It had gotten bad again. Ok well maybe bad wasn't the right word as Soul slumped against a while somewhere in the castle (she'd stop counting how many turns she took before this). It really hadn't been a great day for her, mainly because as she was still trying to get through to Netherum about things with both the realm and how she was running the court, some....not great- well not kind words were said and she left them alone.
Hence why she was here now, barley feeling the tears starting to fall down her eyes as she just tried to breathe.
They didn't mean any of it?
Right?
Soul didn't even hear the footsteps of someone else coming down the hall as they stopped.
"Soul?" The warrior paused as she looked up at her with tear filled eyes.
"Mhm? Whats up Nexus?" Soul tried to pull herself back together but that act practically fell as Nexus sat by her.
"Whats wrong?"
"Its- nothing 'm fine-"
"Soul i can even tell from a mile away your not okay, what happened?"
Soul didn't respond for a moment, trying to find the words and not just break down into sobs.
"Just- stress- with-"
"You want a hug?" Nexus opened her arms as Soul more crashed into her as the tears she had been holding back began to fall. Nexus barley had time to react but quickly did the best she could to comfort her.
Soul just broke, didnt say anything just let it all come crashing out of her system, the parts it felt like she had been hiding and pushing down just so this didn't happen.
But you can't repress emotions for that long she'd quickly figured out now.

"Whats stressing you out?" Nexus asked after a while, Soul had mainly stopped crying but her face stayed tear stained.
"Everything-" She kinda mumbled, still trying to find where it exactly she had hit her breaking point.
"Doesn't help with Netherum doesn't listen...."
"They're...stubborn like that to say the least,"
" 'm trying my best but it gets hard when things are said," Soul tucked herself into them more.
"You're doing so much for the court, hell the entire realm and I'm so proud of you for that,"
Soul slightly smiled amongst the tears falling, not wanting to look up. But Nexus pulled back a little just so she could look at her with a soft smile.
"Your working with what you were given with and you've helped with so many things,"
"Thats not what she said...."
Nexus looked at Soul, lightly rubbing her back.
"What did they tell you?"
Soul almost hesitated but more kept quiet as she talked.
"...don't deserve this, being who i am now, and that I'm not actually helping 'm making everything worse-"
Nexus stopped and forze for a very small moment before responding.
"I'll talk to her later about it. She's wrong though, you're doing so much for us,"
Soul pulled back a little more just to look at her.
"You go take a break, go breathe, we can discuss more things in the morning,"
"But-"
"No, you need a break i can tell. Go get into something comfy and take a break,"
Soul went to fight them on it but she knew they were right, it had been a bit anyway.
"Ok....ok i will,"
Nexus gave her a smile and helped her stood back up.
"Good, then I'll see you in the morning?"
"Yes, you will. Thank you,"
"You ever need anything from me or even help just ask, I'm always willing to help you,"
Soul smiled slightly.
"Thank you, goodnight!"
"Nite!"
