A Fresh Start

Summary:

Dr. Tara Teller is having to start over. Again. With two young boys. And a nanny with some mental health issues. And a dead husband. And no support system.

Spencer Reid is tired of watching his team, his family have lives outside their work, have families aside from the team.

OR

After her mother-in-law almost kills her, Tara moves from Charming California to Virginia. She got a job at Stafford Hospital, and is busy working, raising her sons, and trying to move on. She meets Dr. Spencer Reid at a rare book store. He's FBI, she should run in the opposite direction after everything that has happened to her at the hands of various federal agencies. But she can't help but feel drawn to him.

Dr. Spencer Reid had long learned how to handle his cravings. it is incredibly rare that he even thinks about Dilaudid. But sometimes. In the middle of the night, when he is alone, and he is always alone... He thinks about it. So he distracts himself with rare books, and visits to his favourite store. There he meets Dr. Tara Teller, who seemed to stumble on her own name. He can't help but wonder if maybe she, and her adorable sons are what he needs to finally put those stupid cravings to bed, for good.

Hi Y'all. It's me! With another strange Sons of Anarchy cross over. And yes I know I owe chapters on pretty much everything and I will give them. I swear. But this wouldn't leave me alone. So here we are. E

Obviously I own nothing you recognize and even some things you don't recognize. This first chapter is just giving a little bit of context though, no real story yet. SORRY! Or not, depending on how you feel about the idea.

Chapter 1: Just a Little Context

Hi Everyone,

 

I normally don't do this but I think that I am messing with and changing far too many things not to give a little pre-explanation of where everything falls in terms of what follows canon, what doesn't, and all that jazz.

 

So... Starting with Sons of Anarchy:

 

Most of seasons 1-6 happen basically exactly like canon had them happen. There will be explanations and stuff in later chapters of exactly what happened but basically... When Gemma attacked Tara she didn't kill her, almost did but not quite. Tara is alive, unconscious but alive. When she wakes up in the hospital a few days later she remembers everything and is able to name Gemma as her attacker. Jax kills Gemma, and then himself just like on the show, but all the hell and chaos of season 7 doesn't happen the same way. Also Tara's charges are still dropped and everything so she is able to leave the state with no issues.

 

Ages of the kids. The show really makes this complicated so I am making some executive decisions on this. I am putting Abel at 6 (just starting grade 1) and I am putting Thomas at 4 (in daycare).

 

I'm bringing Brooke along as their nanny, Cause I think that could be fun.

 

Also for Tara, her hand has already healed and she is back working as a surgeon. She still does Physical Therapy and stuff but it is more about maintaining than getting back. Also age wise I am putting her at about 35ish? She left at 19 for 10 years so she came back at about 29, add the 6 or so years of the show and you are at 35. Or at least I am.

 

Criminal Minds:

 

So I am putting this in season 10ish of criminal minds. Spencer is 34ish based on the fact he was 24 in season 1. I am also using the season 10 BAU team, because I think that could be fun. I am not necessarily following all of the plotlines, unsubs stuff like that but that is the basic team, and most of the big things that happened in CM would have also happened in my fic.
