Loki crossed his arms in the New York park. His suit was completely black from head to toe. He was waiting for Thor to arrive for their appointment. They had been here for several weeks on business with his brother. So he hadn't seen Sylvie for a long time. Which made him increasingly irritated not to touch her or feel her skin. Hearing her breath against his ear and-
Suddenly Thor was tapping his shoulder, snapping out of his thoughts.
‘You're late.’ Loki protested, moody.
Thor felt no remorse, he smiled, ‘Having responsibilities is not so simple, dear brother.’ Thor replied.
Loki sighed, uncrossing his arms. ‘That's why I left you this role and why I don't want a throne.’
‘You have changed, dear brother.’ Thor retorted, they looked at each other kindly. Then they looked out at the lake before them in the late spring. There were lots of people out in the warmer weather.
Loki started walking along the path, talking about various things. Loki then saw the place where he had been teleported with his brother after the attack on New York. The chains on his wrists and ankles, and the mask over his mouth. It still seemed very strange to come back here without being considered a villain. A threat. He'd changed a lot, and Sylvie had made him even more of a different person. And to reconsider what he really wanted. After saving the whole universe, he had changed.
Thor began to discuss the place where he had thought he had seen this danger, this fugitive from one of the planets Thor was protecting. He had taken refuge on Earth and there seemed to be a lot of evidence that he wanted to attack this city. Loki knew it all already, so rolled his eyes as his brother repeated himself.
‘Okay, I know, I know. This is getting boring.’ Loki cut him off, already raising his hand to teleport out of time and come to the front of the place. Thor clenched his fists because he'd left just like that, without even waiting for him because he still had a bit of walking to do to get to that big bookshop in New York.
Loki put his hands in his pockets, the immense staircase in front of him. His head lifted by the endless height. ‘I'm going to like this.’ His voice hummed.
He took one step after another, like a stallion, head held high, to enter this monumental library. Thor ran through the streets trying to catch up with Loki, who was about to begin his plan without even waiting for him.
Loki pushed open the big door with his magic gently and found himself in a gigantic hall too. He looked up, it was magnificently beautiful. The ceiling was filled with gold embroidery and frescoes. He took his hands out of his pockets, touching a sculpture as he took another set of stairs leading to a second floor. It was quite crowded, so even more risky if this menace wanted to do something serious here.
Young human ladies walked past him on the white marble steps, smiling embarrassedly, as if disturbed by his beauty. And Loki knew it, he understood it. He felt like himself, perfect. In the past, he would probably have stopped these ladies, approached them, flattered them, but that didn't even cross his mind any more. He loved Sylvie, he had found his destiny: Sylvie. He just returned his smile and reached the top. The ladies giggled before continuing on their way.
He entered the first opening, there were tables, several snaking staircases at the sides, leading to piles of aisles filled with books. It was endless.
‘Wow.’ He breathed, overwhelmed himself. When Thor finally arrived, and was breathing hard from running for several minutes.
‘Loki. Hng. W-Why did-you leave-without me?’ He grumbled, his voice loud and cut. Some people looked at them, to express that it wasn't polite to speak so loudly in a library.
‘Shh.’ Loki replied quickly, staring at him earnestly. Like moralizing to his brother, while he himself was speaking loud in this place. Thor swallowed, trying to catch his breath. ‘You're here anyway.’ Loki continued weakly, winking.
Thor squinted, dropping this childish game. He regained his seriousness, looked around, himself taken by everything there was. Even if it seemed as immense as those in Asgard in the past. He missed it.
‘Well, what now?’ Loki asked. Thor looked at him. ‘We'll split up, you search the west aisle and I'll do the other. If you see anything suspicious or feel a non-human person, you teleport to me discreetly and tell me. And we go together. Is that clear?’
Loki was replacing his black tie properly, already annoyed with his orders.
‘Yeah, yeah.’ Then turned to walk in the direction he'd been told. Without even waiting to be sure whether his brother had finished or not. Thor took the other side, looking for this threatening person.
Loki walked around all the tables to show the first level of these snake-shaped stairs. He entered one side and walked with benches on the sides filled with cushions, people were here to read, study, do research. He entered an alley with several shelves filled with books. They all looked the same. One of many. He raised his arm to run his fingers along the edges, reading the titles slowly.
He stopped at a section filled with astrology, his favourite subject. He opened the book, turning a few pages. He told himself that Thor would be enough to look at for a few minutes. He rested his lower back on the edge of one of the shelves to read for a while.
