Arcobaleno’s Hero Academia

Summary:

In a world where the Arcobaleno curse does not turn those cursed into physical toddlers but does stop them from aging, Skull and his fellow Arcobaleno slowly grew closer instead of splitting apart after the Fated Day. However, the curse was stronger, unwilling to be broken while in effect. After finding an alternative to the curse, they were to be the last generation. They had a good run, truly. But eventually the curse consumed the last of their flames, killing them one by one. Skull was the last one left, with the exception of Yuni, and when his flames finally ran out, the last thing he expected was to open his eyes to see a hospital room.

Notes:

This is a re write of Skull’s Hero Academia! I intend to keep the same general idea of it while also expanding on it. It will be both a re write and a continuation! There will be some changes however, any questions or comments please let me know!

This is just a preview! I am still writing the full chapter :)

Chapter Text

It has been 41 years since they were cursed, 51 if you count ‘The Future That Never Was.’ And Skull was the last Arcobaleno standing. His entire Harmony was gone. It was disorienting. He knew that it was bound to happen at one point, and they all lasted way longer than anyone thought they would.

Skull felt it instantly, when Reborn’s Flames fully diminished. The Cloud’s entire world, already full of cracks, completely shattered. Violet Flames consumed him in rage as he destroyed the Arcobaleno Mansion. Thankfully it was long abandoned, the only inhabitants having been the Arcobaleno, and Yuni who had been staying with Byakuran and Tsuna since the curse started killing them off.

Skull raged continuously for days, his Flames only starting to diminish once the entire property was destroyed and covered in purple fire. Eventually Skull collapsed. His body had long weakened, only supported through pure will and Flames. The tale of the last Cloud Arcobaleno’s rage would become a horror story in the Mafia told for ages. Skull was so tired, his Flames and body were well pushed past their limit. Flame exhaustion hit him like a truck.

He closed his eyes for a moment of rest. And when he blinked them open, everything changed.

Purple eyes slowly fluttered open to see nothing but bright white. Everything was quiet for just that moment until a loud scream abruptly pierced through the silence. He had been alone, so who could the scream be coming from? Is this a dream? A nightmare? What was going on?! His thoughts were interrupted by a blob of blurry green coming into view, growing larger and larger as it became more clear what Skull was seeing. Is that a person? Who is this green lady towering above him? Why does he feel so.. Small… Realization dawned on Skull in near instantly. He was a baby. A newly born baby to be exact. Probably just having been born. The scream must be coming from him then, he figured. That woman must be his mother. She smiled at him so warmly, eyes showing both tiredness and of love.
“Hello Izuku. I am Inko, your mother” She had softly greeted him as her son was placed in her waiting arms. Her voice was unknown yet it filled Skull’s chest with a warm feeling. It felt like home. The crying came to a stop.

Izuku… That must be his new name. Not bad but he still preferred Skull to be honest. It might have started as nothing but a stage name, but now, after everything that happened in the mafia, he couldn’t imagine any other name that fit who he was so perfectly. He would have to go along with it for now, and when he is older, he can go back to Skull again. Another voice rang out, this one belonging to a man. It was slightly familiar..

“I’m Hisashi, and I am your father, little one.” The man had medium white hair pulled into a low ponytail. His eyes were an auburn color, shining more red than brown in the light. Round glasses sat on his nose..

Oh that motherfucker! What the fuck is Kawahira doing here? And did he just say that he was Skull’s father?!

Purple eyes met auburn ones. “Oh, I see. Why hello, my little Cielo Nuvoloso.” ‘Cloudy Sky- He just called me a Cloudy Sky?! What the actual fuck?!’ Skull was most definitely freaking out. He started screaming again, this time slightly intentional. He knew it might have been mean but he had a lot going on at the moment, okay? He was allowed to have a mental breakdown or two. And if it made Kawahira flinch then that was just a bonus. He deserved it.

Having to grow up again was… something. It was boring and repetitive for the first few months. The only fun he had during that time was when he messed with Checker Face. Skull had taken to always fusing around him which quickly turned into screaming if the man came too close. It was inevitable, though, that Inko started to take notice and worry. Hisashi always tried brushing it off, saying Izuku would eventually grow out of it and the father and son would grow closer.

Skull took notice how much Kawahira seemed to love the angel that was his new mother. Inko seemed to love him back, just as much. While Skull had not grown to care for Kawahira, he had grown to care for Inko. He never had actual parents growing up the first time, having one was new to him. But he found he did not mind. She was lovely and an amazing mother.

Skull had a choice to make. He could either keep punishing Kawahira for what he had done, which was upsetting his mother, or he could suck it up and try to reconcile with him. He pondered over what decision to make for days until he came to a decision. If he was truly Skull’s father in this life, then he would be stuck with the Mist. At least until he turned 18. Logically they would eventually come to some kind of understanding during that time, so why bother waiting? And that did not necessarily mean he was forgiving him either. Skull wanted to make the best of his new life. And if the other Arcobaleno were here, which he didn’t doubt, Checker Face could be helpful in locating them.

Later that night, Skull laid calmly in his bassinet. He saw Kawahira approaching him out of the corner of his eye. The older man paused when he realized Izuku was not asleep, but watching him quietly. “I suppose it is time for us to talk, Skull.” He sounded resigned. Kawahira walked up to the bassinet, reaching down to pick Izuku up. He held him close, for a second, before he sat down in the rocking chair nearby.

“I know this situation is strange, it definitely was for me when I woke up in this world, and I hope you can fully comprehend the world around you like I was able to at your age, but as I said we need to have a chat, Skull De Mort.” Oh shit. Not the full name.

Notes:

I am not going to lie, I am having a slighlty tough time figuring out who some of the Arco should be reborn as sobs. I know Reborn and Verde, and Yuni, but thats it. If anyone has ideas or thoughts lemme know <3
