When December started, Seungmin had talked with Felix about baking cookies for one of their kitchen lives. However, his boyfriend liked the idea of doing it more as a date just for the two of them so he could teach him how to do them. Seungmin obviously accepted, he would never waste time alone with his favorite person.
And then the last week of the month came in, Christmas lights and decorations all over the city. Their own apartment wasn’t less enchanting, a beautiful christmas tree and lots of different ornaments filling the house. Seungmin wakes up one day but Felix is not beside him in bed, a note is keeping him company instead.

He smiles at the note and leaves it on the night table before getting up to wash himself and have a quick breakfast. Seungmin is surprised Felix still wants to cook with him, having in mind how it usually goes. But he is sure they both enjoy the quality time more than the result.
Seungmin had just finished doing some chores in their apartment when Felix arrived. Hands full with a pair of bags and the brightest smile he’s probably ever seen. Seungmin just grins back at how cute his boyfriend is.
“I got the ingredients!”
“Yeah I can see, let me help you with that.”
He says before approaching the boy and grabbing one of the bags and carrying it to the kitchen. Seungmin hums a song while he leaves everything over the counter. Felix saves certain things in the fridge and goes back to him, preparing a few bowls and other utensils. Seungmin realizes he hasn't changed yet so he takes Felix’s place in preparing everything, a hand on his waist as he does it.
“Put on something comfier, i’ll finish with this okay?” He smiles, and Felix can only nod and give him a quick kiss before running to the room.
Seungmin chuckles, his boy is so perfect. He notices how it takes longer than expected for Felix to return, but he is too focused on searching for the recipe that he sent him some days ago. Until the blonde appears in front of him with christmas accessories. Classic Santa Claus hat and reindeer antlers. Felix wears the reindeer ones and puts on him the hat. Seungmin smiles, taking advantage of the moment to place his hands on his cheeks.
Felix’s cheeks turn a soft pink, not expecting the sudden touch but letting himself melt in it. Seungmin always finds it cute, which has made him a lot more affectionate than he used to be. He moves away and Felix whines.
“You’re not going to give me a kiss?” He pouts, grabbing Seungmin by the hoodie.
“We have cookies to make, Lix.” He ruffles his hair, Felix still stuck to him looking for his kiss.
Seungmin is not strong when it comes to this boy, he sighs before leaning in to press his lips against his. It’s a slow kiss, one full of love and care. They both appreciate these kisses, as if it was a secret language of theirs where they tell how much they adore each other.
When they separate, both of them are smiling and instantly go back to the recipe. Felix starts reading it to Seungmin so he can measure everything. They do just fine, the ingredients are prepared easily and perfectly fine. The counter gets some stains of different contents, but they are doing good besides that.
Then the serious process starts, Felix leaves his phone aside to help with the important part now. They leave the oven preheating while they start adding to the bowl and mixing step by step. Seungmin is making a bit of a mess with the whole thing and Felix just laughs at him.
“Stop laughing, you’re supposed to show me how to do this!”
“Sorry but it’s so funny,” Felix chuckles, grabbing a cloth to clean the counter a little. “Okay keep going but don’t pour everything out of the bowl.”
“Saying it is easier.” Seungmin sighs and goes back to it.
Some minutes later, they have the final mix. Seungmin smiles, proud that at least he got to finish it without any big trouble. Once the dough is finished and ready for the next step, Felix grabs the rolling pin and extends the mass, preparing it to make the cookies.
“Pick a cookie cutter to start doing the form, I'll do the others.”
And so they start, it’s easy until Seungmin experiences how it often gets hard for the shapes to not get messed up when removing the cutters. Felix gives him some advice, but even his get damaged sometimes as well. Seungmin has to redo some but they don’t go bad, not too much, at least.
“You call that a christmas tree?…”
“Do you have any problems with my cookie? It looks just fine.” Seungmin snorts and Felix contains his laugh.
They continue with the last part of the mass. Seungmin fails on purpose sometimes just to get his boyfriend’s attention and be praised once the forms actually come out well. Felix is more than happy to help and give him random hugs and kisses, being next to him as if they were stuck together by glue all the time.
Seungmin places the last cookie on the tray. No need to say at least half of the cookies ended up having abstract shapes, but it’s not like they are professionals, so it should be okay. Felix grabs it, opening the oven and putting the tray to bake them.
Once he closes the oven and turns around, Seungmin’s hands are on his waist. Felix smiles at him before placing his own arms around his neck.
“You’re so cute sometimes.”
“Sometimes? I thought I was always cute” Seungmin gives him a pout, his forehead against his.
“You’re not so cute when you're cursing at me in games.”
Felix chuckles and doesn't ignore the way Seungmin’s lips curl into a smile.
“Well you’re an idiot sometimes.”
“I guess I am, but at least you know I'm your idiot.”
“That was so cheesy.”
