Chapter Text
Life is not difficult as an omega in 2025. Most people no longer care about the levels or castes of alpha, beta, and omega. They live their lives as usual. There are many shops that provide various needs for alpha, beta, and omega. Both in terms of physical, biological, mental needs, and so on. There are also various new policies from the government for alpha, beta and omega based on human rights.
Well, life isn't that hard as an omega in 2025... At least that's what Ochako hopes.
Ochako ran as fast as she could, jumping from building to building, from rooftop to rooftop, from pole to pole, even doing somersaults in the air using her quirk. Her breath was ragged, her eyes fixed forward.
Yeah, good job, you're amazing Ochako! HOW CAN YOU BE LATE ON YOUR FIRST DAY OF WORK?!
Ochako grumbled in annoyance to herself. She was 15 minutes late even though she had set the alarm for 5 am, how careless! The Omega in her was only lazy to wake up for 1 day, but it actually affected Ochako who also became lazy to wake up early. Because of that, she didn't have time to choose the clothes she wanted to wear to the office, she didn't have time to get dressed, she didn't have time to go by train, she didn't even have time to have breakfast! What a mess!
Now, she runs around, jumping upside down to get to the office without using public transportation. Embarrassing. Hopefully no one sees Ochako making a scene alone in the air. When she arrived in front of the office gate, Ochako immediately ran to open the office gate, but wait…
The gate is locked?!
Ochako panicked to death.
"NOOOOO!! THEY WILL FIRING ME ON THE FIRST DAY OF WORK!!" Ochako screamed as she fell to her knees in front of the office fence. Ochako expressed her defeat by kneeling and hitting the asphalt of the street.
It felt like all of Ochako's struggles had ended in vain because of this. She remembered her struggles in finding a job. The times when she revised her CV (curriculum vitae) 10 times, took professional certifications in various places, took various bootcamps and workshops, took 1001 webinars whose certificates have not been sent by the committee yet, watched TikTok videos about what needs to be prepared for finding a job, watched the vlog video of 99 influencers on Instagram entitled 'A day in my life as a corporate slave', spent her time all day on LinkedIn, replied to all HRD posts on LinkedIn with the comment "Very insightful!". No way! Ochako didn't want to have to do those things again, she was very tired.
‘Is this the end of my struggle? Will I fail again? Will I–’
"Uhh.. sorry, are you okay?"
A Batagor (Indo fried meatball tofu) seller with purple hair and sleepy eyes appeared beside Ochako. His words were full of worry, but his facial expression showed laziness, tiredness, and sleepiness.
"Bro.. I failed.."
“What do you mean?”
Coughing, Ochako pointed her finger at the locked gate of her office with trembling hands and teary eyes. The batagor seller stared at the locked gate and then looked back at Ochako. He let out a long sigh. He acted like he had been working for thousands of years and had never slept or rested.
"Miss... it's Saturday, it’s weekend," he said with a tired expression.
Ochako was silent.
Without waiting for a reply from Ochako, the purple-haired batagor seller went back to his stall and immediately fell asleep among the pile of chairs and stray cats nearby.
Ochako then got up and walked away from the office fence slowly, then she ran fast. She then stopped in a quiet alley. Closing her eyes, she sat down and screamed.
"AAAARRGGHHH DAMN IT"
"W-what's wrong with me?! How embarrassing, why didn't I check the calendar before I acted! Why is today such a mess!" she said while squeezing her round cheeks.
Today was truly an unlucky day for her as an omega in 2025. Ochako sat for a moment on the edge of the alley, pondering the events that had passed so quickly.
Not long after, a powerful aroma was smelled that made Ochako's nose shake left and right. Ochako was shocked, she spontaneously stood up and continued to sniff.
From a distance, Ochako smelled the strong aroma. The aroma of pleasure.. the aroma of luxury.. the aroma of heaven.. The aroma of durian...
Ochako's eyes widened and stared intently at the durian aroma. From the direction of the 12 o'clock hand, there was a form of orange and green aroma smoke, the aroma smoke seemed to show itself and lead Ochako to where the durian aroma was. The sharp fangs on her teeth slowly appeared. She quickly ran towards the source of the aroma. Looking for her beloved durian.

Katsuki sighed for the umpteenth time. His face looked tired as he read the email from the market shop owner.
