Work Text:
It had been love at first sight. And everyone could see it.
Gojo loved Getou.
They were soulmates.
They were destined for one another.
Ever since their junior years in Jujutsu High, they’ve been inseparable.
As far as their friends were concerned, the two sorcerers were meant to be.
It was destiny; fait accompli!
Now if only Gojo’s family could see that!
The Gojos could have overlooked the fact that Getou was a clanless sorcerer.
They could have overlooked the fact that he was a beta with adopted daughters.
They could have even overlooked the fact that he was neither wealthy nor influential in the sorcery world.
But what they couldn't overlook was the fact that he was sterile!
That was the thing about sorcerers and why their numbers in the world were so low…most of them were barren…or at least they had a very low fecundity and fertility rate.
This is made more true the more powerful the shaman is.
There was something about the nature of cursed energy and sorcerers that affected their reproductive ability and made them infertile. The higher the cursed energy the lower the fecundity.
Getou being a powerful Special Grade sorcerer was barren and sterile.
Gojo Satoru being the most powerful sorcerer of the modern day, wielder of Infinity, possessor of Six Eyes, and scion of the Gojo clan was bordering on being infertile. The alpha was not completely sterile. But his ability to sire children was heavily undermined by his monstrous aura. He could still produce children if paired with an omega. But to have a barren beta as his mate?
That slashed those chances to less than zero.
The Gojo clan - and other powerful clans - were already suffering from low birth rates. They could not suffer that their scion and head of their family be stuck with a barren partner and thus compromise the whole lineage.
And so they would not approve of Gojo’s marriage!!
Gojo had agonized and suffered under his family, trying to convince them to accept their union, but they would not. This went on for years after the couple had graduated from Tokyo High.
Everytime Getou and Gojo would try to get married, Gojo’s family would interfere and break off the bond.
And for the longest time it looked as though the two would never be able to marry.
That was until Nanami Kento returned to the Jujutsu world.
On a night Gojo had had a rare free evening, he had been sitting in the infirmary, moaning and groaning to Shoko about his and Getou’s problem when the woman had tossed her hands into the air in frustration and yelled.
“Why don't you just find a surrogate omega?!!!”
Gojo blinked in confusion at her.
“Seriously, Gojo. I know that you and Getou are soulmates and whatnot, but have you considered finding a surrogate mother to carry your child?” She asked as she spun her chair around to face her irritating friend. “Surrogate mothers are a thing now. You could just find a beta or omega and have them carry your offspring. Then your clan would have no problem with your marriage. From what I understand their only problem with Getou is the fact that he can’t have your kids. But another person can! Get them pregnant and then adopt the kid and get married!”
“I can’t do that to Getou, Shoko!!!” The alpha replied. “I can’t just let a stranger into our lives and into our bed. Especially a non-sorcerer!”
“Then find a sorcerer who will!” She rolled her eyes. “For god’s sake there has to be a few fertile sorcerers running around.”
Gojo went home that night and, as he lay in his and Getou’s bed, he ruminated on what Shoko had said.
At first he had been against the idea, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.
He didn’t need to marry the surrogate, just impregnate them and adopt the child. Then with the siring part done and achieved, he could marry Getou and the clan would have no reason to reject the union.
The next morning the shaman ran the idea by Getou.
The dark haired Special Grade sorcerer listened attentively and sighed.
“I agree.” He spoke softly. “I may not like the idea much but it would serve to appease your family and we would be able to be together officially.”
“But seriously, who could we ask to be our surrogate?”
“Well, we can’t go asking every sorcerer around. This matter needs…discretion.” The Cursed Spirit Manipulator rose and began to pace while he thought. Gojo watched him silently as his beta marched back and forth and tried to figure out a solution.
“The medical records.” Getou finally spoke. “Every sorcerer in Tokyo has their medical records on Shoko’s computer. She has information on who is married, what their secondary gender is, their grade, and even their fertility rate.” He tilted his head. “But that’s confidential information. So you’ll have to go about the matter unobtrusively.”
Waiting for a night when the doctor was away, Gojo teleported into the locked record’s room and turned on her computer. The password was easy enough to figure out. It was the same one the woman used for her phone and she hadn’t changed that since their highschool years.
Opening the folders containing the entire medical records of all the sorcerers in Tokyo (which were not a lot since there were less than a 100 sorcerers in all of Japan), Gojo began to read through each and every one.
But if the shaman had been expecting success and a large pool from which he and Getou could find their surrogate, he soon found himself disappointed.
It seemed that every sorcerer either was already in a relationship, too old, too young, too infertile, had medical issues, or had weak cursed energy.
The man was just about to sigh in disappointment when he came upon Nanami Kento’s file.
Reading his former kohai’s record, Gojo was surprised at what he found.
Despite being a grade 1 sorcerer, not only was Nanami an omega, but also had a fertility rate of 51%, which is honestly astounding when you consider that grade one sorcerers and above averaged only 5 to 10%.
The man - omega - was extremely fertile.
And he had no partners.
Gojo stared at the screen for a long time. An idea brewed inside his mind.
Selecting the print option on the file, the alpha made a paper copy of his former kohai’s records and slipped them inside his pocket before turning off the computer and teleporting away.
Getou placed the copy down on the table and laced his fingers together as he thought.
He listened to Gojo’s plan.
“Gojo, I understand what you’re saying, but have you read Nanami’s psyche evaluation?” The shaman asked. “He has a strong disinclination to alphas. His psyche evaluation placed him as not likely to find a mate due to psychological abhorrence to anything alpha and his lingering bond with his deceased pairing partner, Yuu Haibara.”
“So?”
“So, he’ll probably not be open to the idea of being our surrogate.”
Gojo began to pace in agitation. He ran a hand through his hair as thoughts whirled inside his troubled mind.
Goddamn! Gojo had been so sure that he had found a solution to their problem, but here he was faced with an unexpected obstacle!
“Can we offer him money?”
“If he had been a beta or alpha maybe. But omegas are fiercely maternal and protective of their young. The very idea of giving away his child would set him off.” Getou leaned back and stared at the tall alpha. “Not to mention that he can’t stand you.”
It was true. During their school years, the duo had had a good relationship with their kohai Haibara, but Nanami had found their company almost to border on intolerable. The only reason the blond would ever agree to hang out with them in any social setting was because Haibara would ask him to.
The two sat there in sullen disappointment as they regarded their barren future.
No marriage.
No pups.
No saving their relationship.
Getou sighed.
“I’m sorry, my love.” He said. “It is all my fault. We were never meant to be.”
Gojo came to kneel in front of Getou and took his hands in his own.
“No, Suguru, listen. I love you!” He stated. “We will make this work! We will be wed! We will have pups!”
He rose to stand.
“I will talk to Nanami. I will convince him. Once he sees how desperate we are, he’ll change his mind.”
So, with resolution in mind, Gojo waited till Nanami had a free day off and visited the omega at his apartment in the teachers’ dorm building.
“Gojo-san.” Nanami greeted the alpha at his door in surprise. “What can I do for you?”
“Can I come in?” Gojo asked. “I want to catch up with my dear kohai, and there’s also something I want to talk to you about.”
Seeming not at all liking the idea of inviting the alpha inside his place - but also having no valid reason to refuse him - the omega moved aside and allowed the taller man in.
Gojo stepped inside and after the two sat down, exchanged pleasantries, caught up on each other’s news and talked for a while, Gojo took the plunge and presented Nanami with his and Getou’s problem…and their offer.
“No, absolutely not!”
Gojo resisted the urge to growl.
He knew that there was a chance that the other would refuse him, but that still didn’t stop the sting of disappointment and the bile of anger from rising. He composed himself and tried again.
“Why not?”
Nanami frowned.
“Are you really asking me why am I not open to the idea of sleeping with you and then selling my child off like merchandise?!” he asked in disbelief. “First, to bring the matter to your attention, Gojo-san, I don’t like you, nor do I respect you.” The omega did not sugarcoat his words at all. “Second, it’s my body and my decision. And I do not know how you alphas see us omegas and in what context beyond the materialistic and capitalist context, but I am not willing to compromise my health nor sell a child off for money.”
Nanami rose from his seat, signaling the end of Gojo’s visit.
“I am truly sorry for you and Getou-san. But I cannot agree to such an idea. And I sincerely wish you both the best in finding another surrogate to give you a child.”
“Nanamin, please think about it.” Gojo tried again. “Suguru and I know you. We trust you. We don’t want a stranger we don’t know to have our child. As the head of the Gojo family, giving another person power like that compromises me as the leader of the clan. Please think about it. I know you can’t stand me, but if you won’t do it for me, at least consider it for Getou’s sake. We’ll agree to whatever terms you make.”
Nanami’s eyes turned soft but he didn’t budge from his position. He walked towards the front door and held it open for the wielder of Infinity.
“I’m sorry, Gojo-san, but my decision is final.” He said and watched the alpha’s face slowly morph into sorrow before the other rose to leave.
