“My loverse…” Rouxls whined. “How they haveth failede me!”
“Don’t worry, Mister Rouxls!” Ralsei smiled, attempting to comfort him. “I’m sure you’re better off without them!”
It was a lie. A big, fat, ugly lie. He had really learned a lot about lying from Susie in the past few days.
“Are thou sureth?” the man asked. “As much as they art beloweth me, I do still believe they shouldst still have a chance to embrace mine glorye.”
Ralsei paused. As much as he wanted to console Rouxls, he didn’t want to say anything mean about the weather duo.
“Well, it didn’t really work out, you know? Just… accept the single life! Walk around in your freedom!”
“Oh Prince, thou art correct! The peopleth of weathere… they do not deserveth mine glory!” Rouxls proclaimed.
That, too, was a lie.
Ralsei smiled awkwardly.
Susie’s influence really was large.
K_K was upset for some reason. He did not know why he was upset. Which only upset him even more!
Nothing bad had happened with Sweet and Cap’n. Right? They were fine.
Maybe it was food. He ate… something, this morning. Maybe it was expired.
Or was it more dangerous than that? Did he lick poison? Was he poisoned?
K_K told himself he was thinking too hard. Being upset is fine, it’s not harmful.
He’d just stay on the couch for a bit.
He’d feel better soon.
K_K was not better. At all.
If anything, he felt worse! Unaccomplished and upset.
And all because he didn’t know anything about what he was feeling.
He sighed and pulled himself out of bed. Oh, what he would give to be picked up and carried around comfortably. Maybe by a car. With arms for some reason. A cute, blue car!
Imagining that, K_K was able to manage to get out of bed. He would get through this with the power of fresh air and walking around outside!
He strolled on out of the shop, putting on that cheery smile everyone knew him by.
He waved at the Plugboys and Hathy. He danced by the Swatchlings.
But no matter what he did, that sinking feeling in his stomach wouldn’t go away.
K_K heard someone calling his name. He turned around and immediately recognized the two.
“Elnina! Lanino! And… some yellow one!” he exclaimed, trying to be friendly.
“This CD Player is Pissing me off.” the yellow guy said.
“I’m the original Starwalker”
K_K automatically continued the conversation. What Starwalker was like, how the couple (now throuple!) were doing these days, if they’d found a new job…
Truthfully, he was curious about Rouxls.
Ralsei had told the trio about TV World, and explained that Rouxls was in a relationship with Elnina and Lanino.
He didn't think Ralsei mistook their names. He seemed to remember everyone fairly well.
And they couldn’t have broken up so soon. After all, Rouxls seemed so wonderful to be around!
His confusion got the better of him.
“Why isn’t Rouxls with you?” he blurted out. Judging by their faces, he should’ve thought before he talked.
“Oh. Him.” Lanino said. He looked… uncomfortable. “Well, he…”
He was cut off by Elnina’s shrieking sobs. “Oh, Rouxls… he was so hot, but so, so unbearably annoying!” she exclaimed.
“Oh, I see!” K_K said. “So did you…?”
He didn’t know why, but he felt kind of happy about it.
Lanino sighed. “Yes, we decided it was best to let him go. As much as we wished to work it out, he was awful. Unlike our Original Starwalker, here!”
K_K laughed nervously. He didn’t want to get tangled up in their mushy couple activities.
They said their goodbyes and headed out.
As K_K walked through Castle Town, his stomach felt more comfortable. He was glad it was better, but he still didn’t know what helped.
He’d write about this. Maybe in the morning, he’d know what to do.
For now, he’d enjoy the rest of the evening, with happier feelings than earlier.