It’s the last thing Seungmin says before placing his lips against the skin of Felix’s neck. He just hears a gasp from him and his hands gripping on the hoodie he is wearing.
Felix knows more than well that getting distracted by his boyfriend while being in the kitchen isn’t a good idea. It's not like he wants the cookies to turn terrible. But he could never say no to Seungmin.
Hands roam his body without a pause, Seungmin kissing each part of his face, jaw and neck possible. Felix also starts moving, touching softly the skin under Seungmin’s hoodie.
They only share a glance before putting their lips together. Even when the kiss gets heated, they both know that they’re silently screaming how much they love each other. Felix is the first to pull away.
“You know, the cookies still need a while to finish cooking…”
“Stop talking and let’s go to bed.”
It could seem rude, but not when Seungmin’s hand stops to stroke his hair before walking to the room. Felix can only smile and follow him, excited by the unexpected event.

Felix should’ve known how to say no. He regrets it the moment he notices that the smell coming from the kitchen isn’t appetizing. Seungmin wrinkles his nose slightly and moves his head away from his boyfriend’s chest.
“Don't tell me…”
Felix sighs, giving him a pout before getting up. They go to the kitchen, grabbing the tray of cookies carefully.
“I swear it’s impossible to do a proper recipe with you, we always end up burning the food.”
Darker colors are all over the cookies, some even getting black from the burnts.
“Not like it’s only my fault angel.”
“I didn't say that! Just that we somehow can't cook together” he looks at Seungmin, “but you do have a part of the blame for distracting me.”
“You have the other part by letting me do so, you know more about baking than I do, don't you?”
Felix just nods and hugs him.
“Why don't we just order something quick tonight and try again next weekend?”
“Sounds perfect for me.”
“Go shower, I remind you you’re sweaty still.”
“We can have a bath together, you haven't showered yet either.”
He stops to think of it for a moment, even though he doesn't need it. He looks at Seungmin.
“No more distractions this time, understood?”
“Alright, no need to get so serious.”
Seungmin chuckles as he leaves to the bathroom. While he prepares the bath, Felix picks up warmer clothes and towels. Once he joins him in the bathroom, he is welcomed with the scent of the bad products.
“Is it the lavender one? How cute of you.”
“I know you like it, it's not like I don't pay attention to you,” he smiles, leaving his clothes aside, “quite the opposite.”
Felix smiles at him, leaving his clothes as well. He lets Seungmin enter first and joins him, laying against his chest. They don't usually have time for this sort of things, so they make sure to enjoy it. First there’s some minutes of just calm. Then, they help each other clean, washing their hair between soft kisses and stares full of love.
“You know, the cookies might be terrible but we still got to pass time together, that’s the whole point, right?”
He receives a nod from Seungmin, who is busy not trying to fall asleep, the environment is just too relaxing. Not to mention his boyfriend's presence so close after busy days.
“We’ll try until we’re able to make perfect cookies.”
“That's the spirit! We have a lot of Christmas yet to make themed ones.”
Seungmin nods, and when the silence fills the air again, he starts humming a song. That's what Felix loves about their holidays together. Their time alone, it doesn't matter if they’re bickering about their games or just cuddling and letting the minutes pass like now.
Felix lets his eyes close as he listens to Seungmin's voice, not caring of falling asleep anymore. Until his so loved boyfriend stops and starts moving instead.
“Let me move, I'll go order the food.”
After a sigh and some childish behavior, Felix moves and lets him walk out the bathtub. He watches Seungmin dry himself and put on his clothes before looking back at him.
“You can stay there a bit more, I'll take the time to clean the kitchen.”
And again, Felix is thinking of how loving him and his acts full of hidden love are.
He isn’t the only one, Seungmin smiles to the air, some love songs playing on his speaker, but his mind is only on his boyfriend.
What if the cookies were always burnt? He couldn't care less, only by trying to make them, Seungmin feels happy.
It doesn't take long for the food to arrive, but it gives him enough time to clean. He sets the food in the living room, deciding it’d be a movie night to end the day.
Felix walks out the bathroom and quickly joins him on the couch. He gives Seungmin some more kisses before sitting properly to finally eat.
“The bath really made me hungry.”
“Well then, enjoy,” Seungmin chuckles and grabs the control, putting a random movie from the home page.
They eat happily, a christmas romance movie playing on the tv. When the food is finished, they lean against each other, Seungmin placing his head over Felix’s shoulder.
“Today was amazing, I don't care about the cookies.”
“I loved it too, but we have to make the best cookies next time.”
“Aren't you aiming too far away? Not burning them will be enough for now.”
They chuckle, Felix pinches his thigh.
“Be positive! I’m a professional chef okay?”
“Not a professional gamer though, we should play some games tomorrow.”
“Oh you love seeing me angry so much.”
“I find it cute.”
Felix sighs but quickly smiles again after a kiss is pressed on his cheek. He is so spoiled.
