"WHAT??" Sanemi's voice erupted in disbelief, cutting through the ambient noise of the busy inn like a knife. The sudden outburst made Giyuu flinch slightly, a grimace crossing his face as he adjusted to the unexpected volume. "No need to yell, Shinazugawa. I'm simply sharing what the master told me," Giyuu replied, his tone steady as he set his chopsticks down next to his now-empty bowl. He glanced up, his dark eyes meeting Sanemi's intense gaze from across the table.
"We should set off soon, the village is quite far from here, so you better finish your meal quickly," Giyuu added, shifting his focus to the window beside them. Outside, the sun was dipping below the horizon, casting a brilliant red ombre across the sky, merging with the deep blue above. The stark contrast always captivated Giyuu, drawing his attention. He often found solace in these moments, admiring the way the colours blended as if nature itself were creating a masterpiece just for him; it always comforted him in a way.
"Well, whatever. I’m done. Hurry up and let's go!" Sanemi muttered, his impatience evident as he slammed his hands against the wooden table. He rose abruptly, walking off before Giyuu could rise to follow him. Giyuu, hastily gathering his belongings, rushed to keep pace with Sanemi, purposefully maintaining a slight distance. Despite their shared responsibilities as hashiras, they had never formed a close bond, and missions together were a rarity. Truthfully, they could probably handle this alone, but the Master's insistence on teamwork—citing the need for them to "bond" or "get along"—did nothing to bridge the gap between them. Giyuu longed for a connection, but he sensed Sanemi's reluctance, and he respected that boundary.
After what felt like an eternity of walking, they arrived at their destination well into the night. The streets were alive with nightlife; Groups of people bustled about, laughter mingling with lively conversations filling the air. The sheer brightness of the lanterns and lights around them was overwhelming, almost painful to their eyes, and the teeming crowd added to Giyuu's discomfort. "We should split up, I'll search the north and east parts of the village. You take care of the southern and western areas, alright?" Sanemi proposed, suddenly halting to pivot and face Giyuu. The unexpected movement caught Giyuu off-guard, and he nearly collided with the taller man.
"Oh, um, yeah. Okay. Let's meet back in about twenty minutes?" Giyuu managed to suggest, but before he could finish his sentence, Sanemi had already turned away, tossing back a quick, "Yeah, sure," leaving Giyuu standing alone in the chaotic scene. Sighing, he surveyed the crowded venue. Crowds and noise were never his favourite, but his duty to protect others outweighed his discomfort.
Time seemed to stretch endlessly as Giyuu navigated through all of the people, all of whom seemed preoccupied with their things. The chaos, however, proved less contentious than Sanemi's simmering thoughts. The white-haired man, his jaw clenched in irritation, had been tirelessly questioning locals. Each answer he received reignited his frustration: "Something in the forest outside the village!" or "I always see something creeping in the woods!" While those responses held some use, Sanemi couldn't shake his dissatisfaction.
He decided he would find Giyuu, albeit doubtfully. He had little faith that Giyuu would have found anything different from the same recycled information. In fact, Sanemi had lost track of their designated meeting spot amidst the indistinguishable labyrinth of shops and stands. The blinding lights, all too prevalent, made it nearly impossible to discern his surroundings. Why did places like these need so much lighting? It was disorienting. He grumbled inwardly, acknowledging that Giyuu was likely struggling with this chaotic environment too, but he was far too focused on catching the demon and returning home than to care about what the other thought.
Suddenly, engrossed in his whirlwind of thoughts, Sanemi became unaware of Giyuu approaching him from behind. A gentle tap on his shoulder jolted him back to reality. "Who the fu—oh. It’s you. Where the hell have you been??" Sanemi snapped, his voice barely above a whisper as he struggled to keep his frustration in check to avoid attracting attention.
"I was doing what we agreed on; I went around the village, asking locals about the demon. I was starting to wonder where you disappeared to," Giyuu replied, his expression impassive as always. "Did you uncover anything we should know?" He tilted his head slightly, his curiosity evident.
