Madam Hao came back from her trip to the Helios Empiree since she's a happily retired old lady.
Though Nuan would say otherwise since during the family reunion, right when he was drinking tea. Their mother decided to make the most blunt favor to the family-
"I want one of you to give me grandkids."
It seemed like a request, but Madam Hao demanded it. And before any of the other family members could say anything, all they heard was a cup falling into the ground with a crash. The noise that came after it was startling, Nuan had a coughing fit, his scarred face etched with shock from the sudden demand that he accidentally choked on his tea. And one of the servants quickly gave the poor man some water while Yue Li and one of the elders watched with worry.
"Mother, you dragged us into such a reunion to ask for children? That seems rather silly, isn't it?" Han Yi, the second-eldest daughter spoke up, clearly confused while her husband seemed to have a similar reaction to Nuan, just not that drastic or sudden.
"Ah right, I'll wait until Nuan recovers before continuing." Madam Hao sighs, folding her arms.
After Nuan recovered from the sudden shock (along with his father as well)...
Madam Hao cleared her throat before continuing, making sure nobody was going to choke on anything again.
"I would like to clarify my previous statement, after my trip out of the Eastern continent, I've found two lovely young ladies during my time there that I would consider as one of my grandchildren. But they'll most likely protest if I try to adopt them..." Madam Hao mumbled in her last sentence but went back to being serious.
"It does not matter if they're related to our blood or not, I expect a child from one of you," She continues.
The room fell silent for a while until Yue Li started laughing.
"Pfft- Mother, I just happened to have a child of my own," She revealed the fact that she's pregnant and Nuan almost choked on his tea again.
The clan leader can't catch a break.
