This is a preface for a work in progress fic idea, feedback welcome.

The old ones had created or more accurately adjusted many species of when they arrived on this world. From the Dragons to the Elves to the Ogers and Men. Some areas were left mostly untouched by the old one before thier polar gates broke and brought the foul powers of Chaos into this world and gave them a foothold. In Cathay a mighty Dragon took a wife from the moon who was said to be a shapshifter of great power and wisdom.
Similarly in the islands near Nipon another moon goddess came down and established a line of her own. Though she would later be driven to madness after eating the fruit of the god tree which increased her power in a attempt to end conflict in her new lands. Unfortunately she latter went mad and was slain by her sons to stop her rampage. Later on her eldest child used his inherited power to grant the people of his land the ability to wield the elements and other esoteric power with ease. For those of the old world this would be perplexing as humans generally can't use more than one element safely.
The reason for this difference is the Chakra network that all those blessed by the Sage and thier Descendants have allows them to safely learn the power of them winds and even produce them internally though in a format more similar to earthbound magic then the casting of the elves. As a side effect of this and thier regular intermingling with the Yokai, they are naturally very attuned to the world and borderline anathema to Dar, the twisted mingling of the winds favored by the forces of ruin.
Especially those of the Sages own blood, particularly the Clan Uzumaki. Made up of shamans, omyoiji, Miko and alongside talented scholars and warriors across the land they were in charge of the barrier that keeps the elemental nations largely separated from the outside world. A barrier that is now in danger of failing due to the genocide against them by the warmongers of the hidden Villages. Now the shinobi face the potential to be attacked by forces they haven't faced and are unaware of. The fate of the Elemental nations now rests largely on one. The Rightful prince of Uzuishio, Jinchuriki of the Nine tailed fox, Hero of the Land of Waves, Savior of the land of Snow/Spring Wilder of the Dragon Blade, Uzumaki Naruto. Also known as The Golden Fox. The most successful missing Ninja known given all who want his blood spilt or chained to their whims.
