Chapter Text
Streaks of sunlight fluttered through the fabrics that shielded the open window left ajar, crisp winds dancing amongst the room as it stirred a slumbering form wrapped in silk. The glow of light left their skin illuminated; paled and seeming divine, as a larger hand rested on slender hips. Tugged his small frame against a massive form of muscle, hot breath teasing the other’s neck, fully pulling him from slumber. Amber hued eyes seemingly shimmering like molten gold amongst the rays of morning, remained a bit unfocused before steadying over the room; rolling their body to face the figure holding tight.
Eyes danced the frame; tanned skin fit with bulk. Slender fingers shifted along the larger body, grazing softly at the other’s chest before he heard a low chuckle that rumbled from the throat. Crimson eyes peered toward him; four in total, seeped in a lustful hunger as he was hoisted by large hands. A faint giggle leaving his pursed lips that showed his amusement. “Come now, you’re much too handsy this morning; especially with such importance to follow in the late morning. I unfortunately can’t keep you forever, Sukuna.”
The way those crimson eyes lightened to the name left a peaceful silence, though not before his small frame was tugged closer; chest tightly nestled to the large man, arms lacing around a thick neck and large fingers teasing his legs. A voice low; whispered with a purr, nose gently touching his own neck. “And say you, why can I not keep my beloved company. No one matters anyhow, so, why does it matter if my time is only offered to you?” A low hum was all that was offered before a shiver tore through his frame as the very next words; radiated in desire and want; like a drug to his very being, left him feeling weightless. “Hm, Yuuji? Tell me, who would dare overstep and demand my presence; especially when I’m so utterly busy.”
“Busy, huh?” Yuuji, who was appreciating the warmth of Sukuna couldn’t help but shift his arms as hands pressed lightly to firm skin, thumbs rolling along Sukuna’s cheeks as Yuuji smiled, inching his lips ever closer; yet straying from touch. A tease; the usual routine the two partook each dawn. “I wonder; what is it you deem as a priority? Me?”
“Mhm, of course.” Rosy hue kissed Yuuji’s expression as he leaned just a mere length closer, letting his lips brush, but not embrace. Not yet. He wanted Sukuna to chase; his heart thrumming within his chest. He did have to admit, the other was patient to the very fiber of their being for Yuuji. Always willing to play his games and often enjoying the fiasco that some would claim inappropriate if witnessed. However, within the rooms confines, their little dance was their privy.
The feeling of fingertips to his spine left him to tremble with anticipation as he dared another move. He allowed his hands to glide, touching Sukuna’s chest with vigor, feeling the crease of each muscle that defined the frame. A large being that dwarfed Yuuji in comparison, but someone perfect as well. A being that Yuuji, though long since married to; he would forever worship. His husband; a powerful force untouched and absolute.
“You let your mind wander too much. It worries me that you’ll someday run yourself lost with that head of yours.” A playful laugh flooded Yuuji’s lips, the corners of his eyes crinkling with joy.
“And I fear someday that your brashness will be my undoing, Sukuna.” The being before him huffed with amusement before Yuuji dared to work their dance a bit more, leaning away the moment the other leaned in. A teasing smile plastered to his features as he let Sukuna’s arms hold him of all the support. One of the four hands laid on his back, withstanding his weight; not that he weighed much to begin with. He was always small; raised in a family of nameless people. No power. No lineage. Truth was, his marriage to Sukuna had been a blessing; no matter his worries in the beginning. He’d not denied his fears early on, but now; the hulking creature before him was everything he looked to. The sun to his mornings and the moon to his nights. His pleasure in quiet and the joy in company. His lonely life of wanting everything and gaining nothing was now layered in priceless gold and effortless adoration. Enough so that it poured his very being to the marrow of his stature with content and limitless loyalty for the one man that saved him.
Once more, Sukuna seemed to notice Yuuji’s mind begin to wander and took the opportunity, his frame sitting up in their bed, blankets sliding with each movement before it found its way beneath. Yuuji, who had been before and above Sukuna, now laid below, enveloped in the large frame and cradled by gentle touch. An ever growing smile touched Sukuna’s lips as he watched Yuuji’s skin flush. Felt the heat pool on the pale skin and left his hand to wander, tracing down one thigh with desire dripping from his actions. A hungering plea to ravish the body below him.
