Lan Wangji glances again between Wei Ying and Jiang Wanyin, takes a sip of tea, then fires his opening salvo.
“Sect Leader Jiang looks extremely beautiful this evening,” he says.
Jiang Wanyin freezes. Wei Ying, who had been pouring himself more tea, jerks and misses his cup. Lan Wangji takes another calm sip.