After a moment, he felt a presence that he knew so well, that he could feel everywhere. The only one, Sylvie. He looked up, looked to one side of the aisle as if he was going to see her. But there was nothing. He closed the book anyway, too curious, and put it back in its place before walking in the direction where he felt this strong bond.
Thor continued to search on his own, without having seen anything special yet. Maybe it wasn't here. He continued to inspect anyway.
Loki passed the various aisles, looking into one of the empty spaces on one of the shelves at his height, and saw a bare back with a shoulder, and blonde curls on the spine, caressed her skin before disappearing. He frowned. He teleported to the other side to try and catch up with this weird person. He gasped when he saw Sylvie there. She walked slowly, her fingers caressing the edges of the books beside her.
She turned around better, "Hello, Loki."
Loki seemed to be dreaming. She had come all this way with her timepad. She missed him as much he did. Sylvie turned herself once again after she shared him a smile at him. She took the corner of the path to turn, her hand gripping the edge of the bookshelf before disappearing too, still staring at him with sensual eyes for him to follow. Loki began to smile, himself entering into her game of cat and mouse.
He had already forgotten what he had come here to do with his brother. He missed Sylvie too much. He needed to see her and she had come. He hurried to follow her. Sylvie lifted her dress a little to walk faster and get away from him. Loki began to laugh, despite the fact that the place had to remain silent. He did not care anymore. As if in a labyrinth, Loki was following Sylvie, trying to lose him. Loki went the other way to try and catch her at the end of the path. But Sylvie found another way and laughed back.
Loki gave her the eyes of an unhappy cat. She climbed a few steps up the light staircase to pick up a book.
‘So this is your important mission?’ She asked him, turning a page as she came back down, not really reading, as Loki walked forward at the same slow pace. Loki put his hands in his pockets. Lifting his chin, his eyes full of mischief.
‘Apparently. Then I saw a goddess here.’ He replied back, keeping up the role-play with her.
‘Sorry, but I missed you too much. But... Your brother probably needs you...’ Sylvie continued. Turning another page, still stepping back. Loki gently took the book from her hands to put it back in its place with his magic.
‘I think he'll be fine.’ Loki reassured Sylvie. By lying half the time.
Sylvie's back was stopped by a cabinet of books in a closed corner of the aisles.
‘It seems you can't escape me now.’ Loki said sensually.
She looked up at him and her hands went to the edge of the bookshelf behind her body.
‘What a pity.’ She said softly but playfully. ‘Shall I shout for help?’ She asked, licking her bottom lip.
He replied then, ‘Mmm... or something else.’ With a sensual smile, showing his white teeth.
Loki cupped her cheeks to brush his mouth against her pink lips, which tasted of raspberries. Sylvie breathed softly, while Loki was already breathing heavily. They kissed lovingly, filled with envy. Which was bursting after being held for so many weeks without each other.
Thor continued his search when he found several small devices under certain shelves. He frowned. The menace was definitely there. He really was up to something.
Sylvie broke the kiss, making a sound, before pushing his black jacket off his shoulders slightly. Loki didn't stop her. He was watching her like an animal ready to eat his prey now.
‘You seem to have lost someone.’ She whispered, seeing him wearing only black. ‘I'm rather depressed about being without you. But you look same...’ He answered, he noticed her own black gown.
Sylvie rubbed her palms on his biceps over the fabric of his black shirt.
‘You know...-’ Loki began to explain softly.
But Sylvie cut him off by placing her finger over his mouth half open. 'Mm-'
‘No. Shut up.’ She ordered, softly.
His eyes remained open and downcast on her. He kissed her finger delicately in response. She lowered her finger, he looked behind him, around to check. They were on the historical area.
Sylvie took hold of his jaw to bring him back to her attention. He panted, with a trembling smile. She raised her bare arms around his neck slowly. Her fingers rolled around his curls. Loki wrapped his arms around her back before lifting her abruptly to sit her on an edge of a shelf.
‘Oh-’ She squeaked back.
'Mm.' They kissed tenderly before breaking the kiss to whisper quickly, ‘Thor's going to kill me-’ He returned to pressing their lips together again, more sensually. After she unbuttoned some buttons, Sylvie moved her bare arms to run her hands down behind him, into his shirt that had half fallen off his shoulders.
They were panting faintly, not caring if they were seen or not. Loki pushed her long dress off her thighs, feeling her soft skin between his fingers. The fabric was tangling with them. Oh, her beautiful skin. Her smell. Sylvie stopped their kisses to continue down his neck, loosening his black tie a little to gain access to his neck. His cologne was so good, Sylvie thought. ‘You smell so good.’ She breathed in between her kisses.
