LEFT ME. LEFT ME FOR A BUNCH OF PEOPLE YOU MET ONLY A FEW HOURS, FOR THE SIDE WE WERE FIGHTING AGAINST!”
“BECAUSE THE HORDE IS EVIL, I NEVER WANTED TO LEAVE YOU CATRA!” The princess watched as her former best friend's face, furrowed in anger, flared even more at her words before a claw came flying down at her face, narrowly missing her eye.
Pushing Catra off of her as she attempted to gain her footing as the woman growled at her before going again, half her punches and claws missing while the other half landed on the target.
“Catra please stop..” the magiccat was so blinded with rage that she couldn't even process anything that was happening, her body moving on its own accord.
The sword was eventually out of the woman’s grasp, pinned to the floor as she continued to attack her, so ensnared with rage that she couldn't stop herself until it was too late.
When she could finally regain her barings, her hands and claws, coated in blood as the 8 foot tall princess was absent, all that was left was Adora, her face bloodied and battered, covered in bruises and bumps as she coughed up blood in attempts to breathe.
“Adora..?” Catra’s hands began to shake, the blood dripping off of it onto her thighs, that remained paralyzed on the other woman’s chest.
“C-ca..tra..” her steel blue eyes, all beaten up, stared at her own mismatched eyes, with sorrow, guilt, disappointment and so much more emotions that one couldn't begin to comprehend.
And just like that, she clutching Adora in her arms, cradling her almost lifeless eyes in her arms, tears painted her face as she pleaded.
“F-fuck no no no, Adora! Please, stay with m-me, I never m-meant to..” stuttering over words as she pleaded, begging for her to stay , shaking her gently as her breathing got weaker and weaker.
“Adora..? Adora!” She sobbed harder, bowing her head down in the woman’s chest, hugging her so hard like she would disappear if she were to let go.
“Im sorry..im sorry p-please..Adora” she looked for the sword, fumbling with holding onto the almost dead woman and grabbing the sword, moving it into her grasp as she beg for her to chant the words she once hated to hear but now would do anything to hear.
“P-please..say the words! You can save yourself right?! I c-cant..please Adora..” her tears trailed down her cheeks more and more as her nose got puffier, her pupils contracting as she watched the woman she had ever considered her best friend slowly lose her life by her hands.
“For..the honor of..g-gray..”
“Adora? Adora?!”
