Work Text:
She huffed and ran her fingers through her hair, grumbling as she continued to do her math homework.. from last week.
Kwami, it was getting hard to keep up on homework with being Ladybug. Sure, she's got more help now, and the battles are shorter...
But she was still needed to purify akumas and-
A knock on her skylight interrupted her thoughts and she quickly gave Tikki a look, silently telling the tiny god to hide.
She stood up and climbed up her loft, seeing a blur of yellow through the skylight, making her grin. She got up her bed and pulled the hatch open, climbing out of it.
"Mari!" She giggled as the hero before her helped her up, smiling softly as she was hugged.
"Missed me already? You visit every other night, you know." Queen Bee pouted, dramatically crossing her arms with a humph, looking away from the designer and lifting her chin up.
"Fine, I'll leave since you don't want me here!" She turned away and climbed onto the balcony railing, her wings buzzing as if getting ready to take off.
Marinette rolled her eyes in amusement and grabbed the bee hero's hand, intertwining their fingers.
"You're always so dramatic. You know that's not what I meant." The baker giggled and turned the blonde around, giving her a chaste kiss.
The heiress blushed and smiled, grinning from ear to ear as her eyes reflected the light from the warm lantern on the balcony.
"You're such a dork." The ravenette snorted and leaned in for another kiss, a much longer one this time. She cupped the bee's cheek and felt her melt into her touch. She couldn't suppress the smile as they both pulled away.
"Come on, I have some honey croissants for you." The bee's wings buzzed, something Marinette noticed was the heiress' way of showing her excitement.
One of the many things she found endearing about the bee hero.
"What're you doing, ma fleur?"
"Math homework." Marinette sighed, tilting her head to the side as Queen Bee nuzzled her neck, her eyes looking over to Marinette's tablet.
"I can help you if you want, you know." The blonde grinned, kissing the ravenette's cheek.
"Can you? You didn't strike me as someone mathematically smart." She giggled as she saw the hero pout, pinching her side and yelping as the bee did.
"I'll have you know I'm the top of my class!"
"Hehe- Well, if you're so smart, would you so kindly help me? I'll reward you as a thanks." She gave her a quick kiss, earning her another buzz of the bee's wings. She smirked as the hero lifted her up and placed her on her lap, already telling her the solutions and how to get the answer.
That night, Marinette Dupain-Cheng found herself a new math tutor.
"EXPLAIN." She yawned, rubbing the sleepiness in her eyes and squinting as Alya, her best friend, shoved her phone on the sleep-deprived baker's face.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, Queen Bee stayed over till 3 AM to help Marinette catch up with all of her homework, which included Physics, Science, Chemistry -Basically all the subjects Marinette was struggling with, she was okay doing english essays alone.
"What exactly are you showing me..? I can't see it with you pressing your phone against my face so close like this." She grumbled, still half-asleep.
The bespectacled girl rolled her eyes and pulled away enough for Marinette to properly see.
She blinked a couple of times before turning beet red, stuttering and stumbling over her words as she grabbed Alya's phone, staring at the picture of her kissing Queen Bee.
"I- UHM- I- WHA- I- YOU- HOW-" She stammered, looking up at her best friend with a shocked expression.
"I should be the one asking you that!" The girl said before laughing and grabbing her phone back. "Seriously, you're dating QB and you never told me!?"
"I- Well- It kinda just-" She hid behind her hands, peeking through her fingers as she struggled to explain.
"H- How did you even get that picture?!"
"I was calling your phone last night but you didn't pick up so I decided to pay a visit."
"That's because I was doing homework and you know I keep my phone on silent when I am!" The ravenette groaned and sunk to the floor. This whole situation got rid of all the sleepiness in her, instead replaced by utter embarrassment.
Alya was never going to let this die down.