He panted, closing his eyes a little. His palms rubbed her thighs between her hips deeper, further inside them. Already his swollen crotch. ‘Sylvie...’ He breathed, pleading, suffering from not having been able to see her for so long. Touch her. Or make love to her for so many weeks. His hand came between her thighs, inside them, ready to caress her there.
When suddenly, Thor found Loki, panicked at having seen these devices leading to a bomb somewhere.
‘Loki? Oh, Loki, you're here, we've got to-’ Thor explained, approaching, still seeing him from behind. But he stopped to talk.
Sylvie stood up a little, putting her dress back on. Embarrassed. Loki remained leaning forward. He only turned his head lightly, not even taking the time to step back or stand up to hide this private scene, his hand still on one of the steps of this small wooden staircase next to him. His upper body half undressed. He sighed, looking over the books arranged before his eyes. ‘Great...’
Thor opened his mouth in shock. He turned around finally. He opened his arms wide with a mischievous smile. 'Hey... Brother...' Sylvie was now holding her hand out towards Thor. ‘Hello, I'm Sylvie.’ Trying to lighten the mood of the disturbing scene early. But Thor didn't change the way he looked at his brother. His eyes turned cold and his anger grew at seeing him doing this on this mission.
‘You're really-’ Thor was going to come at Loki and grab him.
But Loki raised his hand to freeze time, move and go back.
_________
He went back several minutes, and took his body back at the moment he had decided, already knowing what would happen next. He knew Sylvie was coming. He grabbed Sylvie's hand this time before she even caught him in the aisles. He quickly pulled her away from that part of the library.
‘Loki? What...’ She was even surprised now, but not so much because she knew that Loki loved to play with time. She understood at once.
He tried somewhere else so Thor wouldn't find them. He took her down a corridor that led to the emergency exit below, so it wasn't very busy. People did not go there. Sylvie followed him. She opened her jacket again, loosened his black tie. ‘Quiet at last.' He commented.
They kissed passionately. 'Mm. Mm. Yeah. Mm.' He opened his trousers enough without pulling them down. Sylvie watched him. He put his arms under her thighs to lift her up and hold her against the wall. She gasped, her hands over his shoulders. She pushed her dress itself off her thighs to let him come more against her inside. ‘I've missed you.’ Sylvie breathed. 'Oh, me too.' Loki moaned back.
But Thor was finding him too. Loki and Sylvie froze at this point, becoming motionless in their movements.
‘Never at peace!’ Loki growled then back. He rolled his eyes too, lowering Sylvie off the wall again. Closing his trousers without turning around before doing so. Sylvie smiled once more, unaware that she had just done so a few minutes before.
‘Loki? Are you serious? W-’ Thor said already, his voice irritated. He came towards him to try and push him up against the wall.
Loki raised his hand again to stop time and come back earlier. Loki did the same thing over and over again, Sylvie not surprising him anymore, because he was always the one to do it, as he knew everything every time. He always tried to find another place that his brother wasn't going to find.
He pulled her hand to take her to any place in this library to try and make love so much they wanted each other.
Finding another place. Loki kissed Sylvie's breast then nipple after lowering her strap between two pillars behind her. The sofa close to them near windows. Sylvie moaned with pleasure. 'Shh.' He put his hand on her mouth to cut the noise. She tried to hold back the moans in his neck then.
But each time Thor found him to stop it, every fuck*ng time. 'Oh for God's sake!' Loki groaned. And here we go again, he closed his pants, Sylvie placed better her dress or hair. Thor still panicked and angry in his voice. Ready to grab Loki. Luckily he didn't know that he was reliving this moment over and over again. He tried again and again and again. He was pushing Thor out of the place with his magic, even before he threw himself at Loki. Or Loki growled, causing books to be ejected from the shelves in frustration after a while. People turned their heads and watched.
Then he'd start all over again. This time he made her go into the cleaning cubicle. Sylvie tilted her head. ‘It's not very sexy.’
‘Yeah well, it's either this place, or my brother will find us again.’ Loki explained, but Sylvie crossed her arms. He sighed. Then raised his hand again to do it all over again.
He held out his hand, looking for a place, he didn't know where because it had to be discreet because of all the people. We could see them walking everywhere in this library places, Loki in front while Sylvie followed behind him, rushing her steps, as he pulled her hand.