When he got home, Gojo broke the bad news to his partner.
“Well, I can’t say that I’m surprised.” The Curse Spirit Manipulator replied. “We are asking a lot from him.”
“What can we do, Suguru?” Satoru asked. “I’m not giving up on us.”
Getou blinked.
“Nor am I.”
He sighed.
“We have to continue trying with Nanami-kun. The idea of an outsider acting as our surrogate poses too much risk. Perhaps slow gentle persuasion will whittle away Nanami-kun’s resistance. We will try again.”
And so for the upcoming weeks both alpha and beta tried repeatedly to change the omega’s mind whenever they had an opportunity to talk to him. But Kento’s decision was staunch and unyielding.
So, things continued in this vein.
And they would probably have stayed so in a semi-stagnant status until one day Gojo was leaving his class after he had assigned Yuuji, Nobara, Mimiko and Nanako to work on their techniques, when he came upon Kanji Kamo from the Kamo clan inside the school premises.
The alpha was tall, dark haired and appeared refined and distinguished as he approached Nanami with a bouquet of roses held in his hand. The dark haired alpha came up to the Ratio Sorcerer as he had been leaving the school grounds and bowed to him while presenting the flowers.
Nanami had stood there in shock and surprise as the alpha had introduced himself and politely asked permission to court him.
Gojo, upon seeing this intrusion on what he thought was his territory, had growled and inserted himself between the two.
“Gojo-san, what are you doing?” Nanami had asked as the other placed himself between him and the other alpha.
“Buzz off, Kamo.” Gojo had growled, completely ignoring Nanami’s question. “He’s not interested.”
Kanji Kamo frowned.
“Pardon me, but this matter does not concern you, Gojo-san.” The man had replied. “And besides, don’t you already have a mate? That barren beta, Getou?”
Before the situation could escalate, Nanami had immediately interfered. He thanked Kanji for the flowers but politely declined his courtship request. Then he turned to Gojo and tore the other alpha down.
“I am not your property, Gojo-san.” The blond said in a calm but stern voice as the Kamo alpha walked away in disappointment. “You have no right to interfere in my personal business. When and if I choose a mate, you have no say in my affairs.”
Gojo had resisted growling and turned on his heel and walked away.
He was not happy with what had gone down but at least he had set the other alpha in his place.
But if Gojo thought that had been the end, he was sorely mistaken.
Soon Satoru would find more and more alphas suddenly invading Jujutsu Tech and approaching Nanami with the intent to court him. The Kamo clan, the Hinasaki clan, the Amakuras, the Kozukatas, etc, alphas and betas from every jujutsu family were making a bid for the omega’s hand.
Six Eyes felt boiling rage seize his chest as one contender after another approached the omega and made their intentions known. The only thing that had kept him from conjuring Purple Hollows and possibly starting clan wars was the fact that Nanami firmly but politely turned them all down.
Where the hell had these bastards started coming from?!
What business did they have with Nanami?
He reported what had happened between him and the Kamo alpha to Suguru as well as the sudden influx of suitors.
“It seems that the other clans must have become aware of Nanami-kun’s status as a fertile high level omega and want to court him for their own. And who can blame them? Fertile sorcerers were rare enough, let alone one that was a grade 1. Any children Kento-kun produced would be guaranteed to be exceptional.”
Satoru did not like what he had heard.
“What are we going to do, Suguru? We can’t let him go. And we can’t resort to some surrogate stranger that might have some hidden agenda with a rival clan.”
Getou was quiet at first. His head tilted down as he bit his lip. His eyes were full of sorrow.
He thought about his love for Satoru…about the empty crib…about the years of fighting so valiantly for them and their love…about how Gojo’s family stood at every turn, blocking their way and how they would continue to do so until the alpha broke his bond with him and found another.
He stared into Gojo’s eyes and an unpardonable idea came to mind.
“You’re right, Satoru. We can’t let anyone else have Kento-kun.” He said. “But if he won’t be with us by choice…then he’ll have to come by force.”
Gojo’s eyes widened in shock, but then the idea began to settle into his hindbrain and he nodded in acquiescence. Whatever his mate wanted, Gojo would see that he would get.
Suguru squeezed Gojo’s hand.
“If he doesn’t agree, you can take him as your concubine. I’m afraid that is the only position he can occupy in the wake of our marriage.”
Gojo was silent but then broke out in a smile as he gazed at his resilient beta. He leaned forward and kissed him.
What they had planned to do was unpardonable.
But they had suffered so much for them to be together.
Nanami would be angry. He would resist. He would hate them.
But maybe after the child was born and after they had spoiled the omega and showered him with gifts, adulation and attention, he might forgive them…eventually…maybe.
But for now…
They had to make preparations.
The abduction could not take place while Nanami was still in Jujutsu Tech. Such a move could spell trouble from the other clans that had invested interest in the neutrality of the school grounds.
So the alpha had to wait while Nanami had been finishing a mission and on his way back to take him.
Kento had just sheathed his nata as he stood over the dissipating curse when Gojo teleported in front of him. The omega could not even form a question to the other’s sudden appearance before two powerful arms had wrapped around him and hauled him up.
“I’m really sorry about this, Nanamin.” Gojo said while sounding only mildly honest. “But we really have no choice.”
The teleportation through time and space was an unpleasant experience to say the least.
When Gojo released him, the man doubled over as his face went green. He took small breaths to center himself before he felt a hand gently rubbing his back, trying to calm him and offering him some water.
Nanami lifted his eyes to meet Getou’s sorrowful ones.
“Getou-san?”
He righted himself up and took a sip from Getou’s bottle to steady his stomach before he looked around.
They were in a large luxurious living room. Every corner was well lighted and fitted with high end furniture, expensive entertainment unit mounted on the wall, tasteful decorations, and lush carpets that covered the floor.
“Welcome, Nanami-kun.” Getou said. “Please be seated. We have a lot to discuss.”
Apparently the three of them were in private dwellings on the Gojo estate set specifically aside for Nanami’s use. While the house was large and traditional style, it was remodeled to fit modern conveniences.
This was where Nanami was expected to eat, sleep and amuse himself until he went into heat so the two Special Grade Sorcerers could rape him.
Getou sighed sadly.
“Please, do not think of it that way.”
Nanami glared down at the seated shaman, fury and distaste evident in his eyes as he stared at the seated sorcerer. His voice remained composed even while a torrent of emotions rushed through him.
“How else am I supposed to consider the situation, Getou-san?” He asked rhetorically. “You kidnap me, take me to a strange place that is to serve as my prison. I am not allowed to leave but to remain for your convenience, and I must wait for Gojo to force himself upon me in hopes of getting a child to call your own.” He said. “Have I missed any other detail?”
The alpha in question was sitting on the large comfortable couch surfing channels, pretending that this was not a fucked up situation.
“You will be treated well here, Kento-kun. If you desire anything you only need to ask. We will assign maids to serve you.” Suguru explained. “You can have anything. All your needs will be met.”
“Except to leave.”
The beta’s small smile vanished.
He nodded morosely.
“Except leave.”
What followed was a month of Nanami trying to escape. But it was difficult. The Gojo estates were warded and surrounded by a cursed wall that prevented anyone not of the clan from entering or leaving. Not to mention the security detail that monitored the grounds and surrounding forest area.
Going by his last cycle, the Ratio Sorcerer surmised that he had less than a week before his heat hit. At which point Gojo would-
The blond shuddered in fear and disgust.
He had to get out of here.
The time had passed with Getou making short semi-daily visits to the blond in which he would sit with him and talk. The long haired male would make both of them tea and try to draw him into conversation in which Nanami’s answers were either brief, monosyllabic, or none at all. But the dark haired sorcerer would not be discouraged and would spend time with him before leaving. Luckily, Gojo would rarely accompany him on these visits (He didn’t think he’d be able to handle too much time spent in the company of his will-be rapist).
Nanami did not understand why Getou tried so hard to bond with him.
Was the beta so deluded as to really believe Nanami would be open to forging ties with his jailers?
No matter.
Nanami didn’t wish to encourage either men in their endeavors.
He just wanted to escape.
But the week passed and still he failed to find a method of egress.
Then the worst happened.
His heat started.
“Let me go!”
Getou smiled softly down at the blond. His eyes were glassy with god knows what kind of delusional scenario the man was playing in his head trying to justify his actions to himself. He leaned down and kissed Nanami’s flushed cheek from where he sat above him, pinning his wrists down to the bed. The blond felt unwanted heat rush through his body at the contact. His heat exacerbated the problem.
“Try to relax, sweetling.” Getou cooed. “We’ll take good care of you.”
“We sure will.” Gojo repeated.
Currently the alpha was kneeling between the omega’s legs and was stripped down to his shorts.
Nanami himself had been forcibly stripped of all his clothes before he’d been wrestled down onto the soft egyptian cotton sheets.
The omega gasped and felt helpless tears of rage course down his cheeks as the alpha leaned down and began to nuzzle his neck. The male kissed and nipped at the underside of his jaw and took a deep inhale of his scent before slowly kissing a trail down his chest to his stomach.