Sanemi narrowed his eyes, irritation was evident. "Tsk, I was going to ask you the same thing. All I keep getting are the same vague answers about something lurking in the forest," he grumbled, crossing his arms defensively across his chest.
Giyuu merely hummed in response, nodding in agreement. The silence that followed was filled with the ambient sounds of merriment around them—people chatting and laughing echoing around them. It was a pleasant night; the sky remained clear, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, a stark contrast to the chaos on the streets below. It was easy to see why so many were out tonight—families enjoying their time together, couples on dates, and friends simply revelling in life.
Breaking the stillness, Sanemi cleared his throat. "Did anyone tell you something different, or is that all the information we have?"
"The young woman I spoke to said she thinks this demon produces a type of 'pollen.' She's not entirely sure what it does, but she remembers that her significant other was affected by it," the shorter one explained, bringing a hand to his chin as he tried to recollect more details. "I tried to ask her what happened to her significant other, but she seemed too embarrassed to share. So, I decided to leave her alone after that," he finished, similarly crossing his arms to the other.
Sanemi rolled his eyes. "I guess we should head over to the forest...?" he suggested, tilting his head slightly. He was eager to complete this mission; it felt like Giyuu was just slowing him down. Of all the people he could have been paired with, why did it have to be him?
Giyuu nodded in agreement, turning away from the other and glancing back. He then began walking toward the forest. Sanemi stood there for a moment, letting out a long sigh before he decided to catch up to Giyuu, He shook off the heaviness in his mind and moved to follow him.
The two of them had been walking for a while. Sanemi lost track of time some time ago; everywhere he looked was surrounded by tall trees, the atmosphere was unsettlingly quiet, with only the soft crunch of their footsteps on the dew-kissed grass and the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze breaking the stillness. "Hey, do you know where we're going, or are you just walking around aimlessly?" Sanemi was the first one to break the silence, his irritation was becoming more clear in his tone. Giyuu didn't respond; he simply kept walking, almost as if he hadn't heard the other man. This, in turn, only fueled Sanemi's anger. He quickly caught up to Giyuu, grabbing him roughly by the shoulder and turning him to face him. "I know you heard me. Do you think you're better than me? Is that why you won't talk? I'm not going to follow you around if you don’t even know where we're going. If we die, it's all your fault." Sanemi yelled, gripping the shorter man's shoulders tightly. Giyuu, however, remained unfazed by his outburst. He raised a hand between them, causing Sanemi to pause mid-rant. "Be quiet for a moment, will you?" he said.
Sanemi raised an eyebrow, ready to scream at Giyuu once more. But before he could say anything, he noticed Giyuu move at a fast speed. In the blink of an eye, Giyuu was now suddenly a few feet in front of him, his sword drawn from its casing, looking back at what seemed to be a figure standing in between them, sanemi quickly unsheathed his sword, gripping the hilt tightly. The creature that stood before them looked..unnatural. Its skin was a dark grey, with hints of dark red streaks running along it. It had long white hair that reached down to its waist, and short horns on its head that faded from dark grey to red. It cackled as it played with the blood dripping from a cut on its arm, watching it slowly regenerate. "Oh, who knew I could be lucky enough to meet not one Hashira, but two instead! I truly am the luckiest demon here..." the demon exclaimed, its voice echoing around them with a grim yet childlike tone. This couldn't be the same demon everyone had been tormented by, could it? As the demon seemed distracted, Sanemi lunged forward, trying to slice its neck. However, the demon quickly noticed Sanemi's attack, raising its hands in front of its face and blowing a cloud of pink powder towards him, blurring his vision for a moment.
