Chapter Text
Tick, tick. The number goes down. Hands trembled. An exhale, a beat. The world swirls, waving and swaying in time with a music only the world seemed to hear. His knees ached. Too late, like a lagging video, he hears a thump and crackle crunch. He looks down. Ruby red swells, leaking onto the floor, shards of glass like crystals winking at him. A muted spark, a burn lights in his knees as salted water drips from above.
Tick.
And he is gone.