The alpha dipped his tongue into the other’s bellybutton before proceeding down to the naked cunt glistening with slick. When Nanami felt hot breath waft over his sensitive folds he tried to close his thighs but Gojo’s powerful hands kept them open.
With a hungry look up at the terrified omega, the alpha leaned down and licked at the swollen entrance.
Nanami gasped, then sobbed as the other began to lick and nip at his sensitized cunt before he felt the hot tongue dip past to savor his core.
Gojo sampled the cream inside and settled down on the bed to better eat out the quivering cunt. He licked, nipped and absolutely devoured the delicious meal placed before him. Soon he felt the muscles contract and the omega go stiff before the other’s pussy convulsed in an unwanted orgasm. Gojo didn’t let a single drop from the other go to waste.
When the other was coming down from his high, the alpha kneeled and removed his shorts. The long hard cock sprang up, eager and waiting to invade the velvety soft depths of the blond’s cunt.
“Gojo…Getou…please. You can still stop.” Kento tried fruitlessly to try and dissuade the couple from what they were about to do. “Let me go and we can put this behind us. There’s still time.”
“There’s no going back now, Ken darling.” Suguru whispered as continued to hold the man down. “Trust in us.” He nuzzled the man’s tear covered cheek. “We’ll care for you and the child. You’ll be such a good mother, Ken darling.”
With that, Gojo positioned himself at the omega’s swollen entrance and slowly began to push inside.
Nanami couldn’t contain the sobs anymore and cried softly as Gojo held him close to himself and began to thrust into the unwilling body underneath him.
Sweet hot pleasure cascaded through Gojo as he felt the wet heat of Nanami’s cunt wrap around him. He groaned and wrapped his arms around him and sat up pulling the blond into his lap to bounce him on his cock.
The alpha saw Getou scooch closer and slot himself against Nanami’s back, pressing the omega close and trapping him between their bodies. The beta kissed the shaking shoulders of the omega before leaning over and locking lips with his alpha.
Gojo sighed in pleasure.
With Suguru’s mouth against his own and Nanami’s wet cunt gripping his knot the man climaxed and poured his scolding seed inside the omega. He kept thrusting until he felt the other orgasm a second time around him.
When they were done, Gojo and Getou continued to hold the distraught omega between them.
Gojo kissed the blond’s cheek and nuzzled his neck.
God, Nanami was amazing.
Now for Gojo there was none in his heart but Suguru, his one and only.
But there was also a quality about Nanami that was addicting and alluring.
There was also something to be said about fucking someone that despised you so thoroughly that was just thrilling.
Satoru hugged the omega close and used his other arm to draw Suguru closer to them.
The world’s strongest felt as though he had the whole world in his hands.
“I mean…I knew the elders were a bunch of assholes, but giving Yuuji and Nobara a mission against a Special Grade curse?” Gojo complained. “Are they intentionally trying to kill the first year students?”
“It’s obvious it was meant as a trap, Satoru.” Getou replied. “They want to kill Yuuji and ensure Sukuna’s death. There is no other reason.”
“It’s a good thing I noticed something wrong and came right back.”
“It was also fortunate that Mimiko and Nanako were sick that day and sat out the mission.” Getou added in relief.
The Curse Spirit Manipulator trembled at the idea of his daughters being caught in such a fight!!! It would have ended Getou!
The couple had joined Nanami at his house to talk about the recent events at Jujutsu High and try to spend time with the irate omega. They believed that perhaps prolonged exposure and companionship might inure him to their company.
It obviously went without saying that the man wanted nothing to do with Gojo and Getou. He had only tolerated their presence for a few minutes before rising and walking out into the well kept gardens surrounding his domicile on the Gojo estates.
Getou sighed.
Right now Kento-kun was sitting on a bench under a sakura tree reading a book while Mimiko and Nanako sat on the grass next to him talking about the upcoming Goodwill Event.
While the blond despised his former senpais, he had no problem with the twin girls. And he did not hold the actions of their adoptive parents against them. So while he had retreated to the garden to rid himself of Getou and Gojo’s presence, he had allowed the girls to hang around his domicile and even climb into his lap when they wanted to get his attention or play with his hair or glasses.
“Should we cancel the Goodwill event?” Getou asked as he watched through the window as Nanako combed Nanami’s hair. “No doubt the elders will put Gakuganji up to something.”
“Not sure we can. Plus, it would be a sign of weakness on Tokyo Tech’ part to do so.” Satoru replied. “If you’re worried about the girls, I’ll be there to watch over the kids. Yuuji is strong, and Nobara is competent and resourceful. Nanako and Mimiko will watch each other’s backs. They’ll also have Panda and Inumak to protect them.”
Suguru frowned and turned to his mate.
“What do we know about the kids from Tokyo Tech?”
“Well, I know that they’re good, if an odd bunch. They have a mech user, a girl who likes to dress up as a witch, a swordswoman with a simple domain, a blood manipulator from the Kamo clan, and twin Zen’in girls - one of which is markswoman.
“Utahime also has a couple of pretty powerful and talented students that might be considered for Grade Level 1. There’s this Todo kid who can teleport. Another Zen’in kid that has the Ten Shadows Technique. And the other Zen’in twin girl has Heavenly Restriction and is rumored to be wickedly strong and a pretty good cursed weapon user.”
Getou considered the information his mate had just shared with him.
“Their numbers are skewed.” He noted. “It’ll be 6 vs. 8.”
Gojo shrugged.
“Nothing we can do about it.” He crossed his arms in front of his muscular chest. “Besides, I have faith in our kids. They’ll kick ass.”
Gojo gave the beta a thumbs up.
“They’ve got this!”
But whether the kids would have come out the victors or not was never discovered as the Goodwill event quickly took a turn for the worse.
A veil, curses, and curses users overrun the school and it was all the students and teachers could do to take them out.
By the time the exhausted couple and their daughters returned home, there had obviously been a shift in the jujutsu world. Though, what and how precisely, they didn’t know. All they knew now was that Gakuganji was not above pitting children for assassination. Luckily Yuuji had proved to be an impressive fighter and had held the Kyoto students off until shit had gone down with the curses.
“I need to look into this.” Gojo said. “Curses and curse users working in tandem? Definitely something fishy is on the horizon.”
“I know that this is important. But it can wait for a little while.” Getou spoke. “You have another matter to attend to.”
Gojo tilted his head in confusion at first, but then smiled in delight.
“Another heat?”
Suguru nodded.
“Let’s hope this will be it.”
To say that the couple had been disappointed when Nanami hadn’t gotten pregnant was obvious, but they had known to expect that. After all, Special Grade sorcerers were known for their low fertility.
So the next night - much to Nanami’s ire - found the couple in the omega’s bed.
When Gojo finally came inside him and Suguru released his arms, Nanami curled onto his side away from their caressing hands.
How long was he expected to tolerate this nightmare?
Until he conceived?
He had been here for months!
And what if he did conceive?
What then?
Would they let him go? Would they allow him to keep his child? Or would they take it by force and rip it away from Nanami’s arms? Would he even be able to see the child if they even allowed him to leave at all?!!
So many questions, and Nanami found himself unhappy with the answers.
Things could not go on like this.
He couldn’t stand this life.
He needed to escape.
Since arriving here Nanami had been observing the Gojo grounds and studying the wards surrounding their walls.
They were powerful, but Kento had noticed a discrepancy in them. The wards needed to be revitalized every other week for the purpose of keeping their strength consistent. When that happened, the veil would drop briefly and rise again in waves…waves Nanami could see and detect with his Ratio Technique.
Could it be possible for him to briefly impair them so as to escape?
Plan in mind, the man waited for his opportunity.
He would not fail.
Failure meant further violations and possibly becoming pregnant come his next heat.
Nanami had been lucky so far to have avoided it, but he couldn’t bank on the future.
Failure was not an option!
“What do you mean he’s gone?!”
“It’s exactly as I said.”
Getou paced, his face a map of worry and concern. This…this was bad.
“Is Nanamin not coming back?” The long haired shaman paused to stare at Mimiko and Nanako. The girls appeared saddened by the news of the omega’s departure. Even though Suguru and Satoru had not managed to inure the omega to them, and even though the omega had been with them only briefly, the blond and the twins had bonded and grown close.
And now they were hearing that the omega had left.
Getou approached their daughters and hugged them close.
“Of course he is, pumpkin.” He reassured them. “Ken-chan is off on a little vacation for a while. He’ll be back soon.”
Over the girls’ shoulders his eyes met his mate’s. Their message clear: Find Nanami. Bring him back.
Gojo stared at his beta’s determined eyes and knew that what Getou wanted, Gojo would get.
SIX MONTHS LATER
KYOTO
Nanami raised his nata and deflected the incoming claw from the second grade curse aiming at his face. The man swiped the blow aside and countered immediately to sever the creature’s head from its body. The curse couldn’t even manage to scream before it died and began to dissipate.
