Chapter Text
A sharp blade. A sharp blade was going through his abdomen. This pain oddly felt the worst of all. He's been shot, stabbed, and beaten, but for some reason this was the most pain he's ever felt. Ah. It was the disappointment and betrayal he was feeling. He knew Mikey was not fully aware of what he was doing but he still felt pain in his heart. Everyone's encouraging words made him get ahead of himself. He never changed. The man he saw in his apartment bathroom; spineless, stupid, and useless, was still there. He laughed as blood spilled out.
"I'll take your dark impulses with me...and if you do anything stupid, I'll kick your ass. You are my friend in life and now to my death," Takemichi said sadly.
Takemichi looked down at the sound of his dripping blood.
"Friend?", Mikey said, eyes widening. Mikeys sense started to come back and realized what has just occurred. "Takemitchy?", Mikey questioned.
"Give me your hand. You're the trigger. Thats why...I can do it all over again...over and over...I'll...I'll save you Mikey-Kun," Takemichi weakly begged. Takemichi raised his hand to rest it onto Mikey's shoulder. Mikey was warm. He doesn't want to let go.
"Over again? What...what are you talking about?" Mikey asked in a befuddled manner looking at Takemichi's pale face. "Over and over again...", Takemichi spoke as he was losing focus, as if speaking those words as a mantra will change everything that has taken place. Takemichi loses the strength in his body and falls to the ground. " Enough Takemichi", Mikey exclaimed. Tears drop to the ground, "Everyone...I needed to make everyone happy," Takemichi said with his last breath. Mikey called out to him, trying to get a response back but was only met with silence. No one could put what they were feeling into words. Shouts of denial were then heard from Toman. The one who stood out from the group was Chifuyu. He had no expression on his face but tears falling down his cheeks. His knees gave out and his mind numb. 'I should've known he'd sacrifice himself. I should have stopped him. He's...", Chifuyu thought, 'He's done enough. Why did it have to come down to this?' He weakly punched the ground, any will he had left now gone. "God-damnit partner", Chifuyu said.
My body hurts.
I feel so cold.
It's quiet.
Finally, the stress was nowhere in his body. He felt light like a feather running in a stream of calm water. He attempted to open his eyes, but his eyelids felt heavy. Panic started to bubble in his body, but it quickly died down once some light starts to shine through the darkness. The clothes on his body felt damp and sticky. Takemichi tried to open his eyes again, this time successful. He was beneath a clear night sky with stars shining brightly. Sitting up, he looked at his surrounding and saw nothing but the reflection of the sky on the seemingly endless body of water. He stood up slowly as his body was still feeling the effects from what had happened. When he took his first step forward, blue irises began to flourish throughout the body of water and a path was made in front of him. The subtle earthy scent of the flowers flooded his nostrils. Takemichi took his first step and kept walking. And walking. And walking. Sighing loudly, he was about to stop walking when he felt someone push him into the bright glowing water that appeared in front of him.
Fuck, not again.