Sylvie was pointing upstairs. There were several of them. Loki could already see Thor in the distance, already looking for him.
He rushed out of her sight and quickly took the stairs, one of many, with Sylvie. She laughed, trying to keep up with his speed, on the verge of falling between the steps in her long, flowing dress. But Loki kept her from stumbling.
They passed between the few people on the floors up to the last one. They crossed between the shelves, always looking for a place. Then he noticed one of the devices that Thor was repeating before Loki started again and turned back time. But he didn't stop about it.
There was a door leading to some stairs and the roof of the library. Sylvie saw it and pushed him in. Loki was proud of her and happy. She slammed the door behind him with her back.
‘If Thor finds us here, I swear-Mm!’
Sylvie was already kissing him, taking his cheeks. She was already opening his belt and trousers quickly. The sound of his belt buckle echoed in this closed corridor of this staircase. He panted into her mouth. Their tongues rubbing together, one against the other. His black trousers slipped a little from his hips. He broke the kiss to place his lips on her neck, then on her breasts inside her dress. Sylvie backed to one side, panting, looking up at the ceiling above them.
He lowered one hand to slip it under her dress and caress her. Finally. Sylvie was gripping the railing behind her in the middle of the stairs. Her knees began to tremble so much that her legs twitched downwards. She moaned against his jaw as his caresses ran through her entire core of pleasure. ‘Oh, Loki...’
Then he removed his fingers, and he lifted her. She wrapped her legs around his waist to hold on. Her back came against the wall, carrying her. Loki nibbled her neck, her jaw, lowering his free hand to take his manhood into his black pants half open and guide it into her under her dress.
Her knees rested on his hips curved, moaning in her ear. Her fingers gripped his shoulders. Loki gritted his teeth, tilting his hips upwards, going for desperate gesture to guide himself into Sylvie.
When there was the sound of an explosion in the library. Then they stopped immediately, again...., he moved his jaw to the side. Loki looked at the door, which had remained closed. ‘You've got to be kidding me?!’ Loki yelled, irritated.
He put Sylvie back on the steps. ‘What's going on?’ Sylvie asked, worried. She was putting her dress back on, halfway out of her skin. He put his trousers back on, fastened his belt and opened the door fast. Ready to fight anyone.
‘Is it possible to be quiet? When it's not my brother, it's-’ He stopped to talk when he saw that part of the library had exploded from one of those devices put in certain places. Sylvie put her hand over her mouth. Everyone fled.
‘Loki!’ Thor ran towards him. Thor saw him with a woman he had not seen before. He pulled Loki's arm away to talk.
‘What the hell have you been doing? I've been looking everywhere for you! Look at this! This is here! There are bombs placed in this library!’
Loki stood looking at the people on the floor, screaming to get out. The alarm started ringing. ‘I was... Oh, forget it.’ Loki replied. Sylvie was in shock. Loki looked at her, calming his anger and understanding now. The mission was important. He had to do something. 'I will fix this.' He told her. Sylvie nodded.
He raised his hand to stop time and return before the explosion.
-----------
Back early, he was holding Sylvie's hand, but he wasn't looking for a corner to have a moment with her. He quickly explained the situation. He stopped where he had seen the devices under one of the pieces of furniture. Sylvie was also looking for where she could find them too.
Thor joined them, but this time he didn't see anything strange about Loki with this woman. Sylvie held out her hand to greet him, ‘Hello, I'm Sylvie.’
Thor tilted his head, before answering with the smile of a very disciplined king, ‘Hi... I'm Thor. Nice to meet you.’ He replied. He took her hand to place a kiss gently on her soft pink skin, but quickly returned to the situation when he saw a man taking the stairs rather quickly.
Loki could see him crossing below but Loki knew it wasn't a human. He could feel it. It was a Skrull. He showed Thor, who was clutching the railing in rage. He raised his hand to call his Stormbreaker. Sylvie watched from a distance, quickly taking the stairs to try and catch him before he pressed down on whatever was in his hand to start the explosions.
‘Get out! There are bombs!’ Sylvie screamed at the same time, running to try and catch him. People began to rush for the exits, frightened. Her dress was flying in the wind.
‘Sylvie!’ Loki called to her from upstairs. Worried for her. She raised her hand to create magic and try to slow him down by dropping a floor of books on him. He fell to the floor but managed to get out. Thor watched from above before looking up at Loki. Impressed by Sylvie.
‘Sorry, I forgot to tell you she's the woman I love.’ Loki explained, with a tense chuckle and himself suddenly embarrassed, searching for the words to explain.