The man made sure it was perfectly gone before proceeding further inside the abandoned metro station in search of the nest.
As soon as Nanami had escaped from Gojo and Getou, the sorcerer had fled to Kyoto where he had hid among the population. There he had kept hidden until he had got his hands on a pendant that disguised his CE from other sorcerers' sights (more specifically, Six Eyes).
After his detainment at the hands of his former ‘friends’, Nanami knew there would be no returning to Tokyo. He also could not return to the regular Jujutsu society, so he had gone the way of Mei Mei and others before her and had become a freelance sorcerer.
It paid well and while working under a pseudonym, he remained hidden from other sorcerers lest word reached Gojo and Getou that he was in Kyoto.
It had also helped that Tokyo Tech had their hands full cleaning up after a curse user called Kenjaku that had been absolutely wreaking havoc. Although thankfully it seemed that the sorcerer (parasite?) had inhabited a weak vessel in its desperate search for a new body and therefore had been easy to kill. But it had turned out that he’d been working alongside 4 special grade curses who had been tasked with finding Sukuna’s fingers in order to resurrect the King of Curses.
Well, whatever the case, Nanami was safe for now.
Well, relatively.
At the moment he had been hired to hunt down a group of curses that may have made their nest in some abandoned metro tunnels of Kyoto.
He had exorcised some handful of level 2 curses and was seeking out the rest.
As he explored the dark spaces he came upon a fork in the tunnels, one diverged right, while the other left.
Sensing cursed energy coming from the left he carefully headed that way.
He smelled and sensed curses nearby.
Silently, he approached the source and found that the tunnel opened up into a large multi level trainyard.
There! A handful of the same level 2s he had just exorcized. The blond ducked behind some decommissioned train carts and waited till the creatures had wandered closer. When they were just where he wanted them, he swung with his nata and exorcized all four in two hits.
The sorcerer watched the curses fade away before he suddenly became aware of growling coming from around some other train carts and he found himself looking at no less than 30 curses.
‘Damn! How did I miss so many?!’
The curses left their hiding places and began to converge on his location. Among some of the level 2s he sensed a handful of grade 1 curses.
‘This is bad. I can’t fight so many coming at me from every direction.’ He thought. ‘I’ll be quickly overwhelmed. I need to get back to the tunnel to funnel them down.’
The blond turned to head back only to see more curses appear to block his way.
Wrapping his tie around his free hand to make a fist, Nanami went into overtime.
This was going to get messy.
The air was charged with anticipation. The curses lifted their heads to smell the scent of lonely prey that had come into their nest.
Then, all hell broke loose!
Nanami swung and punched at every curse that jumped at him. He severed limbs, heads, and punched at every movement. But a few managed to breakthrough his defense and he felt pain explode on his back as claws rendered flesh.
But he didn’t stop, he kept fighting and tried to find an opening to escape. But it was quickly becoming obvious that escape was not possible.
Soon he was covered in lacerations and was bleeding profusely from his wounds.
Just as the remaining curses were about to lunge at the weakened sorcerer there came a shriek and a roar as some of them were exorcized and destroyed.
Nanami stared to the rear of the horde and found a tall dark haired man with a large sword carving through the curses with incredible speed. In fact, he was so quick and nubile that he was cutting through the curses before they even had a chance to turn around.
A curse, uncaring for the demise of its kin, lunged at Nanami and pinned the male down. He tried to lift his nata to defend himself but found his arms too weak from blood loss. The creature chomped down on the blond’s shoulder with its razor sharp teeth and Nanami could only grunt in pain before he lost consciousness.
Toji darted with lightning fast reflexes between the curses and swung with powerful slashes.
He would have liked to take his time playing with these creatures but he had seen the sorcerer fall down under a curse. He couldn’t waste time.
Swiftly dodging the bodies, he made his way to the downed man and kicked the curse off of him.
The creature impacted the wall with such force from the powerful alpha that the concrete was utterly demolished.
Standing in front of the fallen sorcerer in order to block the other curses from reaching him, Toji made quick work of the rest of the nest.
When the last curse fell, the dark haired male turned and approached the other man. Kneeling, he found the other alive but unconscious. He was bleeding heavily from the many wounds on his body.
The sorcerer was pretty.
Very pretty.
And he smelled of omega.
He had blond hair, high cheekbones and a strong jaw. The body under all the blood and gore from the curses was fit and muscular.
He was gorgeous.
Toji had never seen an omega like him. Most omega males were small in stature and lean, but this one was muscular and fit. And underneath the heavy cloying of blood, he could smell his delicious scent.
But Toji could not sit here and admire the male.
He was injured and required assistance.
Making the worm perched on his shoulder reabsorb the sword, he knelt down and slipped his arms under the man’s legs and shoulders before gently picking him up in his arms.
He needed medical assistance.
Wasting no time, Toji turned and left the tunnels.
When Nanami came awake, it was to pain and weakness suffusing his body.
‘What happened?’ He thought. ‘Why does my body hurt?’
He blinked his eyes to try to focus his sight. It was coming in blurry and distorted, but soon he managed to become aware that he was looking up at a wooden ceiling and was lying on a soft futon. Sunlight was coming in through the open window and he could hear the sound of birds and the wind rustling through the tops of trees. His body was aching and covered in bandages.
Now he remembered.
The nest.
The curses had overwhelmed him. There had been too many for him to fight on his own.
But what had happened next?
As if reading his mind, the shoji door to his room slid open and a dark haired male appeared in the doorway.
The first thing Nanami could make of the other was his scent. Heady and with a hint of cedar, the alpha male was tall, dark haired, with wide shoulders. He had emerald eyes and a small scar bisected his lips at the corner of his mouth.
The other approached.
“You’re awake.” He spoke in a deep voice. “How do you feel?”
“Like I’ve been mauled to death.” Nanami replied in a hoarse voice.
The alpha grabbed the pitcher of water on the nearby table and filled a glass before kneeling next to the other and helping him drink.
The water helped revitalize the injured sorcerer.
“Thank you.” When he had finished drinking.
“Are you the one who rescued me?”
The man nodded.
“It was a close thing. If I had been a few minutes later it would have ended badly for you.”
Nanami could believe it, judging by how aching his body felt.
“Then I owe you a debt of gratitude.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Toji put away the glass and sat by the man’s side.
“You were lucky I was already in the area hunting a curse there. I heard fighting and found you in the middle of a nest.” He said. “Name’s Toji by the way.”
It turned out that Nanami was at the Zen’in estate where Toji had brought him to heal his wounds after he had rescued him. He had been unconscious for a couple of days but would make a full recovery.
For several days as the omega lay in the guest bedroom healing he would be visited by Toji who would sit by him and talk to him as he checked his injuries.
It looked like the wounds were knitting nicely, but some would leave behind scars. A few more days and he would be able to leave. Although he would need a bit more time before he could go back to exorcizing curses.
As the two were talking one day over tea in Nanami’s room, Toji, out of the bluet, asked:
“Who are you running from?”
The alpha would give the omega credit; the other’s poker face was superb. He hadn’t even so much as twitched when Toji bluntly posed the question.
“What makes you believe that, Toji-san?” The sorcerer asked calmly neither confirming nor denying.
“A person doesn’t wear a cursed pendant to disguise their cursed energy unless they’re hiding from someone.” Toji stated, looking at said pendant hanging around Nanami’s neck. “And they don’t give false names either.” No reaction from the omega. “So, who are you trying to keep hidden from?”
The blond didn’t reply.
Then.
“While I am grateful for all you've done for me, Toji-san, please allow me the courtesy of refusing to answer your question.”
The alpha was silent but then shrugged.
“Not a problem.”
Although, just because the pretty omega didn’t want to answer it didn’t mean that the Zen’in didn’t have other ways to get them.
“Old man, what do you know about the omega I saved?”
Naobito Zen’in looked up from his cup to stare at the other in curiosity.
“Why are you asking me? Shouldn’t you know? You’re the one who’s been visiting him every day.”
“I tried, but he’s not talking.” Toji replied. “He’s wearing a pendant to mask his CE and I know a false name when I hear one.” Toji responded as he sat by the Alpha clan leader. “I’m curious about who we have in our midst and that he’s apparently hiding from something.”
He gave the elder a pointed look.
“Also, don’t pretend to be innocent. You’ve probably already done your snooping.”
The older man chuckled.
“You’re right about that.”
His younger relative stared at him, waiting for the other to fess up.
“I’ve actually got some interesting information about your omega.”
Toji frowned at the implication - ‘Your omega’ - but he didn't deny it. He sat patiently waiting for Naobito to get on with it.
Naobito had been to see the omega when he had first been brought in bloody and unconscious by Toji. And as the head alpha of the Zen’in clan it fell to him to know about everything and everyone who entered the Zen’in clan estates, especially if they are a sorcerer.
And what he’d discovered about the omega was certainly interesting.
