Between the Sheets, Between the Lines

Summary:

You—just another burnt-out uni student drowning in financial stress, barely holding yourself together. That’s what led you to this worn-down, cheap apartment you now call your second home. And that’s how you met your new roommate, Solivan.

He’s quiet, awkward, and tall, with raven-black hair streaked with green and silver piercings on both ears and his lip. His piercing red-orange eyes and intense stare made you uneasy at first, like he was sizing you up without a word. But the longer you lived with him, the more you realized—he wasn’t nearly as intimidating as he looked.

Then there’s your best friend, Crowe.

Tall, soft-spoken, and always composed, with warm brown skin, dark brown hair, and deep blue eyes that somehow always made you feel seen. He’s been by your side through every high and low, your constant support. And yeah, you’ve been crushing on him for a while now. But the fear of ruining your friendship keeps the words trapped in your throat.

Now here you are— caught in a tangled mess. You’re in a friends-with-benefits situation with your emotionally confusing roommate, while secretly harboring real feelings for your best friend.

I started writing this fanfic because I HATE my current college life and desperately needed an escape from reality. I'm also currently on my semester break so I have nothing better to do lol. This AU is NOWHERE close to the canon storyline of the game, I basically took the characters from TKATB and made up my own story and scenarios around them— so please don't expect it to follow the original plot in any way.

As of now, I don't have a fixed ending in mind, but I plan to just go with the flow and write whatever ideas come to me. If I do end up deciding on an ending, I'll probably make two different routes— one where reader ends with Crowe, and another with Sol.

And this fanfic is both Crowe x reader and Sol x reader (cause you a hoe! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜) You've got a crush on your sweet best friend, Crowe, but also caught up in a "friends with benefits" situation with your freaky roommate, Sol.

This fanfic features a femme reader— which I have mentioned a few times throughout the story, having a vagina and is referred to as a girl. I also used she/her pronouns on reader.

In this AU, Sol isn’t a full-on yandere killer— he's more of a quiet, awkward guy with serious kinky tendencies behind closed doors (from his lack of physical contact, so basically touch deprived lol) He still has yandere vibes, but they're far more tame compared to the game. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I’ll also try to add smut or heavy sexual tensions every 1-3 chapters, depending on the flow ദ്ദി •⩊• ) Chapters marked with a ✧ will contain explicit sexual scenes.

Also, I've added a few original characters (that aren't in the game) to help with the plot and fill in gaps (so I'm sorry if your name is the same as theirs). English isn't my native language, so I apologize in advance for any grammar or language mistakes. This is also my first long-form fanfic :3
