red and blue (colours of you)

Summary:

Natasha was red .
Red lipstick.
Red dress.
Red hair.

(red like blood. like anger. like pain)
Red.
(like her ledger)

She knew what she was. She had long accepted it.
(never forget)

And then one day, blue .

OR

People are always getting Natasha stuff in red. One day, someone gets her something blue.

Natasha was red .

(red like blood. like anger. like pain)

Red.

(like her ledger)

She knew what she was. She had long accepted it.

(never forget)

And then one day, blue .

Nothing much, just a soft blue hoodie and a distracted “Keep it.”

She didnt wear it at first. It was blue , but she was red , like her past. Blue was for innocence, peace.

(a wide open sky on a cloudless day, two little girls laughing)

Not for her.

(not now)

She was violence and seduction.

(long legs, heels, a sharp grin)

She was guns and knives.

(almost as sharp as her smirk)

She was a manipulator, a killer.

(a bullet through the heart)

Poised and perfect.

(blood. on the walls, the floor, the ceiling)

( red

She wasn’t calmness.

(a soft voice)

She wasn’t comfort.

(gentle, so gentle)

It wasnt her.

(a child)

Blue was youth. Kindness.

(a bottle, a bathroom, hair, laughter)

She was red .

She wore blue.

Notes:

I imagine blue starting off as something secret to her, something she only wears in private, until one day shes brave enough to wear it in front of others.

Poor Natasha :(

Remember young Natasha's blue hair in the Black Widow movie? No way the Red Room let her keep it.
