More then a Dalliance

Summary:

Sex was sex. A mere joining of bodies for mutual pleasure. A two to tango. One dancer might be lackluster in how they carry themselves and their partner. But sex it still was. It was a natural human process. Sex was used for procreation. Now it was just a hobby.

Work Text:

Sex was sex. A mere joining of bodies for mutual pleasure. A two to tango. One dancer might be lackluster in how they carry themselves and their partner. But sex it still was. It was a natural human process. Sex was used for procreation. Now it was just a hobby. Fuck the closest bitch willing to jump on his dick. Make her scream and be over with it. That’s what he deserved after all. Champion of the Bear Pit. The goddamn Lash.

Sure, raw was better but couldn’t just knock up any random. Lash was stupid but not a moron. With famous blood and money to line his pockets, he was a gold digger’s dream. Get drunk, forget the condom and nine months later you get a letter in the mail requesting child support. That’s how the streets worked.

Lash always kept himself sober enough. Sober enough to know when not to chase a cat. Even at swinger parties when the coke was pulsing and the ecstasy intoxicating. Keep himself rational. Hard drugs weren’t his thing. Tried them once and never tried them again. Back when he was on the sea with gunpowder and blood.

The whores teased them about it. How he wouldn’t even do just a little bit off their midriff. How he wouldn’t just give into pleasure. Why would he care? The Lash he was. A name who demanded respect and praise. But those stupid whores didn’t give a shit if he got annoyed or bit back at them. To them, it was a sign he’d screw them till they couldn’t walk straight. And yeah. That was true on occasion. Nothing like putting a bitch like in their place. Underneath and singing the song of pleasure.

The sheriff. God the sheriff was probably going to shoot him someday. Women denied him before. Didn’t take to the sweet talking or the way his hand rested on their hips. He knew when to stop pushing before the cat bit. But her? She could bite him and he didn’t think he’d care. A pig. A dog. She called him a lot of things. Never Lash. Never Champion. Disgusted by his lack of restraint on his basic human instincts.

That’s why Lash had to burn himself on the coffee kettle when morning came. He woke up next to her. Not just next to her. She was wrapped up in his arms. Breathing against his chest. Fingers twitching slightly as she slept. The sheriff who called him a vile animal slept with him. The Lash was sure she did.

But even with his dick still nestled inside of her, it didn’t feel like sex. The bedsheets weren’t drench like normal. A little wetness but nothing. No flood or disturbed bedsheets. Neither of their skins were sticky with sweat. Wrapped up in the blanket and there. She was there. In his bed. If they had sex, then why was she still there?

His neck felt weird. He felt like his body had been violated in a way. A way he didn’t like to think on. The hard and egotistical exterior cracked. Nothing massive. But a crack big enough for him to have doubts. Lash was drunk. He had a hangover. He got drunk with a woman. She was hungover too once she woke up. Her eyes were red like she was crying. Yet they seemed gleamed with a slight happiness when she locked eyes with him. It was fleeting but it was there.

There was no condom in the trash. Used or unused. Well, the mere fact he woke up inside her raw confirmed the thought of protection went out the window the night prior. But he didn’t seem to care. Lash probably should have cared but it was the sheriff after all. She was good. A good lady who cared alot. Maybe too much it made her drown at times. More often then not.

She walked fine. No limp or complaints about pain. She never was one to complain about pain but she also wasn’t the best at hiding it. Her hips didn’t have his fingers imprinted or did his back have nail marks. Surely they had sex. Likely. Maybe they did. Maybe it was just softer.

They didn’t kiss as they left Lash’s apartment. It wasn’t meant to be more then a fuck. An occasional fuck they had. No strings attached. Satisfaction then clocking out. The sheriff was by his side till they reached the point where they had to split. When did his hand start to feel so cold? Before they followed their own paths for the day, an overly complex goodbye was shared.

Good bye Jacob.

See ya Elena.