"Ah- fuck!" Sanemi choked out, landing on the grass next to the demon, hearing it laugh loudly next to him, the powder was sickly sweet, enough to make Sanemi feel nauseous. "Shinazugawa! Are you okay?" Giyuu yelled out, gripping his katana tightly as he prepared to attack the demon, "Do I-"cough"fuckin' look alright?? Hurry up and k-kill it already idiot!" Sanemi continued to cough, lighting gripping at his throat as he tried to get more air into his lungs, fuck, this stung like hell. Giyuu quickly turned his attention back onto the demon, who was still laughing at Sanemi, pointing at him as it clutched its stomach. Pushing himself forward, he aimed for its neck; this time he was lucky enough to cut through its neck; however, it managed to blow some of the powder at his face before its head hit the floor. It screamed in agony as it watched its body crumble right in front of it, feeling the sensation of its head slowly crumbling right after. Its voice slowly died out before complete silence filled the air.
Giyuu felt his legs giving out, quickly falling onto the floor, landing on his knees as he tugged at the collar of his shirt. To be honest, he didn't take in much powder, but he knows Sanemi took in a full face of that stuff. He turned to face Sanemi—who's face was oddly, red? Well, that doesn't matter for now; forcing himself to get up, he moved towards Sanemi.
"Shinazugawa?...Sanemi, are you alright?" Giyuu muttered, his voice hoarse as he spoke, setting himself down next to Sanemi as he examined his face. "Is it just me or... has it gotten really warm?" The other muttered; his voice was barely above a whisper as he spoke. Giyuu stayed silent before getting up again. He lifted Sanemi off the floor by his arm, hooking it around his shoulder. Sanemi, who was in a complete daze, was surprised by the sudden reaction, feeling his face grow more warm. Giyuu fixed his posture, moving his hand down to rest on Sanemis's waist and hold him up properly. Sanemi didn't understand why he felt so 'sensitive' to every touch he was feeling, and, if it wasn't obvious, he never felt so... weird around Giyuu; it was definitely because of the powder he took in from that weird demon.
"Are you okay? Do you feel comfortable?" Giyuu's voice snapped him back to reality; he didn't even realise he was staring at him until he saw the other's blue eyes lock with his. Has he always looked this beautiful? Either way, he felt his face heat up as if he'd been caught staring at him.
"Oh-yeah. I'm fine.." He responded, it was a pathetic attempt at trying to cover up his embarrassment. Giyuu gave him a nod, slowly starting to move the two of them somewhere safe. "The village is probably too far from where we are right now, so it's probably best to find somewhere safe to stay at in the forest." Giyuu's voice filled Sanemi's head; he never noticed how calming it was. He could listen to it all day; his voice was soft, which completely contrasted his. It's too bad that he's always so quiet and reserved; he honestly wished Giyuu was more open with him.
After a few more minutes of walking, Sanemi noticed that Giyuu was struggling to support both of them. Giyuu's breathing grew heavier with each step, and the heat was becoming overwhelming. His clothes clung uncomfortably to his body, making him feel as though he might faint at any moment. He was somewhat glad for the slight breeze, as it allowed him to feel the cold air, but it didn’t offer much relief. “Oi, Tomioka, we can take a break near that tree over there if it would help you feel any better.” Sanemi weakly raised his hand, pointing towards a tree near them. Giyuu nodded his head, taking a moment to adjust his hold on Sanemi before slowly making their way to the tree near by them.
The tree allowed the two of them to find some shade from the moonlight, it was their source of light to guide them through the forest, well that and the faint yellow lights coming from the village in the distance. Once the two of them finally made it to the tree, Giyuu slowly placed Sanemi against it, allowing him to lean on it, a soft groan escaping the man as he felt his back softly hit the tree. The dark haired male took a moment to catch his breath, taking a seat next to the other as he brought his arms up to wrap around his legs, his head resting on his knees. A quiet sigh leaving him as he felt his body relax against the tree. The two sat in silence, the sounds of their breath and the leaves swaying filling the air.
