Chapter Text

MEANWHILE AT HPSC HQ, UNDERGROUND, EARLIER…

“…In recent news, the unrevealed truth about the Public Safety Commission, from molding young, aspiring heroes into child soldiers to brutal punishment on their own heroes to keeping the general public blissfully ignorant.” A dark-haired male news reporter depicted.

“Two of them being our own No. 2 Pro Hero Hawks, and former Pro Hero Lady Nagant.”  Exclaimed a ginger haired female news reporter.

“Now we know who to be wary of.” The auburn joked.

Madam President clicked the TV off.

“Everyone, as I’m sure you all are aware, the public knows about our top secrets as well as All for One’s death.” She began.

“Yes, Lady Nagant and that hedgehog.” A suited higher up commented.

“We should reinstate Nagant and hire him.” She decided.

Everyone, excluding Yokumiru Mera, were stunned.

“No way! He’s a vigilante. And what about Hawks? He’s deprogrammed! And he and a white furred bat girl got all of our top secrets!” Another higher up argued.

“That may be true, Lady Nagant managed to kill him after, however, all she did was shoot him point-blank in his face; All for One could’ve survived that.”

She turns it back on, fast-forwards the news segment and then pauses on All for One, amputated.

“Her companion must have completely neutralized his Healing and Regenerating Quirk.”

“As for Hawks…He must have helped lead the bat girl to the secret files here, she managed to get past security, with the help of a robot disabled all of our surveillance cameras.”

“As well as two League of Villains members on his side.”

“All of them could help keep peace to the public, in addition take care of heroes who step out of line.”

“And as for the robot, we could use it as a new blueprint for the new Symbol of Peace, in case Endeavor ever retires.” She finished.

“What about the robot?” A Detnerat Corporate tech supervisor, a blond with glasses in a blue suit, asked.

“If we’re planning to market it mainstream, we need to know its manufacturer.” She suggested.

“Consider it done.” The blond nodded.

“Madam, the seven of them are at UA right now.”

The surveillance cameras of UA captured Team Dark using their “Ultimate Move.”

“Interesting. Set up a meeting with them." She demanded.

“How, Madam?” “Through the principal.” She answered, turning on her tablet, connecting to the TV.

DIAL TONE!

“Hello, Nezu.” She greeted the white stout.

“Madam President! To what do I owe you the pleasure?” He smiled.

“I’m hoping to meet the Gunsmokers as well as their teammates. Sometime later during the day.” She ordered.

“Well of course, when are you coming by?” He asked.

“Actually, I would like for them to come to headquarters. Alone.”

“I will send my associates as an escort.”

“I understand, I will let them know.”  He acknowlegded.

“Thank you, Prinicipal Nezu, goodbye.” She ended the call.

“What if they refused?”

“Then it’s a lifetime in Tartarus.”

“Yes, Madam President.” The higher ups agreed.

All of them head out of her office.

‘I’ve got a bad feeling about this.’ Mera was worried.

ELSEWHERE AT THE HOSU POLICE STATION, AT THE SAME TIME…

“Chief! C’mere, you need to see this!” A dark-haired police officer in a dark suit screamed.

“Woof, what happened?” Chief Tsuragamae asked.

“It’s from the security footage in the Nomu-creating Doctor’s cell.” They explained.

“Don’t tell me that he escaped?”

“No, it’s not that…” They played the footage.

“Hello Kyudai.” A deep voice greeted him.

“All for One...?” The short doctor couldn’t believe his eyes.

Everyone held their breaths by the Symbol of Evil’s presence.

“But I thought that hedgehog and sniper killed you!” He gasped.

“I escaped.” The Demon Lord answered, undoing his restraints.

The police were on high alert.

“Listen, I want you to turn the Ultimate Lifeform and the Lovely Lady Nagan into Nomus.” He began.

“The Ultimate Lifeform?” The chief questioned.

“If I can’t have the Ultimate Lifeform for myself, then you can have it as one of your children.” He offered it to the diminutive doctor.

“Yes, master.” The doctor walked past him.

“And one more thing…” He faced him.

“GAK!”

He grabbed Garaki by the throat.

Suddenly, a blue violet colored slime-like liquid appears.

“Himiko Toga?!”  Shocked another employee.

“What is she doing?”

Instead of Himiko herself, she changes into a short black hedgehog with upturned red stripes quilled in a black jacket.

“His” razor sharp, red eyes stared at the frightened doctor.

“This is for turning innocent people into those damned Nomus.” The Ultimate Lifeform finished before…

CRACK! SNAP!

Once again everyone held their breaths, this time by the former League of Villains member and the mysterious hedgehog that she transformed into.

And with that, “Shadow” dropped the dead doctor.

“Hmph, too easy.” “He” grinned.

The station employee paused on “Shadow”.

“Going by the “Ultimate Lifeform”, huh?” “This guy is serious.”

“He must be the hedgehog that helped Lady Nagant in killing All for One and now Dr. Ujiko. The public is calling them the Gunsmokers.”

“He seems a little young, but given his actions, he must be older.” The Chief points out.

LATER, AT THE METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT…

A tall and massive white building with a couple of trimmed bushes outside.

While the inside has a large conference table, possibly consisting of three desks, with a number of chairs is in the center of the spacious room with light gray paint and large pane glass windows.

Men in suits and Chief Tsuragamae are holding a meeting regarding the current state of their pursuit.

“Tomura Shigaraki, the bratty man-child had evolved; his plans and thoughts grew more strategic, he appeared to focus on molding our society.” A raven-haired man began.

“All Might’s been out of the picture, we’ve lost our first biggest deterrent to criminal activity and Endeavor took over then we’ve almost lost our second biggest deterrent to criminal activity...”

“All Might’s weakened body had been exposed to the world; everyone knew the indestructible hero could be defeated.”

“Endeavor almost lost his life when he fought against the High-End Nomu. And our country lost the first Symbol of Peace and almost the current Symbol of Peace, both lost to All for One.”

“However, Shigaraki was groomed and manipulated by the Demon Lord.”

“The Quirk-Destroying Drugs that we received from Hawks are the same ones that Overhaul had been producing, never would’ve thought the Demon Lord kept them.”

“And most of the League of Villains members disbanded, all but two, Himiko Toga and Twice, are assisting Hawks.”

“Honestly, even though we captured their ex-boss the first time and the Gunsmokers killed him the second and final time, I’d have to say this whole thing now is a win.”

“Don’t be stupid. We don’t know anything about the Ultimate Lifeform nor his Quirk.” Argued the Police Chief, a swept-back gray-haired man with a silver ring on his finger.

“Given what Detective Tsukauchi stated, Shadow, along with his acquaintances, are actually from another dimension.” Chf. Tsuragamae pointed out.

“Normally, we would apprehend villains and vigilantes, no matter what, as the police. But I think in this rare instance, we should pardon the Gunsmokers.” He suggested.

“I suppose we can do that, and if this Shadow guy and his acquaintances are anything like the principal of UA, then I say this a second coming.” The gray-haired Police Commissioner reconsidered it.