He’d played his part in the game. Allowed Yuuji to toy around and lure him into devious worship and now, Sukuna wanted nothing more. He wanted to taste him again; to bask in his taste and cherish the music that would remedy his mind. It left him smiling wide, now drawing his fingers below the fabrics of Yuuji’s garments. Enjoying how each touch of skin to skin felt like lava; burning into their beings and molding them together.
It was a dance even then as Sukuna worked slow and steadily; tracing each curve he already knew by memory. Yuuji was perfectly etched into his mind, but he’d never deny that he craved to retrace each section. To once more assure nothing changed; that no feature was altered by another. He trusted Yuuji with the world and knew the other’s heart well; just how deep the love they shared was stitched together. What they were was as close to forever as possible while one was still by technicalities ‘human’.
Bringing fingers closer to the dip along Yuuji’s hips, he watched Yuuji hold in a breath, a tremor shaking his body as it left Sukuna to hum in content. He felt full just watching Yuuji; and soon, he’d be drunk on the pleasure. Obsessed with the frame he adored trembling below him. Crying his name and grabbing him closer. It was poisonous to his very being and yet, ever so addicting. It left him leaning back before two of his hands glided along Yuuji’s legs, pressing firmly to flesh. Kneading it as his third hand finally hit gold. He watched with lidded eyes; grateful in the way the other sucked in a breath, such a small arm and hand reaching out and pressing to Sukuna’s abdomen. Well kept nails damaging him little as they dug into his hardened flesh as pleasure seemed to bubble within Yuuji.
It blossomed at the lower parts of his shaft, spiraling like a liquid heat that pooled into his stomach and coursed to his mind. A fiery warmth that teetered below the surface as Sukuna allowed rough hands to work Yuuji of any thoughts that muddled his mind. Sukuna demanded attention and he’d pull the others from whatever world they might have slipped into; as Yuuji was always quite the dreamer. Now, however; Yuuji was drowning in a growing fever. Each stroke of Sukuna’s hand undid a part of Yuuji, left him trying to find stability; but Sukuna wanted madness. He wanted them both submerged and suffocated in bliss. It left his fourth hand to hover before Yuuji was struck with sensation, his legs shaking as his cries bellowed out. “Ah~ Sukuna… Mhm…”
Truth was, patience was never Sukuna’s strongest suit. Especially when it came to Yuuji and the times behind closed doors. He always wanted to keep it slow and bring the other to euphoria, but he was a greedy thing. It left him teasing fingers into Yuuji’s mouth, chewing his lip slightly at the sight of tongue caressing his digits. Playing with both fingers as Yuuji’s lips broke into a twisted smile. It nearly had Sukuna falling head first into lust; but he steadied his heart. His words were low and strained; just a show to Yuuji that restraint was a blessing. “Such a troublesome one. Tell me, how would you like it today, hm? Rough, like always. A bit soft and slow, riding the fine line of ecstasy? Or should I make you quake with tremors as your mind muddles into mush; capsized by lust that you lose your sense of self. Tell me, which seems to interest you?” Sukuna leaned into Yuuji, brushing his length that had hardened quickly against Yuuji; feeling the other shift for friction. Anticipation leaked from the small form, breaths a quivering mess. “Shall I choose then, since words seem to be lost from you?”
Yuuji, who was already lingering on a plane of bubbling elation could only nod as Sukuna smiled with victory, his hand layered in saliva now lowered below the fabric and brought to Yuuji’s bottom. Hovered as the hands on his thighs now pulled his legs more open before spreading him as Sukuna gently eased his fingers in. It wasn’t as if Yuuji was new to this. His body had greatly evolved to accept him perfectly, but Sukuna hated seeing Yuuji in pain. It left him to work the flesh of Yuuji’s bottom before he spread his fingers within, watching the way the form below him writhed in pleasure. It made him tease Yuuji before he curled his fingers, giving a satisfied sigh when he saw the other arch; a plethora of sounds leaving those parts and dry lips. It made Sukuna chuckle, bringing his own to Yuuji’s, embracing the kiss that deepened and with it, so too did Sukuna’s working on opening Yuuji up.