“Alright, here’s what I know so far. His name is Nanami Kento.” Toji silently repeated the name. It suited him. He tucked it away for memory. Naobito was still talking. “He’s a grade 1 sorcerer from Tokyo Tech and an omega. He left the sorcery world for a while following the death of his beta mate, but then he returned (not something that happens everyday). He has a superb track record as a sorcerer.
“A year ago the elders were updating the personnel files and records for their sorcerers when one of them came across Kento’s file and found out that he was an omega grade 1 with a startlingly high fertility rate. As you can imagine, with how low our numbers are, they didn’t want to miss the chance of pairing him with another sorcerer and so sent word to some of their eligible and single sorcerers. There’s been an influx of alphas and betas from the families trying to secure him for their own, but he refused all suitors.”
Toji tilted his head and nodded.
He wasn’t surprised. Fertility among sorcerers was an all time low. It would have been foolish to let such a prize as ‘Nanami’ to remain unclaimed.
“But about eight months ago the man went missing from the field. A search was conducted but no trace of him was found.” Naobito said. “And there had been no trace…until you found him, that is.”
Naobito poured another cup of sake for himself.
“As to why and how he disappeared, he might not be willing to say, but I have some idea.”
He took a deep draught and sighed.
“There had been rumors that Six Eyes’s mate was barren and his family was pressuring him to break off their bond. Six Eyes refused. But at the time he’d been seen around Kento alot, propositioning him for something.
“What that exactly was, wasn’t known.”
A sharp gleam sparked in Naobito’s eye.
“But, if I were a gambling man, I bet you every last yen in the Zen’in treasury that the Gojo brat wanted Kento to take him on as his concubine or to act as a surrogate.”
As Toji made his way through the hall, he thought over Naobito’s words.
A runaway omega, desperate to maintain anonymity and remain hidden from an alpha.
It didn’t take a genius to know what had occurred.
It was a story as old as time.
Evening was approaching and Toji made his way towards the omega’s - Nanami - room. He wanted to see if he would like to join him for dinner.
He would need to think about the matter of Kento.
When the alpha knocked on the door of the guest room and was invited inside, he found Megumi, Mai and Maki there…again.
Ever since bringing the omega to the estates, the kids had been curious about the man Toji had brought and had been invading the man’s room to meet him. Thankfully it seemed that the omega did not mind the intrusion and would talk to them whenever they wished to talk about jujutsu, techniques or just bitch about their school or their rivals from Tokyo Tech.
The alpha entered as the omega greeted him while the kids ignored his presence. Toji sat out the conversation and just listened to them speak.
Apparently the kids were telling the sorcerer about the Goodwill event and how disastrous it had turned out, but that they had been confident that, had the curses not interrupted them, they would've won.
Toji rolled his eyes.
He’d been hearing the kids moan about that for months…those sore losers.
It seems that now they had a new listener in the omega for them to bitch about it.
“Hey, don’t bother our guest with your griping.” The alpha said. “Yes, you could've won, but you could have easily just as lost.”
Megumi rolled his eyes at his father…The little shit.
“We’re not griping.” He denied. “We’re just discussing the tactical advantage we had and-”
“How you blew it?” Toji teased with a grin.
The kids squawked in denial, but Nanami smiled gently before he turned to listen to them continue their diatribe. Maki was talking about how she fought the plant curse using Playful Cloud and Mai was remembering how she had shot down some of the flying curses that had come around.
Well, it looked like the brats wouldn’t be leaving, so he decided to have the servants bring their dinner in here to have together.
As the five of them ate, Toji found himself more and more drawn to the blond. In fact, He had been interested since bringing him to the Zen'in estates. The man had a certain quality about him that was solid and reliable. He was intelligent, serious, handsome, and seemed capable. And even though he came off as cold at first, the more Toji watched him interact with the teens the more he saw the warm and caring nature underneath.
Once done, the alpha shooed the kids away so he could talk to the omega in private.
“The brats seem to like you, Nanami.”
The blond didn’t so much as flinch at the use of his real name.
He remained silent.
Toji continued.
“I don’t know what your story is (he was going on the hypothetical) and I won’t try to force you to talk, but know that you’re safe here.”
Nanami was silent for a while before he sighed.
“Thank you, Toji-san.”
The setting sun cast rays of twilight streaming through the open window. The light cast a golden halo around the omega’s hair that made him glow. Toji had to force himself not to stare as he pulled out a shogi board and invited the omega to play.
When it got late and it was time to rest, Toji put away the board and rose to leave.
But before he did, he paused at the door and turned to the omega.
“Listen. I know that you’ll be leaving us in a couple of days, but I wanna let you know that you’ll always be welcome here if you wanna visit again.” Toji said.
Nanami’s face was inscrutable, but the alpha detected hints of acquiescence.
“I…I’ll think about it.”
Nanami punched the pillar and forced the ceiling to collapse.
Tons of cement and corroded steel came crashing down on the Special Grade curses’ head and the large creature screamed as it was buried under the debris. When the dust settled he saw its hideous head peeking from underneath. It was still alive.
Kento was just about to swing his nata to kill it when there was lightning fast flash and the curse dropped dead and began to fade away.
The blond looked around to see Toji smirking at him.
He sighed.
“You did not have to do that, Toji-san.” He said. “The situation was under control.”
“I know.” He said as he put his sword away. The large Jin Huan Dao was easily absorbed by the worm perched on his shoulder. “Still fun to kill curses though.”
It had been a month since Nanami had recovered from his wounds and left the Zen’in estate. And in that month the two men had managed to keep in contact.
Nanami had been cautious and hesitant at first at the idea. He still had his misapprehensions about alphas thanks to what had happened to him at Gojo’s hands. But so far Toji had been perfectly well-behaved.
Toji on his part had been respectful of the other’s boundaries but he did not hide his true intentions to the omega…which was to court Nanami. But he had made sure to not to lay it on too thick.
He figured the last thing the omega would want - in lieu of what he guessed had happened - was for an alpha to come on too strong.
The two men would at times meet up for company, and at other times to dine together. They found that they enjoyed one another’s company.
On some occasions they would team up for a mission if the curse in question seemed far too annoying to deal with individually.
But in terms of missions, Nanami had actually seen more of the Zen’in kids than he’d seen Toji himself.
At times the kids would be given a task to eradicate some curses and ask Nanami to accompany them or they’d go to him for instruction.
When he’d learned about this, Toji, who used to supervise them, was miffed. He did not doubt the omega’s abilities and strength but why the sudden change of camp from the kids?
The alpha confronted the brats and asked them why.
“We like Nanami-san.” Maki shrugged.
“He’s less of a pain to deal with than you.” Megumi the little shit did not mince words.
Toji glared.
“What? It’s true.” Mai corroborated Megumi’s claim bemusedly. “He’s actually patient and explains things better than just ‘kill the ugly thing’.”
Toji rolled his eyes.
So what if his methods are a bit more blunt?
They haven’t failed him yet.
But he shouldn’t complain. The kids going to Kento and hanging out with him meant a little more ground won for his suit of marriage.
Even the old man was rooting for Toji.
“An omega who is a first grade?” Naobito said. “You’d best not mess it up, brat. The guy looks like he has a good head on his shoulders; perfect to counteract your hotblooded foolishness.”
Whatever.
Nanami sheathed his nata and they both began to make their way out of the dilapidated factory where the Special Grade curse had been hiding.
“Feel like a drink?” Toji asked.
While Nanami would rather return home, he had no pressing matters to attend to. A drink did sound good.
“I wouldn’t mind.”
After leaving the bar and each going their separate ways, Nanami returned home and got ready for bed. But while slowly drifting off to sleep his thoughts would inevitably turn to Toji.
The alpha was…interesting.
Nanami had little to no tolerance for alphas. They were arrogant, rude and just insufferable, but Toji was different.
While the man was rough around the edges, Kento knew he was a good father. He’d seen the way he would deal with his son Megumi. And how he trained with Maki.
Toji-san was...different.
“Kugisaki really needs to chill. I shoot into the air once to scare her and she just loses her shit and tries to brain me with her hammer.”
“Normal kids would just go around pulling on their crush’s pigtails to get their attention, but not you, Mai. Gun violence is your answer to everything.” Maki said.
“I don’t really see you and Nobara ever getting along honestly.” Megumi added.
When the boy implied that the girl didn’t have a chance with her crush, Mai turned the tables and told him that she had a better chance with Kugisaki than he did with Sukuna’s vessel.
The teen blushed and mumbled something indecipherable.
Nanami sighed.
“Please stay focused.” The older man instructed the gaggle of children. Honestly, how did he find himself chaperoning baby sorcerers? “I believe we are drawing near to where the curse is hiding.”
At that the teens stopped their bickering and became alert.
A scuffle, a particularly tricky curse, and a well coordinated attack later, and the group was making their way out of the abandoned shopping mall where the curse had been lurking.
“I’m hungry. Let’s go get burgers.”
“I’m more inclined to meatball sandwiches.”
“Is that because your precious Itadori-kun once made you a meatball hotpot?”
