Chapter Text

He couldn't believe that his brother had made that decision, so what if he was technically older, the three of them hatched in the same clutch!

Speaking of, maybe he had an idea for how to… teach his brother a lesson, sure they'd probably lose her to this, but if their brother was going to be this stupid, then he might as well show him the consequences.

After all, there's nothing quite like setting a feral elder vampire on the loose to set things straight. It'd be worth it in the end, even if at the beginning she wouldn't forgive him for this, and at the end she wouldn't be herself, their brother needed to learn his lesson.

Gasping awake, she tried to discern what had happened, where she was, she was surprised she could see, then she remembered. Tears came to her eyes as she did, why was she still alive? Where was her brother? Where was SHE?

So many questions came to her mind as she sobbed on the ground she awoke upon.

Eventually, she managed to lift her head to look around again. Seeing she was likely in a crypt, likely one under a keep, it looked old though, so she wasn't sure if there even would be a keep above, and she was surprised these crypts were still functionable.

She finally, a bit shakily, got up from the ground she was sitting on, knowing she needed to move. She felt that foreign instinct that had been forced on her by them call out in hunger, she felt the desire to feed

She did her best to ignore it though, knowing indulging would be bad on both fronts. Since she would need to tear into someone's throat to feed, and because feeding would increase that instincts control over her.

As she slowly made her way up, she couldn't help but wonder how long it had been since she was last awake. Just then, she smelt blood, and when her eyes narrowed to slits, and her body started to move without her control, she knew it had been too long.

1x had slowly been making his way through the ruins, he was pretty sure this place used to be an old keep at this point.

However, when he was shifting some of the stones to get a better look at something, he'd accidentally lost his grip for a moment, and one of the sharp edges had slit open his palm.

Deciding it best to patch up his wound before continuing, he found a place to sit. Bringing out his medical supplies, first making sure to disinfect before carefully bandaging the wound.

Just as he finished that, he heard a shuffling behind him, confused, he turned around drawing one of his swords as he did so.

He saw a woman, white hair covering her eyes, white feathered wings practically dragging on the ground, a white scaled tail with a tufted of fur on the end dragged along the ground behind her, white horns protruding from the top of her head.

There was something else he noted, something that made him slowly start backing up. She looked to have small splatters of red blood covering her.

“Ma'am, are you alright?” He decided to ask, even knowing that she very much didn't look even the slightest bit ok. She seemed to perk up a bit at his voice, her slow pace speeding up a bit as she made her way towards him.

“Ma'am?” He drew his other sword as he realised that there was a very high chance she was about to attack him. Backing up a bit quicker now, he kept his gaze on the woman, even if in hindsight he should have also been paying attention to the ground as well.

He didn't see the rock before his boot smacked into it as he walked backwards. He stumbled, trying to regain his balance, looking back to see what he'd stumbled upon. He barely looked back in time to see the woman's red eyes before she lunged.

She tackled him, causing him to drop his swords, they struggled on the ground, him trying to get her off

At some point, he ends up flat on the ground, and before he can react, he feels the woman bite into his neck. Letting out a pained noise, he struggles, but at this point, she isn't letting go.

Slowly, he feels himself start to go numb, his struggling weakening, and his vision slowly going black.

She slowly regains control of her body, realizing what she had just done. She quickly removes her fangs from the man's neck, he looks on the verge of death, she has taken too much blood.

Panicking, she attempted using her magic, it burned her. Clutching her now burned arms, she was even more panicked now, then the instinct came back from where it had gone into slumber after feeding. It offered an option, and, seeing no other choice, she took it.

He was drifting, everything was numb at this point, he wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. Then, he felt the ache in his neck turn painful again, then agony spread through his body from that point, he thrashed, he wasn't sure if he even screamed

Then, he didn't feel anything else, everything went completely black, and he knew no more.

At this point, she could only hope it worked, guilt rang heavy in her, but she saw no other way now.

Notes:

Yes, the woman who's the first vampire in this is Aurora, also with this story I want to delve more into my little head cannons for vampires, as well as delving a lot more into Aurora and her family. I hope you enjoyed! And yes, I know I should probably by working on Darkest Embrace, but, well, I had ideas. Also! This story has gone through many plot changes since I first started writing it, so yeah, I did end up completely rewriting it from the original plot, oh well.