Three fingers soon evolved to four before Sukuna found his restraint rather bent and soon, abandoned as he removed the fingers all at once, feeling joyful when Yuuji whined at the emptiness before the hands not holding Yuuji’s bottom shifted the fabric further up and took his own length in his hand. Aimed it at the entrance, enticed by the way Yuuji almost puckered for him before he pressed greedily inside. Felt the other take him without resistance and watched Yuuji grab his clothes roughly to find purchase. It ultimately left Sukuna to remove his hands from Yuuji’s lower parts and pull him off the mattress, leaving gravity to force him the rest of the way in as Yuuji leaned heavily against his large frame. Cries leaving those lips as Sukuna laid back, shifting his weight to give elation to the body above him. He felt purged of his own worries, watching as Yuuji leaned a bit back, tears streaking his cheeks from pleasure and a hand resting on his stomach as Sukuna once more bounced his hips. Amusement dripped from his expression as hands grabbed his shoulders and Yuuji himself worked to find release. To drown in what they both hungered for.
All it took was Yuuji looking at Sukuna and begging for more for him to plummet his mind into his actions. He grabbed Yuuji’s hips with aggression, pulling him down to sheath as far as possible before lifting the other once more and eventually thrusting back up. The angle left Yuuji mewling as Sukuna knew he was at his mercy; as it always was. A vicious cycle of thrusts that knocked the breath from tight lungs and left legs trembling and Yuuji’s very sweet and delicate voice nothing more than mumbling sounds.
It all was Sukuna’s unraveling and he felt how the heat built in his groins. A burning sensation of lust that coiled his gut and by Yuuji’s face, had long since swallowed the other whole. It left Sukuna pulling Yuuji flush to his chest as he thrusted deep inside; feeling the way the other screamed out, heavy breathes rolling from parched lips as Sukuna felt the heat inside explode out. Like a wave, it rolled into Yuuji; thick and constant. A wave of pleasure danced his tongue as he chuckled slowly, watching Yuuji struggle to sit upright. It left him to do what any husband would; to pamper Yuuji.
Carefully shifting, he pulled Yuuji off him, smiling at the way Yuuji seemed upset at the sheer cold that kissed him now. Sukuna laid him on the blankets, tucking the spare on the still trembling frame as Sukuna himself rose from the bed, stretching out his back as a choir of cracks filled the space. It wasn’t until he heard shifting on the bed that he glanced at Yuuji, who had pulled the blanket closer.
Bending low, Sukuna placed a gentle kiss on Yuuji's temple, smiling as the other quickly pressed one to his lips. He pulled back just slightly, running a hand through that head of salmon hair, brushing his thumb along still slightly reddened cheeks. “I shall return to check on you later. Rest, understood?” Though he didn’t receive words, as Yuuji had chosen to welcome sleep, he knew that Yuuji would listen. His words were law; not just because of his standing; but because the other knew Sukuna cared more for him than the very world. To him, Yuuji would always be his weakness; but one that he would never betray. Especially after their binding; as the two had made an oath and exchanged something irreversible. No matter what, they would forever be interconnected.
Standing tall, Sukuna finally dressed himself, quietly exiting the room before he moved down the halls, making note of Uraume at the end. They bowed their head, voice low as they seemed to sense Yuuji’s state of slumber. That was one thing, Uraume was most loyal and because of that, oftentimes they watched over Yuuji. Trust was precious and Sukuna had faith in his most loyal servant. Weakness or not, he assured Yuuji was safest.
“My lord, I come bearing news that your guest for today’s meeting has arrived. I left him in the farthest room from here.” Sukuna nodded in acknowledgement before he glanced at Uraume, tapping his chin as he sighed. He did hate meetings with pointless people; especially when he’d have rather stayed laid beside his slumbering wife. But duties were his to uphold, leaving him to motion toward the room.
“He is resting, so wait for him to wake. Once he is up, bathe him and assist in dressing him.” Uraume nodded before adding onto Sukuna’s words. Not that he minded.
“Shall I wake them if they still slumber by lunch?”
“I see no reason to. They will alert you when hungry, so only what I asked needs to be done.” Once more they bowed their head as Sukuna dismissed himself, wandering down the halls. He was truly in a good mood; though, he supposed that would only last so long.
And last; it did not. Upon entering the meeting chamber, Sukuna was rather displeased to see a familiar face. Or at least the energy signatures that he remembered. The face itself was new, but that was what the curse before him did. A parasite in his profound opinion. That said, he took his seat at the end of the table before being greeted. “It’s a pleasure to see you this morning. Tell me, how is your wife doing these days? It sounded as if it was pleasant to say the least; ah, how jealous I am of you.” There was a looming silence before the curse saw the slashes cut around them. However, it bothered them none as they kept smiling, pulling their eyes closed as they breathed a sigh etched in laughter. “You know I only joke around. I have no desire for what is yours, I assure.”