Nanami was just about to bid farewell to the kids to return home, but the teens clung onto his jacket sleeves and nagged him until he agreed to join them.
The omega sighed but did so anyway.
It was not becoming for him to capitulate so easily to the whims of children, but there he was, sitting at a hole in the wall diner eating arguably very good food as he listened to the Zen’in kids chatter.
Perhaps he was going soft. Or perhaps it was the omega in him that still desired having children ever since his mate Haibara had been alive, but Nanami always found himself being complacent around children.
He found himself actually missing Nanako and Mimiko, despite all that their fathers had done to him.
But no matter.
He would try to limit his time with the Zen’in children. They were good kids and had been aware that Nanami was a freelance sorcerer who should not be mentioned in the presence of any sorcerers from Tokyo Tech. He really was already treading dangerous waters as it is when he revealed his real name to them.
He couldn’t risk word of his presence in Kyoto getting back to anyone in Tokyo.
The blond put in mind that he would limit his interactions with the Zen’in clan as a whole from now on.
But as the weeks passed that turned out to be easier said than done.
Fate seemed to have another plan in mind as Nanami again and again found himself either in the company of Toji or supervising the Zen’in children on missions.
In fact he had been invited again to the Zen’in estate where he had spent more than one afternoon either having sake with the clan alpha Naobito, or sitting and playing poker with Toji.
He really didn’t mind partaking in the expensive and good liquor from Naobito’s bar, nor taking Toji’s money in a game of cards (The man cheats like hell, but Nanami was an expert player thanks to many previous games with Shoko). Sometimes even Naobit would join them in a game and Nanami would then either walk away with more money in his pocket or less money than when he initially arrived.
“While I appreciate your help, Toji-san. May I say that it is also extremely aggravating.”
Currently the two men were inside a large warehouse after exorcizing a curse.
Well, it is more accurate to say that Toji exorcized the curse as the man always seems eager to show off and eliminate Nanami’s marks.
“Heavenly Restriction has got to come in good for something.” Toji replied. “And if it is to show off, well, then let me show off a bit.”
He smirked at the omega and flexed his muscles for the other’s gaze.
Nanami resisted rolling his eyes but sheathed his nata and then waited for the alpha to join him before they began to make their way out.
“What do you say? Dinner at my place?”
“Tempting, Toji-san, but I'd like to go home and unwind with a book for the evening.”
Toji pouted. It was honestly cute even though the man was over 6.5 feet tall and built like a herculean.
“Can I come by your place and cook you something?”
“You can cook?” Nanami raised one curious eyebrow.
“Well, noodles should be considered cooking.”
The sorcerer smiled bemusedly.
“Perhaps…” Toji’s eyes widened in eagerness. “...next time.” They dropped in disappointment.
Nanami hid his smirk. He really shouldn’t tease the tall male but he couldn’t help it. The alpha was contradictorily both difficult and easy to read at the same time. Nanami had made a small game of it to try and understand the man’s tells. It came in quite handy during poker nights.
He already had most of Naobito’s tells down, but the cunning old fox still had a few tricks up his sleeve.
Speaking of Naobito…
To both men’s surprise, they found the Zen’in leader standing at the entranceway of the warehouse, waiting along with Megumi and Maki.
When he saw the duo appeared he greeted Nanami before getting down to business.
“There’s a situation in Shibuya.”
SHIBUYA STATION
A veil had risen trapping civilians inside alongside many curse users and curses.
Gojo stared down the flower curse and the fire one.
There was a curse user somewhere helping them. He could sense it.
But first he had to dispatch these nuisances before they killed any more people.
The two special grade curses leapt to punch the sorcerer only to find themselves frozen in place and unable to move.
“The more you try to withstand my technique the stronger it gets.” He taunted Jogo and Hanami as the two creatures tried to penetrate Infinity. “I don't think this asparagus has the energy left to withstand that. Do you?”
Suddenly he turned to Hanami and, pushing his aura, he crushed her against the wall. The curse couldn’t even budge an inch. The man’s power was unbearable.
Wanting to rescue his friend, Jogo created a fireball and tried to divert the sorcerer’s attention from Hanami.
“Look what I have here!” He yelled while pointing the fireball at a bunch of civilians.
But Gojo didn’t shift. He leaned in and in an instant pulverized the flower grade.
Jogo stared at the stain which was the remains of his friend.
“Hanami…”
The sorcerer turned towards him.
Terrified, Jogo ran.
Gojo gave chase to find three curses (the fire curse and the crosspatch one) ambush him with a concentrated effort. But there was a fourth among them who seemed to be a blood manipulator.
‘A Kamo clan member?’ Six Eyes wondered.
The ambush failed, but not before a train full of transfigured humans arrived and began attacking the humans around him.
With no other choice but to allow the body count to rise, Gojo opened Unlimited Void for a millisecond before killing as many curses as possible.
The man, panting in exhaustion, suddenly became aware of a peculiar box laying on the ground in front of him. Before he could wonder at what it was and where it came from, the box shattered opened and encompassed him in its entrails.
The scion of the Gojo clan could only watch helplessly as the box closed around him and he was sealed away in the Prison Realm.
Choso came forward and picked up the Prison Realm.
“It is done.” He said. “Kenjaku would have been pleased.”
Jogo and Mahito stared at the Death Painting as he murmured to himself.
“With Gojo Satoru sealed away there is no one who can stand in Sukuna Ryomen’s resurrection now. Are you sure you can control Sukuna with your creator absent?” Jogo asked.
Choso frowned.
“Do not question me, curse.” He ordered. “Kenjaku knew that his time was coming to an end. He could not find a suitable vessel to take on his form, nor anyone to kill Riko Amanai and stop the Star Plasma Vessel from merging with Tengen. He instructed me on how to proceed in case any problems arise.”
The Curse Painting turned away.
“You have a mission now to find Yuuji Itadori and feed him the rest of Sukuna’s fingers. With Gojo Satoru sealed you’ll have only Getou Suguru to concern yourselves with.”
“Getou-san, Gojo-sensei’s been sealed away in the Prison Realm.”
The beta’s eyes widened in shock.
Someone managed to overtake his mate Satoru? How was that possible?!
“Where is he?”
“Last Mechamaru reported that he was in the metro station.” Yuuji replied.
Fear rushed into Suguru’s heart.
He needed to find his mate, but the civilians needed to be rescued. There were still a lot of curses running around endangering them and the veil prevented anyone from escaping.
“Nobara, Nanako, and Mimiko, you girls ensure the civilian’s safety. Kill any curses and curse users you see. Ino. Yuuji. Someone here has summoned the veil that’s bringing all the curses out. Find them and eliminate them.”
“What about you, Getou-san?”
“I’m going to find Satoru.” As he moved to leave. “There are other teams of sorcerers here to help. If you run into them, assist them if need be.”
After killing a blond curse user with a sword, Getou looked up to find that the veil had dropped.
Good, it seemed that Yuuji and Ino had found the curse users and broke the veil.
Now to find his mate.
Naobito, Nanami and Maki made their way down Shibuya and into the metro station. There were reports of more curses running around and possible civilians trapped down here.
Toji and Megumi had opted to stay up top and deal with the curses and curse users roaming the streets.
Naobito had actually been surprised to see Nanami wanting to come to Tokyo, especially after word got out that Six Eyes and his mate were here. But people were in danger and the man did not seem the type to shirk his duty nor run away from helping others.
Good, because it seemed that they would need his sword arm. Any group that could seal away the Gojo brat had to be dangerous, and they would need all the help they could get.
And as he was thinking that the three felt cursed energy resonate from behind one of the pillars of the metro station.
Maki readied her spear, but Nanami halted her.
“I’ll take this one.”
A curse resembling a squid appeared from behind the pillar.
But before Nanami could move, the curse suddenly disappeared and reappeared in Naobito’s hand. The man had used his Frame Technique.
“You guys are a bit too slow.” Then he punched the frame causing it to fracture and send the curse flying into a pillar. The impact must have upset the curse’s insides because the next moment it vomited a large pile of human bones.
“How many people have you eaten?”
The curse trembled. At first Nanami thought the thing was trembling in fear, but the next moment it split its shell open and revealed its true form. The curse had evolved and now it stood taller and more powerful. It materialized an orb of water before flooding the metro.
Maki barely managed to keep to her feet when the deluge hit her.
She stabbed her spear into a nearby pillar and hopped up and out of the water level.
After a few seconds, the water drained away and the newly evolved cursed spirit hovered over the ground staring down at Naobito.
Just as the curse was about to attack, it turned to quickly block a slash from Nanami coming at it from above. The hit sent the curse smashing into the ground where Maki quickly tried to capitalize on the surprise attack by one of her own, only for the curse to block her spear with its bare hand.
Naobito appeared from behind and turned it into a frame before hurling it away in Nanami’s direction. The blond slashed at the frame only for the curse to tank it and slide away unharmed.
The curse ‘Dagon’ casually strode nearer, a stream of water behind it.
