I could feel his gaze on me, full of anticipation as he blew on the liquid again, carefully bringing the spoon to my lips.
- I know, but having your gorgeous boyfriend take care of you for a day sounds even better, right?
· GIFT GIVING:
- Don't you know? I like you. That's why I keep giving you things that remind me of you. I believe it's called pebbling, I read it somewhere once.
It took me a short while to process his words.
- It's called... what?
??? smiled, probably amused by my confused expression.
Pebbling. – He repeated. – Have you never heard of it? It's something penguins do.
· PHYSICAL TOUCH:
- So you said you've never played an instrument before... right? Then why would you want to join the band in the first place?
Because I like you, I wanted to say. Because I wanted to get closer to you, because my friends know I've been crushing on you for years and apparently decided to write my name on the audition list behind my back, so I couldn't cancel.

- Wait, don't move, you have something on your face.
Before I could even realise it, I felt one of his fingers touch the tip of my nose, leaving some warm runny liquid on top of it.
- Huh?
My eyes widened while ??? covered his mouth, uncontrollably laughing as he pointed at my surprised face.
- Oh, you are so dead now.
· WORDS OF AFFIRMATION:
I shifted under the sheets, rubbing my eyes before sitting up against the headboard and carefully scanning the room, looking for signs, looking for anything that indicated that ??? had selfishly given up on our relationship and ran away.
I looked around, hoping to spot ??? hiding somewhere, but he was nowhere to be seen. After a few seconds, I hesitantly grabbed another heart.
Inside the heart was a single question, four words.
Below it was an empty space, ready to be filled with an answer.
