Chapter Text
“ R-Rumi? ” It was Zoey, the real Zoey, who found her first. She had hoped for it to be Mira so she could save their Maknae the view. In reality, she didn’t really want anyone to see. She didn’t want them to help her, she didn’t want them to help a mistake .

It was like any other evening, they had fought demons and after went to the bathhouse, without Rumi of course, but even after all these years they still wondered, why?
They both lay in the tub, sighing loudly as they both sunk deeper, wanting to be fully relaxed. They sat in silence, and it was a little weird, they usually had something to converse about, but this time, the only thing that seemed to come up in both of their heads was why Rumi, as usual, didn’t go to the bathhouse with them.
“Hey Mira?” It was Zoey who broke the silence.
“Hm?” Mira hummed in return.
“Why do you think Rumi doesn’t go to the bathhouse with us?”
“I don’t really know Zo, I’m not really Rumi, am I?” She said with a hint of tease, but even then, she still worried about their leader.
“I know that, but… It kinda worries me you know?” Zoey’s mind drifted off to her last year in middle school in America, she remembered how she had a friend there who, just like Rumi, one day always started to wear hoodies.
She always questioned her, but she always had an excuse, either it was “too cold” or she didn’t have anything else in her closet. Of course Zoey knew something else was going on, she knew something happened to one of her family members and from there on out, her friend gradually became… sadder.
And eventually, the news came, her friend was found dead on her bed, pills all over the floor. This had broken her of course, she thought if she could have been a better friend, saw the signs, helped her, she could still be here right now.
“-ey?” Mira looked at her as if she had just been in a trance.
“Zoey? You okay there?” Mira said, her voice softer than her usual stoic tone. It was cute, when she heard it all the other times in the past.
“Y-yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. Something just… something just came across my mind.”
“You sure? Seemed like you saw a ghost. What’s going-“
“I’m fine! Really. Nothing to worry about.” Zoey cut her off before she could finish.
“You’re acting like Rumi right now,” Zoey flinched a little. “please tell me what’s going on?”
“Look… I may be wrong… but do you think she..?” Zoey didn’t need to complete the sentence when she saw the look in Mira’s eye. How it had turned from a slight teasing glint to a more serious and thinking look.
“I… hope not…” Mira’s voice had never gone this soft before, never. She thought it sounded so angelic, so beautiful-
Mira slowly grabbed her hand gently, and it took Zoey by surprise. “M-me neither.”