Naobito stared at Dagon.
“I can't believe two grade 1’s like us couldn't exorcize it together.” He stated. “What dire straits.”
It seemed like an all out group attack was needed.
All three sorcerers dashed forward together to attack in unison.
The curse jumped upwards, but Naobito foresaw that and beat it. He jumped over the curse and kicked it down where it went flying. No sooner did it bounce once, twice, then Naobito appeared again and punched it squarely in the back to send it flying in another direction.
The Zen’in leader did this again and again, activating his technique that allowed incredible speed and projection to punch and kick the curse repeatedly.
Finally, after several attacks the curse lay on the ground, it tried to bring its hand together to open its domain but Naobito beat it and crushed its hands.
Just as he’d thought he’d succeeded, the man looked up and saw blue water and a sandy beach.
A domain expansion.
Looking around him, he saw that both Nanami and Maki had also been pulled into the domain.
The curse itself was drifting in the water.
No sooner had the trio noticed it than they were attacked. Fish of every size and with razor sharp teeth tore small chunks and ripped flesh from them.
As the curse was preparing another attack, Naobito activated Falling Blossom Emotion which counteracted the next hit. Nanami moved closer to Maki and pulled her behind him while he activated Simple Domain and protected himself and the girl from more incoming attacks.
His Simple Domain was good but not perfect. He had just learned to use it recently on a visit when Naobito had offered to teach him the technique. Maki could not manifest one of her own because Heavenly Restriction made her void of all cursed energy.
Nanami shielded the girl as an endless swarm of shikigami attacked them. They couldn’t budge at all as there was absolutely no abating in the attack. Naobito, seeing that the attack was almost endless, moved to attack. He needed to kill the curse before it killed them. Nanami could not hold Simple Domain forever, especially if he was protecting the girl.
Just as he was about to lunge forward, Dagon’s fist collided with his face and sent him flying.
Immediately, he reactivated Falling Blossom Emotion as he sensed the curse behind him. The curse punched him again and he collided with the trees.
As Dagon was about to release Death Swarm on the old man, the water suddenly exploded behind them. The domain had been breached. And Megumi and Toji appeared.
“Maki! Nanami! Old man!”
A small gap of domain energy appeared on the water and Megumi landed them both, before Toji was up and moving, Playful Cloud in his hands.
With lightning fast speed the dark haired alpha was upon Dagon and sent him flying. The curse barely managed to regain its feel before he was on it again and again and again.
With the domain’s guaranteed hit compromised with Megumi’s own domain, Death Swarm stopped and Nanami and Maki appeared. The former was bleeding and wounded in places his shaky simple domain could not close, and the latter utterly unharmed. The omega had shielded the girl with his body and nata where his simple domain could not.
Toji proceeded to beat the curse left and right, up and down. His speed was so impressive that the curse could not even manage to retaliate. It tried to jump up and hover away only for it to feel someone kick it down. Naobito had jumped up and intercepted the curse’s escape and kicked it towards Toji who had finished playing and pulverized its skull in an insane barrage of attacks.
When the curse’s life energy passed the domain dropped and the five found themselves once again in Shibuya station.
“Well done, brat.” Naobito said as he watched the curse fade away.
“Nanami-san, are you alright?” Maki asked as she watched the omega hold his bleeding side.
Toji turned towards the two and saw blood cover Kento’s side, worried he began tp approach to check on the omega.
“I am alright.”
“Hm, good thing I taught you that Simple Domain Technique or this would have ended badly.” Naobito said as he, Megumi and Toji approached the pair.
“I…” But before he could say anything, suddenly a short humanoid curse with one eye appeared in front of the two. It placed its hand on Nanami’s abdomen.
Seeing and sensing the powerful curse standing right in front of the omega, Toji reacted faster than most people could think. He kicked the curse with devastating power into the wall, then proceeded to kick it and keep kicking it till it was nothing but a stain.
The alpha stood over the small crater in the ground, his heart beating wildly in his chest.
Kento had almost been injured by a second Special Grade curse right after facing the first one.
Had Toji not been there he would have lost the omega along with the old man and his cousin.
While the man tried to shut away terrible images of Nanami’s death from his mind, the curse had completely disappeared leaving behind a scroll.
Curious, the alpha knelt down and picked it up.
Inside were 15 mummified fingers.
“What in the world…?” Megumi said as he and the others approached the alpha.
“What are those?” Maki asked.
“Sukuna's fingers.” Naobito answered.
Mahito froze for a second. Spikes speared the curse.
Yuuji was surprised but he didn’t let his shock stop him. He took the chance given to him and started beating the ever loving crap out of the disaster curse. The pillar behind the curse started shattering as Yuuji landed one devastating punch after another. The curse could not even breath or form a defense as it was pummeled into the wall.
If it didn’t escape now…
Mahito split into smaller parts and dodged the teen to escape.
Yuuji gave chase.
The curse reformed and sped towards the exit of the metro where Yuuji saw the curse’s opposite image racing towards the original. Nobara was hot on its heels.
Oh no!!!
The girl froze in surprise as she suddenly saw Mahito speeding towards her as opposed to away from her.
No no no!!!!
“KUGISAKI!!!”
Just as the real Mahito was about to reach the girl and instigate Idle Transfiguration, the curse was frozen in a place in a thin frame.
Naobito pulled the curse away from the girl and threw the frame towards the others behind him. Nanami used a black flash to shatter the curse.
Mahito landed in a pile gasping in pain.
Nobara, breaking out of her shock, immediately used resonance. She hurled her nails at the curse and heard a satisfying scream. She did it again and again.
Yuuji ran forward and used black flash to help destroy the curse.
With one final Resonance, Mahito fell down dead. The group stood watching as the last of the disaster curses disappeared.
Yuuji fell to his knees in relief.
Finally, Mahito was dead.
“Kento-kun?”
Nanami’s eyes widened.
That voice!
The blond turned around to find Getou Suguru standing behind him on the stairs. He hadn’t seen the beta in nearly a year. The man looked the same, dressed in Tokyo Tech teacher garbs with his long hair and purple eyes.
The Special Grade sorcerer was standing there looking at him with affection and adulation.
Nanami wanted to vomit.
In the man’s hand was a peculiar looking box with blue eyes decorating the sides. And in the other the severed head of a dark haired male with a dash across his nose.
***
Nanami was packing the moment he entered his apartment.
He couldn’t stay here anymore.
He was sure Getou had had him followed using one of the Curse Spirit Manipulator's creatures. Kento could swear he sensed CE hovering just at the brink of his senses.
FLASHBACK
Following the exorcism of the crosspatch curse, the long haired beta approached Nanami. He had dropped the severed head in his grip and extended his hand towards the omega.
“You had us so worried, dear.” The beta cooed. “How could you run away? But we forgive you. Come on. This situation here is now under control. Let's go home and figure out how to free our alpha together.”
Nanami took a step back.
Panic and fear suffused his being. He would not go back.
He tightened his grip on his nata.
He would not be used like that again. He would rather die fighting than play at being their incubator.
Getou had still been advancing on the omega when suddenly wide shoulders and a tall muscular body blocked his way.
“Oi, what do you think you’re doing?” Toji asked, his voice calm but laden with an undertone of threat. “There are curses still running around and you’re here bothering us?”
Getou Suguru studied the alpha closely.
He’s heard of this alpha before. The Zen’in with no cursed energy whatsoever and no CT. Toji Zen’in was an unknown entity. What his powers were and how he operated were not known but every curse and curse user that has gone against him has met with death.
The Zen’in was standing in the way of him and the omega.
“This doesn’t concern you, Zen’in.”
Toji’s eyes were emerald shards.
“Oh, but it really does.”
Getou would have liked to strike the other man down, but right now he could not get into a confrontation with an unknown variable that was Toji Zen’in while his Satoru was sealed away.
Who knows?
What if Getou lost?
Then what would become of his Satoru?
Getou was facing four of the Zen’in clan. And it would have been in their best interest if he were to fall or for Gojo to go missing. It would spell the end of the Gojo clan and a political and power upheaval in the jujutsu world.
He knew that Kento would not rescue Satoru from his prison if Getou fell.
As much as Getou loathed it, he needed to make a tactical retreat.
Now was not the time for a fight.
They would deal with the wayward omega once Gojo was free.
END OF FLASHBACK
Nanami had been lucky that night. Getou had not been in any position to snatch him away. He had momentarily saved.
But for how long would his luck last?
How long till Getou figured out a way to free Gojo?
Then it would be all over for him.
He needed to leave Kyoto.
He needed to seek a new hiding place.
A knock came to Nanami’s door and the omega almost jumped in terror.
He had been wound so tight from fear and anxiety that even the smallest noise would set him off.
But then he calmed himself.
Getou would not bother knocking if it really had been him.
He would just force his way into Nanami’s home and take him.
As if reading his mind, his visitor knocked again and spoke from behind the door.
“Oi, Nanami? Are you in there?” The omega sighed in relief.
