Bite, Bite, Bite, Bite

Summary:

My fill for Huxloween and their Day 7/Prompt 7: Vampire.

TW for violence, sexual themes, and vampiric blood cravings.

Work Text:

It was known in vampire legend that the strongest, oldest coven were the Skywalkers, who had started from nothing and grown into the biggest threats to both the human and vampire races. Many fledgling and full-grown vampires tried their best to get in, whether through fighting, supporting (though cash or blood) or fucking. None had succeeded.

The latest addition to the coven were the two fledglings, one by blood and one by adoption. Both extremely powerful vampires who could hold their own against adults even at their age. Ben Solo, the older of the two, was almost in his adulthood, and the youngest, Rey, had been adopted from the lesser-known ally to the Skywalkers, the Kenobi coven. Ben Kenobi had practically been a third parent to the current head of the coven, Luke Skywalker, before he passed away from sudden sun exposure. So it didn’t seem that far a stretch that Luke, and his human turned vampiric husband Din, adopted the young fledgling twenty-odd years ago.

The family was the envy of all vampiric society. Not only did they have power over other vampires, being descended from Count Dracula himself and with the awesome ability of mind control, but they had had their claws in politics for centuries, especially Luke’s twin, Leia, who was known to manipulate many a country with her saccharine words.

In comparison, the Hux coven was laughable. Brendol Hux had been the head before his death, and it had been something once - a member of the league of vampires called the Empire, to which even the illustrious Skywalker clan belonged - but instead of capitalizing on his power when he had it, Brendol drank, smoked, and fucked his way through his miserable life until his son had finally had enough of his abuse and neglect and had driven a stake through his heart. The new head, and burgeoning adult vampire (just emerged from his fledgling years) Armitage Hux had tried to do better for himself. The Hux coven was just made up of himself, Cardinal, Phasma, Thannison, and Mitaka. Cardinal and Phasma had both been turned by his father, and Cardinal had been exposed to sunlight not long after Brendol’s death. Phasma herself came and went - though she and Hux were close, she didn’t have any obligation to serve him, and chose to spend her time feeding and fighting her way through the human population.

As for Mitaka and Thannison, they were fledglings both recently turned by Hux, which he considered no small feat. When vampires found humans suitable for turning into fledglings, they had to sneak away and do it themselves, or risk a higher-class vampire finding the human first and claiming it. Hux had had that happen to him far too often, sometimes even after he had already had his claws in the human’s delicate ribcage. Mitaka and Thannison were fairly weak, so he hadn’t had a hard time claiming them. They were scaredy-cats, true, but they would forever be loyal to him, and loyalty was one of the main supports of their immortal lifespans.

But Hux needed more members if he ever wanted to take his coven back into the glory days. So one fateful night, when the moon was full, he went hunting.

He slinked along the shadows of the urban street, careful to keep a mask over his mouth at all times. Thankfully, some awful disease had been scourging the humans lately, so he didn’t look out of place. He kept a hat over his ginger hair, which was uncommon among vampires and could be used to distinguish him as a member of the Hux coven.

He was looking among the weak - the sickly, the lonely, the poor - people who no one would notice if they went missing and never turned back up again. He had settled on a potential victim hiding from detection of the human police in an alley when he smelled the most amazing scent that had ever hit his nostrils in his life. Could it be the legendary human blood, Rhnull?! He had to taste it.

He ran towards the smell, and it took him closer and closer to a young, handsome human man, probably in his mid-20s. He had a mask on, likely to avoid the human plague, and his dark curls framed his face beautifully.

Fuck, thought Hux, I have to taste him, I have to have him.

Surely a human as wonderful as this hadn’t gone unnoticed, but Hux didn’t care. He was starving, and his body needed blood and sex more than ever. This man was the miracle he had been looking for.

He slowly walked into the adjoining alley from the man’s, and took his mask off, being careful to keep his face in the dark.

“Hey handsome,” he called, “wanna have some fun?”

The human’s head turned side to side, and it was almost cute. Oh how he loved playing these cat and mouse games.

“Psst,” he whispered seductively, “in the alley, lovely.”

The man turned towards him, and Hux exposed a milky white thigh into the street lights, showing off just enough that he could be appreciated by the man’s leering gaze.

“Good evening, beautiful,” the man called back, slowly walking towards him, “what have I done to deserve such a treat?”

“I just simply couldn’t let a catch like you wander off without a taste,” Hux flirted, licking his lips and mentally adding “literally” onto the end.

“Mmm, I’d love to. I bet I could leave so many marks on your thick, pale thighs, and all over your pretty neck… oh, hun, what a treat you’ve given me. You have no idea how much I needed this.”

Yes, come closer, Hux mentally cried out, almost there, my evening snack!

The man was practically within reach when Hux saw another vampire drop from the roof. The man - a fully-grown adult, much larger than either of them - slammed Hux to the ground forcefully, knocking his head against the pavement, then lunged at the man, screaming, “BLOOD!”

“You want this?” the man said, effortlessly dodging and pulling out a blood-bag from his jacket - Hux mentally thought wait what? - and then the man taunted “Come and get it!”

The man - clearly a vampire, holding his own very well - smashed blows against the other, raging punches and dodging attacks so fast that Hux’s eyes could barely follow. He wasn’t sure if he needed to help the man or run when he felt big hands wrap around his mouth and waist, and a long tongue pressed against his neck.

“Mmm… so long since I’ve drunk from one of our kind,” an old, gravely voice whispered, “but you seem sweet and ripe. So young. A perfect feast.”

Hux bit through the man’s hand, and he cursed, giving Hux the chance to scream and kick and hiss, in no particular order.

The handsome vampire took down the bigger one - damn - and looked over, seeing Hux struggling. Hux looked away from him, and kicked the old man between his legs. He knew better than to ask for help from other vampires. He hissed at the older one, and swung his claws towards him.

The old vampire whispered, “Stay still.”

Hux froze against his own will. What - what was happening? Why couldn’t he move?

The old vampire inched toward him, fangs extended. Hux could do nothing but close his eyes, his body betraying him. Suddenly, the handsome vampire crashed into the older one, slashing at his chest with a stake.

The older one ran instantly, the spell over Hux breaking, and the other vampire said “Beat it, Palpatine!”

“What… who…?” Hux asked, still feeling a little groggy.

“I’m Kylo,” the man introduced. “You?”

“Armitage of the Hux coven,” he answered, accepting the other’s hand.

“The Hux coven, huh? You must be some threat for Palpatine to target you,” Kylo said, eyeing him up more clearly.

“We’re not that important,” he confessed, “at least, not as much as the Skywalkers.”

“Fuck the Skywalkers,” Kylo brashly spat out. “Luke in particular. Anakin’s alright, but he retired ages ago.”

Hux gave the man another appreciative look, finally glad other vampires were sticking up to the Skywalker regime.

“...Did you still wanna spend the night?” he asked, feeling bold. “After all, you never know when he might be back for more.”

Kylo smirked, wrapping a possessive hand around Hux’s waist.

“Maybe I could convince you to join our covens together,” he suavely suggested.

“Mm? And which coven would that be?”

“The vampire slayers of Ren,” Kylo said.
