Chapter Text
"I can not believe this!" Misty shouted out to the heavens.
"What is it?" A trainer asked, looking confused.
The one trainer was Misty Waterflower. She was about fifteen years old. She had medium length red hair, cerulean eyes, wearing a Mystic Water pedant around her neck, a yellow t-shirt with a hood, blue shorts with a white belt across them that had a pink buckle, tall white socks, and red sneakers. The other trainer was Ranee Katina. She was also fifteen years old. She had shoulder length brown hair, green eyes, wearing a dark purple short sleeved blouse, a purple gem necklace with matching purple gem earrings that dangle, with black jeans, white socks, and black sneakers.
Misty was furious as she spat, "Those stupid sisters of mine have completely lost it!"
Ranee blinked and asked, "Have they not restocked the Gym Badges again?"
Misty answered, "Worse than that! They left the entire pool complete mess from their show and I have a gym battle later today at 3:30 pm! I have got to get ready!"
Ranee looked at her Poketch that was a purple color on her right wrist. She stated, "Well, it is 1:30 pm now. If we hoof it, have our Pokemon help, we can get it extra sparkly. What do you think?"
Misty was starting to calm down a bit, "Man, I'm glad that you are here to help! You know I would've totally killed them."
Ranee pointed out, "And they would've deserved it too after the way they've been treating you lately." To that, Misty sadly nodded. Ranee placed her hand on Misty's shoulder, giving her a reassuring smile. Misty smiled a bit back at her. Ranee threw out her pokeballs, letting her team appear. There was Infernape, Luxray, Alakazam, Floatzel, Roserade, and Clefable. She asked, "Think you guys help us out with cleaning the pool?"
They all said their names, agreeing.
Misty reminded, "Oh and please make sure that Psyduck doesn't go anywhere near the pool until we are done."
They all said their names again, agreeing with Misty's plead. It took them until almost 2:30 pm for the pool to be completely cleaned. Misty breathed a sigh of relief as Lily came in with Violet right behind her. The two were chit chatting as they were headed to their kitchen to make some tea.
Lily saw the pool was sparkling clean and said, "Oh, like, wow. You two had did a great job, like, cleaning! But why did you, like, wait until later to clean the pool? So, like, you can come get a manicure with us!"
Misty turned to her and snapped, "Cause unlike you, I don't care about getting manicures on a daily basis!"
Lily snarked, "Yeah but like, you have to grow up and get a life! Like we do! Go, like, see the world. Or go get that, like, your boyfriend of yours?"
Violet and Ranee were about to say something to Lily to get her to stop but it was too late. Misty was now furious and she had every right to be.
Misty made a fist, "Listen here, you! For one thing, Ash isn't my boyfriend! And for a second thing, I can't grow up and get a life because every time I turn around, you are making my life here unbearable! I want to go back and travel! Not be here forever like a common prisoner! I don't want to be the gym leader anymore!"
Misty stormed out of the room and went to her room. Daisy came in on the tail end of that and frowned.
She asked, "What, like, happened?"
...
Misty was in her room, hugging her Azurill close. She couldn't believe that Lily could be so cruel.
"Azu?" Azurill asked, seeing its trainer's downcast.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Misty?" Daisy asked. "Can we, like, talk?"
Misty sniffled, "I - I don't want to talk to you right now."
Daisy stated, "I know, like, Ranee told me what happened."
Misty told her sister, "I can't believe Violet was so cruel..."
Daisy replied, "It was, like, very unkind of her."
Misty started to sob, sulking to the floor. Azurill rolled out Misty's grip. "I - I don't feel like apologizing to her."
Daisy pointed out, "I never said that, like, you know? But...maybe you should stop being, like, a prisoner?"
Misty perked up a bit, slightly opening the door, "What do you mean by that?"
Daisy told her, "I, like, mean maybe you should go back on the road again?" Misty shot her a look and she added, "We won't, like, hand out badges if that's what you are thinking. And you can go to Sinnoh with Ranee. She did say that she wanted to go back home to continue her Sinnoh journey? Why don't you go with her?"
Misty wiped her eyes a bit, "Y - you mean that?"
Daisy reassured, "Of course I do. But is it okay if, like, I use Gyarados?"
Misty slightly teased, "No way, he comes with me."
Daisy asked, "Does that mean, like, Caserin can stay here?"
Misty approved, "Yes but I want Azurill, Corsola, and Psyduck to come with me. That way you don't have to worry about Psyduck always falling into the pool."
At that moment, Psyduck popped out of its pokeball, holding its head.
"Psy? Duck?" It asked.
Misty hissed, "Hey, if I wanted you I would've asked!"
She recalled her Pokemon as Daisy and Azurill both sweatdropped.
...
After a bit, Ranee had arranged tickets for her and Misty to get boat tickets. Ranee had grabbed her white backpack while Misty had grabbed her Spheal backpack. She had her pokeballs in there and Azurill was asleep in her backpack.
Ranee told her, "That backpack looks super cute on you!"
Misty turned to her and replied, "Thanks! I love it too!"
The brown hair trainer as she asked, "Are you going to call Ash and let him know we're on the way?"
The red hair trainer thought for a moment, "Honestly, I would much rather surprise him!"
Ranee pointed out, "Is that such a good idea? You have no idea where he is right now, do you?"
Misty stated, "Yes, he called me the other day, saying that he was going to be at Lake Valor."
Ranee said, "I know where that is, it is right near Pastoria City."
Daisy came up to them in that moment, going over to her sister.
She told her, "Now, like, call me the minute you get there. Okay?"
Misty reassured, "Don't worry, I will."
The sisters had an embrace as passengers started to get aboard. Misty went with Ranee towards the boat before giving her sister another quick embrace. Daisy smiled.
Daisy teased, "You better tell him how you feel."
Misty was about to rebuke but the whistle went off before she could. She grumbled as she went towards the boat again. Misty thought, 'Here we go, finally. On a new journey. I can't wait to surprise Ash when we get there!'
...
Meanwhile; in the Sinnoh Region, after hanging out with Wallace the whole day, Nurse Joy had approached Ash's group.
She stated, "Excuse me, Ash? There's a message asking for you to call the Pokemon Center in Snowpoint City has just come in."
Ash looked at her, "Where's Snowpoint City?"
Nurse Joy turned to a map as she pointed, "Right here! It is the farthest city north in the Sinnoh Region."
...
At the Pokemon Center in Snowpoint City, Nurse Joy approached a trainer from behind.
She said, "It's a phone call! From Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town."
The girl giggled as she turned to Nurse Joy. It was May herself.
She told the Pokemon Nurse, "Great! Thanks! I'll take it right now!"

Wishmaker1028: I'm blaming TimPrime1 for this idea. He was working on a fanfiction idea when he gave me this one. So, in this story, Ranee is a friends with the Waterflower sisters. She never really bonded with Paul enough to start a small romance (as of yet) so that's why she doesn't have a locket here. Also, Ranee isn't a coordinator like in other stories. She's just a trainer. I thought I switch things up. I am hoping to make this a bit of a short story but knowing my luck, that isn't going to happen haha! Please read and review! And always think outside of the box! Happy birthday Tim! This series will update on the weekends only!