For the umpteenth time, Katsuki received complaints from residents, traders, and market shop owners because of 'durian'. It is natural for people to complain because not everyone likes the smell of durian. However, this is a market! There are many smells here, from the smell of fish, the smell of animal meat, the smell of spices! Not to mention the added smell of pheromones from hundreds of people who are in this market every day.
Since the beginning of opening the shop, Katsuki has been placed in a shophouse in the back area, where there are rarely any customers who go around there. In fact, almost no visitors want to set foot in the back area because the front area of the market is much more attractive. In the end, Katsuki's durian shop became the only shop in the back area. Even though Katsuki's durian shop is in the back area, Katsuki always tries to cover the smell of durian with a safe odor neutralizer spray (one of the current food technology innovations) so that no one smells the aroma of durian fruit. Katsuki has been very careful and acted according to the rules and norms, but his presence is still considered 'disturbing' the peace of all market sellers.
Since Katsuki's own pheromone scent is durian, he also always wears an anti-pheromone necklace for himself so that his pheromones cannot be smelled. But even so, ever since the market traders found out that Katsuki's pheromone scent is durian, they always cover their noses and express nausea when they see Katsuki. Even though he always wears an anti-pheromone necklace, where it is impossible for his pheromone scent to be smelled. There are countless traders in the market who always look at Katsuki with disgust, nausea, and some even look at him with concerned eyes but are reluctant to interact with Katsuki.
Not only about the smell, they even commented on Katsuki's hair which was allegedly similar to durian. They considered the visual as a "creepy" visual. Katsuki didn't even understand, if they asked to cover Katsuki's durian, then how could Katsuki sell?! The purpose of people going to the market is to see the quality of the durian fruit directly! If it was all covered up, the shop would look like a closed shop! So fucking ridiculous!
"Fuck.." Katsuki could only sigh and try to hold back his anger.
Katsuki felt like protesting about this. But sadly, this world is sometimes unfair to an alpha with durian pheromones who works as a durian seller in the market.
//BANG// //CRASH//
There was a sound of falling things from the front. Katsuki was immediately shocked and went towards the source of the sound. In front of him was a woman lying on the floor gasping for breath, it seemed like she had just fallen. Katsuki panicked and immediately ran to the woman.
"Hey, Are you okay?!"
"Oh yeah, I'm fine--" Ochako opened her eyes and immediately her mouth froze.
'Gosh, why did a handsome guy suddenly come here? Oh my, did he see me fall? SO EMBARRASSING!' Ochako said while wincing in her heart. Ochako was embarrassed by her actions so she tried to avert her gaze from Katsuki's gaze. But when she turned her gaze back, she saw a shop selling lots of durians from behind Katsuki's body.
"DURIAN!" Ochako shouted loudly.
"Yeah??" Katsuki answered hesitantly. This woman had no pheromone scent at all, it was hard to guess her expression. Katsuki guessed she was wearing anti-pheromone perfume. In his silence, Katsuki was full of questions in his head. Would this woman curse Katsuki because he sold durian? Would he be demonstrated for selling durian? Or would she curse Katsuki who smelled of durian? But Katsuki was already wearing an anti-pheromone necklace, it was impossible for his durian scent to be smelled by this woman. Honestly, Katsuki currently didn't have the energy to get angry or fight with anyone. What did this woman really want?
Ochako then held both of Katsuki's hands tightly. With sparkling eyes, blushing cheeks, and a mouth full of smiles with her tiny fangs, Ochako looked at Katsuki and said,
"Love!!"
"HUH?!?!?"
"I love durian!!"
Katsuki was shocked by Ochako's words. The sweet woman bravely held Katsuki's hand and said words of love to durian. A fruit that is hated by the entire community. This is the first time someone has expressed their love for durian with a feeling of sincerity of love, strong dedication to love, and hunger that can be seen from the saliva that is almost dripping from Ochako's mouth.
Katsuki smiled softly at Ochako, he responded to Ochako's hand grip by rubbing his thumb on Ochako's hand.
"Want to buy durian? I happen to be the seller."
Ochako's already sparkling eyes sparkled even brighter.
"Yes, I want to!"
***
"Please sit down first, I'll wrap the durian first. By the way, how much do you want to buy?"
"4 Durian please~"
"Wtf that's too much, can you carry it?!"
"Relax~ I can carry it using my quirk" Ochako then touched 1 durian and made it float with her quirk. Making Katsuki stunned in awe seeing her quirk.
"Holy shit, your quirk is really cool, ‘kay, I'll pack 4 of them."
"Yippie, Thank you!"