Thor launched his Stormbreaker to head for the Skrull without taking his eyes off his brother now.
‘We'll talk about this later, can we?’ He started to run for the bottom, chasing the enemy as well. Loki put his hands in his pockets, breathing, already annoyed by the situation and wanting to get it over with quickly. He used the time to step back again.
He raised his hand to stop time and travelled in it. He stepped back a few minutes and stood in front of the Skrull, who was about to press the device. Loki took it out of his hands, before resuming time. He stood in front of the enemy at the end.
The Skrull blinked, searching for his device before seeing Loki in his black suit, a smile on his face.
‘This is what you're looking for, right?’ Moving this in his hand, with a smile full of mischief.
Putting his free hand in his pocket, Sylvie joined him, ready to attack him again. But she held back when she realised that Loki had the situation in hand.
‘Ah, I know... I know... How sad life is.’ Loki continued, as long as the Skrull was back in its original form. He was about to pounce on them.
Loki quickly pulled Sylvie back and took her by the hand, making another break with time and taking her with him into the way, out of time now. Everything became dark, as if in an empty place with no limits. This was the world of Loki's time. Nothing moved backwards or forwards here. Everything was frozen.
She fell backwards very poetically, like a dance. She began to smile, placing her left hand on the side of his curved forearm. Loki placed his left hand behind her bare back to hold her, and his right hand remained holding her hand up. Their fingers placed together.
She took hold of his neck, and they brushed their lips together before kissing. Nothing moved around them. There was just him and her. Nothingness, green sparkles all around them.
After several seconds, Loki gently broke the kiss, still caressing her lips between open ones. ‘I love you.’ He breathed. She opened her eyes to search his own. ‘I love you, too, my saviour.’
He pulled her to him to help her raise her upper body again. They were smiling at each other. ‘I think my brother likes you already.’ Loki said softly. Sylvie pushed at his hair, her eyes filled with love.
‘We'll have to postpone our moment, but I promise after that I'm all yours.’
Sylvie touched his tie listening before replying. ‘You'd better be.’ In a teasing way too.
He raised his hand to take back time, to bring them back a few seconds earlier. They held each other, Loki still had the device in his pocket. Very funny. All that was missing was the popcorn, so much so that they watched the Skrull search his hands again for his device before looking at them. Sylvie put her hand on her hip, both of them very proud of the little game.
‘I think maybe you should look behind you.’ Sylvie warned, pointing with her finger to look.
The Skrull didn't have time to react when, at the same time, the Stormbreaker hit the Skrull and sent him tumbling to the slippery floor of this large room, pushing some of the tables over by strength. Sylvie, surprised but amazed, loved it. They watched the cool scene, smiling with satisfaction. And loving what she saw. Like a little girl.
Thor came up beside them, picking up Stormbreaker until it ended up in his hand. The Skrull was trying to get up. Loki handed Thor the device and used his magic together with Sylvie to lift the Skrull to his feet, unable to flee or move. Sylvie came towards the Skrull, who grunted at being held. ‘Mission failed.'
Thor was coming up behind the enemy to hold him, until police officers were coming in to help.

They began to secure the perimeter and see where the Skrull had placed the points of the bomb.
Outside now, Sylvie came to Loki. Near the stairs. He pulled her against him to cuddle her. She stroked his jaw. He kissed her forehead slowly.
‘I did really well to come after all.’ Sylvie commented, searching his eyes.
‘And you're going to love what happens next.’ He declared, in her ear, she smiled before looking again at the Skrull taking and Thor returning close to them.
‘Well done, brother. Good thing I was here.’ Thor said.
Loki frowned. ‘I beg your pardon? I did everything.’ He attested. Thor turned his Stormbreaker on itself, proud.
‘Stop being a stallion in front of your beloved, brother.’ Thor retorted.
Loki opened his mouth to reply again something, Sylvie shook her head at their childish bickering.
Thor looked at Sylvie now. ‘It's made me hungry as a wolf. Would you three like something to eat? Apparently I need to get to know the woman who made my dear brother's heart skip a beat.’
Sylvie smiled sweetly. Then nodded. Loki's face changed again, more lightly. Thor closed his fist to push Loki's shoulder. 'Ouch.' Loki complained, placing his hand on his own shoulder because the pain.
‘Cool!’ Thor finished. He put away his Stormbreaker, throwing it far away, and they started walking together to leave the place. Loki held Sylvie's hand warmly.