“That is wise, as I’d have minced you otherwise. Now hurry with it. I’ve not all day.” The curse nodded, tapping their chin as they began speaking; Sukuna listening as he found himself in disbelief at what the other was saying.
“I wished to bring a proposal for the future. Surely you suffer boredom with no decent fights. A powerful foe like you has no equal. So I wished to ask you to allow me someday in the future to experiment.” Sukuna raised a brow, tilting his head slightly. He was sure the other could notice his annoyance.
“And what would you ask of me? Your fantasies are your own.”
“Ah, but that is where you’re wrong. I ask you to allow me to someday use your body; cursed and omnipotent; to bring a better future. We know well that Sorcerers are a dying case and curses seem to never end. I want to see if in the future; just how the world will play out.” There was a lingering silence before Sukuna spoke.
“You’re sure of this, how?” The other, Kenjaku as he called himself, gave a small shrug.
“Truth is, it’s speculation. But I know you desire a worthy fight.”
“Maybe, but I’ll not leave Yuuji alone. I am content with him around.” Sukuna watched how the other let their gaze darken, however it was quickly squashed as they sighed, rising from their seat.
“I see. It’s a shame, but I cannot convince you otherwise. If ever you change your mind, do let me know. You, and only you, know where to find me. I appreciate the time you’ve given to me.” Sukuna didn’t say a word, merely left; hardly concerned on what expression Kenjaku wore. He instead moved down the hall toward the library where he sat himself on the window ledge and glanced through a scroll, merely enjoying the little bit of serenity that his life had. All thanks to Yuuji, he supposed. A thought that left a smile on his face as he continued on through the day in a hushed silence.
He prayed the peace remained; though somewhere deep down, he knew it was a fleeting hope. He of all people hardly deserved happiness and the fates seemed desperate to remind him of it.
It had been nearly a month since Kenjaku’s visit that Yuuji had ventured toward town under Sukuna’s permission with Uraume in tow. He had borrowed funds to hopefully buy some parchment and ink. He desperately wanted to write and having run out of supplies; it left him no choice. Thankfully, there wasn’t any issue this time.
Slipping along the roadways, he hurried toward the one stall he usually went to. It sold the only parchment available and while it was expensive, money was hardly an issue for Yuuji. It left him slipping past the crowd of people as he stopped at the stall and offered the coin, placing his order. He usually had to wait for his orders, so it left him a few spare hours around town, leaving him and Uraume to wander toward the denser areas. Unfortunately, Yuuji was always enraptured by something, be it his mind or something he saw. This time was no different, leaving him to walk and be unaware as he’d grown separated from his guide. It wasn’t until he reached the northern side that he finally turned to talk to Uraume and realized his mistake, his expression pulling flat on his face. He knew full well word would reach Sukuna when they were home and once more, he would be refused travel without the other’s company. Though he supposed it wasn’t too bad. Yuuji truly felt safe in Sukuna’s presence.
That said, Yuuji currently wasn’t feeling too well. He was a bit nervous, as he’d ventured into one of the darker parts of town, where most the poor lived. Crime was higher here, not that Yuuji couldn’t fend for himself. Sukuna had assured he taught him ways to protect himself and with the vow they made and ritual they partook in, Yuuji had more than enough strength. Though, he would prefer to avoid taking a life; not that he wouldn’t if called upon.
He moved toward the direction he believed he walked in, shifting through alleys and watching just how gloomy the roadways were. Sickness was rampant in the parts he traveled, and he felt a bit helpless in terms of assisting. He simply wasn’t able to help.
That said, he was aware that there were still those that sought harm on others, just as the group before him that had taken long looks his way. It was no secret that Sukuna had someone he fancied, though it was kept locked tight. Maybe it was the reason they dared to approach, as they didn’t know the danger of the situation.
One step turned to many before Yuuji himself was surrounded and for once, he was rather annoyed. He had merely wanted to shop, not be harassed. It left him sighing as he glared at the taller of the three males. “Might I ask you to move out of my way?” There was a moment before a hand touched his shoulder, leaving him to shrug it off before he furrowed his brow. “Let me rephrase that. Move, or I’ll kill you. Is that clearer?” The three males laughed before practically shoving against Yuuji and he felt his restraint snap, his fingers itching to move and kill the three, though he stopped when a hand shoved past his head and ultimately slammed into one of the three males’ faces. They fell to the ground before Yuuji turned to see a smiling face behind him; rather shady in Yuuji’s opinion. Though he wasn’t one to ignore gratitude. “I appreciate the help… Um, what might I call you?” The figure smiled, both ignoring as the three males hurried to leave. A small glint of something indistinguishable in the stranger’s gaze.