It was only Toji.
“Hey, Kento, open up. Me and the old man are here.”
The Ratio Sorcerer unlocked the door to find both Toji and Naobito standing at the entrance. The Zen’in members had returned home with the kids as soon as the Shibuya affair had been handled, but it appeared that they hadn’t lingered long. Possibly they made sure the teens made it home safe before immediately driving to Nanami’s apartment. But for what reason, Kento did not know.
“Oi, you free? Let us in. We have a proposition for you.”
Hana was one of the most insufferable sorcerers Getou had ever had the displeasure of meeting. But whether this was due to the woman’s own character or due to the symbiote residing within her, he did not know.
All he knew was that now he owed the woman a favor after having lent him the Inverted spear of Heaven (The only known item known to be able to free Satoru from the Prison Realm’s ability) in order to free Gojo.
Instructing Nanako and Mimiko to stand back for their own protection, Getou prepared to free his mate.
Holding the sword over the box, Getou swung down onto the cube and watched in fascination as the seams split and shattered.
Massive powerful waves of CE escaped and created a heavy aura before a light seared through and Gojo Satoru materialized in all his glory. Tall, and now more muscular than Getou remembered him, his mate was a sight for sore eyes and a lonely heart.
“Suguru!”
The beta was instantly wrapped in his mate’s arms. Gojo hugged his lover to him and encompassed Nanako and Mimiko too between them.
The small family stood there for a long time, merely holding one another in silence.
ONE MONTH AFTER THE SHIBUYA INCIDENT
KYOTO
“I don’t see why we can’t go to Red Crane to eat. They have good food.”
“Naobito-san, the Red Crane is a bar that serves alcohol, and Megumi and Maki are minors.”
“Bah, kids. Always ruining everything.”
“Screw you, you old drunk.”
Nanami, Maki and Naobito made their way down the food court following Maki and Megumi’s insistence that there was a new eatery that served the best food and the kids wanted to try it out.
Right now it was just the three of them. Toji and Megumi were out finishing up a task and promised to follow them as soon as they were done.
When they reached their destination, they went in and sat. Maki ordered a soda till the others arrived while the adults opted to wait.
Naobito yawned bored. He hated waiting, but what could you do?
“Hey, wanna hear a joke?” He began unprompted. “A guy is married and has 8 kids, seven of which are decent looking-”
“It turns out his wife slept with 7 guys and the ugly kid is his own.” Maki beat him to the punchline.
The Zen’in alpha glared but then laughed.
“How the hell did you guess?!”
“Your facebook memes are very boomer!”
“I believe Naobito-san qualifies more for Silent Generation.” Nanami added.
“The old man can never be silent.”
Looking up, the trio found that Megumi and his dad had arrived.
Megumi sat down next to Maki while Toji plopped down next to the omega blond, scooching close till their thighs were touching. Nanami gave the alpha a small smile which the dark haired male returned and leaned back to rest his arm on the back of the omega’s chair. No sooner were they ready, the party asked for the menus then ordered.
After the five had eaten - with the kids bickering because Toji kept stealing something from everyone’s plate - they rose to leave.
When they returned to the Zen’in estate, Toji and Nanami went out into the garden to drink while the teens headed to the rec room to watch a movie. At his door, the servants greeted Naobito politely before informing him that he had a guest waiting for him in the grand reception area.
Walking into the room the head alpha was somewhat not surprised to see Gojo Satoru standing at the engawa leaning against the door. He was just shocked at how long it took for this meeting to happen. The scion’s eyes were staring at something not visible to Naobito’s range of vision, but if he were to guess, he thought the other alpha was probably watching Nanami and Toji whilst using Six Eyes.
Naobito gruffed.
Such a lack of manners!
“Brat! What are you doing here?”
He had a good idea of what the alpha was here for.
Gojo turned to the other alpha.
“Zen’in! How are things? Feeling well? Keeping up with the old liver? Thinking of kicking the bucket anytime soon?”
“Never mind my health, how about you keep your Six Eyes to yourself? I don’t appreciate you using that inside my own home.”
Gojo smiled in amusement but seemed to draw the power away. Naobito wasn’t sure how he knew that, but there was just something about the air and feeling of being perceived that told you Six Eyes was not active, or at least put on limited capacity.
“And I don’t appreciate people poaching my friends.” The younger alpha replied. “Pretty clever of you; adopting Kento-kun into the Zen’in clan. You made sure that no one could claim him now without involving clan politics, and not without your permission.”
“What can I say, we’ve grown fond of the sorcerer.”
Gojo’s smile never wavered but it was nothing short of malicious.
“Oh, I’m sure. And I’m sure you have absolutely no plans to marry him off to your nephew Toji.”
“What two healthy young individuals get up to on their own time is none of my business. But if that’s how things are going I certainly would not withhold my blessings from a very fortuitous marriage.”
Six Eyes’s smile was all teeth.
“I would like to talk to him.” He said. Then after a beat. “Alone.”
Naobito did not say anything.
Gojo pushed off from where he had been leaning and came closer.
“Listen, Zen’in, let’s not pretend that you did not poach a possession of mine.” He spoke. “You took an omega from the Gojo clan and that is quite a violation.”
Naobito was prepared.
“How can he be a possession of the Gojo’s when he had no rank and no title? Neither you, nor your mate, nor any member of the Gojo clan introduced him formally.” He said then he grinned wickedly. “Unlike the Zen’in, Nanami-san is adopted into the clan.”
Gojo resisted gritting his teeth.
The old man had him there.
He and Suguru had never officially welcomed the omega into the family before his escape.
They couldn’t!
By clan rules they had needed the omega to be pregnant first before producing a child for them to adopt in order for him and his beta to marry. Without a child, the omega had no intrinsic value. Only then could Nanami be officiated into the clan as a concubine of Satoru’s. In hindsight, Gojo should have done what the Zen’in had done and adopted the blond into the family before trying to instigate a pregnancy.
Now it was too late.
Taking the omega by force a second time would be an affront on clan rules and might instigate a war.
Beaten, and knowing it, Gojo teleported and left the Zen’in estates without a word.
When Nanami felt the monstrous aura disappear, he felt as though he could finally breathe. His shoulders relaxed from their tense state and he buried his face deeper into Toji’s chest.
Toji, having noticed his stress and smelled his panic when he sensed Gojo’s presence on the estate, had drawn close and wrapped the man in his arms to soothe him. He had to resist growling. He had wanted to go find the other alpha and beat the shit out of him and drag him off the property, but he didn’t want to leave the omega alone and afraid.
Thankfully it seemed the other’s visit was a short one and he must have left if Nanami’s reaction was anything to go by (Toji could not sense cursed energy due to Heavenly Restriction).
After a few minutes of the alpha rubbing the man’s back and soothing him, Nanami looked up into the deep emerald eyes.
The two men’s eyes held one another, silent messages of love and affection conveyed.
Slowly, so as to give the omega a chance to stop him, Toji leaned forward and pressed his lips against the omega’s. After a few seconds, and much to his delight, he felt the other reciprocate and open his lips. Wasting no opportunity, Toji’s tongue darted between the pink lips to sample the offered paradise. He groaned.
Nanami tasted so good. He smelled divine.
Toji had spent so many nights up imagining holding the omega, kissing him, running his hands through the soft golden hair, laying him down in his bed, removing his clothes and tasting the heaven between his thighs.
But he had resisted following up on his fantasies and pushing the man and risk scaring him away.
But now it seemed that the omega really did reciprocate his affections.
Toji groaned and broke the kiss. He brought his forehead against Nanami’s. His eyes held one question.
News of Nanami and Toji’s marriage came as to no surprise to their family and friends who knew them. It spread quickly.
And just as quickly came the news of Getou and Gojo’s disappearance.
Unable to get pregnant, nor able to secure a surrogate to supply Gojo with an heir, the clan had wasted no time in breaking off the two men’s bond.
But if the Gojo clan thought that that would have been the end of it, they were surprised when Gojo announced that he was leaving the clan and the sorcery world. He was taking his mate and their daughters away to live a reclusive and peaceful life away from the jujutsu world.
Now Gojo didn’t need an heir.
He didn’t need the clan.
All he needed was Getou and the twins.
When Nanami received the letter from Gojo and Getou detailing their leave of the sorcery world and an apology for all that they’d done to him, he was shocked and angry. They had virtually ruined his life and violated his body and all they could think up in apology was a letter saying they were sorry?!
He had spent a year in hiding and on the run, and the only thing he got for it was that they were sorry?!?
But then Nanami sighed.
He let the anger drain out of him.
It didn’t matter.
At least this now meant that he would not have to keep looking over his shoulder in fear. They had gone away and he would never run across them in Japan ever again.
He almost felt…sorry for the two.
Tossing the letter away and rising from his seat, Nanami returned to the bed he shared with his husband. Toji, half asleep and missing the omega’s warmth, rolled over and wrapped him in his arms before drawing him closer and falling asleep again.
THE END
