"Sir?" A man in white uniform addresses his senior, Markos Gildrak, the current head of the Royal knights. He was sitting on his desk, while reading the submitted report. Just outside of this building, people are gathering together to protest for justice for two people's wrongful 'deaths',
"It's about this protest right?" The
"Ye-Yes sir."
"Hmm." To say that the latest strings of protest weight on his mind will be a gross understatement.
"Do we have any solutions?" Markos asked to the knight again.
"Other than the current one? No we do not have." The knight replied
"Hmm."
As he thought about this, another knight appears and said:
"We have new reports on the new protests." the recently arrived knight announced to the two people in the room.
"And that is?"
"Felt is the one leading the new protests."
"So the usual huh."
"Wait what do you mean by that."
"Ever since Natsuki Subaru and his companion Rem's news of their death got leaked, protests started emerging from all parts of the country, asking for justice for them and with her leading almost every protests."
"Oh Od." the first knight said in disbelief.
"Since then , her camp has been focusing on bringing a lot of reforms."
"But then she could have become a king and done it in her way right? why did she refuse to become a king?"
"The existence of the Sage Council and the nobles. In her own words, she said that she would rather be a commoner than be a king who mindlessly follows their words."
"What about the Sword Saint then?" the second knight askes Markos.
"Drowning in guilt. to the point that he has started to lash out whenever someone spoke ill of Subaru."
"Oh dear."
"And what about the other former camps?"
"Well, for starters, Crush camp is dead thanks to Crush Karsten dying in her sleep eight years ago, and her knight is imprisoned for his condemnable actions against Natsuki Subaru. Anastatia's camp is also dead, with Anastatia Hoshin, died a few years ago due to a problem with her gate, and Julius resigning from the royal knights. Priscilla camp left to Vollachia after the Pristella incident."
"And the Emilia camp?" With a nervous voice, the first knight asked him to which, Markos sighed deeply and said:
"Surprisingly, not much is known about them, other than Otto Suven and Garfiel Tinzel, their internal affairs minister and shield respectively, resigned from their position in the camps."
"Other than that?"
"Nothing else is known other than that."
"So, that is how the camps are dealing with their deaths. Now, if no one has a question, lets quell these protests."
"Yes sir!"
As for the people who were supposed to be in the center of this mess—
“Subaru-kun?”
“Ah it’s nothing Rem, just… was remembering something about—”
“About Lugunica?”
“Well, yes. I just read the newspaper before and was wondering what was the true state of that country was.”
“Well, I heard… some say its in ruins, now that Vollachia is actively trying to wage war with them. Only very few people believe that news from Lugunica.”
“Also, you should come early today. Vincent-sama will be arriving to our house with Spica by his side so you better come early mister!”
“… You know what, I’ll come home with you now.”
“Eh??”
“Yeah. I want to spend time with my Rem, right? Also, Spica will come too so I can’t spend time with you at home at all, So I’ll come with you!”
“Okay!”
And so, the Star who was forsaken by the world, named Natsuki Subaru, Slayer of Sloth and the 2 great mabeast, Accused Archbishop of Pride and founder of The Pleaides Company based in Kararagi, went home with the Forgotten then Awakened Star, Natsuki Rem, his beloved and the love of his life to their home in Kararagi, where an stern Vincent Vollachia, with Spica, a former Archbishop of Gluttony turned Vollachia’s Savior and their daughter, Natsuki Electra were waiting inside for them.
Truly, a peaceful life for the couple, away from all the madness that was happening around them.