The white haired man glanced over at the raven haired one, noticing the flush on his face that peeked out from behind his hair. Giyuu's hair, tied in it's usual low ponytail, looked genuinely soft, and Sanemi often wondered how it would look if it were down. Lost in thought, Sanemi didn't realize that Giyuu had turned to face him, their dark blue and bright violet eyes locking onto each other. Giyuu felt his face grow warm as Sanemi maintained the eye contact. Giyuu glanced away, shifting his arms away from his legs as he straightened his back and finally spoke up, "What are you thinking about?" His voice was barely above a whisper, yet it was loud enough to catch the other off guard.
"Oh, um. Nothing important, just trying to think about what we should do next..." Sanemi lied straight through his teeth, diverting his gaze to his hands and pretending to be more interested in the scars along his skin. Giyuu narrowed his eyes at the taller man and began to unbutton a few buttons of his uniform, allowing the cold air to hit his neck, which prompted a quiet hiss to escape his lips. The sound caught Sanemi's attention, and he quickly turned to look at Giyuu, his gaze slowly moving down to the exposed skin of the other's neck. "Well, do you have anything so far? We've clearly been hit with some blood demon art associated with aphrodisiacs, " the shorter one began, observing how the taller one's gaze focused on his exposed skin. Continuing to unbutton a few more buttons of his uniform, shrugging his haori off his shoulder.
"If you were trying to figure out what we should do, you wouldn't mind sharing your thoughts, would you?" he continued, a smile forming on his face as he noticed Sanemi's eyes glancing up to lock with Giyuu's dark eyes, quickly looking down again "Tch, don't act like a smartass," Sanemi mumbled as he slowly took off his haori, folded it, and set it down next to him. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned against the tree, gradually closing his eyes as he heard the other man let out a sigh.
"Oh come on, we obviously need to do something to 'fix' this, right? Surely you have an idea if you keep looking at me," the raven haired man said, leaning closer to the paler man. "Or maybe you want me to take the lead instead?" Giyuu's voice was laced with a teasing tone, slowly bringing a hand to wrap it around Sanemi's waist, feeling the other slight tense up for the sudden contact. Despite the slightly cold wind in the air, Sanemi's skin was surprisingly warm. The taller one grumbled quietly to himself, feeling himself lean into the others touch as his heart raced, his face growing more warm, he was sure his face was bright red at this point, part of him was too embarrassed to give into the feelings he was experiencing but the other part of him didn't want any of this to end.
Giyuu tilted his head to the side, watching Sanemi's face as he saw him become more flustered with every second that went by. "... If we're going to do this, then hurry up." Sanemi mumbled under his breath, uncrossing his arms and shifting them to his sides, feeling his body finally give into the others touch. A satisfied hum left Giyuu, moving his hand down to the front of Sanemi's trousers, palming him softly through the fabric. The paler man's breath hitched slightly, a quiet groan leaving him, subconsciously moving his hips up into the others hand. "Oh, someone's a bit eager, hm?" The other teased, applying more pressure on the other, earning a hiss from him.
"Shut up..enough with the teasing, just get to the point already..." Sanemi groaned in response, his breath growing more heavy as he felt the others slim hand move back up to Sanemi's belt, undoing it before lightly tugging down to the midway of Sanemi's thigh. Another hiss leaving the white haired man as the cold air hit his exposed skin, feeling Giyuu's hand slowly move to grab the other's erection, gently stroking the other in his hand. Sanemi furrowed his eyebrows, biting down onto his lower lip to suppress any quiet noises, which he obviously failed at as a quiet whimper left him. Giyuu turned his attention away from his hand, looking up at the others face, watching the blush spread more across his face as he attempted to quieten himself.
"You don't need to act quiet, it's only us here you know?" The shorter man began, leaning in closer to the taller one as he increased the pace of his hand, causing the other to let out another whimper. Giyuu placed a small kiss on Sanemi's neck before continuing "And, to be fair, I really do want to hear your voice.." Giyuu lightly bit down on the taller man's neck, leaving a faint red mark on the pale skin, the other's erection twitching slightly in his hand.