Katsuki then wrapped 4 durians. After wrapping them, he placed the durians on the table in front of Ochako. Just as Ochako was about to ask how much the durians were, Katsuki interrupted her.
"Hey, wait a minute," he said as he ran into the shop.
In the quiet atmosphere, Ochako suddenly came to her senses while covering her face. She winced remembering all the random events today. She even unconsciously held the durian seller's hand while saying 'love'. Oh my gosh, this is very embarrassing! Also, what was that? Did her fangs come out too while she talks to the durian seller? Damn, she's like someone in heat with fangs coming out, even though it's just the smell of durian!
But, this is not Ochako's fault either, the smell of durian is very strong and tempting. Who wouldn't be hypnotized by this heavenly aroma? Durian is literally a treat from heaven, a fruit from heaven, Ochako is sure that when she enters heaven the aroma that she will smell will be the aroma of durian! It's no wonder she lost consciousness in front of the seller because of the heavenly aroma of durian fruit.
Not long after, Katsuki came out from inside carrying something towards Ochako.
"Here, there's durian ice cream and durian pancakes. If you're hungry, just eat them here, if you want," said Katsuki while covering his cheeks, hoping that his red face wouldn't be so visible.
"Omg! Oh, I really want to! It's been years since I ate durian snacks! How much will this be?"
"No need to pay, this is free, c’mon let's eat before it melts."
They both sat down and ate ice cream and durian pancakes. Ochako ate them all with gusto and joy. Seeing Ochako's enthusiasm, Katsuki smiled in relief. He was very happy that his first customer ate happily.
"This is really delicious! Oh, I'm so annoyed. If I had known there was a durian shop here, I would have shopped in this area a long time ago."
"Is your house far?"
"Not really, it's only 3 stations away. But it's close to my workplace."
Ochako began to tell Katsuki about her morning misfortune, Katsuki laughed at Ochako's silly behavior. He also gave a lot of advice and tips to be able to focus when waking up in the morning, even giving a nutritious food recipe so that Ochako could stay fit and focused. From what was originally a chat about today, it turned into a casual and light chat until without them realizing it, the snacks that Katsuki brought were gone. And they had spent their time chatting for 4 hours, and they did it without introducing each other's names.
Ochako was shocked when she looked at her watch. It was already 2 pm but what was even more shocking was why the shop was so quiet, not even a single person had walked or set foot in the shop. Curious, Ochako asked Katsuki.
"Why is it so quiet on Saturday? Usually on weekends, people are busy going to the market and doing thrift shopping in this area."
Katsuki was silent, he was confused about how to respond to her answer without having to vent his anger and sadness. He then changed the subject.
"I don't know, are you going home yet?"
"Yeah, it's getting better, it looks like we should go home soon." Ochako said while taking her wallet to pay for her order of 4 durians. They then made the payment transaction process.
"Yeah, it's getting cloudy like it's going to rain, I have to go home soon." Ochako said while taking her wallet to pay for her order of 4 durians. They then made the payment transaction process.
"Be careful on the road, okay? Don't eat the durian too quickly or you'll choke."
“Aye-aye~”
Ochako then walked towards the exit. But before she left, she looked back at the durian seller. The durian seller's face looked sad, hidden in silence. Ochako also felt strange with Katsuki's response, which seemed to be covering something up. For some reason, Ochako wanted to know why the durian seller was sad, what was he hiding?
She then clenched her fists and said, "Next week!"
"Next week, on Saturday, will you open the shop?"
"Yes, I op--"
"CanIstopbyagain?"
After saying that sentence, Ochako's cheeks turned red like a tomato. She then lowered her head.
'Gosh, did I sound weird? It seemed like I was forcing him to open the shop, was I that desperate? I'm so embarrassing!' she muttered to herself.
A small laugh was heard from the durian seller.
"Yes, of course, the shop is open. I'll be waiting for you to come, round face."
"Round face? Hey, i’m not round!"
"Don't you have a mirror at home?"
"Shut up, you blonde durian"
They both laughed at each other's taunts.
Ochako finally said goodbye to the blonde durian (that’s his new nickname). On her way home, she felt very happy. Life is not difficult as an omega in the year 2025. Because of her carelessness today, she was not late for work, she accidentally managed to find a durian shop near the office, and she met the blonde durian, the kind durian seller. Ochako was getting more excited, she hoped to be able to meet the blonde durian again soon!
The end of Part 1