“Call me Kenjaku, a friend of your husband. I’ve been hoping to meet you, and might I say, I am grateful it was today. Trouble seems to find you.” Yuuji rubbed his neck but nodded. It wasn’t a lie. He got into trouble a ton.
“Well, I greatly appreciate it. Might I ask for assistance in finding my aid? They lost me somewhere in the market area.” Kenjaku seemed to ponder it, giving a nod, though not before voicing themself.
“I have no issue but allow me to offer you tea first. I know a great place that makes the best herbal teas out there. Surely, you’re thirsty after that encounter.” Yuuji hesitated. He knew he was required to find Uraume, but he felt obligated to accept. Kenjaku had helped him after all; so, it left him to agree, following behind the other as they headed what Yuuji thought was west. Though he soon found himself wrong when they left the village itself. They made it to a wooden home along the pathways that led toward the forest, Yuuji feeling a bit more uncertain of things. However, he ignored the feeling and carried on, taking a seat outside the building as Kenjaku entered.
What was approximately five minutes left Yuuji enough time to settle his worries before he was met with Kenjaku leaving the building with two steaming cups of tea. He offered one to Yuuji, who gave it a whiff before noting the honey scent. It was a luxury, leaving him baffled before he took a small sip; embracing the sweetness on his tongue as Kenjaku sat beside him. “Sukuna doesn’t mention you much; if at all. I feared I would never know the face of the name.”
“Ah, you did say you were close to my husband. Friends, or just acquaintances?” Kenjaku seemed to ponder before he smiled slightly bitterly.
“Friends, I hope. Just as I wish to befriend you. I met your husband a month back truthfully and asked him for a deal.” Yuuji hummed, taking a larger sip this time before he spoke.
“He refused, I am to assume?” There was a nod and once more Yuuji drank another sip, ignoring the faint tightness in his chest. He believed it to be nerves. “May I ask of this deal? Maybe I could convince him to assist?”
“I’m grateful, but I know he’d refuse either way. You want to know his reasoning for refusing?” Yuuji nodded, taking another sip before he cleared his throat, glancing at the tea. It wasn’t until he met Kenjaku’s gaze that he saw the crooked smile and menacing eyes. It was as if the truth hit him in full and hit him hard, his eyes once more dropping to the tea as words spilled into his mind. “You. He refused because he had you around, so I thought up a plan. All it took was playing hero and leading your assistant away. You truly are sheltered by him, huh?”
“You-” Yuuji felt his vision blur as he tried to stand, swaying a bit as he lashed out, not sure where he was aiming. Everything was blending together in his eyes. One slash he sent toward what he believed to be Kenjaku, but by the laughter; he knew he’d missed.
“Ah, I see. It makes sense. You two did the ritual and traded parts of each other’s souls! That makes this much easier on my plans.” Yuuji, who was struggling to stay upright, felt the strain in his chest. Like something was eating him alive. It was an emptiness, but also a burning rage. A rage that was Sukuna’s, who no doubt sensed Yuuji’s life was in danger. It was one of the many benefits to their ritual back when they married. A vow of forever, but also to remain connected via the soul. It had been Sukuna’s idea and Yuuji had agreed without hesitation. “Why not rest. My plans will continue and now, I don’t have to worry too much about the outcome. You’re not entirely human now, anyway.” Yuuji stumbled before falling back, his head hitting the ground as he felt dazed. Tired truthfully. His breathing was sharp and short, leaving his blood flow too slow as his muscles grew weak. He could hear Kenjaku say something, but the words were amiss in the growing silence as he felt his lung catch and refuse to work. The pounding of his heart slowed, and his body felt cold as an icy grip creeped around his soul, smothering it completely. Dragging him into a black abyss that crushed him into nothing. As if his being was turned into nothing; completely shredded to the very atoms. The last thing he truly felt was the feeling of small fragments pelting his skin like heavy rainfall before everything faded into oblivion. Nothing, not even sound as his soul was encased in a blank space.