"A-ah.. You fucking bastard.. Since when were y-you so bold.." Sanemi breathlessly, his voice almost coming out in a whine as Giyuu bit down again, increasing the pace of his hand again, causing a quiet moan to leave his lips. Giyuu didn't answer him, instead he just kept his attention focused on leaving marks on the white haired man's neck, occasionally stopping to watch his reactions, his breath coming out in quick pants. The dark haired man finally moved his head away from the others neck, looking at the marks he left along the skin, it would be difficult to hide because of his uniform but that was a problem they could deal with later.
"Ngh-... I.. Tomio-"
"Giyuu. You can just call me Giyuu."
Sanemi hesitated for a moment, another moan leaving him before he could answer,
"G..Giyuu.. I, I'm close... Ah-" Sanemi whined, pre-cum forming at the tip of his erection, his hips jerking into Giyuu's hand.
Giyuu quickly took away his hand, watching the other groan in disappointment, leaning his head back against the tree behind him, tears slightly welling up in his eyes from the suddenly denial as his hands gripped the grass underneath him.
"You fucking... Why would you do that..?" Sanemi mumbled under his breath, his chest rising and falling heavily. Narrowing his eyes at Giyuu as he watched him undo his belt, taking it off and placing it next to his haori. "You can't be the only one having fun you know, I also got hit by the powder, remember?" Giyuu raised an eyebrow, pushing his trousers down, exposing his lower half to Sanemi, who's eyes trailed down his body, his eyes stopping between the others legs, feeling himself growing harder than he already was. The raven haired man noticed this, snapping his fingers in front of the others face, grabbing his attention.
"Hey, don't zone out on me just yet, we still have a lot to do" Giyuu let out a soft laugh, watching Sanemi roll his eyes. "Well hurry up then. We don't have all night." Sanemi said with a huff, crossing his arms across his chest in annoyance. The weight of Giyuu's body on top of his made him look up at the other, the smug look on his face making him narrow his eyes.
"Alright, alright. Just be a little patient" The shorter one muttered, his hand reaching to grab the paler man's erection, a quiet whimper leaving him as he felt his tip touch the others entrance.
"Ready?" Giyuu spoke up, his voice laced with a teasing tone.
"Hurry the fuck up already."
Giyuu pouted slightly, pressing himself down onto the other, a soft moan leaving them both as Giyuu took a moment to adjust himself, placing both hands onto Sanemi's shoulders to stabilize himself, Sanemi in return uncrossing his arms and instead moved his hands to rest on Giyuu's hips. The shorter man began to slowly move himself down, a quiet whine leaving him as he watched the length disappear into him, a slight buldge forming in his stomach. "Y.. You okay..?" Sanemi said, his voice breathless, gripping onto Giyuus hips slightly harder.
"Of course I am.. just need to take a moment," Giyuu straightened his posture, lifting himself up before slowly moving back down, his breath growing heavy as he began to find a pace the two of them liked, his nails slightly digging into Sanemi's shoulders-causing the taller one to whimper slightly. The sound of the two of them gasping filled the air around them, the white haired one occasionally letting out quiet whimpers and whines, watching how his length would disappear and reappear, a buldge forming in the raven haired ones stomach ever so often, which honestly shouldn't have turned him on even more.
"Come on.. I-i know you, ngh-, I know you can be more rough than this.." Giyuu whimpered, raising his hips nearly off of the other man's length before slamming himself down, earning a moan from the two of them. "Are you-Ah.. Are you sure..? I-i dont want, fuck-, hurt you by accident or something..." Sanemi mumbled, furrowing his eyebrows as he felt beads of sweat forming on his forehead, biting down on his lower lip.
