Summary:

It was all very traumatic at the time, but Jin Ling privately thinks that his favorite thing about his uncle the Yiling Laozu coming back is how many more stories of his mom he gets to hear now.

Notes:

Created for the CRISS CROSS challenge for Mystery Box 2024.

So. The challenge is to take a fic and put just absolutely the wrong music and/or sounds with it. Sisi recorded this really sweet and charming fic and I (jennisaisquoi) took it and turned it on its head. There are three versions here:

  • With sweet and gentle music and sounds
  • With, um, not that. Please be warned, the criss-cross version has some sudden loud noises (screams, bangs)
  • Just the story, read beautifully by sisi and untouched by my sticky paws.

Thank you, westiec for being the kind of writer who is absolutely down to clown/a good sport about this kind of thing, and moreover just a joy to podfic.