"I'm not ma-made of glass.. I'll be fine." The shorter one argued, bringing his head closer to the other mans neck, biting down onto the pale skin. Sanemi groaned in response, his grip on the others hips tightening, enough to the point it could leave marks. Lifting the dark haired man by the hips before pushing him down harshly, causing the shorter man to cry out, resting his head on Sanemi's shoulder, tears welling up in his eyes as he gripped onto Sanemi's shoulders, nails digging into the skin. The taller one began to increase the pace of the others hips, increasing the roughness of each thrust. Giyuu continued to cry out in pleasure, filling Sanemi's head with his voice, he couldn't focus on anything that was happening to him, only to the sound of Giyuu moaning in his ear and his heat taking in Sanemi.
"Sa.. Ah-! 'Nemi, im- ngh,I'm close... please-" Giyuu managed to whimper out, his voice barely above a whisper as his voice was breathless, a few tears rolling down his cheeks, burying his face into the crook of Sanemi's neck, muffling his voice. Sanemi hummed in response, his thrusts growing more harsh each second, he opened his mouth to say something but before he could even get a word out, Giyuu already knew what he was going to ask.
"Inside. Just- A.. Ah, just- please, do it inside.."
The moment Sanemi heard that, he lifted Giyuu completely off his length before pushing back into him, Giyuu arching his back, his eyes rolling into the back of his head as he let out a final cry of pleasure. Sanemi letting out choked sobs of whimpers and whines as he bit down onto Giyuus shoulder, leaning back and bringing a hand from his hip to his clit, helping the raven haired one ride out his orgasm. Tears rolling down his face as his breath came out in pants, his thighs twitching as he grabbed Sanemi's wrist with his hand, getting overwhelmed with the extra pleasure.
"Nono- stop, ngh- I can't.. No more-" Giyuu whined, a sigh of relief when he felt Sanemi remove his hand. The taller man lifted the shorter one off him, watching cum drip down the raven haired mans thigh. Gently placing Giyuu on his lap, he grabbed for his haori, shoving his hand into a pocket on the inside of his haori before pulling out a napkin to clean the other man.
"you just carry napkins with you..?" Giyuu questioned, his voice weary as he spoke allowing Sanemi to clean him carefully, slightly hissing at the contact since he still felt sensitive. "Yeah I usually just carry it for emergencies... I guess it came in handy right?" The white haired man laughed to himself slightly, reaching for Giyuu's belt and trousers, handing them to him. Giyuu gave him a dead panned look, raising an eyebrow as Sanemi stared at him for a moment, finally realizing what he was implying.
"Oh- You can't stand can you?" Sanemi mumbled, his face growing slightly red with embarrassment as Giyuu shook his head. "It's fine, I'll help you, just give me a second" Sanemi placed a quick kiss onto Giyuu's cheek, before standing up, lifting Giyuu up in his arms, using the tree to help stabilize himself .
After a while, the two of them managed to get dressed, Giyuu managed to hold himself up but his legs still wobbled, holding onto Sanemi's arm so he wouldn't fall over. "I think it's best if we go to the village, you need to rest up... Obviously.." Sanemi stated, glancing over to where the light of the village was coming from, turning the face Giyuu, who in all honestly, looked like he was about to pass out. Sanemi sighed, turned his back to Giyuu, crouching down, allowing the shorter one to get onto his back. "C'mon, I don't want you to take ages, so get on." The white haired one muttered, feeling the weight of Giyuu on his back, wrapping his arms around his thighs, Giyuu's arms wrapped around his neck.
"I have no idea how I'm going to explain all these bite marks you left on me idiot." Sanemi groaned, starting to make their way to the village. Giyuu laughed quietly to himself, kissing the back on Sanemi's neck in response.
"That was not an invitation to do that bastard?!"

"Shinazugawa." Obanais voice broke the silence between the two, They both had just finished up training.
"What is it, Obanai."
"You know, after your mission with Giyuu, do you want to explain why you have bite marks on your neck.. ??"
. . . .
"Promise you wont kill me for this.."
"WHO THE FUCK DID YOU DO??"
